Boy, it's been years since I left the story untouched due to my past projects, but I had decided to create the new chapter for Spyro and Crash's adventure. So enjoy.

Chapter 5

The Dragon Elders

Spyro and his gang traveled down the forest for a while.

"I'm having a thought here," Spyro said. "How is it you and this Uka-Uka had been brothers, just in the opposite way?"

"I wish I knew, Spyro," said Aku-Aku. "I never knew Uka-Uka would be evil until it all just happened, with him causing chaos and all sorts of things. Ever since he escaped from his prison, it just wasn't the same."

"Meanwhile, we gotta get some help," said Cynder. "Spyro, do you know how we can get some wisdom that can help us?"

"I know a certain group of dragons that can help us," Spyro said. "Perhaps the Dragon Elders can help us."

"Hey, now there's a good brain in there," Sparx said.

"Just a quick thought."

"Dragon Elders?" Crash asked.

"Oh, you're gonna like them," Hunter said. "They're totally cool dragons."

"Perhaps these Dragon Elders can help us information about what Uka-Uka has been up to," said Aku-Aku.

"They might," Spyro said. "They're cool guys, as long as I can remember them."

The group continued down the forest until they arrived at a small temple.

"I take that this is where we find your elders?" Crash asked.

"Yeah, that's the place," Spyro asked. "They all moved in after I defeated Red years ago."

The gang went into the temple. They went across the hallway and approached the doors. Spyro pushed the doors opened, and they saw the Dragon Elders.

"Ah, young Spyro," Elder Tomas said with a smile. "So nice of you to meet us."

"Oh, Spyro, we were worried after we heard about your capture," said Elder Astor, "but it feels good to know you've escaped."

"With a little help from his girlfriend," Sparx said.

"Sparx, don't," frowned Cynder.

"I tried to fight back, but I ended up defeated despite my best efforts," said Spyro.

"We know, Spyro," said Elder Magnus. "It was quite a shock how you were defeated by those three villains."

"But look on the bright side," Elder Titan said. "You got company to help you out."

"Do you think you can help us? I cannot beat them by myself," Spyro said. "All the dodging and the abilities they used... How could I have let my guard down?"

"We are Elders, Spyro," Elder Tomas said. "We cannot aide you on your journey. But we can give you tips that will help you."

"Um... tips?" Crash asked.

"Ideas on how to counter," Elder Magnus said.

"But what can we do?" Spyro asked.

"Here's the story, Spyro," said Elder Tomas. "They were trained after they were returned. They can sense your moves and concentrate for their powers to have supreme over yours."

"Trained? But how can that be?" Cynder asked.

"My guess would be that Uka Uka had advised them to recall Spyro's efforts before their return," said Aku Aku. "If that's the case, then we have to find someway to counter their reflexes."

"Counter their reflexes? But how will we do that?" Spyro asked.

"I don't know. But somehow, I know it's possible. But knowing Uka Uka, he has his ways of countering every counteraction. If it can happen the same thing to Spyro's enemies, results would be another humiliating defeat to Spyro."

This made Spyro frown, thinking about that defeat he had suffered. "I don't believe this," he said, his paw over his eyes. "No wonder I failed to beat them myself. I'm so stupid."

"Hey, don't go down the hole, Spyro," said Sparx. "It could be worse, you know."

"Oh, thanks for trying to cheer me up."

"What's the other tip?" Crash asked.

"Working together," said Elder Magnus. "It is the key that will help you save our world from evil."

"And the most important tip of all is this: teamwork," said Elder Tomas. "As long as you all work together, you are sure to win the fight."

"Teamwork?" Spyro asked. "But I never had friends helping me out. I beat Gnasty Gnorc myself, even every other villain I've encountered!"

"Yes, but now it is different, Spyro. As long as you got friends on your side, you will do your best."

"And we can cover you when the time gets tough," Cynder said.

"You won't have to do it alone, Spyro," said Hunter. "With us on your side, we'll do all we can to save the world. What do you say we do this?"

He held his hand out, and Cynder put her paw on it, and Crash put his on it. Spyro looked at them and their smiles. He then smiled and put his paw on Crash's. "You guys are right," he said. "As long as we're together, we'll stand and fight!"

"That's the spirit, Spyro!" Cynder said. "We knew you'd see the fact!"

"Thanks, you guys. I don't know where I'd be."

"What are friends for?" Hunter asked. "Ready, Crash?"

"I was born ready," Crash said.

"We can only off our thanks to you all for the advice, Dragon Elders," said Aku-Aku. "The road to victory may be filled with dangers, which we may have to face. But knowing us, we may stay strong and fight to the end. And now, everyone, it is time to continue our journey!"

The group left as the Dragon Elders watched.

Elder Tomas made a smile. "I know you will save us all, Spyro," he said. "Your friends will help you on your journey, and you're strong together with them. With their support, you are sure to save the world from evil. Good luck."
