The King of Omashu

Aang, Sokka, Jessie, Katara and Appa walking up to the hill that was fill with snow. The water tribe kids were looking at each other to figure out where Aang was taking them. Once Aang reach the top of the hill, he pointed at the large city a few miles away from where they are.

"The Earth Kingdom city of Omashu!" Aang said, excitedly.

The water tribe was in awe at the sight of the city because they have never seen the city before. Aang just smiled at them because he knew that he had blown their mind.

"I used to always come here to visit my friend, Bumi." Aang told them.

"Wow. We don't have cities like this in the South Pole." Katara stated.

Jessie just nodded her head to agree with Katara.

"They have buildings here that don't melt." Sokka said.

"Well, let's go slow pokes! The real fun is inside the city!" Aang stated.

Aang launches himself into the air and lands farther down the hill.

"Wait, Aang! It could be dangerous if people find out you're the Avatar." Katara warned him.

"You need a disguise." Sokka stated.

"And to be blunt, you are the King of drawing attention to us." Jessie said.

Aang was looking at them with a curious look on his face.

So, what am I supposed to do? Grow a mustache?" Aang asked.

Both Jessie and Katara looked at each other for a moment because they both have an idea for him. After a few minutes, Aang's head and face was cover with Appa's fur. He looked like an old airbender and then he started to scratching at the wig.

"Ohh, this is so itchy! How do you live in this stuff." Aang said to Appa.

Appa just grunts at him in response. Sokka was looking at him and smirk at the disguise. Jessie just smiled at both hers and Katara's handy work.

"Great! Now you look just like my granfather." Sokka approved.

"Technically, he is 112 years old." Katara pointed out.

"And we just made him look the part too." Jessie added.

Aang picked his staffed and spun it around to use as his walking cane. Then he hunched his back like an old man.

"Now let's get to skippin', young whippersnappers! The big city awaits." Aang said.

Both Katara and Jessie snickered at the old man voice that Aang had played. He begun to walk like an old man. They all started to make their way to the gate of the city of Omashu.

"You guys are gonna love Omashu. The people here are the friendliest in the world." Aang told them.

They walked to the Earth bender guards that was discussing with the merchant with a cabbage cart. Then the water tribe kids saw how friendly when the Earth bender had earthbended the poor man with cabbage cart over the ledge.

"Yeah, they sure look friendly." Sokka commented sarcasticlly.

They just watch as the poor man just cried in defeat because he just lose his cabbage.

"Just keep smiling." Aang told them.

They approached the guards. Jessie was looking at her cousins for a moment because she just realized that the plan was not going to work on these. As Aang approached the guards which the three water tribe just halted. Then one of the guard earth bended a rock and held it over Aang's head.

"State your business."

Aang rushed out from underneath the rock, getting up close to the guard's face.

"My business is my business, young man, and none of yours! I 've got half a mind to bend you over my knee and paddle your backside!" Aang threatened.

Jessie place her hand over her lips to contain a laugh because the old man voice was too funny for Aang to use.

"Settle down, old timer. Just tell me who are you."

"Name's Bonzu Pipinpadaloxicopolis, the Third, and these are my grandkids." Aang said.

"Hi, June Pipinpadaloxicopolis, and this is my little sister but she don't speak. Nice to meet you." Katara greeted.

The guards looked at both Katara and Jessie for a moment and he was convince.

"You two seem like responsible young ladies. See that your grandfather stay out of trouble. Enjoy Omashu!"

"We will." Katara said.

The guard motions them to pass. The four kids walk forward into the city with Sokka trailing.

"Wait a minute! You're a strong young boy. Show some respect for the elderly and carry your grandfather's bag."

Then Aang smiled for a moment and Jessie just shook her head at the idea of Sokka carrying Aang's bag was not going to end well.

"Good idea." Aang agreed.

He tossed his bag over Sokka's shoulder and into his hands.. Then three gates started to open up and they all started walking into the city. One of the guards was looking at Momo's ears appearing out of the fur as the doors close behind them. They all stared at the inside of Omashu with excited eyes, watching as carts made of stone shot past on stone chutes.

