Hey everyone! I wanted to apologize for how terrible chapter 1 was written out. What happened was I had I had it written out, but changed my mind on some things and when I made the changes, I missed a lot of what was left, so I'm sorry for that. Sage of the Fairies Chapter 2: Naruto meets Fairy Tail
Naruto, Kushina, and Minato were walking out to the guildhall to meet with everyone as they would have questions about their son with where he came from and how they didn't know that they had a son. Minato and Kushina were nervous about how it would go as it would change things between them along with knowing that they have a son now.
"You ready son? There will be a lot of questions regarding us now with you coming here." Minato said with a nervous smile.
"As good as I'll ever be dad. It'll be a lot to explain of course with where I've been all this time, how I got here, and why now." Naruto stated with a sad expression remembering everything that had happened and how everyone important to him was gone, especially his fiancé.
The three walked into the lobby where everyone was drinking and fighting. The first one to notice them was Mira and Makarov who were surprised to see Naruto already up and healed up mostly.
"Hey Minato! Kushina!" Makarov called out stopping what everyone was doing to look over at them and were surprised that Naruto was looking much better already and looked nearly healed completely.
"Hey Master Makarov. This is our son Naruto and I know you all have questions regarding him and everything will be explained." Minato told everyone.
"Where has he been all this time?" Erza asked.
"Is he strong? He doesn't look like much." A pink haired teen said.
"How'd he get here?" Levy asked, as she was intrigued with the seals that showed when Naruto was arriving.
"Why was he covered in those injuries when he got here?" Mira asked worried for the blond something that Cana noticed and smirked at.
"Everything will be explained as for your question Erza, it's simple. He's been in a different dimension this whole time and it was called The Elemental Nations where we used to reside in ourselves until 19 years ago that is." Minato said.
"Uhh Minato are you crazy or something? That's insane, but what separated you guys if what you say to be true." Macao said thinking that he was crazy.
"What Minato-kun says is true and how we got here was, the Shinigami sent us here when we were dying. Gramps can even vouch for us as. What we use isn't called magic, but something else called Chakra" Kushina said flinching remembering the Kyuubi attack and how they had almost died.
"You almost died!?" Erza shouted along with everyone else thinking the same thing.
"Chakra?" Levy asked.
"Yep. Chakra is similar to magic, but different. You see instead of spells, we use what are called jutsus to do things. My chains that you've seen me use are made out of chakra entirely and not magic. I don't use them often or very long so no one can catch on to the difference, but there's no need to do that anymore." She explained.
"But it doesn't explain why your son was covered in blood like he was. What could've happened to you for that to happen?" Mira voice her questions in concern making others think the same except for a few who had an idea, but didn't want to be right.
"One simple word for that Mira-chan. War." Naruto answered getting gasps from multiple people with Makarov cursing for being right.
"War?" Mira asked covering her mouth with her hand and her eyes widening.
"Yes. It'll take awhile to explain so get comfortable. I'll do my best to explain everything so it makes sense." Naruto said as he began telling his story.
Naruto went on to explain how the leader of the group started a war with the five great villages. At first things were going well and we were making progress in ending it rather quickly until he was able to revive Madara Uchiha using the Rinnegan. With him back the tides changed really quickly as only one person could stop him until he had absorbed the statue that had the Biju sealed in including the parts of the tailed beasts for the two tailed cat, the eight tails, and chakra from two people who held part of Kurama's chakra. He became the Juubi's Jinchuriki and essentially the new Sage of Six Paths and things only got worse from there.
He went to tell how it went on for two years into the war with the masked man and Madara. Nothing had managed to work against them. Eliminating the villages starting with the Mist with them being the weakest of the five. The Sand was next, then Lightning, stone, and lastly leaf village. No one stood a chance against them. Even with him and Kurama synced and working together with Sasuke we were no match for them. They had killed off everyone he knew and loved. Tsunade Senju, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno, Gaara, Killer Bee, and lastly his fiancé Yugito Ni. Yugito was one of the first casualties with her being captured and having her Tailed Beast extracted. When Naruto found out she was gone, he threw everything he had to get revenge to get payback for her. They had gotten engaged six months before the war started, but could never find the time for it.
