It took a few days since Naruto moved to the Nara family and was happy to move in, it was a feeling that was very welcome with the small Jinjuriki. It was the first time he gets up in the morning and had a father and mother that he could call them even though he was still embarrassed to call the couple in their new names. And it's not that they did not try, Yoshino was particularly insistent with the little blond. And said it was fine that he call her mother if he felt comfortable enough. Compared to his wife Shikaku said nothing, but you could see that whenever Yoshino talked to Naruto about the subject he was around the corner and listened with great interested. But the thing that pleased the little blond the most was his new brother, Shikamaru was the best brother he could ever ask for. They were playing and practicing all the time, argue and compete for the most stupid things and just enjoy themselves.
Yoshino and Shikaku tried to bring their new son an extra bed but Naruto refused, saying that he and Shikamaru decided to do a round will determine who will be sleeping in bed and who on the futon next to it every night, but what would relly happened was that to two boys had bets and the winner gets the bed and loser the futon. Naruto did not care if he won or lost and was just happy the competition was between them was so fun, and he felt Shikamaru thought the same.
As in every morning Naruto was up early just after Yoshino and went to help his new mother prepare breakfast without waking his 'lazy' brother. He honestly could not understand why his new parents always called him that way, was there something about Shikamaru he did not know?.
After the two finished in the kitchen they went to the table to welcome the Shikamaru and Shikaku that already sat down and were ready for breakfast.
"Good morning Naruto!" Said Shikamaru, and instructs Naruto to sit next to him as always.
The Jinjuriki immediately settle down as usual next to Shikamaru and finally the two boys thanked Yoshino for the food and started to eat their breakfast. With Shikaku that just smiled to his wife as he read some documents and did his paperwork.
Although the situation at home was excellent the situation outside the clan of the Nara was a different story, Shikaku got summoned by the civilian council to ask about why he adopted Naruto.
A few days before ...
Council Room.
Shikaku stood before the council with his usual expression, maybe he didn't look like it but he was angry. The civilian council decided to call him, without the knowledge of the hokage to question him about Naruto adoption. The room was crowded with merchants and ordinary citizens who thought they were those who run the village.
One of the people who were getting up saw him, he was a thin short man with ordinary clothes, "Oh Shikaku-san I'm glad you could make it, we were just about to begin the discussion" he said with a smile that Shikaku already knew from experience but no matter what he would not let these people to hurt his family.

Naruto and Shikamaru continued with their day playing in their yard with each other, they stood facing each other a few feet separated them. It was a day that Shikamaru did not expect to come so soon, but with the progress of Naruto it was clear that the blond was stronger compared to what he was before. Around the two boys were about ten clones of Naruto held in check and their sole goal was simple, to examine the battlefield from all direction so that Naruto would be able to move forward in his training even faster.
"Are you ready Naruto?" asked the pineapple head with a smile and stood in the same fighting stance he and Naruto learned.
"You can be sure I'm ready Shikamaru!" Naruto said with a smile and went to the same stance as his brother.

It was quiet between them and nobody moved until Naruto leapt toward Shikamaru with his fist that flew to the top of the pineapple's head, 'so predictable' thought the Nara and just caught the hand of Naruto and used its momentum to send the Jinjuriki to the air and from there directly to the floor with a 'Trad' sound as he hit the floor hard.
Naruto got up from the floor and looked at his brother with a frown, "What's the big deal Shikamaru?!, You didn't have to be so tough!" Said the blond Jinjuriki and scratched his head where it hurt.
Shikamaru approached his brother and looked at him with a smile, "Naruto..." he began to say with a quiet voice and then without warning he hit Naruto's head. "Why did you just want at me without thinking and without a plan, you've forget what we worked on?. You should think before you throw yourself on your opponent" Shikamaru said with an angry and preacher voice.
Naruto held his head in his hands with a sad face, "B-but you didn't do nothing..." whined the little blond srom his spot.
"Of course I did!, I waited to see how you will act and how to respond to you", said Shikamaru and gave his hand to his brother. "But I'm still sorry, are you all right?".
Naruto grabbed the hand of Shikamaru and got up from the floor back to his feet with a smile, "I'm fine!, I always heal fast!".
