When (Nice?) NEET's Finish Last, or Get the Last Laugh

Chapter 9: Tranquility Girl:

{|} Alternate Ending {|}

"Wait, I see something up ahead."

Darkness then pointed to the strange shape I could just barely make out not to far ahead of us, partially concealed behind some of the trees along the forested path.

"Let's get a little bit closer, see if we can get a better view of whatever it could be. Stay cautious as we may find ourselves needing to fight."

The girls nod as we slowly draw closer and closer to the strange shape till there was just enough of it to be seen clearly for identification.

It had the appearance of a small child, a girl perhaps eight to ten years of age. She was sitting on the ground, signs of injury on her legs in the form of blood-soaked bandages alerted us to her current state of being. She then happens to turn her head towards us and shows a relieved smile as she starts waving her hand while crying out-

"Someone finally came. Please, won't you help me?"

Almost immediately, the four of us began to move towards her until I come to a sudden stop, bringing both my hands up to stop the others which makes them stop and earns me a confused look.

"Kazuma...?"

"What are you doing, you perverted NEET? Why did you stop us so suddenly? Can't you see there's a poor child on the ground over there, a child who is clearly injured. I get it, you saw this as a chance to feel us all up with what you just did."

Aqua's words makes Megumin and Darkness send me annoyed glares. I quickly shake my head in defense of myself while frantically saying-

"That's not it, I swear. Look, my Enemy Detection skill just went off as we got closer to than little girl. I hate to say this, but I think she may be a monster in disguise."

"You can't be serious?"

"Are you sure you just aren't detecting the beast that hurt the girl nearby, Kazuma?"

asked Aqua and Megumin while Darkness was already scanning the area; probably keeping an eye out for any sudden attacks. I also do a quick scan of the area then I look back at the girl again.

"I'm sure it's her. My skills reaction is at its strongest when my eyes on focused solely on her."

"I don't know. Are you absolutely sure about that, Kazuma?"

asked Darkness. As the girls shifted between sending sad looks towards the girl ahead of us to looking towards me with doubtful expressions, I reach into my adventurer's pouch and pull out the local map we were using to guide us through the area on our trip to the Crimson Demon Village.

I then press down on a small symbol located at the bottom right of the map, shifting it from being a map to being a bestiary guide. I then scan the information and quickly find what I believe to be our mystery friend here. I then read aloud so the others would understand my caution.

"From what the local monster bio's say, this is most likely a Tranquility Girl."

"Forget that for now, Kazuma. Stop looking at some stupid map and look at that poor girl. Can't you see she's looking at you with sad eyes."

said Aqua, though I ignore her in favor of reading the information on this monster to them.

"A Tranquility Girl is a plant type monster. Despite taking on the appearance of a small human or elf child, it is indeed a dangerous monster. While it won't attack anyone physically, it has an ability to fill the air with a type of pheromone that will entrance those who breath it in; inducing an intense desire to nurture and protect it. Hear that everyone, now's one of those times where it would be really wise to harden your hearts and not let yourselves feel any amount of pity and remorse for it."

"Are you really sure about her, Kazuma. She looks like she's about to cry."

Wow, never knew Darkness could be so easily led on by a monster such as this. I mean, it's definitely not the kind of monster that can satisfy her personal fetish. I look back at the monster bio while saying-

"Probably just an act. Just stay back, all of you. Oh, listen to this. It says it will produce a strange liquid from its eyes that may make one thinks its crying tears. This is NOT the case. Under no circumstances should you ever allow those tears to come into contact with your flesh as it will only amplify the effects of its manipulation skill."

"But she's looks so small and helpless. Looking at her is making me feel like I'm looking at my little sister. Kazuma, I know you're just trying to keep us all safe here, but I don't think..."

I heard Megumin say but I ignore her as I continue to read.

"Once you have gotten close enough, she'll cling to you with her fake hands and with her roots which will slowly rise from beneath the ground. Once she has you in her clutches, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to escape from her without assistance."

"Kazuma, just look at that poor girl. There's no way she can be some lowly monster. Seriously, just look at her, waving at us while smiling so. It must be taking everything she has within her to show us such a kind and courageous face when it looks like all she wants to do is cry."

I roll my eyes, not surprised by how much of a bleeding heart Aqua was. I really shouldn't be seeing as it doesn't take much to win her over. For example, all some clearly shady guy would need to do is offer Aqua some fancy bubbly and she would follow him anywhere he wanted her to go.