The last person that had been killed by them was Sasuke Uchiha who had awakened the Rinnegan due to being Indra Otsutsuki with Naruto being Asura's reincarnation getting his chakra giving him the Truth seeking balls. Before Sasuke died he gave his Rinnegan and Sharingan to Naruto making him the new Sage of Six Paths along with Madara, but didn't have as much control over his powers like Madara. The reason he was working on it so fast right now was because Madara and the masked man known as Obito Uchiha had managed to find him and had nearly killed him when Naruto had managed to get away with cuts, bruises, and was bleeding all over his body.
By the end of his explanation no one knew what to say or do. Everyone was in tears of what he went through and even worse his fiancé dying as well as that would break anyone. It just showed how much strength he really had to keep going despite everything and everyone being gone.
"Pathetic. To run away when you could've kept fighting shows how weak you are." A voice said.
Everyone looked over to see a tall blond who was 6'2, he had spiky hair and a scar over his right eye. He had what looked like headphones over his ears.
"Laxus! That was uncalled for!" Makarov shouted angrily for his harsh words.
He ignored him. "If your fiancé had been killed as well, than she must've been weak like you and weak people shouldn't be here. She deserved to die if she couldn't protect herself." He smirked seeing the glares from everyone.
All of a sudden the room dropped in temperature rapidly and people were having a hard time breathing. Everyone looked around to see where it was coming from and they could see Naruto growling at the man with him sending out his KI even Laxus was sweating a little, but kept his smirk up.
"How dare you. You wouldn't have lasted a minute against those monsters. To call me weak I can stand by, but if you think for one second I'm going to do nothing for insulting her. I'll make you pay for it and make everything you've been through look like a summer camp. You're nothing compared to them or Yugito. She'd easily beat you, but I'll gladly do it for her." Naruto said as his glare intensified at the man.
"You think you can take me on? Like some nobody like you could touch me, but if you want to suffer humiliation than I'll gladly hand it to you. This will also be a means to prove that you don't belong here in this guild. Meet me out back." Laxus said as he disappeared in lightning outside.
"I'm so sorry for my grandson's wo-" Makarov said, but he noticed Naruto was gone already and sighed at his grandson's foolishness.
"I'm sorry to say Makarov, but I fear for Laxus in this fight as Naruto will not show mercy for insulting his ex-fiancé." Kushina said growling at Laxus's insult.
"I just hope that Naruto doesn't go too far." Minato said with Makarov agreeing worried for how this fight will go as they followed them out.
"What a little bitch." Cana said about what Laxus said.
"That was uncalled for and inappropriate. How could he say something like that?" Erza questioned in anger.
Mira didn't say anything, but her KI was being released making others who were near her stepping away, while some were wondering if the she-devil was coming back.
Outside
"Hope you ready loser. This'll be over quickly as I have more important things to do." Laxus mocked.
Naruto said nothing, but activated his Rinne-Sharingan and went into his KCM immediately startling many as they could feel his power radiating off of him making them gulp except for a few who were in awe of his eyes and the form.
"What a light show and some crazy eyes. Not like it'll make a difference. You're still a weakling." Laxus smirked but frowned at not getting a reaction.
"Both fighter ready?" Makarov asked worriedly.
They both nodded with one smirking and the other emotionless.
"Begin!" He shouted.
Laxus immediately had lightning appear like a shroud around his body as he disappeared and reappeared in front of Naruto with his fist cocked back and when he was close enough, Naruto grabbed his fist, rotated it as he brought his foot up kicking him in the side of his face sending him crashing into the ground.
Laxus groaned and got back up as he spit some blood out of his mouth.
"Lucky shot!" He shouted as he tried again, but this time using his lightning to attack.
"Raging Bolt!"
A ball of lightning appeared in his hand as he threw it towards him grinning like a madman expecting him to win with this.
What he didn't expect was for Naruto avoid the attack and disappeared as he appeared behind him, kneeing him in the back getting a yell from Laxus in pain. Not having time to react Naruto appeared in front of him punching him in the chin sending him upwards with Naruto appearing above him as he held a familiar Rasengan in hand as he thrusted it into his back making him crash into the ground again this time creating a crater from the impact.
"Rasengan!"
Naruto approached the other blond as he narrowed his eyes at him.
