When I next opened my eyes the first thing I felt was suprise. Honestly I hadn't expected to make it out of the water alive. The second thing I felt was pain and that was followed by fear and confusion. The pain was centered in my head, my chest, and my throat though there was a sore ache through my entire body.

I was confused because I didn't appear to be in the water anymore and I was afraid because I still couldn't breathe, however that was fixed quickly as I started coughing up water.

Once all the water was out of my lungs, I gasped in air and tried to sit up but I soon found myself being pulled up and crushed in someone's arms. It took me a moment to realize that I was trembling and quietly sobbing.

"It's alright, you're alright now." Sam was murmuring quiet reassurances in my ear as he rubbed soothing circles on my back. I kept my arms tightly around him as I tried to stop crying. I didn't really know why I was crying, but I was also having trouble controlling the emotions pulsing through me.

After a while of being wrapped up in Sam's arms I pulled away though movement was painful and looked between my two brothers. "Thank you." Wiping at my eyes I looked down. "I got scared there for a moment."

"Come on, let's get you back to the motel and see if we can't get you dried off." Dean murmured as he stood, reaching down to help me up. "It's over."

The next day we were packing up to leave and I still hadn't told them about what had happened to Mr. Carlton. We'd spoken little about the case or anything else that was remotely serious. They'd pretty much only explained what had happened in the time where I was sinking under the water to when I woke up on the rocks with them. Other than that we were pretty much silent. I knew Dean felt guilty about what had happened. The only reason I was alive, the only reason Sam and Dean had been able to find me and pull me out of the water was because the Sheriff had walked into the water and let Peter take him. He'd saved mine and Lucas's life.

"Look, we're not gonna save everybody." Sam said, pulling his duffel over his shoulder as we all headed outside to the Impala.

"I know." Dean said, though he didn't sound happy about the fact. And he shouldn't be, even though it was true. We couldn't save everyone. No matter how hard we tried.

Pulling myself out of my thoughts I looked up and saw Andrea and Lucas walking over to us. "Sam, Dean, Cameron."

"Hey." Dean greeted as I opened the back door of the Impala and threw my bag into the car before sliding in myself. I looked out the window after a moment to see Dean high five Lucas before Lucas took off. A few more minutes passed before Sam and Dean got into the car and we were soon leaving the town and heading to find our next job.