The less said about "THAT" particular day the better.

"Everyone, seriously... I'm asking you all trust me here for once. Remember all those past incidents we've had to suffer through? Incidents that could have been easily avoided if you three had only just listened to me. Now, pay attention and let me finish reading to you guys what is said about this monster here."

I could see the girls sending me doubtful looks, but they at least stayed right beside me.

"Beware of letting yourself becoming emotionally attached as this will most certainly seal your fate. Once you're in its clutches, it will start to offer you fruit to eat. However, this fruit has no nutrients within them. Instead, they will accelerate the depletion of your strength and vitality for the purpose of seeing you die quicker. Once you're dead, or too weak to move, you will be dragged underground where she will finally begin to feed on your body for sustenance. Should you ever encounter this monster, please waste no time in killing it. Not only for yourself but for all those who may follow in the future."

I let out a sigh before folding the map and returning it to my pouch. I then place my hand onto Chunchunmaru, preparing to pull it from its sheath.

"Look, you three just close your eyes and leave this to... me?"

I finally notice that the girls were no longer at my side. There was no need to look around as I already knew where they would be. I see them with the Tranquility Girl, already down on their knees as they were showing it much love and affection. I send them a deadpan glare while shouting out-

"You IDIOTS! What did I just say to you all? Seriously, why does this always happen. I ask you all to do one simple thing and you all always ignore me which ends up with me having to suffer and you three yelling at ME over things going south."

They all look me, sending me annoyed looks which only irritates me more.

"You know, that's just like you, damn worthless NEET. Always blaming us for everything. Maybe it's time for you to accept that if you were just a better and more reliable leader, we would actually want to listen to you more often. Maybe I should take over as the leader for once. I bet we wouldn't have any problems happen then like we normally do under your questionable leadership."

Excuse me? You cannot be serious here, Aqua. For one thing, you're eight out of ten times the reason why things become so problematic whenever we're out doing quest or just out in general. Megumin... Darkness, say something to her already. Surely you both understand after all this time we've spent together.

"Kazuma, that's... but this time is different. I'm sure of it. Just come a little closer and I'm confident you'll understand..."

Darkness then joined Aqua with hugging the Tranquility Girl. I'm surprised by you, Darkness. And here I thought you out of the three of them would be the strongest and most reliable at times like this.

Actually, I take that back. I shouldn't be surprised here at all. I mean, after all this time and everything we've been through, you all still ignore my instructions and suggestions whenever your thoughts and feelings and suggestions are superior to mine own. You would think by now that would have changed but... Fine, I'll come closer but only so I can make you see what you idiots don't want to see.

I walk closer and I'm finally able to see...

"Everyone look. Her dress isn't really a dress but leaves that have grown out to resemble a dress. And look at this..."

I then quickly lean down, grabbing the ends of her dress and lift it up to reveal the clearly plant like body growing out of the ground. My action makes the Tranquility Girl squeak but that doesn't stop me from keeping her underside exposed for the others to see. I then use my free hand to point while saying-

"See... see, what did I just say. Surely now you have to realize that this monster clearly isn't a..."

My words are stopped as I feel a hard slap send my head jerking to the side, curtesy of Megumin who was giving me the angriest scowl I had ever seen on her face. The words that follow from her are filled with pure disgust.

"I can't believe you, Kazuma. While you've always been a foul-mouthed pervert who doesn't hesitate to sexually harass a girl when the opportunity arises, I also thought that deep down you were a man with a kind heart who could be relied on when it mattered most. But after this, seeing you do that to such a poor innocent child, it has to be said. You truly are, without a doubt, the evilest of bastards."

I could feel an eye begin to twitch at those words. To make this moment even worse, Aqua and Darkness were nodding in agreement with Megumin's words.

To be honest, in this moment, I had half a mind to just walk away and either continue on to the Crimson Demon village myself or more likely, just head back to Arcanretia and return to Axel while leaving these damn idiots to their deserved fate. I really wanted to do that, I really truly did...

But I know if I did that, I would eventually have seconds thoughts and come running back to save them.

I look back at them and the Tranquility Girl, seeing they had already seemingly forgotten about me as they were being all loving and motherly to the monster. I then see roots starting to rise up from the ground to wrap around them. So how should I go about doing this? Do I just go in fast and quick and end it with merciless stroke...