"So you done yet? If I'm weak than what does that make you seeing how you're the one on the ground hurting when you haven't even touched me yet?" Naruto asked coldly making many flinch at the tone with worry especially his parents and Makarov.
Laxus seemed to snap at what he said as he roared in anger making Naruto jump back a little as Laxus stood up and generated as much lightning as possible.
"YOU DARE MOCK ME! I AM LAXUS DREYAR AN S-CLASS MAGE! YOU ARE NOTHING COMPARED TO ME! I AM NOT A WEAKLING LIKE YOU!" Laxus roared in anger clouding his judgement.
Laxus brought his hands up as lightning gathered above his hands making many gasp at the power it held with Natsu recognizing the scent.
"Why does he smell similar to me?" Natsu asked shocked.
"What do you mean flame brain?" Gray asked.
"He smells like a dragon slayer now that he's using it. It's different from the lightning he was using earlier." He said getting a sigh from Makarov knowing what he had to do now.
"You're right Natsu, Laxus is like you, but different at the same time. He wasn't trained by a dragon like you were, but had a dragon lacrima instilled into him by my son Ivan." Makarov said getting a gasp from a few of them.
"To think he was a dragon slayer all this time, but wasn't trained by one like I was." Natsu said serious with many looking at him in surprise not used to him being so serious like he is now.
"Be careful Naruto-kun." Mira whispered, with Kushina hearing it and grinning slightly.
"THIS IS IT YOU BASTARD! NO ONE MAKES A FOOL OUT OF ME! NOT LAXUS DREYAR!"
"Heavenward Halberd!"
He threw the giant ball once he had gathered enough power to it and it grew to the size he wanted.
"DIE YOU TRASH!" He shouted.
Naruto didn't do anything except for raise his hand as the attack grew closer everyone grew in anticipation with what would happen, but everyone was shocked to see the ball of lightning decreasing in size until it was gone completely leaving not only Laxus, but everyone else in complete shock at what just occurred.
"So you attempted to kill me huh? Better end this now before things get to out of hand." He whispered to himself.
Naruto went through hand signs quickly before he shouted making Minato and Kushina gasp in surprise.
"Wood Release: Wood Dragon Technique!"
Out of the ground a giant dragon made of out wood appeared with glowing yellow eyes and it struck him at fast speeds catching him off guard making him wail in pain and agony.
When the dust settled Laxus had cuts over his body and was bleeding a little making him groan in pain. Naruto walked to him crouching down to him.
"This is a warning you little shit. Never speak ill of Yugito ever again or next time I won't go as easy on you." Naruto said coldly making many gulp hearing that he was going easy on him as he knocked him out with a punch to the face.
"The match is over!" Makarov shouted and went to his grandson with a sigh.
"I hope this will teach you some humility in the future Laxus. I've failed you though." He said sadly as he grew in size and picked up his grandson lifting him over his shoulder to carry him to the infirmary.
"Didn't you go a little too far Naru-chan?" Kushina asked.
"Oh believe me I held back considerably. The fight could've ended as soon as I used Kurama's chakra, but no one speaks ill of Yugito and gets away with it. She may not be here, but I will protect her memory always. He'll recover though in time. Nothing that was done to him was lasting damage, but I hope he learned his lesson." Naruto said getting nods from his parents.
"I'm sure he did son, but next time end sooner because I think you scared many of the members with how you handled Laxus." Minato said.
They looked around and could see people looking at him nervously and looked away as soon as Naruto looked at him making him sigh.
"It's fine. I figured that would happen anyway, but I'll keep that in mind in the future." Naruto walked off leaving Minato, Kushina, Mira, Erza, Natsu, Gray, and Levy behind.
"Wow. To think Laxus would be defeated so easily, but brutally too. I know he deserved a lot, but I'm worried that he was taking his grief out on him too." Erza said with them nodding in agreement.
"He's strong. I want to fight him!" Natsu shouted igniting his fists grinning.
"Are you crazy charcoal breath?! You'll be beaten without him breaking a sweat." Gray said.
"Shut up stripper! I'll just have to train harder to beat him." Natsu said in excitement.
"You'll have to train for years if you want to even scratch him hothead!" Gray said as they butted heads glaring at each other.
"Boys!" Erza growled getting their attention.
