Black Heart glared at Rei with her blue eyes. "You got what you wanted! Now, let's finish this!"
Nepgear gawked at Black Heart's new form. "What the goodness?! Planeptune's CPU? Did Neptune get overthrown?!"
Neptune cried, "I can't believe I lost Planeptune to my own girlfriend!"
Black Heart blinked and blushed. She turned to Neptune and sheepishly smiled. "I meant substitute. Planeptune's substitute CPU. Sorry, I got a little carried away… I can never replace you, Neptune."
"Doesn't matter which nation you belong to because I'll be destroying them all! Take this!" Rei waved her staff and the sky shot down lightning.
Black Heart took flight and dodged the attack. She aimed her double muzzle at the blue-haired CPU and fired. With each trigger being pulled, she could feel herself being pushed back by the recoil. Was the recoil always this strong?
Rei extended her obsidian wings and used it to protect herself from the laser bullets. "What are those weak shots?! They used to sting more!" Rei blasted off the ground towards the black goddess.
Black Heart fired more shots, but Rei easily avoided them with a barrel roll. The black goddess stopped firing when Rei closed in on her at a fast pace. She held up the large weapon and blocked the clubbed end of Rei's staff. Rei smashed her staff against the Duel Revolver over and over as she crackled.
Black Heart gritted her teeth and leaned back, kicking the staff up as she flipped over. "Drop Crush!" She swung the large cannon and smashed Rei down.
Rei crashed down near Neptune, causing the purple goddess to yelp with surprise. She watched as the horned goddess shot back into the air to battle Black Heart. Neptune banged the spear harder against the black stone that trapped her body. It was slowly chipping away, but it was taking too long. Neptune looked over to Plutia to see the hole in her chest. It was smaller and no longer bleeding, but her complexion still didn't look good.
"Come on, come on! Break already!" Neptune kicked her legs around, thinking that she might be able to slip out, but it proved futile. She then transformed into Purple Heart hoping the added strength could break her prison. "Hya!" She swung the stone rod down and managed to snap it in half. The rocky shell that covered her right side broke away, freeing most of her body but her other arm. She tried to pull her left arm out, but it was embedded deep inside.
"I'll worry about my arm later. Plutie comes first." Purple Heart reached over to Plutia and dragged her closer by her leg. She opened Plutia's mouth and summoned a bunch of Nep Bulls from her inventory. "This is no healing potion, but it still has healing properties." Since she can't really open the can with one hand, she crushed it instead. The drink spilled over Plutia's face. "Sorry, Plutie, but I'm being desperate." Luckily, some of the liquid did get into her mouth. "I really hope this works.
"Hey, Neptune! Toss one of those spears this way!"
Purple heart turned her head to Noire who was stuck on the wall of a fallen building. Her legs dangled free as her arms were pinned to the wall. The purple CPU picked up the spear that snapped in half earlier from the smashing. She aimed the spear at Noire and threw it with great strength. The black spear made contact with the stone that was pinning Noire and shattered. The stone that covered her body also cracked and broke away, freeing her abdomen.
"Keep throwing them at me! They're made from the same material so it's the only way to break these bindings," Noire explained.
"That's smart, Noire. Do the same with me, Neptune," Vert called out.
"Even if you say that…" Purple Heart looked around her. She only had a few pieces of obsidian stone and spears to throw. The other black stones were too far away from her to reach.
"There's a few spears that were thrown this way by Rei," Blanc announced. "I think I can reach one with my free hand." The white goddess reached her left arm out toward one of the spears that were stuck in the ground.
"Great! Help me out once you free yourself," Vert said.
"Better to transform when smashing it. Regular strength only chips them," Purple Heart advised.
"Under… stood!" Blanc finally grabbed onto the spear and pulled it out of the ground. She activated her HDD and smirked. "It's a good thing I like smashing things!" She instantly started whacking the stone spear against her stone casing.
Purple Heart crushed another Nep Bull and pour over Plutia. Then she picked up a black rock and threw it hard against the stone trap that pinned Noire. She repeated this process until Black Heart crashed down from the sky catching her attention.
"Noire?!"
Black Heart groaned as she held her head. "I'm fine! I'm fine!" She yelled out when she heard the cries from her worried lover.