"This is Omashu delivery system. Miles and miles of chutes. Earthbending brings the packages up and gravity brings them down." Aang explained.

"Great, so they get their mail on time." Sokka said, no impressed.

"They do get their mail on time, but my friend Bumi found a better use for these chutes..." Aang said.

= Flashback =

There was a young boy with spiky orange hair which it was tied with a headband looks out over the city. He turned around to face Aang with a huge grin on his face and his name is Bumi.

"Look around you, what do you?" Bumi asked.

"Umm... the mail system?" Aang guessed.

"Instead of seeing what they want you to see, you gotta open your brain to the possibilities." Bumi told him.

"A package sending system?" Aang guessed.

"The world's greatest super slide!" Bumi told him.

Aang just smiled at the idea.

"Bumi, you're a mad genius!" Aang told him.

Bumi started laughing and snorts. The pair started to get into one of the carts and slide down the chutes.

= Flashback end =

They were in a cart at the top of the delivery system which Katara, Sokka, and Jessie was looking down because they were super high they were. Aang was looking at them with a grin on his face.

"One ride, then we're off to the North Pole. Airbender's honor." Aang said.

"This sounded like fun at first, but now that I'm here, I'm starting to have second thoughts!" Katara said.

The cart just slides down from the high point of the delivery system. They were picking up speed. Then they were looking over at the chute next to their was a rack of spears. One both chute started to merge, the rack of spears was right behind our heroes. Sokka started to duck down and Jessie leans into Katara which Katara lean into Aang.

"I'm on it! I'm on it!" Aang told them.

Aang starts to rocking the the bin back and forth in the chute. He soon derails them out of the chute and their bin freefalls onto a rooftop below. There was a Earth Kingdom soldiers being addressed by their Officer.

"Men, you'll be going off to combat soon. It's important that you be parepare for anything."

Then suddenly, the group drop to the sky shocked which Aang airbend to propel the bin back into the air and out of sight. They manage to get onto a chute and are rocketing down once again.

"Aang, do something! Use your airbending!" Katara said.

"Yeh! Good idea! That'll make us go even faster.!" Aang said.

He blasts air behind them, making them speed up.

"No, you idiot! She meant use your airbending to stop the bin!" Jessie yelled.

The city dwellers were looking at them as they whiz by down the chute. As they approach the drop down of the last major chute, they all scream as they see the off-load point in front of them. The off-load has a package on it that they were about to hit it, but a earthbender next to it moves the package out of the way. They all sigh with relief, but that change when another package had appeared and they all screamed again. They hit the side of the trench and run off the track again. They all fall out the bin and are falling, but Aang airbends them each back into the bin. They bounce off a roof and into a man's work room, destroying his pottery. They bounce of his floor and out the window.

"Sorry!" Aang called out.

They drop into someone's living room and fly through their house. Outside they crash through the wall of the balcony and drop again. They screamed as they fall from the sky. In the market, there was a man from earlier who fondly shaking one of his cabbages. He heard a sound and looked up which he jumps back as the bin and kids falling onto his cabbage cart.

"My cabbages! You're gonna pay for this!"

Then the four were quickly surrounded by soldiers. Aang raise up and smiled because he knew that they were in trouble.

"Uh two cabbages, please." Aang said.

They all were escorted to the palace to meet the king of the city. They all were brought to the throne room. There was an old man in and he was looking at the strange people that had walked into his home. He was looking at Aang because he could tell that he had met him somewhere.

"Your majesty, these juveniles were arrested for vandalism, traveling under false and malicious destruction of cabbages."

Then the old man with the cabbage wanted them all to executed for the destroying his cabbage cart.

"Silence! Only the King can pass down judgment. What is your judgment, sire?"

The old man looked at Sokka who was nervous, Katara who was hopeful, Jessie who had a sad puppy look, and Aang who was trying to act like he's invisible as he whistles to himself. Then the Earth King had made a decision for the four of them.

"Throw them... a feast." The king ordered.