"Sorry Erza, we'll behave!" They said in unison as they wrapped an arm around each other's shoulder smiling awkwardly.
"I'm sure he'll be fine with time. Let's just see what happens from here on." Levy said trying to lift everyone's spirits as she kind of thought it was hot for how he handled Laxus like he did making her blush a little.
Mira didn't say anything as she left to go find Naruto to cheer him up.
"Where's Mira going?" Erza asked.
"It's not like her to be quiet like this, whatever is on her mind, leave her be since I have an idea. Don't worry about it though." Kushina said with a small smile.
"I'll go with her too." Levy said following after the barmaid getting confused looks from everyone with Kushina smiling wider and Minato sighing with a smile.
"He'll be looked after with those two helping him." Minato said.
"You got that right, but we should head back in ourselves." Kushina said as everyone else went back inside.
"Never thought I'd see it when Laxus would be beaten, but I wasn't expecting it to be so bad." Natsu said wincing at how brutal it must've felt.
"Yeah, but you can't blame Naruto for what happened with Laxus talking shit about his fiance like that. Personally I think it was justified and got what was coming to him." erza said surprising everyone.
"Isn't that a little harsh?" Cana said.
"Not at all. I mean he talked badly of the dead and despite what he did to him, Naruto went easy on him, from what I could sense, he used maybe 30% percent of his full power." Erza said shocking them.
"So we have a monster like Gildarts huh?" Cana asked sighing.
"Maybe, but at least he has control over his power unlike Gildarts does huh?" Natsu asked making everyone chuckle.
"That's true. I do wonder how Naruto is doing right now though. Can't even imagine how he must be feeling right now." Gray frowned.
"Yeah. If what he said was true, than this Madara was beyond a monster along with Obito. I still can't believe that he was one of Minato's students. I wonder what happened for him to go through with the things he did." Erza said.
"We won't know and I'm glad that they can't get here. For now let's not worry about this for now. I need a drink." Cana said making everyone sigh and chuckle at the last comment.
Mira and Levy
"I wonder where he is, he doesn't have many places to go right?" Levy asked.
"We'll find him. He's still somewhat hurt, so he won't go too far." Mira said getting a nod from her.
They kept walking when they heard some shouting that was Naruto, but couldn't tell where exactly, so they followed the voice until they came upon a clearing where Naruto was fighting what looked like clones of himself as he was staring down the last one.
"Alright. You ready for this?" Naruto asked his clone.
"Ready boss." The clone answered.
"Naruto went through hand signs before shouting.
"Ice Release: Icicle Combo!"
A multitude of ice senbons appear shooting towards the clone as he goes through its own hand signs.
"Earth Style: Earth Wall!"
The senbons crashed into the wall, but Naruto pushed more chakra into the attack cracking the wall until he destroyed it hitting the clone immediately making it dispel.
"Amazing. To think he has control over two elements like that." Levy said in awe.
"He's incredible that's for sure." Mira said with Levy agreeing.
"Hope you two enjoyed the show. What can I do for you?" Naruto asked snapping them out of their stupors.
"Sorry. We just wanted to check on you to see how you were doing. I also want to apologize for Laxus's words and actions against you. He was way out of line and I hope you know that not everyone is like him." Mira said.
"I know. There's no need to be sorry." He said waving them off.
"Are you sure? I mean, you seemed like you needed time to yourself after what happened. You can talk to us if you want." Levy offered a smile that Mira followed with her own making him sigh.
"I'm okay. I got what I needed out of my system, but he wasn't wrong about me. I am weak since I couldn't save her. She was everything to me and when I heard that she was gone, it felt like my whole world was crashing down. She was my other half. My blond queen." He smiled tearing up thinking about her until he started crying again.
Mira and Levy teared up as well and went to hug him as he broke down crying for what felt like the hundredth time.
"I still can't believe she and everyone are all gone! Why couldn't I be strong enough to beat them? She didn't deserve to die!" He sobbed.
"Shh. It'll be okay Naruto-kun. She knows you did everything you could right?" Mira asked as he nodded not able to say anything.
"Then you don't have to worry about thinking these things, when you know you did everything you could. She'd also want you to live on rather than you beating yourself over it." Levy said cheering him up.
