They arrived back at the academy after reuploading their battle moves again and were immediately called to the courtyard by the Director.
"I hope we're not in tro…" Ashley said when she was tackled by a yellow blur.
"Pika Pi, Pikapi!" the blur said, revealing it was Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" Ashley called, before they looked around and saw all of Ashley and Chloe's old Pokémon were here. With Director Clavell in front.
"It's good to see you are okay from your adventure in Area Zero," he said with a raised eyebrow causing them to flinch. "Still we will leave that be since you did save everyone. As for this, your Pokémon partners finally woke up and so were sent here."
"I'm so glad everyone's okay." Ashley said with happy tears as Chloe reunited with Eevee and Yamper. "I was so worried about you all." She smiled as Pikachu took his usual place on her shoulder. "I'm so glad that you're ok buddy!" she said while petting the top of his head.
"Yeah, she really is," Penny agreed. "She would look at pictures of all of you every day."
This caused her to get some strange looks.
"Oh right, let me explain." Ashley said before telling them about her adventures. Though they were more surprised that Ashley and Penny were in a relationship.
"I want to battle her," Pikachu said, a look of contemplation crossing his face. "I want to make sure she's the right mate for you."
They even forced Penny to face them in battle to… prove she is worthy. Though they accepted her after she won it was a tough battle.
"Ok ok you win," Umbreon observed with a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "But," she growled with an icy glare directed at Peny. "If you break her heart, Pikachu will obliterate you, robotic form or not!" at those last few words, the dark-type eeveelution motioned to said electric mouse with a flick of her tail.
"Yes, yes I understand, Umbreon and Espeon." Penny gulped and nodded her head before looking down at the ground, not want to see the angry look on one of her girlfriend's Pokémon.
Chloe had to return to get her affairs in order with the lab her father owned now that is was both safe to do so, and she no longer had to worry about school. After the finals they graduated. It is why Penny could come along with them.
Ashley and Chloe would consider themselves sisters forever, though Ashley and Penny would remain lovers.
Although there was no more research tasks or school to attend, Chloe, Ashley (As Soleil) and Peny, decided to traval the world and revisit all the places that Ashley had visited.