Actually, I have an idea. Perhaps it's time for me to see just what kind of people these three idiots of mine truly are. I then go to walk past them, not failing to notice their lack of interest in me. After walking about twenty feet, I stop and turn back to look at them as I say aloud-

"Fine, if this is how you feel. I'll go on ahead to the Crimson Demon village though are you sure you're fine with this? I mean, we did have an important mission ahead of us and I'd hate to be the only one to be seen as a hero should there be a need to save everyone becomes a thing."

Not surprisingly, they didn't budge though I wasn't expecting them too. Now, let's really put these three to the test.

"I can't help but wonder, though. Just what would the great Axis cult have to say if they saw their beloved Goddess being made into a willing slave for one of the weakest of monsters one could ever expect to meet. Oh, how they would be weeping if they could see you now."

Aqua immediately flinches at hearing my words.

"And then there's you, Megumin. I recall you once say that you would sacrifice anything and anyone, even a child, if they could offer you plenty of experience. Did you know that a Tranquility Girl is a decent source of experience. Also, how can you hope to master Explosion and become the greatest archwizard if you stay here to baby that creature. I guess I'll have to let your sister know you'll never see her again but don't worry, I will become her honorary big brother in your place and become her source of inspiration from now on."

I saw Megumin flinch from just the first half of my words but the additional part concerning her sister had made her start twitching and shaking as well.

"As for you, Darkness. While it's commendable that you want to stay and protect this girl, don't forget your dream. Don't you wish to one day be ruined by some powerful monster, to be shamed and broken beyond your wildest dreams by a minion of the Devil King. Hate to break it to you, but you'll never be able to experience anything even close to that if you let yourself become this Tranquility Girl's dinner."

I see Darkness begin to shake, making me smirk. I then turn around and continue on my way, saying as loudly as I could-

"But what do I know. You three just go ahead and stay here with her while I go on ahead and achieve all your dreams for you. I'll ask to become the new God of Water once I defeat the Devil King, I'll become the greatest mage who wields Explosion magic, and I'll..."

A sudden scream comes from behind me, making me look back to see the girls had gotten back to their feet and were currently going to town on that poor Tranquility Girl; stomping her to death as her cries grow weaker and weaker.

Once they had confirmed she was dead, the three girls then looked at me with hard stares as I smile and say-

"OK, now that the Tranquility Girl is no longer a threat, how about we..."

My Enemy Detection skill was going big time and the source of the danger was very much obvious now. Perhaps I should have thought about this a bit more before speaking up.

"Now-now, there's no need for violence here. How about we all just let bygones be bygones and continue on our..."

"KILL HIM!" (x3)

I found myself running for my life as three psychotic girls gave chase. Eventually, they would calm down and, after reflecting on everything that had happened, ending with me needing some serious healing from Aqua, there would be apologies from at least two of them over everything that happened... well, sort of. I'm not really sure if what Megumin and Darkness said was actually an apology or not.

On the bright side, we made excellent time with getting to the Crimson Demon Village... or at least we did until we ran into those female orcs but that's another story; one I really don't want to remember.

{|} Alternate Scene {|}

It appeared to be a girl, perhaps around eight to ten years of age. She was wearing a green colored dress, patterned all over by a leaf design. She had short green colored hair, green eyes, pointy ears, and tanned skin. She was sitting on the ground with her hands held over her eyes as she appeared to be crying.

Looking down, I noticed the wrappings around one of her legs, a style I had always seen Megumin go with for some strange reason, as she had multiple black leggings she could wear instead, was reddish in color just below the knee. Had her leg been injured? Was she unable to stand and walk right now?

Perhaps she had sensed our approach as she finally looked our way, sniffled, then called out to us with a pleading tone.

"Someone finally came. Please, won't you help me?"

Almost immediately, we all started to quickly move towards her until Aqua comes to a sudden stop while bringing a hand up to bar our advance as well. Megumin the asks her-

"Aqua, what are you doing? We need to get that that girl and..."

"Something isn't right. My divine senses are telling me that this girl before us is dangerous."

"Your... divine senses? Aqua, just what the hell are you talking about?"

I said, my attention going from her to the girl who was waiting for us to come help her.

Aqua begins to sniff the air before quickly pinching her nose, as if she had just caught the whiff of an order most foul.