Both the guard and the cabbage merchant were shocked to see that he was going to spare all of them. The guard knew that he cannot disobey a direct order from the King of Omashu. He bowed his head and escorted the merchant out of the castle and order the servants to prepare food for the King and his guest. The four kids just sit down at the table with the King of Omashu and they were surprise to see that all the servant had brought out a lot of food just the five of them.

"Heheh! The in my city have gotten fat from too many feasts, so I hope like your chicken with no skin." The King mentioned.

"Thanks, but I don't eat meat." Aang told him.

The king of Omashu looked over at Sokka.

"How about you? I bet you like meat." The King asked.

He shoved the drumstick into Sokka's mouth. Sokka chewed on it for a bit and enjoy the flavor. Both Katara and Jessie was looking at the King because they both could tell that he is a bit of a loony.

"Is it just me, or is this guy's crown a little crooked?" Katara whispered.

Then the King just sat back down on the opposite of the table and looked at Aang and his friends.

"So, tell me young bald one. Where are you from?" The King asked.

"I'm from... Kangaroo Island." Aang told him.

"Oh, kangaroo Island, eh? I hear that place is really hopping!" The King joked.

There was a total silence between the four kids, but Sokka broke the silence with a laugh because he just caught the joke. Aang, Katara, and Jessie just looked at him because they did not get the joke.

"What? It was pretty funny." Sokka said.

Jessie just shook her head at her cousin. Then the King just yawn for a moment which made Jessie curious.

"Well, all these good jokes are making me tired. Guess it's time to hit the hay." The king stated

He suddenly threw another drumstick at Aang which he airbends it to a standstill, but he was caught by surprised. The drumstick was spinning in the air in front of him. Then the guards draw a breath in surprise.

"There's an airbender in our presence and not just any airbender, the Avatar!" The king said.

He raise from his seat while Aang drops the drumstick trying to act like he did not just reveal himself. Jessie palmed her forehead because she knew that they were screwed.

"Now, what do you have to say for yourself, Mr. Pipinpadaloxicopolis?" The King asked.

Jessie was looking at him to see if he had any excuse to use to get them all out of here. Aang started to think for a moment and a idea just popped into his head. He raised out of his seat to addressed the King.

"Okay! You caught me. I'm the Avatar, doing my Avatar thing, keeping the world safe. Everything checks out, no firebenders here. So, good work everybody. Love each other, respect all life and don't run with your pears. We'll see you next time!" Aang said.

He grabbed his friends and back out of the chamber, but they were halted by the guards the stop them.

"You can't keep us here. Let us leave." Katara demanded.

The king picked up a lettuce leaf from his plate.

"Lettuce leaf?" The king asked.

He ate the leaf and Sokka looked at the king and started to realize that the King of Omashu was crazy.

"We're in serious trouble. This guy is nuts." Sokka stated.

"Wow, you think?" Jessie said, sarcastically.

After he finished the leaf and looked at the four kids in front of him.

"Tomorrow, the Avatar will face three deadly challenges. But for now, the guards will show you to your chamber."

The guards escorted the kids to their chambers to get some rest. Once they arrive to the chamber, an earthbender open the wall by earthbending. Then they were thrusted in the room and the door closed by earthbending. The chamber was beautiful, spacious, and furnished with four comfortable beds.

"This is a prison cell? But it's so nice." Katara said.

"Yeah, this is for anyone to be in. I would not mind to be thrown in here." Jessie stated.

She sat on one of the beds.

"Nice or not, we're still prisoners." Sokka said.

"I wonder what these challenges are gonna be." Aang wondered.

"We're not sticking around to find out. There's gotta be some way outta here." Katara said.

Aang smiled and pointed at the something.

"The air vents!" Aang said.

Sokka looked at a small hole in the wall because he knew that all of them was going to fit in it.

"If you think we're gonna fit through there then you're crazier than that king." Sokka stated.

"We can't, but Momo can." Aang told him.

He pointed at the lemur who was licking an apple. Aang started to push the lemur into the small hole, but he was having no luck.

"Momo, I need you to find appa and bust us outta here." Aang said.