Black Heart wasn't fighting how she wanted. Before, she had Uranus to help her, but Uranus was no longer here. She doesn't have full control of this power yet. There wasn't really a way for her to train in this form after all.
"Are you holding back, Black Heart? Cause you'll die if don't put your all into it!" Rei shot black spears from her wings.
Black Heart rolled aside and aimed up at Rei. "Tri-Color Order!" She fired three times and it exploded against Rei. She jumped back into the air with her ponytail fluttering in the wind. She will beat Rei with her own strength! Even if she can't pull off her usual fighting style, she'll have to force her way with brute strength.
As the smoke cleared away, Black Heart was up in Rei's face. She raised her weapon and smacked the barrel against Rei's head. She then twist her body and kicked Rei away. Black Heart didn't give Rei any chance to recover as she fired out multiple large beams at her.
Rei cried out as she was struck by a laser. Black Heart then flew after her and slammed the double barrel against Rei's chest. "EX Multi Buster!"
"Raaaaugh!" Rei was shot down by the large yellow laser. She slammed into a building, causing the entire structure to collapse.
Black Heart heavily breathed as she hovered above, watching the building fall. She didn't let her guard as the dust and debris were flung into the air. When everything settled, all Black Heart saw was a pile of large metal and concrete pieces with shattered glass. She scanned around the rubble but saw no signs of Rei. She couldn't have possibly been crushed by the debris, could she?
Suddenly, a large metal beam fell over, and a few pieces of debris were thrown aside. Rei crawled out from under the pile of stone and dragged herself away from the rubble. She huffed out, feeling the pain in her back and head.
She stood up only to fall back on her knees. She clutched her head feeling dizzy. "This can't be… I can't lose! I can't lose again!"
"It's over Rei." Black Heart landed a little away and pointed her weapon at her.
"No!" Rei sat up and voiced, "CPUs… And their nations… They only bring people misfortune! And it brings the CPUs… It brings ME misfortune!"
"So even with all of this, you're just thinking about yourself…" Purple Heart voiced.
Rei looked over to see Purple Heart standing. She was free from the black stone that encased her. Standing behind her were Green Heart, White Heart, Yellow Heart, and Purple Sister. Ultra Noire was kneeling beside Plutia, dumping all the healing potion she had on her.
"Please, Plutia! Please wake up!" Noire begged as she wiped the tears off her face.
Rei denied, "No! I was…"
Green Heart inquired, "What makes you think you have the right to decide what makes them, us, happy or not?"
"I'm happy just the way I am!" Purple Sister announced. "I'm a CPU, and I'm surrounded by CPUs who are trying to do their best."
"You can only say these things right now because you are being favored…" Rei said. "Sooner or later, your nations… You will all meet the same fate as mine."
"Th-Those aren't your memories! They belong to me!"
Rei blinked in confusion. That sounded a lot like her voice. "Huh?"
Everyone looked up to see Black Sister holding another Rei by the collar of her suit. She slowly lowered herself and dropped the woman she was holding.
Yellow Heart chirped, "Mommy…? Wow, two Mommies!"
Purple Sister questioned. "Uni? And why is the other Rei with you?"
The other Rei let out a breath of relief. "Good… I made it before it was too late…"
"I saw her banging against the barrier when I was flying back after dropping Vert and Blanc back in Leanbox with the twins," answered Black Sister. "It was weird because she didn't fight at all. I almost blasted her head off."
Green Heart questioned, "Why have you come?"
The other Rei voiced, "I'm sorry, but the attacks over there had subsided, so I thought I would chase after you all. I thought it was wrong of me to let others resolve my own problem. But before I came here I was getting chased by monsters and the barrier was also keeping at me bay."
Black Sister jumped in, "And that's where I came in to help her… after discovering that it was a different Rei."
Ultra Rei nodded, "Yes, so it took me a while…"
Rei growled, "Why did you come here?"
Ultra Rei looked at her counterpart and said, "I wanted to talk… No… I want to apologize to you. I did something unnecessary! Because I pushed my ideals and past onto you, things turned out like this."
"Apology? Shut up!" Rei exclaimed. "Don't appear to me now with that goody-two-shoes expression!"
Ultra Rei yelped from her counterpart's harsh tone. "Eep! Sorry! I'm sorry! Please don't yell…!"
White Heart groaned, "Don't cower like that! Seriously, what are you doing here?!