"Yes, I can detect it clearly now. This girl must be some sort of vile beast in disguise. I'm getting the stink of a devil coming off of her."

We all just stare at Aqua blankly before I hear the girl groan from what must have been a sudden blast of pain she had experienced. Looking at her, I see she must have tried to move towards us after seeing our sudden, a rather cold from her perspective, inaction. I decide to throw caution to the wind and make my way over to her while Darkness and Megumin hang back with Aqua while Megumin says-

"Someone pull out the map and see if the local monster guide has anything to say about this matter."

Seeing as I was currently examining the girls injured leg, Darkness pulls out her map and begins to scan the monster bio section. After a moment, I hear her say-

"Hm, from what I can see, the most likely monster that this could be is a Tranquility Girl. Let's see, it says..."

As Darkness read down the listed information, I continued to examine the girl's leg and found that the injury did appear to be real. I could tell that the blood was real at least, even without pulling the bandage like leg wrappings away to get a better look. Once Darkness was finished, all three girls looked at each other for a moment before finally looking at me.

"Kazuma, I think Aqua might be right. Going by the information in that bio, I think that might actually be a Tranquility Girl."

"Did it say anything about Tranquility Girl's being able to create believable blood because this sure has hell looks like real blood to me. Anyways, hurry up and come over here, Aqua. Now's the time for you to show that you can actually be useful every now and then."

"What did you say, you damn hikki-NEET. I'll have you know that there is never NOT a time when I'm useful."

"Whatever, just get your butt over here and heal this poor girl already."

"I refuse. A goddess such as myself to be caught healing a monster... my reputation would be ruined to say nothing of my beloved Axis followers..."

"Ah... that priestess lady... she's part of the Axis cult?"

I heard the child beside me ask with a timid voice. I ignore her words as I continue to send an impatient and annoyed look. Aqua, for her part, just stubbornly crosses her hands over her chest while looking away in defiance.

Megumin finally steps forward; making me send her a silent thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt. After all this time, it's nice to see one of them finally willing to trust my judgment on something.

"Stand aside Kazuma, a good way back actually. I'll unleash my Explosion magic on that monster right here and now so that we can be done with this distraction."

Or not; should have guessed this was her reason for stepping forward. I could feel the girl grab onto me in fear, clearly shaking out of terror. In response, I place my hand on her shoulder and send her a look that says I'm not going to let any more harm come her way.

"Megumin, isn't that a little on the extreme side. I agree that it needs to be killed, as requested of us in the bio, but using Explosion magic...?"

asked Darkness. Megumin replies by saying-

"Tranquility Girls are worth loads of experience points which I plan on putting to good use. What, don't tell me you want to hog it all to yourself?"

"Guys, that's enough. Can't you see that she's clearly not a Tranquility Girl but just a normal girl who's injured. Now stop goofing off and make Aqua get over here to heal this child already."

"I refuse. No way am I not going to do that. Megumin... Darkness... don't let yourselves be turned into a bunch of bleeding hearts like Kazuma is doing here. He's only going to end up getting you both caught up in his stupidity as well and I'll have to be bothered with saving all three of you."

To their credit, both Megumin and Darkness were starting to have second thoughts from the looks of it. Perhaps their brains were starting to remember how my judgments were usually the right ones while Aqua's judgments had almost always ended badly for us... well, ended badly for me one way or the other.

Just as it looked like they had finally made their decision and had started to walk towards me and the girl, possibly to take a chance and at least examine the girl themselves, Aqua adds-

"Also, don't forget that you're taking the word of Pervzuma here; a guy who's very well known for his constant sexual harassment acts. I'm betting the only reason he's so taken with that monster is because she's passing herself off as some cute young girl. (sigh) Guy's a total lolicon."

Damn it, Aqua. I'm going to seriously make you suffer something fierce here later.

Megumin and Darkness had immediately stopped their approach as Aqua's words begin to work their magic inside their heads. Their expressions go from doubt in Aqua's claims into being deep and angry glares being sent my way. Finally, Darkness says-

"So, what do we now then?"

"I say we keep on going. If we hurry, we can make up the lost time this distraction has caused us, and we might be able to reach my village before the sun starts to set tomorrow."

"And what about Kazuma?"

"Just leave him. If he wants to become some monster's dinner, then I say let him."

Aqua's words caught Megumin and Darkness by surprise, making doubt once more return to their faces. Megumin then says-

"Aqua, I can understand your reasoning, but isn't that..."