He continued to pushing the creature into the small hole until Momo was stuck.

"Eh, how was Appa supposed to save us anyway?" Sokka asked.

Momo was trying to free himself but falls.

"Appa is a ten ton flying bison, I think he could figure something out." Aang told him.

Jessie was in bed asleep and Katara was looking at Aang for a moment.

"Well, no point in arguing about it now. Get some rest, Aang. Looks like you'l need it for tomorrow." Katara said.

Aang went to bed to get some sleep because he knew that this was going to be hard for him to figure out the challenges. It was morning, the wall started to open up which woke Aang out his sleep. He was rubbing his eyes for a moment and saw that his friends were not in bed.

"Sokka! Katara! Jessie! Where are my friends?" Aang asked.

He turned his head to the guard.

"The king will free them if you complete your challenges."

"And if I fail?" Aang asked.

"He didn't say. Your staff please?"

Aang give the staff to the guard. He was escorted to the throne room where the King was standing in front of Aang to present his horrible robes. It was blue purplish with light green.

"First, Avatar, what do you think of new outfit? I want your honest opinion."

Aang had no reaction.

"I... guess it's fine." Aang told him.

"Excellent! You passed the first test."

"Really?" Aang asked.

"Well, not one of the deadly tests. The real challenges are much more... challenging."

Aang was getting angry. He airbends his feet to run in an instant up to the King. He knew that he didn't have time to waste when his friends' lives are on the line.

"I don't have time for your crazy games! Gimme my friends back! We're leaving!" Aang demanded.

"Ohh, I thought you might refuse..."

The door opened up to reveal the guards holding Katara, Jessie, and Sokka in the corridor beyond. The guards place small rings on one of their fingers. Katara had green, Sokka had purple, and Jessie had blue. Once the rings made contact to them, the ring started to tighten around their fingers. Sokka, Jessie, and Katara were struggling to take them off.

"So, I will give your friends some special souvenirs. Those delightful rings are made of pure Jennamite, also known as creeping crystal. It's crystal that grows remarkably fast. By nightfall your friends will be completely covered in it. Terrible fate, really. I can stop it, but only if you cooperate."

Some of the rings was starting to creep on them.

"Ah.! It's already creeping!" Sokka said.

Aang looked at the King and bow to him in shame.

"I will do as you want." Aang said.

The king had an evil grin on his face. Then he lead Aang down to a chamber which it was a cavern with a waterfall in it. Aang was standing on a platform and looked up to the King and his friends.

"It seems I've lost my lunch box key and I'm hungry." The King stated.

Aang was looking around to find the key to this so call lunchbox key. Then the King was looking at the key that was inside of the waterfall itself.

"Ooh, there it is. Would you mind fetching it for me?" The King pointed

Aang jumps into action, Using his airbending skills he bounces from pillar to pillar to get close to the waterfalls. He jumped at the waterfalls and used a little bit of airbending to level himself while he walked up to the pillar. He saw a ladder and he grabbed hold of the ladder. The pressure of the waterfall was too strong for him which he was holding on for dear life. The earth king was looking at him and smiled.

"Ooh a ladder. No one ever would've thought of that." The king said sarcastically.

Jessie, Sokka, and Katara was looking at him while the Jennamite was covering their entire right hand. The pressure of the waterfalls was too strong for Aang and he let go of the ladder which flew out of the waterfall. He fell. but he caught his fall by bracing two pillars with both his hands and feet. He manage to slow down and looked down to see that he was almost poke in the butt. He sigh with relief that he had manage to stop. Jessie, Katara, and Sokka gave him encouraging smiles while the Jennamite continue to creep.

Then Aang took a deep breath and he moved upwards towards the stalagmites at the top of the cavern. He brace himself with his hands and feet on the stalagmites. He looked down at the in the middle of the waterfall. He was taking his time and jumped from the two stalagmites. He dove towards the waterfall, using airbending to spin and prople himself rapidly into the waterfall.

