He didn't know how he solved his cases. He knew his supposed deductions came with a prick to the back of the neck and a feeling of extreme drowsiness. This usually happened after the freeloading brat tried to show him something. He was feeling insulted that the police found his prior deductions to his sleeping ones idiotic. He knew someone else was behind this; making him solve cases. They probably used a sleeping dart and faked his voice. He could never figure out who it was, not matter how much he tried. In the meantime, he could only sit back and let the culprit do his or her deduction work until they slipped up and exposed themselves.