Aqua quickly waves off Megumin's worries and says-

"Look, this idiot will be fine. Remember, we're only going to make sure everything is alright, right. Look, the bio said it would take three to four days before he becomes this monster's dinner, right. We'll swing back around this way as we're coming back and pick him up."

Seriously, that's really messed up, even for you, Aqua. Surely the others wouldn't agree to...

"I guess you do have a point. But what if we return and find Kazuma's already dead?"

"Look Darkness, relax. It'll all be good. Even if Kazuma does end up dying before we get back, we'll just kill this thing, dig up his body, and I'll cast resurrection to revive him. I doubt this monster could damage his body beyond my ability to repair and I'll send a message to Eris to keep his soul with her until we get his body up and running again."

"Yeah, but still..."

said Megumin, actually looking conflicted here.

"Guys, don't worry. It'll be fine, trust me. Have I ever been wrong before... don't answer that. Look, think of it this way. Maybe this experience will help mature this lazy NEET a little here. Make him more willing to trust OUR judgment every once and a while. Come on already. We're wasting valuable time and besides... don't we have a little sister to check in on?"

Well, that did it. Megumin and Darkness had finally accepted Aqua's words and after a quick goodbye and a promise to come back for me, the three of them continued on their way while I stayed back with the still injured girl who, once those three were beyond my ability to see, says-

"Those three aren't very nice people, are they?"

"They're a... complicated bunch. One's an idiot with delusions of grandeur, one's a child who likes to talk big and is stubborn as hell when it comes to her dreams and goals in life, and the last is a hardcore pervert role-playing as a noble knight. Anyways, forget about those three for now. Let's see about healing your injury."

I then begin to use my secret skill, Heal, on the girl. Her expression quickly changes from the pained look she had before to being one of relief which then shifts to confusion as she looks at me and asks-

"I'm confused, mister. If you know Heal, then why were you asking that priestess girl to heal me before?"

"Because she's incredibly whiny, that's why. I once asked her to teach me Heal, back in the early days of our team's existence. She refused, saying that me learning Heal would take away from the one role in our party she was actually good at. Honestly, I felt that having two healers would be a good thing, especially if we were ever separated from her while injured. But no, she was adamant in her refusal to teach it to me."

"And yet, you have it available to you now?"

"Because I've seen her use it some many times, have needed it used on myself so many times, that I ended up learning it naturally. She doesn't know that I know it though. If she did, trust me when I say she wouldn't let me hear the end of it."

"I feel really sorry for you."

"Thanks... anyways, I think your leg should be good now. Are you feeling better?"

I then stand while offering my hand to the girl which she takes. Once she was standing, she tests out her leg before smiling at me.

"My leg feels a hundred times better, thank you so much."

"It's what I do. Question: how did your leg get injured to begin with and why weren't those wrappings damaged as well? Did you apply them after the injury?"

I know that must be a strange question to be asked but she was sporting bandage like wrappings on both legs even though only one had been injured. Luckily, the girl didn't look annoyed as she says-

"Oh right, that. These are special self-repairing wrappings I'm wearing. In fact, all the clothing I'm wearing has the ability to self-repair itself. A nice feature all clothing worn by a Wood Elf comes with. As for how I was injured, let's just say never approach a baby Rookie Killer. They may seem all cute and cuddly, but they can still turn on you and attack without warning even if you're being nice to them. Guess I should have listened to my teachers back home."

"I see, I see, that is indeed something one should... wait, a Wood Elf?"

The girl nods before doing a little spin.

"Yes, I'm a Wood Elf. Call me Rui... wait, have you never heard of a Wood Elf before or... are you a hater by any chance?"

So, she's a Wood Elf then. That explains why she loves wearing green. Hold on, I thought all elves were supposed to have a fair skin tone? I better ask her.

"First time meeting, and hearing, about, Wood Elves. Dumb question, are there other kinds of elves out there? Where I'm from, elves are generally known for having an almost pale tone to their skin."

"Oh, that makes sense. The fair skinned elves are known as Snow Elves. There's also Night Elves who have light purplish skin tone to them."

"Thanks for telling me. Something still bothering me though. I wonder why Aqua was so adamant about you being a monster. And what was she going on about when it came to smelling something coming from you too?"