"We'll be here to help get you back on your feet. We are guildmates after all and we look after each other." Mira said wiping away his tears with her thumb making him show a small smile to them.
"I'm sorry for you two having to see that happen. I will do my best to live for her sake. We should head back to the guild as it's getting late and I don't have a place to stay at hehe." Naruto chuckled.
"Didn't your parents offer you a place there? I mean you can't afford your own apartment or house for the time being." Levy pointed out making Naruto sigh with the two girls giggling.
"Yeah they did, but I don't want to depend on them with this. I've been living on my own my whole life, so living with them would be odd for me." Naruto explained.
"You don't need to be doing that anymore though. You have family and friends here with you. You don't really have a choice though, since you don't money." Mira said with Levy agreeing.
"You two won't stop until I accept it will you?" He asked already knowing the answer.
"Nope!" They said at the same time with grins knowing that they had won.
He sigh "Fine. Let's just go." He grumbled as the two giggled.
A month later
Naruto had been with Fairy Tail a month now and things had improved a little for him, but he still felt lost and hurt with everything that happened in the war. He became S-class which didn't surprise anyone. He wasn't recovering much like he had hoped. His parents, Mira, Levy, and some others had helped him adjust, but it was those four that helped him the most as they wanted to get to know him and to help him move on what he experienced. He would hang out with Mira and Levy for hours and talk about nearly anything making the three of them great friends. He knew they were doing everything they could to help him and he was grateful for them, but had been thinking about traveling around and seeing what Earthland had to offer and what life would be like.
What else had happened was Makarov finally retired as the guild master and made Minato it making him the Fourth Guild Master making him and Kushina laugh thinking how ironic it was that he would be the Fourth Guild Master as he was the Fourth Hokage and now he was the Fourth Guild Master of Fairy Tail. Minato and Kushina had been spending much amount of time with their son in getting to know him and what his life was like before the war. Who taught him, helped take care of him, and such. It made them happy that he had people looking out for him despite how it had started out with the village hating him. They'd have to tell them thanks in the next life when they would see them.
Mira and Levy had loved spending time with the blond and how he would do anything for his loved ones thinking that he represented Fairy Tail without joining it. They were able to learn many things about him with some of the things being which Tailed Beast he was holding. They tried to help take his mind off of what had happened to his dimension and would talk for hours finding out how nice and caring of a person he was. How kind he could be as well as competitive like some of the other members could be. They would take him out to eat, jobs, anything to help him adjust. Mira and Naruto could bond over their circumstances with how they were treated as pariahs. Naruto and Levy would talk about runes and seals among different other types of magics or what other elements Naruto knew which was all of the basic ones, but she found it fascinating how Naruto would be able to combine them to recreate what Naruto called them sub-elements such as when he used ice against his clone. He explained how it was possible when the affinities for the wind and water elements were high enough to combine them to create ice. It fascinated her to know that it was possible to do so.
Now we find Naruto in the guild masters office with Minato, Kushina, and Makarov as he wanted to speak with them about something.
"You wanted to speak with us son?" Minato was curious about what his son wanted to talk to them about.
"Yeah. I want to take time to train my new powers and I can't really do that here. Along with traveling might do me some good in adjusting to Earthland and what there is out there." Naruto said shocking them especially his parents.
"WHAT?!" Kushina shouted making everyone stop what they're doing in the guildhall looking at the office in slight fear knowing the adult redhead was upset about something.
"I can understand wanting to train your powers, but that surely can't be it. Why else are you wanting to leave?" Minato asked narrowing his eyes at him.
Sighing "I know how hard this is to hear, but I feel like it'll do me some good. I've been grateful for my time here, but I'm not sure I can fully start to heal here, but out there seeing what's out there. Not only that, but there are some people who are afraid of me and my power and me being away will make them feel more at ease. Please let me go. I'll keep in touch and write letters." Naruto begging them to let him go.
"What about Mira and Levy? Have you told them this yet?" Makarov asked sighing when he shook his head.
"No I haven't. I wanted to get your permission before I told them about it." Naruto said not looking forward to that conversation.
"This'll be hard for them as they have grown attached to you son. Are you sure about this?" Minato asked with Kushina looking at him in shock.
"What are you saying Minato?! Our baby belongs here with us! I don't want him to leave again when he just got here." Kushina said as she teared up.