Yellow Heart encouraged, "Be tough, Mommy!"
Ultra Rei took a deep breath to calm herself. "Okay! Um, so this was my problem, to begin with, and I thought I should take responsibility for it, and-"
Rei interrupted, "So you're telling me to give it all back now? Give you this power, these feelings, everything?! Don't make me laugh! You threw it all away! These… are now rightfully mine!"
Ultra Rei frowned."Oh dear, oh please, reconsider!"
"What should we do?" Green Heart asked. "I find it hard to believe that this conversation is going to end well."
"It doesn't matter who the power and other crap belong to!" yelled White Heart. "We just gotta beat her up, and it's problem solved!"
Ultra Rei defended her counterpart."N-No! This version of me isn't at fault. I'm the one to blame!"
Rei growled, "That's enough out of you!"
Ultra Rei gave a sad expression. "But…"
"Enough!" Rei stood up and called out, "Croire! Give me more strength!"
"Hahaha! You called!" A fairy flew down from the sky and hovered next to Rei.
"Hey, she looks like Histoire," Black Sister commented. "But smaller…"
Black Heart's blue eyes widened when she recognized the small tome, "Wait, you're-!"
Purple Heart gasped, "That is an evil Histoire. Darksty."
Purple Sister questioned, "Wait, wasn't it Badsty?"
Croire rolled her eyes and yelled, "Both are wrong! My name's-"
"Croire," Black Heart answered for her.
Croire smiled happily. "As expected of Black Heart. At least you know my name and we never met face to face. I applaud you." The fairy clapped for the black goddess.
"Stop entertaining them! Hurry and give me more power!" Rei demanded.
Croire hummed, "I can't really give more of her powers to you. She's a bit disappointed with your performance lately."
"What are you talking about!?" Rei harshly inquired.
"Oh but…" Croire smirked when her eyes landed on the Ultra Rei.
Ultra Rei took a step back in fear. "W-Why are you looking at me like that? I won't let you manipulate me anymore!"
"I can give the rest of her powers to you instead!" Croire reached out her hand and dark energy slowly seeped out of the other Rei.
"A-Aaaaaaagh!" Ultra Rei felt pain over her body. Like something was being ripped away from her. "Wh-What's happening to me?!"
"I'll be sucking it out of ya now, thanks," Croire voiced.
Ultra Rei screamed, "Ahhhh! No! Please don't take it away!"
A dark ball of flames floated above Croire's hand. "Okay, here you go. Some fresh-squeezed power of faith!"
Rei laughed, "Yes! Give it to me!" She absorbed the power and felt her strength return. "Ah… Ahhhhhh! Ahaha! I can feel the power overflowing!"
Ultra Rei stumbled back. "Ugghh, my strength is… fading…"
"Hehehe!" Croire announced, "Okay then, it's round two! Or should I say, the final round?"
Black Heart questioned the blonde fairy. "What… is your objective? Why are you doing all of this?"
Croire turned to the orange-haired CPU and said, "I promised a friend that I would keep it entertaining. That's all I'm gonna say. Now, give it your best!" The fairy disappeared into a pink swirling portal.
Rei crackled, "Ahahahaha! How dare you speak to me with such arrogance! Ten, one hundred times… No, I will pay you back for it one hundred million times over!" She spread her black wings and a red aura surrounded her. It washed over everyone in waves, causing them to waver.
Black Sister turned to her sister. "What're we gonna do, Noire?"
"All we can do is defeat her again," she replied.
Ultra Rei voiced, "Um, no matter how many times you defeat her, you'll need to do something about that dark power…"
"Do something, hmm? What are we to do against such a mysterious, unknown substance…?" Green Heart questioned.
"This time, you WILL disappear, CPUs!" Rei shouted out.
"No, we won't!" Yellow Heart yelled. "I'm gonna destroy that big dark thing!"
Yellow Heart was the first to attack as she summoned her clawed gauntlets on her arms. She threw a punch and Rei easily stopped her by catching her claws. Yellow Heart's eyes widened as Rei swung her around and threw her. Yellow Heart slid against the rocky floor and used her claws to slow her momentum.
Rei flew up into the sky and spread her wings. Everyone saw how the obsidian wings stretched out far, covering them in darkness. Then, multiple black spears shot out toward them.