"Very good!, And do not forget your first mission is today!" Shikamaru said with a big smile, the day he was waiting for and planned so many weeks finally arrived. The delegation from kumo was about to arrive today to konoha and then came the kidnapping of Hinata and then the death of Neji's father. Many things could go wrong but he was sure of his plan and the power of his brother.
"Really!, its today?!" The blonde said excitedly and jumped to the air.
Shikamaru raised an eyebrow at the sight of Naruto's reaction, "I thought I hurt you" He said with narrowed eyes.
Naruto scratched his head in embarrassment and smiled at his brother.
"Anyway let's move on!" Said Shikamaru and rushed Naruto that expected an attack this time.

A few hours later...
It was the middle of the night, everybody in the house were sleeping quietly without a worry or thought. All but two boys who were sitting in their room. Naruto sat on the bed he slept in until recently because he managed to get a hit on Shikamaru during their training time, Shikamaru faced his brother and began to explain his mission to him.
"Naruto, this is your first mission... and even if we in our village you can not relax and have to take it seriously from the beginning to the end!" He said, determined to make Naruto understand how important the mission is.
Naruto took a deep breath and then looked at Shikamaru's eyes firmly "Okay, I'm listening Shikamaru".
"Your mission is to go outside our compound without no one that will see you, and then you need to move around the village without been seen, you can use what you know to complete the task. And once your done you need to enter the forest I told you about, and after you get the scroll I put there you have to get back hare!" He took a breath of air time as Naruto listened to every word he said. "In a real mission anything can go wrong, you should be prepared for everything!" He finally finished.
"I understand!, and I will not disappoint you!" Naruto said after he got prepared for the job and moved out of the window he was wearing a black shirt and pants that belong to Shikamaru.
"Good luck!" Said Shikamaru and watched as Naruto nodded and left the room through the window.

It was quiet for a few seconds before Shikamaru fell with his back on the bed and looked at the ceiling, 'so now my real mission begins' he said to himself anxious and relaxed at the same time. He was worried that something would go wrong and not as he planned, but the same time he was sure his new brother will succeed in his mission. He stretched his arms into the air and then got out of bed, "I guess it's time I move to my location..." he said to himself and disappeared in a shunshine.

Naruto was still at the height of his mission, his first task even if he was not a ninja yet. He was able to leave the complex of his new home without any problem, the blonde Jinjuriki had a talent for stealth and it was clear by the fact that he manage to move without being seen. After he finished to successfully leave the house and go out came the hard part of the task that was to go through his village at a late hour when there were still some people on the streets.
'What do I do now?' Naruto thought as he was in an alley between two houses and watched people who moved past him, most of them were ordinary citizens, and the other were ninjas that just walked around the village. 'This is not good, I can get away from ordinary people no problem but ninjas are a different story!' He scratched his head, trying to find a solution that will not cause him to be caught or fail. After a few seconds he continued to watch people who repeatedly moved and got an idea, the little blond pressed his fingers and whispered the Jutsu 'henge'.
'Poof!'
With smoke that appeared around him the blond boy was gone, and replaced by a tall adult with brown hair and green eyes wearing brown pants and a black shirt. He finally came out of the alley after he took a deep breath. He started to walk around, 'infiltration has been successful!' Naruto thought and began to walk around the village without anyone noticing him. After he completed to move in the village he came to the entrance to the forest where he was supposed to get the scroll that his brother Shikamaru hid.
He had already returned to his normal appearance and walked into the forest looking around again and again,'if I were a scroll where would I be hiding?' The forest was filled with huge trees that hid the sky and caused it to appear dark and scary even more than usual. But Naruto did not give up and continued to look for the scroll to complete his first mission.
...
'Crash!'
The blonde heard the sound of something hitting the floor and noticed something that moved beyond the corner of his eye next to a few trees, he immediately hid himself behind some tree trunks and watched. What emerged to Naruto's eyes was a tall man older than him, he was dressed in dark blue clothes that were hard to see in the woods. On his sleeve Naruto saw an odd sign he did not recognize. The stranger set next to a large bag he thrown to the grassy ground. "That'll teach you to talk wane I told you to shut up!" He talked to himself and looked at the bag. Naruto was bit scared by the man's voice that began to mutter to himself and was about to turn and leave before he heard a weak voice.
