Chapter Seventeen: Leandra
I stand at the desk in the reception area as I go through the papers for the last feeding party Heidi brought us. The sound of soft laughter echoes from somewhere behind me and I turn to see Felix and Demetri smiling at me, as they stand behind me. I raise a brow and look at the two smiling idiots before. Felix and Demetri chuckle and push each other a little.
"And what, pray tell, is so funny that you two are laughing this hard?" I ask with an evil smile.
"So, we heard something from Marcus' room when we passed by the other day and what happens not but ten minutes later? You came out ten minutes later," Demetri says.
"What were you doing with someone in Marcus' room?" Felix asks. Marcus comes around the corner and raises a brow at my sudden surrounding attack by Felix and Demetri.
"For your information, it was nothing and it is none of your business," I say and push past them towards Marcus. "Master, here is the report you asked for me to do."
"Ah yes, thank you," Marcus says, as he smiles a little and takes the paper from me. I walk with him down the hall and take little peeks up at him. "Stop looking at me or I will continue from earlier."
"Well, considering Felix and Demetri are now on to me with what they heard us doing yesterday, I am up for anything that involves you purring my name," I say with my head held high. Marcus growls as we walk into his office and he closes it quickly to lock it. I bite my lip when he stalks over to me and captures my face in his hands.
"When you talk like that, I want to rip your clothes right off you and punish you for having such a naughty, dirty mouth," Marcus purrs. He kisses my face lovingly as he pushes me gently against his desk. I smile and then turn my head from his kisses. "What is the matter, love?"
"Not here, I want it to be special for my first time. You know that, Marcus," I say. Marcus sighs and kisses my temple softly. "I am sorry, Marcus, I am always ruining it for you."
"No, my darling lioness, you are making the wait much more exciting. I love you and I am willing to wait until you are ready. For the meantime, I am going to enjoy making you squirm under my marvelous hands and tongue," Marcus says and purrs as he kisses my face gently. I smile playfully push him away when a knock echoes throughout the room.
"Marcus, are you busy?" Aro asks from the other side of the door. I gasp a little and then move away to unlock the door. Aro raises a brow when he sees me at the door and walks past me quietly. "Am I interrupting something between you and Leandra, brother?"
"Not at all, Aro," Marcus says. He has a hint of fear in his eyes when Aro turns to me and offers his hand to me. I bow a little and take his hand gently.
"I was thinking of matching someone with Leandra since she is a little lonely as of late. What do you think about that, brother?" Aro says. He smiles and caresses my hand softly.
"What made you want to pair her up with someone?" Marcus asks through gritted teeth. Aro looks at his brother with a wide smile and then looks at me.
"Why? It is to make sure she is not too much time with you and trying to live out her young life in being with the one person she loves dearly. I have also heard that there is a rumour that Leandra has to come to liking someone in the castle. I want to have our little Leandra happy and in love," Aro says while patting my hand. I sense he is trying to see into my memories, but is not getting far with my block on him.
"Master Aro, please do not pair me with someone. It is an honour, but I am already taken by someone," I say, as calmly as I can. Aro looks at the ring Marcus gave to me and my brain goes crazy.
"I can see that, this person must be a lucky person to have stolen your heart this quickly," Aro says. He lifts my hand and kisses my knuckles. A hard zap runs through me and Aro penetrates the block in my mind. Every happy moment between me and Marcus is played back for Aro to see. Once the little video is done playing, there is a roar and I thrown against a wall.
"Lea!" Marcus shouts. Aro turns to him and roars again. I get onto my knees and let my head hang in obedience.
"I told you to let her go and end that fling with her! She is going to ruin you and use you! End this now or I will get rid of her like I did last time!" Aro shouts at Marcus and walks over to me. He grabs me by my hair and pulls me up. "You disobeyed me for the last time, Leandra. You shall be punished and shall have no mercy!"
"Please, master, don't kill me!" I beg. Aro grabs my neck and pulls me higher off the ground.
"You knew what was to be next if you did not listen to me," Aro growls. I whimper and look at Marcus to see his eyes are full of fear at what Aro will do to me. Aro looks at Marcus and smiles a little. "Tell her goodbye, Marcus, because you may never see her again."
"Marcus!" I scream. My power erupts and sends Aro flying away from me. Marcus runs over and pulls me into his arms.
"Lea, hush now," Marcus says softly. "Aro, this is a warning to you. You kill Leandra, then you kill me. I will die with her because I will not lose my soul mate."
"She is going to hurt you and use you to gain the power she needs to form the rebellion," Aro growls.
"No, I love Marcus with my whole being. I do not want any power, just to have Marcus at my side forever," I say. Marcus' arms pull me closer when Aro stands up. Aro growls and then walks out of the room. Hopefully that means we can be public with our relationship now.