"Everyone, scatter!" Black Heart warned.
"Not this again!" White Heart growled as she dodged the spears that struck the ground.
Ultra Noire transformed into Ultra Black Heart and deflected the incoming spears from hitting Plutia. "Damn it! This isn't the time for this! Plutia is still in the danger zone!"
"Nepgear, go help Noire!" Purple Heart shouted.
"Eh?" Purple Sister looked towards Ultra Black Heart and then to the orange-haired Black Heart that was in the sky. "W-Which Noire am I- kyaa!" While she was distracted, a spear grazed her arm, shedding blood.
"Nepgear!" Black Sister tried to make her way over but was having trouble as she had to watch out for the raining spears.
Black Heart flew down and pushed Black Sister toward Purple Sister. "Uni, take Nepgear toward Ultra Noire and protect Plutia."
"On it!" Black Sister didn't complain as she covered Purple Sister while they made their way to help Ultra Black Heart defend Plutia along with a cowering Ultra Rei that made her way behind the Ultra CPU.
Black Heart rolled aside as a spear struck where she was. The CPU raised her weapon and aimed at the enemy in the sky. She would fire multiple shots, but each laser was stuck by a spear. None of her shots made it up to Rei. Black Heart could only curse under her breath. She needed something to attack from above.
"That's it!" Black Heart was struck with an idea. "Neptune!" She looked over the battlefield, trying to catch the purple CPU.
Purple heart, who was busy in the sky, had heard the cries of her girlfriend. "Noire!"
Black Heart rushed to the purple goddess in the sky. She fired a few shots at the spears that were coming toward her. "Neptune, I need you to attack Rei from above with your 32-bit Mega Blade. My attacks won't reach up from here."
Purple Heart nodded. "Okay!" A platform formed beneath the purple CPU's feet and she pushed off. She sped up toward Rei as Black Heart covered for her. When she's close, Purple Heart activated her skill. "32-bit Mega Blade! Go!"
A large sword was summoned above Rei and it descended at its target. Rei glanced back and saw the attack. She quickly retracted her wings, so she can wrap them around her for protection, but she was too slow. The large sword hit her directly and crashed her to the ground. The raining spears finally stopped their assault.
"Nice one, Neptune," Black Heart praised.
"Save the praise for later, darling. That wasn't enough to beat her," Purple Heart said.
Black Heart blushed. "D-Darling?" It wasn't the first time Purple Heart had called her that. She just wasn't used to it still.
Rei shot out from the ground, flying straight at the black and purple duo. She raised her staff to attack but was suddenly knocked aside by a war hammer. White Heart knocked Rei toward Green Heart swung her spear and slashed her back. Rei let out a painful grunt, but she managed to twist her body and slam Green Heart aside with her obsidian wings.
Green Heart yelped as she dropped out of the sky, landing near Purple Sister and Black Sister. The green goddess groaned as she tried to sit up, only to realize she was once again pinned down by the obsidian rock. "Are you serious?!"
The purple and black candidates, aimed up at Rei, firing at her. Ultra Black Heart was kneeling behind them, checking on Plutia's condition. The hole in her chest had completely closed, but her skin still looked pale. Her body was also cold and Ultra Black Heart didn't know what else she could do.
"Oi, Rei! You got anything that can help Plutia?"
Ultra Rei squeaked, "Eh? Um…" She fidgeted in place as she answered, "I came without anything sooo…"
Ultra Black Heart growled, "Useless!"
Ultra Rei yelped, "Eek! I'm sorry!"
Ultra Black Heart pulled Plutia into her embrace, hoping to warm her up. There was no reason to take her anger out on the other Rei. It was her fault anyway. If she was stronger, faster. If she just kept her eyes on Plutia, she could have helped her. She could have avoided being trapped and fought by Plutia's side instead of letting her fight alone. The one that was useless… was her.
Ultra Black Heart let out a defeated whimper. "Plutia…" All she could do was hope for Plutia to wake up on her own.
"Aaaah!"
Ultra Black Heart looked up to see White Heart get pushed to the ground by Rei. White Heart struggled as Rei held her down by her neck, choking her. Rei had a crazed look on her as she slowly squeezed White Heart's throat.
Ultra Black Heart gritted her teeth and gave Plutia to Ultra Rei. "Keep her warm!" She then activated her wings and dashed at Rei.