"mmmfff..."
The voice was weak and came out of the bag that the man threw next to him, the bag started to move and surprised Naruto that still watched in silence and confusion to what happened in-front of him. The man approached the bag and opened it with a single pull. Naruto's eyes opened in horror as he saw what was inside the bag, 'A g-girl?!' a girl as old as Naruto was discovered to his eyes she had short dark blue hair that reached down to her neck, she was wearing what looked like pajamas and her eyes were covered with a piece of cloth and another one in her mouth to shut her up. She looked like was scared and was shaking a lot, Naruto could see tears that fell on the blindfold and moisten the cloth. She tried to get away and crawl out of a large bag wane a hand grabbed the shirt of her pajamas and pushed back inside.
"Now be quiet until we get out of the village and cross the border!" The man said with a wicked smile, "I will get a huge reward when I give you to the raikage!" He finished tying the bag and lifted him back to his shoulder before something blurry reached behind him and hit him with great force causing him to crash on a tree and at the same time drop down the sack. "What th-" he began to say before he noticed the blond boy who was dressed in black and stood between him and the bag with a very angry look. "What are you doing boy?!" The man said coughing and breathing havely.
...
Naruto just looked at the man angrily and refuses to budge, "Who are you, anyway?!, What are you doing here?!" Naruto asked.
The man began to move to Jinjuriki with a smile, "I'm just going through here, and I am in a her-".
"To take this girl out to your village?" Naruto asked, watching the stranger's expression changed immediately.
The man's face changed from a smile to a frown, "So you did hear me, shame now I have to make sure that you do not talk to anyone about me!" He said and pulled one Kunai out of his sleeve.
Naruto prepared himself for an attack that he learned from Shikamaru, he stood still and waited for the attack from his armed opponent that began to run at him quickly and threw the kunai he held at the blond. Naruto saw the Kunai flying to him and was about to hurt him before he moved to just as the Kunai missed him by inches and lodged in a tree behind him. 'That was too close!' He looked back at his opponent that did not hesitate and took three other Kunai to replace the one he threw. The blond pressed his fingers and mumbled something before he felt something stuck in his chest and fell to the floor.
The stranger looked the the Jinjuriki's body that was on the floor, he smiled to himself as he saw the boy who hurt him and got in the way of his mission on the ground dead with three kunai that were lodged in his chest. On his face was an expression of confusion and horror, "too bad, he could have grow to be one impressive ninja if he wasn't trying to take somebody like me on. I guess it doesn't matter now, just need to dispose of his body and then continue with the mission-" before he could finish his sentence he heard a sound and turned his head to the blonde's body.
'Poof!'
Naruto's body disappeared with smoke and instead showed a log which was stuck the kunai "he changed to a replacement?!, how does a kid know a jutsu like that!?" before he finished talking Naruto appeared behind him and kicked him in the head as hard as he could, the blow was strong enough to crush the stranger to the floor with a loud 'crack'.
The stranger's head turned and he felt pain in the back of his head from Naruto's kick, he began to get up from the ground and looked into the direction of Jinjuriki who was standing a few feet away holding the bag in which the kidnapped girl was in, "what are you doing?!" he shouted angrily to the little boy.
"I'm taking her back to the village and telling everyone about that you tried to kidnap her" said Naruto and without waiting another second he began to run into the Woods in high speed.
The stranger finally stood up and looked towards the direction that Naruto disappeared to "stupid kid" he said with a smile, "the village is in the other direction, you have saved me the hassle to carry the girl to the border!" he finished picking up the kunai he threw "maybe I underestimated you because you're a little boy, but don't worry I will get you back for getting in my way!" he finished and began to run quickly to the same direction in which the blond boy took in order to eliminate him and get his prize back.
The stranger continued to progress as fast as he could and still failed to get the blond who keeps moving, 'he's still not ready to give up up huh?' he thought for a moment before he felt his prize carrier that came to a full stop. 'Finally you run out of steam!, it's about damn time!' he thought before he made it to Naruto who was sitting on a log with the sack next to him.
