"Cruse me kilts!" Scrooge yelled. "First Donald missing and now my grandnephews and my daughter Webby. What's going on in this world?"

Ever since the rest of the McDuck Manor residents found out that Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby had gone missing, they had been panicking. They searched the whole manor from top to bottom and they didn't find them at all. They didn't even find a single clue. Then Scrooge called his ghost butler Duckworth from the spirit realm.

"Have you seen my grandnephews or Webby last night?" Scrooge asked after he arrived.

"Yes, sir," Duckworth replied. "I was summoned by them last night. They were trying to find something that they heard last night and asked me if I heard or seen anything."

"And did you?"

"No, sir. Then they heard the noise coming from the chimney and they went to investigate it. That was when I left them and went back to the spirit realm. I can't tell you anymore than that, I'm afraid, sir."

"Okay, Duckworth, that'll be all."

"Very good, sir." Then Duckworth vanished back from the spirit realm.

"Uncle Scrooge!" Della cried, as she ran to him. "We can't find Cy-Rat either."

Scrooge gasped. "That's it! They might have gone after that Cy-Rat!"

"Or maybe she must have kidnapped them!" May cried. "I mean, none of this happened since she arrived in Duckberg."

"But why would she do that? June asked.

"I'm sure that if we find her, we find the missing kids," Scrooge said. "Come on, everyone. Let's go."

Scrooge split the group into two teams. Launchpad and Beakley joined Scrooge to search in his Money Bin while Della, May and June were the team that would search Duckberg. The Duckberg-searching team were accompanied by Daisy Duck and Webby's best friends Lena and Violet Sabrewing. Scrooge also alerted Gyro Gearloose and his interns Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera and Gandra Dee in case the missing ducks were in the undersea lab or found evidence that they were.

No matter how hard each team worked to search the Money Bin or all the streets of Duckberg, they didn't find the missing ducks or any clues to where they could have been. They weren't even at Funzo's Fun Zone and not even Lena's magic or Violet's intelligence could find the missing ducks or more clues than any of the rest.

"But at least I haven't lost a penny in that bin," Scrooge said as everyone met back up in the Money Bin. The only ones who weren't there were Gyro, Fenton and Gandra who were still working in the lab.

"Forget your money!" Della snapped. "My brother and now my boys are missing!"

"Everyone, let's just take a deep breath and calm down," Beakley said.

So they all did.

"When I find that cybered rodent," Beakley said, "I'm going to –"

"Don't forget that she saved Donald's life and mine from that sea monster Daniel Beakship and his sea monster pirate navy," Daisy said.

"Unless she wasn't doing this for us and she was doing it for something else," Scrooge said.

"She could even be a spy, working for those pirate monsters," Beakley said.

"Hey, I have an idea," Launchpad said. "My pals Darkwing Duck and Gosalyn Mallard from St. Canard could help us. They both owe me a favor. In fact, they owe me quite a few favors and maybe even –"

Then Scrooge's phone rang. It was Gyro. "What is it, Gyro?" After he listened for a few seconds, he dropped the phone. "Gyro knows where both Cy-Rat and the missing kids were last seen."

Everyone gasped when they watched the security camera footage as soon as they all went into Gyro's lab. It showed them both Cy-Rat and the four missing ducks on a giant golden circle in the very bottom floor of the undersea lab, which only Gyro, B.O.Y.D. and Lil Bulb knew existed. Not even the interns Fenton and Gandra or even Scrooge, who Gyro worked for, knew about it at all. Then everyone saw the golden circle light up in flashing white. Then when the light went away, so did Cy-Rat and the missing ducks. The circle looked destroyed as it was in pieces and completely burnt with only smoke.

"What was that invention, Gyro?" Scrooge demanded.

"It's a giant time travel machine," Gyro said.

"You still doing time machines?" Della asked. "After all the trouble it caused?"

"Never mind that," Daisy said. "Have you or your team tested this machine yourself?"

"No," Gyro said. "It wasn't even ready for a test run the last time I checked it. Maybe that rat robot did something to it that I couldn't do to it. But even the control pad wasn't working, so I can't find out where they've gone to or when they've gone to. I don't even know if I can fix this machine."

"If you built this machine, Dr. Gearloose, couldn't you build another one from scratch?" Violet asked.

"Or something else like it?" June asked.

"No, I can't because I didn't build it myself," Gyro said sadly. "I can't even rebuild the time tub."

Ever since one is the missing ducks Louie used the time tub to steal lost treasure from the past but almost destroyed space and time with it, Scrooge ordered Gyro to destroy it and to do no more business with time travel ever.

"Lena, is time travel one of your magic powers?" May asked.

"No," Lena said. "I can't even magically sense which time period our friends and this cyborg rat has gone to."

"So there's nothing we can do?" Launchpad asked.

"The only thing I can suggest is that we do history research," she said. "Read every history book we can, look up on the internet, try to find any ancient relics for clues. Beyond that, I can't suggest anything else that's in our power or our control."

No one could think of any more ideas.

"All right, then," Scrooge said. "Let's not waste time! The sooner we research, the sooner we solve this mystery and rescue the missing kids! Now, let's move!"

Then they all ran out of the room quickly so they could start their research as quickly as they could.