While Rei was too busy taking pleasure in choking the white goddess, she didn't notice Ultra Black Heart coming. She got tackled aside by the Black CPU, saving White Heart from being strangled to death. Rei bounced against the ground as Ultra Black Heart rolled onto her feet.
"I'm gonna kill you for what you did to Plutia!" Ultra Black Heart yelled.
"Well, aren't you the revenge-seeking bitch," Rei chuckled. "I bet you're only doing this just to make you feel better about letting your friend die!"
"Shut up!" Ultra Black Heart summoned out her sword and charged. "She's not dead! Tornado Sword!" Her blade was covered in a rainbow light as she swung down.
"Too slow!" Rei jumped aside as the glowing sword hit the ground. Rei flapped her wings to take flight but was then bombarded by multiple lasers.
Purple Sister and Black Sister, were aiming at her from below, while Black Heart was firing at her from above. The three-range attackers, kept up the firing, not giving Rei any room to breathe.
Purple Heart activated her skill. "32-bit Mega Blade!" The large sword formed above and struck down at Rei.
The candidates and Black Heart stopped their attack. When they did, a large gust of wind exploded, knocking everyone away. A dark red aura surrounded Rei as lightning rained down across the city. The CPUs avoided the lightning and it chased after them. Purple Sister and Black Sister were the first to get zapped. Then, it was Yellow Heart, White Heart, Purple Heart, and everyone else. When the lightning calmed down, everyone fell to the ground with smoke raising from their charred body.
"I'm not done yet! Light of Domination!" Rei snapped her fingers and everyone began to glow. Then they all screamed as they exploded. "Ahahahaha!"
Black Heart coughed as she rolled onto her stomach. Her body was burning and her face was flushed with intense heat. She won't be able to keep Mode Uranus, no, she won't be able to keep her HDD up for much longer. She was able to beat Rei before, why can't she do it now? Even with everyone's help, she still can't beat her.
Rei chuckled as she raised both her arms. Her wings expanded out and everyone knew what was coming. They could see the tip of the black spears poking out from the wings. "This is goodbye CPUs."
The spears shot out, more so than before. The entire sky was covered in spears as they rained down on them. Black Heart could only stare with wide eyes as their doom approached. She needs to move. She has to protect everyone. Move. Move! MOVE!
Just what kind of mess have you gotten yourself into?
Black Heart gasped as she felt her body move on its own. She pulled her railgun and aimed up. "Dolce Vida." A gigantic blue magic circle formed above everyone, covering the entire field. Black Heart fired three times into the circle and it blasted out millions of blue lasers up at the black spears.
Rei couldn't process what she was seeing. "What?!"
Everyone watched with amazement as each spear was destroyed. Black Heart was the most surprised out of everyone since she didn't think she knew that move.
"Wait, isn't that your move, Uni?" Purple Sister asked.
Black Sister sighed, "Yeah… And I think my sister's version is much stronger… Makes me kind of jealous…"
Black Heart stood up and looked at her hand. That voice just now… "Uranus?"
Didn't I tell you not to use the dormant Planeptune Shares? How come you're back in Mode Uranus again?
Black Heart could hear the anger in Uranus's voice. It felt like she was caught doing something she shouldn't have, which was true. "I-It was an emergency."
Uranus sighed, I just can't leave you alone, can I?
Black Heart smiled, "Will you lend me your strength again?"
Well, I can't abandon you now after showing my presence again. I do need to get revenge for what she did to my beautiful Land of Purple Progress.
"Thank you." Black Heart smirked and summoned out her mechanical wings. "Let's win this!" A purple platform formed beneath her feet and she was propelled into the sky. "I was going easy, but now is the real deal, Rei!"
"You are so annoying!" Rei blasted out balls of lightning from her staff toward Black Heart.
"Uranus!"
Okay!
Black could feel her body move a lot smoother. Whenever she flew, it felt like the wind was against her, but now it was like she was gliding through butter. As she thought, she could only use the full strength of Mode Uranus, with Uranus.
Practice makes perfect, trust me. You will learn to use this power without me someday. If you manage to survive the shares poisoning.
Black Heart dodged all the attack that was being sent her way and closed in on Rei. "Cross Combination! X5!" She swung her oversized railgun and smacked her opponent around.