"Kushi, I think this would be good for him. He can get his thoughts and feelings together in peace without people constantly checking up on him. This is hard for me as well, but he makes some good points. He can use this time to come to terms with everything that happened along with growing from his travels too." Minato said giving her a hug with a sad smile.
Naruto walked up to Kushina and pulled her into a hug as she cried into his shoulder.
"I'm sorry mom, but this is something that I need to do. Please trust me with this. I promise to write you and keep in touch with you." Naruto comforted her as he rubbed her back soothingly getting a nod as she had her face in his shoulder still.
"If you're going to be doing this, I'll have missions for you to do for the guild while you're out there okay? That's the only thing I want you to do while you're away, so you can provide for yourself. Most will be A or S-class missions as you can handle them." Minato said with a smile that Naruto returned as he let Kushina go back to her seat.
"That's fine dad. I'd want to take missions as well while I'd be gone anyway. Thank you for this. I'll need to go tell Levy and Mira, and hopefully not die in the process." Naruto said chuckling knowing how they'll react as he walked out.
"Good luck Naruto. You're going to need it brat." Makarov said grinning looking forward to how that conversation would go.
Naruto stepped out of the office and now he had a harder task at hand now, finding Mira and Levy and telling them the news which he was dreading to do.
He spotted them talking to each other along with a few others that Naruto recognized. They were Natsu Dragneel, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, and Cana Alberona making him more nervous with the other girls as they had become good friends and something like sisters to him with them having tempers like his mom scared him to death. No matter how much power he may have, he'd never want to experience their wrath when angry and knowing all four women are there was making him sweat much more and making him second guess himself on telling them.
He was about to leave to go pack, but someone called out to him.
"Hey Naruto! Over here!" It was Levy who saw him with a giant smile making him feel even worse knowing that smile won't be there anymore.
He cursed to himself knowing that he can't avoid it now and would probably be best to just get it done with and tell them.
"We saw you walk out of the master's office. What did he want to talk to you about?" Mira asked getting a sigh from him.
"It's not what he wanted to talk to me about, it's what I talked to him about along with Master Makarov and my mom." He clarified getting confused looks from them.
"Okay? What did you talk to them about if it required all three of them? Is something wrong?" Mira asked worriedly.
"Nothing is wrong. I have something to tell you guys though, alright?" He asked getting nods from them.
"I'm leaving tomorrow." Naruto said simply.
Quiet. That's what occurred from the table as they were looking at him with wide eyes with Mira and Levy not sure what to make of it as they started tearing up making him wince.
"WHAT?!" They all shouted.
"Why are you leaving?! Why?!" Levy screamed at him as she jumped over the table and started hitting him in the chest with Mira still in shock until she snapped out of it.
"Naruto? You're leaving the guild? How could you do that when we were getting along?!" Mira cried as she followed Levy's actions.
"It's hard to explain, but first off, I'm not leaving the guild I'm still a Fairy Tail member. It's more of a personal trip for me really. As much as I've enjoyed my time with you guys, I feel like I'll learn and recover more while traveling. Like I told my parents, I plan to keep in touch with them and the same goes for you two. You have helped me a lot with my grief, but this trip will help me. That and it'll be a training trip as well as I want to train in my new powers and I can't do that here without risk of destroying the town. You told me that lacrimas can be used for long-range communication right? I'm sure I can get some for you two and Erza and Cana as well." Naruto said as he hugged the two women who had calmed down to sniffles.
"You better stay in contact with us or else there will be hell to pay! You got that?!" Levy shouted sticking her finger into his chest making her look even cuter.
"She's not wrong. I can understand, but you promise you'll be safe?" Mira asked giving him the dreaded puppy dog eyes.
"Of course. I promise Mira and the same goes for you Levy.
"Ahh man. I won't have anyone who can put up as good of a fight as you can man." Natsu whined with Gray glaring at him.
"I believe Gray is a challenge enough for you." Naruto countered.
"As if this stripper can be a challenge for me!" Natsu shouted in denial with Gray gaining a tic mark on his head.
"What was that flame spawn! You wanna go?!" Gray shouted as he punched him in the face chasing after him.
"Well there goes those two. I'm surprised you two haven't said anything." Naruto said looking at Cana and Erza.