Then suddenly, the force of the water was falling too fast which send him off course and send him out of the water fall. He hit a stalactite which he quickly clung to so that didn't fall to his death. He looked up at the King because he could hear him laughing at him.

"That's right, keep diving head first. I'm sure it will work eventually." The King drawled.

Aang was clinched onto the stalactite for a moment and a idea hit had popped into his head. The young monk broke off the sharp tip of the stalactite that was clinging onto. He was standing on flat spot of the stalactite. Then he threw it at the key which he use airbending to slice through the waterfall. The stalactite pierced the middle of the chain holding the key before embedding itself in the arch above the entrance into the cavern where the key was dangling above the King's head.

"There! Enjoy your lunch. I want my friends back now!" Aang demanded.

"Oh, not yet. I need help with another matter. It seems I've lost my pet Flopsy." The king said.

It took a while for them to arrive to a different chamber that was filled with nothings but rocks. Jessie was looking around because she could tell that this could be a place to lose a pet. Aang jumped down into the area of because he spotted a little white rabbit and it was sitting on a rock.

'Okay. I found him." Aang called out.

Bring him to me. Daddy want a kiss from Flopsy." Thge demands.

"Come here flopsy." Aang said.

He tipped toe towards the rabbit with his arms stretched out but he freeze from the loud thump. Aang turned around slowly with a nervous chuckle and grin. He looks up at the massive goatrilla standing behind him. The rabbit ran away from dear and Aang started to chase after it while the goatrilla was right behind him. He ran pass several boulders while the goatrilla was crushed several from every step that it took.

"Flopsy. Come back!" Aang called out.

The Airbender dives forwards in attempt to to grab the rabbit but the rabbit ducked into a hole. Aang hit the wall face first and reach in the hole trying to find the poor rabbit. Then something had popped in his head which made him realize.

"Wait a minute..." Aang mumbled.

He got up and turned to looked at the goatrilla who was slobbering because it was almost in close view.

"Flopsy?" Aang asked.

The goatrilla stopped in his tacks and he looked down at Aang who was standing in front of him. He was wagging his tail with excitement. The beast took a step forwards and scooped aang up in a tender embrace and licks him.

"Flopsy! Aang laughed.

He rubbed the goatrilla's head which the King whistling call his pet over to him. Flopsy dropped aang and ran towards his master. Flopsy flopped onto his back with both his front and hind legs was upwards position.

"Oh that's a good boy. Yes, who has a soft belly?" The King cooed.

Aang jumps tonto the railing around the pit where Katara, Sokka, and Jessie were standing. The crystals was now covering the three of them from their neck to their ankle.

"Guys are you okay?" Aang asked.

"Other than the crystal slowly encasing my entire boy." Doing great." Katara snark.

"Well, Katara and I are holding just fine unlike Sokka." Jessie added.

Aang, Katara, and Jessie looked at Sokka to see that one of side of the crystal encasing Sokka grew, causing him to tip over from the uneven weight. Aang jumped down to where the king was petting his flopsy. Then Aang place his hands on his hips.

"Come on, I'm ready for the next challenge." Aang stated.

A grin spreads across the king's face as he looked at the young Airbender mischievously. He was taken to the last chamber that was filled with more rocks and then the last chamber.

"Your finally test is a duel. And as a special treat, you may choose your opponent." The king stated

Then two scary looking men armed with sharp weapons and armor which they've enter the room and stood opposite side of the king. They both were smiling while they looked at Aang.

"Point and choose." The king said.

"So, you're saying whoever i point to, that's the person i get to fight?" Aang asked.

"Choose wisely." The King told him.

Aang put a lot of thought into his choice and looked at the two warriors before him because he knew that this was going to be hard for him to defeat each of them. He looked at the King for a moment and thought about him being old which it should be easy for him to defeat.

"I...choose...you..." Aang said.

He pointed at the King which cause the king to chuckled to himself.

"Wrong choice." The King told him.

Aang, Jessie, Katara, and Sokka all watch in horror as the king cracks his fingers then straighten his back which it crack. Then his robes fell to reveal a muscular body. Aang recoils and his eyes widen slightly in fear as he realizes his mistake. Sokka, Katara, and Jessie just stared with their eyes widen.