"Your still after me?, I thought you had given up" said the Jinjuriki between breaths, he was tired and looked like he could barely move. "W-what do you want with her, who is she anyway?!" Naruto asked angrily and pointed to the bag that contained the girl.
The stranger looked at the bag and Naruto with a smile and threw a kunai that hit right on target.
"Gaaa!" Naruto screamed in pain and was holding the kunai that sticking in his belly, tears streamed from his eyes and tried to desperately to pull the blade of his body but failed as the pain was too intense and screamed into the night again.
After the stranger inspected that the boy in-front of him was the real one he smiled and began to get closer to the blonde looked at him with fear and began crawling away, "I'm surprised you don't know who she is, or even who I am. I was one of the delegates from kumo who signed a peace accord with your pathetic village" said the man and looked at the bag which was his prize, "and who she is you don't need to worry, because once I pass her to my superiors she will be the property of kumo!" he said and started to walk to the bag.
The representative was going to pick up the bag and begin to move before the bag exploded with a lot of smoke, "what th-" he began to say before he saw a blond boy who came safely out of the bag while the blond he hit and was wounded smiled and disappeared. "Y-you?, b-but you were?" said the kidnapper stuttering while trying to understand what happened. "W-where is she?" he demanded angrily as Naruto simply smiled to him without a care in the world.
"Where she? she is with the boss of course!" said the Jinjuriki.
"T-the boss?".
"Right when the boss kicked you down, he took the girl back to the village as we were leading you back to the border!, and you even you told me your plan!" said Naruto and began to laugh out loud, "are you really a ninja, or is it that kumo letting everyone become a ninja?".
The kidnaper from kumo grabbed Naruto and picked him up from his neck and put him into a tree, "even if you took her I could return her without any problem after I'm finish with you!" is finished and placed the kunai next to the blonde's neck.
"..." Naruto just paused and looked at his enemy.
"What is it?, afraid? well it's too late for that!".
"Aer you really a ninja?" said Naruto with serious look. "You still don't get it?".
"What are you talking about?!".
"I am a clone!" said Naruto with a big smile and waved with one of his hands towards his attacker before he disappeared with a 'poof' in-front the eyes of the kidnapper that was still in place without moving.
...
...
"GAAAA!" was the cry of the ninja from kumo as he never felt rage like this before, 'how dare he!, that a boy like him played me like that!. I'm going to kill him, I will kill her!. I will kill them both!' he thought to himself and began to move toward the direction from which he came with full intent to kill the two children.
He continued to move for a few seconds before he stopped abruptly and stood in place without moving, 'w-what happened?, why can't I move!?' he tried to fight the invisible force that held it in place before he began to hear steps past him, he could see a young man at the same age as the blond boy that he swore to kill only a little taller with dark hair and black clothes.
"Good evening!" Shikamaru said with a smile and set on the floor in front of the man who stared at him in confusion and tried to resist and ignore the words of the young Nara "You don't want to talk?, thats fine, so I will speak for me and you!". Shikamaru raised the kunai that was down on the ground and began to play with it in his hands. "You must think who I am, and what happened to you". The Nara did not receive an answer but continued to look at the man who stared at him. "Let's start from what happened to you, I assume you met my brother Naruto. And it looks like he didn't take pity on you" a smile appeared on his face and he began to laugh, "and about the question of who I am, you can call me the substitute of the man who was supposed to take your life."
The former kidnapper still hanging in place tried to wrestle and resist the power that hold him in place as soon as he heard the name of the blond and the fact that the child in front of him was going to kill him.
"Your still trying to fight?, you can rest easy. I got you and there's no way you're going to be released", said Shikamaru as he felt the resistance of the kidnapper. The Nara stared into the sky with a straight face "you's in my jutsu and hear is where you finish your mission" said Shikamaru with hollow voice and began to move his hands constantly in a threaten way to the kidnapper.
The ninja's from kump eyes opend in terror as he spotted hands blacker than the night that came out of the shadows and advanced towards him, 'w-what?!' they wrapped around him and left his head out and turned him to Shikamaru. The black haired boy looked at him for a few seconds before he closed his eyes while the black hands that grabbed him and pulled him into the ground as his muttering got silenced after he disappeared completely.