"Oh I know." Erza said sweetly scaring him a little when they tackled him.
"YOU IDIOT! YOU'RE LEAVING US LIKE THAT?!" They shouted as Naruto was sweating even more.
"I'm sorry?" Naruto questioned nervously.
"Hmpf. You better come back so we can have a drink together." Cana smirked that Naruto returned as he enjoyed their contests.
"I'll be fine. I'm gonna go pack so I'll see you guys tomorrow before I leave?" Naruto asked as he stood up.
"Of course Naruto." Mira smiled at him.
"Wouldn't miss it." Levy said with her own smile.
"Goodnight everyone." Naruto said as he left the guildhall.
Once he was out of view Mira and Levy sighed heavily. They didn't want him to leave, but knew he would benefit from this emotionally and mentally.
"That idiot. Always worrying us like that." Mira said.
"That's true, but he's our idiot don't you think so?" Levy asked smirking.
"You two have it bad for him don't you?" Cana teased seeing them blush.
"I think it's great that he has their attention like this. He's a great guy for them too. Give him some time and he'll be with you two in no time." Erza said grinning at their blushed faces.
"SHUT UP!" Mira and Levy shouted making them laugh.
Next Day
Naruto was at the guildhall saying goodbye for who knows how long until he would be back, but he knew he would be. He was saying his goodbyes to his parents, Cana, Erza, Natsu, Gray, Mira, and Levy.
"You know I won't be gone forever right? Like I told you two before I'll keep in touch with you. Please don't cry." Naruto sighed as he was hugging the two women who wouldn't let go as they were sniffling into his chest.
"Can't blame them son. You three have spent a lot of time together, so it's only natural that they would act like this." Minato smiled at the scene.
"I know dad. Before I forget, I do have something to give you as a thank you for everything you've done for me." Naruto said as they looked at him in question letting him go.
Naruto went into his bag and pulled out two of his tri-pronged kunais making them wonder even more.
"I'm giving you each one of these incase you ever need me I'll be there instantly for you." Naruto said handing them each one as they gasped at the gifts.
They teared up again at the caring gifts and hugged him again with him returning it. They let go and kissed him on the cheek with Levy taking the left and Mira taking the right one as he smiled at them.
He walked up to Gray and Natsu with a smirk.
"Next time I'm here, we'll have a spar to see how much stronger you've gotten. Don't slack off on your training." Naruto said getting nods from them.
"Of course! I'm gonna kick your ass when you get back!" Natsu shouted pointing at him.
"Flame brain isn't gonna leave me behind and I'll show you." Gray said as they bumped fists.
Naruto walked up to Cana, and Erza next.
"Take care you two alright. Do keep them in line, especially the two boys there. You know how they can be." Naruto grinned ignoring the screw you comment from them.
"You know me. I'll always keep them in line. Otherwise no one would do it if not me or Kushina." Erza said as she hugged him real quick.
"Remember next time you're here, we'll have that drink and I'll win next too." Cana said hitting him in the chest lightly with a smirk.
"Of course. Take care you two though seriously." Naruto smiled at them.
Lastly he walked to his parents, but nervous seeing his mom tearing up with Minato smiling as he held her.
He launched herself at him as she cried into his chest while he rubbed her back.
"I'll miss you mom, but I promise to keep in touch with you and I'll be back." Naruto said.
She nodded as she stepped back. "You better be safe or else not even the Shinigami will stop me..." Kushina threatened as her hair started rising into nine parts like tails making the girls sweat drop, but the guys including Minato to pale and step back from her.
"I promise mom." He said as she nodded and her hair went back to normal making everyone sigh in relief.
He grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder and started walking.
"Till we meet again!" He shouted as he disappeared from view.
"Please be safe and come back safely." Mira said.
"He'll be fine Mira, he promised us he would be and I trust him." Levy said smiling.
"Let's head back everyone, I'm sure we all have something to do today!" Minato shouted getting nods and shouts of yeah as Natsu ran back to grab a job request.
A year Later
Levy, Jet, and Droy who was Team Shadow Gear were walking back when they had heard about their guild hall being attacked.