"I think I can explain that. She said something about the Axis cult, right? Those people are scary. The way they treat us and all because we worship the goddess of nature instead of the goddess of water they follow. I've been told my kind's ancestors were cursed by the Axis cultist to always set off a warning alarm inside their heads, to smell bad if they sniffed us. It's a way to make sure they never associate with our kind by accident."

Why does that not surprise me. That sounds like something a follower of Aqua's would do. In fact, I'm surprised they haven't cursed the Eris sect... or have they? Just as I was going to ask about that...

"Rui... Lady Rui, where are you..."

came a voice crying out in the distance. Rui calls out to that voice and a few moments later, an older elf arrives. After being told what happened, I was thanked for helping Rui out when she was in need.

I also learned that Rui wasn't just some regular Wood Elf, but the princess of the local tribe. Rui then invites me back to her people's "kingdom" so that I could be given a proper thank you. While the thought of me needing to go catch up with the others did cross my mind, I decide to not worry about them and accept the offer.

{So, what happened after that, you may be wondering? Well, Kazuma ended up being given many honors by Rui's father and was even told he could become her consort, once she came of age of course, if he so chose. As for the girls? After walking for a while, Megumin and Darkness found their guilt at leaving Kazuma behind reaching its breaking point and despite Aqua reassuring them that her suggestion was the correct action, it was ultimately decided they would go back to "save" Kazuma from himself. So, what choice did Kazuma make and how did the girls react to finding both Kazuma and the NOT Tranquility Girl missing, and did they ever actually find him? I'll leave that answer you all, dear readers... for now anyways.}

{Nice NEET's chpt 9: end...}

AN: So ends another chapter of Nice NEET's. With this chapter, I wanted to ask two questions relating to the Tranquility Girl encounter. One being how it COULD have ended if Kazuma had been forced to use the girl's personal quirks to get them away from the TG. Also, how they would most likely react if told certain things.

The other idea was to ask the question on how it all could have gone if Kazuma had been the one to show concern and not the girls. Of course, there are many ways that could play out. The one I did here was only one of many possibilities in this scenario and as for that ending, maybe I'll come back to that in a future chapter.

Now, for what's coming us. I think it's time for me to start doing some of the reader suggestions I've been given since this fic was started. Here is what has been currently suggested to me:

Nameless: What would happen if Serena had fully controlled Kazuma in vol 15 of the LN. None of that Kazuma's perverted nature being unleashed because of a bad choice in wording. What would he end up doing as her loyal thrall and how would the girls end up saving him.

Guest: What if Megumin's scream of "Death to Perverts" (from the Konosuba movie) actually happened. What if Kazuma, and maybe all other perverts in the world, just suddenly died somehow. What would be the response.

5queso: How would the girls deal with a dead or depressed Kazuma? (5queso, if you're still reading this fic, is there a specific point in the story you'd like me to cover with either as it will help me to better write the scenario as opposed to it potentially being at any point and time. After all, early on probably wouldn't offer as much of a reaction from them as it would later on in the sotry.)

Casual Reader: What if Kazuma and Aqua's roles were reversed; Kazuma was the god and Aqua the mortal who got the isekai treatment.

Guest: What if Kazuma wished to become the top god as his reward for defeating the Devil King.

AndyH: (suggested two ideas) How did Kazuma get out of having to marry Darkness after Darkness claimed to have Kazuma's child growing inside of her. (would include the reaction of Darkness's father learning the truth and how Megumin would respond before having everything explained to her).

Alternate ways Kazuma (and the girls) could have defeated the Devil King.

Currently, these are the suggestions I have been given so the next three chapters will be based around these offerings. I currently don't know which three will be done first but I figured I'd let you all know.

Also, I am planning on doing ALL of them, not just three. What I meant was that the next three chapters will focus on these exclusively (chapters 10-12). Once we reach chapter 13, I may continue to focus on these until I have them all done, or I might throw in another of my own ideas before going back to finish the rest of the suggestions.

In case you're wondering, the next of my peronal ideas I'll be doing here in the future will off a potential answer to a big question. That being: what was Megumin and Yunyun's plan to clear Kazuma's name back in vol 3 of the LN and what exactly did Megumin say to Yunyun that upset the girl? Given a certain scene from earlier in the volume, between Kazuma and Yunyun (one that wasn't in the anime), I have a feeling the reason Yunyun was upset was because she asked Megumin...