...
Shikamaru stood silently in his seat and looked to where the kidnapper was before he took a deep breath, "it's never easy, even if I knew he was going to die today by Hinata's father" He talked to himself and let the feeling go in his head and looked to the direction in which his brother had disappeared and vanished with a shunshine.

Naruto was still running with all his power to the village as received the memories of his clone that confirmed the fact that he managed to get the girl away from danger, he was still carrying the little girl in his arms and began to slow down until he came to a complete stop and lowered her to the floor. As soon as she touched the ground, she tried to run and was about to fall to the ground if Naruto didn't catch her from hurting herself "watch out!, don't worry your safe now" he began to say in a quiet voice to try to calm her down. To his words she stopped shaking and was completely srill. "Give me a minute and I will release you". Said the Jinjuriki and began to untie the ropes that bound her and finally pulled away the rags from her mouth and eyes.
She began to cough for a few seconds before she opened her eyes and looked around, she was still frightened but the gentle voice calmed her down, she looked around searching for the man who kidnapped her and relaxed when she didn't see him. She looked very scared and desperately hoped not to see the same man who kidnapped her again, to her eyes was discovered a boy with blonde hair who was dressed completely in black, but the thing that attracted the most attention were the marks on his cheek that reminded her a fox.
"You okay?" Naruto asked her without moving from his place so not to frighten her. "You don't have to worry about the other guy, we lost him a long ago and we are very close to the village-". He started to say before the girl stormed at him and hugged him without any warning with all her power. The Jinjuriki could hear her crying and he couldn't blame her, she was abducted in the middle of the night from her house. It's been a few minutes before her shaking calmed down, and she pulled away from Naruto with tears that streamed from her eyes.

The girl was silent and refused to speak, it was clear that she was still scared.
"Ahh, I'm Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki!. And you are?" he introduced himself with a big and radiant smile.
"H-Hinata, Hinata Hyuga", she said with a stutter in her voice.
Naruto could finally see her clearly, short dark blue hair with clear lavender white eyes. The Jinjuriki came to her and looked directly into her eyes, "Hinata it's a beautiful name, so like I said you can be calm now that I'm here!" he said with a smile.
"S-so you s-saved me?" she asked in a sweet and stuttering voice.
Naruto nodded "that's right!".
Hinata began to play with her fingers in embarrassment and looked at Naruto "s-so how do we return to the village N-N-Naruto-Kun?" she asked with a stuttering voice.
The blonde smiled and the pointed in the direction of the village, "we just have to go this way, we're very close!" he began to walk but stopped after a few seconds he noticed Hinata that was limping with pain on her face, he moved to her and got down on one knee with his back to her, "hope on I'm going to take you" he said without hesitation.
The poor girl has turned red and had forgotten her pain completely, "n-no, that's fine, I-I can go by m-myself".
"Your foot hurts right?, it's better that you don't go and make it worst!" he said seriously, but saw she was still hesitate. "Hinata, I won't leave you here alone, we will get back together!" said Naruto with determination in his eyes and looked directly into her eyes.
The Hyuga's face was a little red as she looked at the blond boy who saved her life and brought her back home, he was full of confidence with a radiant smile that was different from the usual black and brown she was used to. And just the fact that he was next to her made her feel safer than anything she'd ever felt, she was getting close to the back of the Jinjuriki and hugged his neck instantly 'hot' she thought to herself as it gave her a sense of security that spread through her body as she felt him finally stand up.
"OK, so let's go home!" he said and began to run without any difficulty.
Naruto continued as Hinata was still on his back for several minutes straight, it was the first time that he was so close to someone's age. He could feel her breathing on his neck and her little body that was spread on the back. The two were already about to reach the village before Naruto finally stop after he noticed something that moved with them, he looked to the place where he saw movement before he saw the Shikamaru that came out between some trees.
"S-Shikamaru?, what are you doing here?" said Naruto in confusion, "I thought you were waiting for me at the house after I-" he began to say before he remembered he forgot completely about the scroll and his mission.