The King suddenly slams his foot down on the stone balcony that he and Aang were standing on which causing it to crack to appear. It triggered a small geyser of dirt, launching aang into the arena below the balcony. Aang scream as he flew through the air which hitting the ground then flipped over and skidded.

The King just laugh harshly and jumped from the balcony and lands in front of Aang. His landing create a small crater around his feet while Aang looks up at him with a scared gasp. The king was looking at Aang with a evil grin.

"You thought I was frail old man. But I'm the most powerful earth bender you'll ever see!" The King mocked.

Aang got up and dusted himself off.

"Can I fight the guy with the ax instead?" Aang asked.

"There are no take backsies in my kingdom." The King said.

He snapped his finger, then points to the guard standing by Sokka, Katara, and Jessie.

"You might need this!" The King told him.

Aang caught his staff that the guard threw down to him and started to dodge a lot of boulders that the king begin tossing at him.

"Typically Airbender tactic. Avoid and evade. I'd hoped the Avatar would be less predictable!" The King taunted.

He stomped his foot and a large boulder popped out of the ground and launched it at Aang. The young Airbender jumps in the air with a small yelp spinning his staff above his head rapidly.

"Don't you have any surprises for? Sooner or later, you'll have to strike back!" The King demands.

The King kick up another boulder then jumped up and kicked both his feet towards it, sending it up at the ceiling which caused it to break and small rocks to fall on Aang, knocking him out of the air. Aang fell to the ground, a small crater forming around his body as his staff fell a few feet away. Katara, Sokka, and Jessie was watching helplessly because Aang was having trouble.

Aang took a deep breath as he jumps to his feet and race towards the King. He dodge the sharp rocks that started to jut out of the arena's floor from the King's earthbending. The king causes a large rock to jut out of the ground and hits aang in the stomach sending him into the air.

"Aw, you'll have to be a little more creative than that." The King taunt.

Aang jumps from the rock and created an air scooter. He landed on his air scooter. He charged at the king which he was dodging more rocks that was coming his way. He direct the scooter toward and continue towards the king. Once he was close, he did an air slice, but the King blocked it when he earth bend a small wall. Then he pork his head out from the side of the wall.

"Did someone leave the windows open? It feels a little drafty in here. Are you hoping I'll catch a cold?" The King asked.

The King kicked the little earth wall down and used it as a surf board while earth bend a rumble wave underneath it. He was sending it towards Aang. The young airbender was trying to avoid the wave but it knocked him a distance further away from the king. He landed a few times before he skidded to the ground. The King slammed his fist in to the ground and sent a stream of earth at Aang, but Aang flips backwards and kicked off the wall which he grabbed his staff.

"How are you going to get me from way over there?" The King asked, curiously.

Aang begins to charge at the king while holding his staff, but the king earthbends the ground into sand. Then Aang was caught into the sand and started to sink to his waist. The King brought two larger boulders around the arena towards Aang. Suddenly, Aang used his Airbending to spin out of the sand before the boulders collide and swung his staff down to knocked the king into the wall underneath the balcony.

Suddenly, the king jerks the large rock from behind Aang, but Aang leaped backwards to avoid being hit. The King gasped and crush it into dirt before it hit him. The King let out a grunt because he was trying his hardest to earthbend the balcony behind him and move it above his head. Aang started to scream and ran as fast as he could in a circle. He use Airbending to increase his speed and until he creates a tornado. The King launches the massive earth at Aang, but the tornado redirects it back at him. He gasped and slammed his hands together to cut the earth in half. Aang leaps out from the dust and pointed his staff at the Kings's throat.

Aang looks at him with a smirk but the king grins back at him and looked up. Then a pebble drop onto Aang's head and the young airbender look up to see another massive boulder hovering over both him and the king.

"Well done, Avatar. You fight with much fire in your heart." The King told him.

The king turns and tossed the rock away then falls backward through hte earth, only to reappear on the balcony where Jessie, Katara and Sokka was standing. Then Aang used his staff to get to the balcony and landed in front of the king.