Purple Heart blinked. "Did Noire just use my attack? But with more hits?"
With her final swing, Black Heart back off and snapped her fingers. "Let's try this one for size. Bits Combination!" Nine pink magic circles formed around Rei and small batteries floated out firing large pink lasers. Rei yelped as she was hit from multiple angles.
"Wait! Those are my handmade automated floating batteries!" Purple Sister claimed. "How did Noire get them? No wait, she's using my attack skill?!" She turned to Black Sister, hoping to get answers.
Black Sister only shrugged as she didn't understand either. Whenever Noire takes that form, it seemed that she could use the Lastation candidate's skills the first time with ease. And since Mode Uranus was formed by Planeptune shares, Black Sister guessed that using skills from Planeptune's CPU and candidate isn't a problem for her sister either.
Black Heart moved into a dive position as a purple platform formed under her feet. "We're betting this win on this one hit!" She pushed off and swung her weapon once the battery guns stopped their attack. "Hyaaaa!" She slammed her barrel onto Rei's head and hammered her straight down to the ground.
Rei groaned as she tried to stand up. "Ugh! It's all over… I… Again, I just…" Her legs wobbled and she collapsed, losing consciousness.
Black Heart dropped to the ground and did a superhero landing. She held the double muzzle of her weapon up to Rei's face, making sure she was really down for the count.
"Mommy!" Yellow Heart ran over and kneeled down by Rei. "Are you okay?"
"Did you kill her?" White Heart asked as she made her way over to Black Heart.
"Oh, please, you didn't," Ultra Rei cried as she slowly looked at her counterpart.
"She deserves death," Ultra Black Heart commented.
"She's just unconscious," Black Heart assured Ultra Rei. "I didn't kill her."
"Noire!"
Black Heart lowered her weapon and looked up, only to have Purple Heart tackle her. Black Heart wrapped her free arm around Purple Heart's waist as she spun around on her heels to avoid getting thrown to the ground by her girlfriend.
"Neptune…" Black Heart smiled as she nuzzled against her purple hair.
"You were amazing, Noire!" Purple Heart looked up at those lovely blue eyes. It was a new look, but it was still the same person. She reached up to touch Black Heart's hair. "Orange is a nice touch, but I still prefer your regular white."
Black Heart only chuckled and leaned down to bring Purple Heart into a kiss. The other goddess didn't complain as she returned the affection.
"Miss Noire!"
Black Heart pulled away from the kiss which made Purple Heart pout. "Yes, Nepgear?"
Purple Sister walked up to the black goddess with Black Sister following behind. "That attack, the Bits Combination. That attack was formed from my handmade batteries and I don't think I ever showed it to you, so how did you…"
"Uhhhh…" Black Heart felt a single sweat drop. That was technically all Uranus, so… How did you get Nepgear's batteries?
Uranus giggled. A lady never reveals her secret.
"Waaah! What's happening!"
The purple and black CPUs turn their heads toward Yellow Heart to see her backing away from Rei who was covered in dark flames.
White Heart growled, "The dark power came out!"
The dark energy started to flow out and form a ball. The dark purple flame flickered in the breeze as it hovered above Rei.
"What do we do with this?" Green Heart asked as she walked over after dusting some of the pebbles off.
"Maybe I can just shoot it?" Black Heart held up her Duel Revolver and was ready to fire at the dark energy.
The dark ball suddenly started to swirl around and fly away. As if it was afraid of getting shot by Black Heart.
Purple Sister gasped, "It's flying away!"
The dark energy flew toward the unconscious CPU on the ground, lying a distance away from the battlefield.
"It's flying toward, Plutie!" Purple Heart yelled.
"Think I'll let you touch her?!" Ultra Black Heart slid in front of the dark energy ball and swung her sword. The flame easily flew around the blade and over the black goddess. "I missed!?"
The dark energy entered Plutia's body covering her in a dark red aura.
Ultra Black Heart shouted with worry, "Plutia!"

A blast of wind was produced and Plutia suddenly transformed. Everyone felt their heart drop as Iris Heart took the place of the shorter girl. When Iris Heart opened her eyes, it wasn't dark pink, but deep blue eyes with a bit of maroon. She looked at her hands and then down to her chest. A grin appeared on her face as she looked up at the other goddesses.