Levy hadn't changed a lot in a year, she had grown very little as she was still small and petite. She wore the same thing, but looked even more beautiful. She kept in contact with Naruto like he promised through a communication lacrima. She had developed even more feelings for the blonde and wanted nothing more than to see him again. She still kept the kunai he gave her for emergencies.
"We should head back and meet up with Mira and the others." Jet said seriously.
"I couldn't agree more with that statement. We can handle anything though. We're Shadow Gear after all." Droy said.
"We'll be fine I'm sure of it. I trust that we can..." Levy didn't get to finish.
A figure surprised the group as it attacked Jet and Droy knocking them out immediately leaving Levy terrified about her teammates.
"Jet! Droy!" Levy shouted in fear as she took a step back.
"Weak. You fairies are nothing, but weak. You are cute though." The figure smirked at her seeing her scared.
"Iron Dragon's Club!"
His entire arm changed to an iron club as he smashed it into Levy crashing to where he teammates were as she was barely unconscious when the kunai fell out of her bag.
"Hmpf, I'm not surprised with how weak you are though, oh what a weird looking kunai. Hmm whatever though." Gajeel said as he tossed it aside landing in the ground.
"Now where were we? That's right, I'm going to be sending a message to you Fairy Tail weaklings." He said as he walked towards the down group with Levy whimpering in pain and was terrified.
Gajeel never noticed a silent red flash appear where the kunai was as he picked it up.
Naruto had grown a bit in the year he was gone. Naruto was now 6'3 tall and his hair had grown to where it looked more like Minato's with his hair reaching his mid back. He wore a white shirt with the Uzumaki symbol on the back, black cargo pants, with black boots. He had a blue haori that was like his dad's with the kanji written, "Sage".
"Levy?!" He shouted getting Gajeel's attention smirking at the newcomer.
"Another Fairy perhaps?" Gajeel asked with hope it was wanting to fight another.
"Gajeel Redfox. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with your master kissing his ass?" Naruto taunted.
Gajeel growled at the insult and charged at him.
"You bastard! I'm here to show you fairies who's stronger! I'll kill you for that!" Gajeel said in anger.
"Iron Dragon's Iron Sword!"
A sword made of iron formed on his entire arm as he thrusted it at Naruto who just side stepped it, using his kunai to block his attacks.
"Stop dodging me and fight!" He shouted frustrated.
"Fine if that's how you want it than fine, take it!" Naruto shouted.
"Rasengan!"
He slammed it into his stomach sending Gajeel flying back into the forest as he cried out in pain.
Naruto would've pursued him, but needed to get Levy and the others to the hospital quickly.
he didn't get a chance to move as Gajeel appeared ready to kill him.
"That hurt you son of a bitch, but it'll take more than that to beat me." He said as he took a deep breath.
"Iron Dragon's Roar!
A roar left his mouth that was enough to destroy several buildings, but Naruto raised his hand with his Rinnegan activated as the attack made contact with him it stopped as it was disappearing being absorbed.
"WHAT!? HOW?!" Gajeel shouted in disbelief. His attack had just disappeared completely as he'd never seen anything like it.
"That attack would've done more damage to the people in the buildings if I didn't do that. For risking their safety and hurting my friends and someone I care about greatly. I'm going to make this painful for you and find out what your master has planned." Naruto threatened as he launched his KI at Gajeel solely making him sweat profusely in fear.
He shook those thoughts out of his head. "Like hell I'll lose to a fairy like you!" Gajeel shouted as he charged Naruto wanting to show him.
"You won't do anything to me or hurt anyone else." Naruto said calmly.
Gajeel was throwing punches and kicks at him, but Naruto was dodging them with ease.
"Stop dodging me and fight back!" He shouted getting frustrated.
"Fine." Naruto responded simply.
When Gajeel threw another punch Naruto grabbed his arm and drove a knee into his stomach making him gasp in pain dropping to his knees. He didn't get a chance to do anything more as Naruto gave a punch to his face and rushed him and ax kicked him in the head slamming into the ground knocking him unconscious.
"You won't hurt the people I care about again. I need to get Levy and the others to the hospital now and let my parents know what happened, but that can wait for now." Naruto said as he created two clones who picked up Jet and Droy lifting them over their shoulders with the original carrying Levy bridal style.
"Phantom Lord will pay for this." Naruto promised himself as he walked off.