Shikamaru approached Naruto with Hinata still on his back as she looked at him in horror, "you're supposed to get home by now so I started to worry and came looking for you?" said the Nara and looked at Hinata. "Who's your girlfriend Naruto?" he said in a joking and winked at his brother.
Naruto started to redden from the thought of Hinata as his girlfriend while she buried her face in the neck of her hero out of shame and murmured something that Naruto hadn't heard. "N-no!, I saw that she was in trouble and I rescued her!" said the Jinjuriki with a red face "We're just headed back to the village" he finished after a few deep breaths to calm himself.
Shikamaru stared at Naruto in silence, and finally he looked seriously at the two "exactly what kind of trouble?" he asked and folded his arms.
Naruto began to tell his brother what he learned after his kidnapper explained the reason why wanted Hinata, Shikamaru listened to what Naruto told him what he already knew clearly. The real reason that kumo sent the delegation for peace and what he heard, while in the future he read all the documents that were related to the event.
"But I still don't get what they want from Hinata-chan!" she didn't do anything!" said Naruto with anger.
"From what I understand of what you and dad told me, the man who tried to kidnap her was a ninja related to delegation they came to sign a peace treaty with our village", he was silent for a few seconds and let the information sink in the minds of the two. "According to what he told you, their real purpose was to kidnap her and take her to their village all along" side the Nara with his hands folded.
"But why? what did she?".
"To use her and get her eyes" said Shikamaru seriously while Naruto looked at him in confusion, "you can see her eyes right?, she is a part of the Hyuga clan".
"It's terrible!, how can they try to get her out of her House and her family for a reason like that!" said Naruto angrily.
"We can think about it after we get her back to her home" said Shikamaru.
Naruto turned around and was about to continue his progress to the village before he felt a hand on his shoulder which belong to his brother. "There is one thing we forgot, we have to keep quiet and not tell anyone that she was kidnapped" he finally finished only to see that Naruto looked at him with wide eyes.
"We wont tell?, why not?!".
"Just trust me" said the Nara seriously and looked into the eyes of Naruto, with his brother's explanation accepted he tilt his head onto the passenger on his back.
"Is that ok with you Hinata-chan?, to keep the matter in secret?".
Hinata that was listening to the two nodded affirmative, she did not understand the real reason but she trusted that Naruto won't let her get hurt.
"Ok then let's go back!" said Shikamaru and began to run at a speed that Naruto could run without a problem.

Hinata, Naruto and Shikamaru came to the village and finally into the area of her clan. The place was quiet and two guards were placed at the entrance but unlike the guards at the Nara compound, the Hyuga guards were alert and awake. The three were standing a few yards from the entrance where they were hidden from view and discussed their plan.
"So you know what to say right Hinata?" asked Shikamaru the Hyuga that already moved down from the back of a blond Jinjuriki and felt the loss of heat.
The little Hyuga nodded and began walking before she looked back one last time, "will I see you again?" she asked weakly and hoped to see Naruto again.
"Of course Hinata-chan!" said Naruto with a smile.
"Yes, we will come to see you tomorrow" said Shikamaru.
The two watched Hinata that began to go back to her home, the two guards looked at her for a few seconds before their eyes opened in terror when they saw the heiress of the clan walking outside at such a late hour.
"H-Hinata-sama!?, what are you doing outside at this hour!?" asked one of the guards anxiously while the latter went to call her father. He moved her in quickly and get other guards to take their place.
Naruto and Shikamaru styed for a couple of seconds and left when they saw that Hinata disappeared and was sure now that she's home and safe, Naruto turned to the Shikamaru with a straight face. "well, now that Hinata is safe, what are we doing here?".
Shikamaru began to go into the direction of their home when his brother after him "we will talk about it tomorrow when we meet Hinata, and I will explain to you both at the same time" said the pineapple head.
Naruto nodded and walked to his brother's side with a smile about the fact that he will meet Hinata again tomorrow.
"So... Hinata-chan?" said Shikamaru with a big smile and began to run before Naruto could respond.
"I-It's not what you t-think!" the Jinjuriki began to say with a red face and started to run after his brother toward their house.