"You've passed all my tests. Now you must answer one question." The king told him.

"That's not fair! You said you would release my friends if I finished your tests!" Aang protested.

He glared at the king.

"Aw, but what's the point of tests if you don't learn anything." The King drawled.

"Oh, come on!" Sokka groaned

"You cannot be serious?" Jessie added.

The king ignore them and looked at Aang.

"Answer this one question and I will set your friends free. What... is my name?" The King said.

Aang recoiled and bit his lip. Then the king turned his attention over to the three water tribe kids to see that they were getting close to becoming encase in Jennamite.

"From the looks of your friends, you only have a few minutes." The King mentioned.

Aang turned to his friends because he was stuck with the question.

"How am I supposed to know his name?" Aang asked.

"Think about the challenges. Maybe it's some kind of riddle." Katara suggested.

"Or maybe it's a trick question." Jessie stated.

"I got it!" Sokka exclaimed.

"Yeah?" Aang asked.

"he's an Earthbender right? Rocky! You know because of all the rocks!" Sokka explained.

Jessie just sighed,

"If I have my arms free, I would water slap you in the mouth." Jessie mentioned.

"We're gonna keep trying, but that is good backup." Katara stated.

"Okay, so back to the challenges. I got a key from the waterfall, I save his pet, and I had a duel." Aang said.

"And what did you learn?" Katara asked.

"Well... everything was different than I expected."

"And?" Katara encouraged him.

Then part of the cvrystal grew and began to cover her face. Jessie could feel some of her crystal forming over her head.

"Well, they weren't straightforward. To solve each test, i had to think different then I usually would.' Aang said.

Then something hit him. He snapped his fingers.

"I know his name." Aang said.

=== Later ===

Aang and the other had arrive into the throne where the King was waiting for them. He was looking at Aang in front of him because he saw that Aang was smiling.

"I solved the question the same way I solved the challenges. As you said a long time ago, I had to open my brain to the possibilities." Aang mentioned.

The King started laughing, snorting, and hiccuping.

"Bumi, you're a mad genius." Aang stated.

Aang rushed forward and hugged his old childhood friend. Then Bumi hugged him back he knew that a weight in his heart had finally been lifted.

"Oh, Aang. It's good to see you. You haven't changed a bit. Literally." Bumi said.

Katara looked at the good reunion moment but she knew that Bumi had forgotten about them.

"Uh over here!" Katara called out.

"Little help!" Sokka added.

"Pretty please." Jessied finished.

Bumi jerked his hand which the crystals shattered into tiny pieces. He managed to catch one in his hand.

"Jennamite is made of rock candy." Bumi mentioned.

He took a bite out of the piece of crystal in his hand.

"Delicious!" Bumi stated.

The water tribe kids were dusting themselves off from behind trapped in the Jennamite for a while. They walked up to both Aang and Bumi.

"So this crazy king. Is your old friend Bumi.?" Katara asked.

"Who are you calling old?" Bumi asked.

Jessie raise an eyebrow at him because she knew that he can't lie about his age which cause him to sigh.

"Okay, I'm old." Bumi said.

"Why did you all this instead of just telling aang who you were?" Sokka asked.

"Yeah." Jessie agreed.

"first of all, it's pretty fun messing with people. But I do have a reason." Bumi said.

Bumi turned to aang and looked with a serious.

"Aang, you have a difficult task ahead. The world has changed in the hundred years you have been gone. it's the duty of the Avatar is to restore balance to the world by defeating Fire lord Ozar. You have much to learn, you must master the four elements and confront the Fire Lord and when you do, I hope you will think like a mad genius." Bumi told him.

Aang smiled at Bumi while Jessie, Katara, and Sokka walked up to stand next to him.

"And it looks like you're in good hands . You'll need your friends to help you defeat the Fire Nation." Bumi said.

He saw Momo leeps into Aang's shoulder.

"And you'll need momo too." Bumi added.

"Thank you for your wisdom. But before we leave, I have a challenge for you." Aang said.
