I'm back! Talk about a writer's block it's been like two years, I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!
Warning: Some language!
The restaurant was small but lavish, grand golden chandeliers hung from the ornate ceilings dimly lighting the area where they would be having dinner. However Tenten was not in the mood to wine and dine; her escort was hardly a gentleman, her dress hardly a dress. Her skin was blotched with purple and yellow bruises, which is why her shoulders were covered with a cashmere shawl, heavy black diamond earrings hung from her ears, and a black diamond choker was around her neck. She felt awkward, and weighed down, her arm was pinched tightly between Akio's ribs and his elbow. A small clutch purse in the other hand, which seemed harmless enough but if she took her hand off of it the explosive tag inside would be set off taking her whole right side with it. She swept a sideways glare at the man dragging her to the table. He knew just how to get her into a corner, by making her carry the bomb clutch she was only left to one hand which usually was not a problem for Tenten who could do more damage with one hand than someone with two. But she was up against someone who had the edge on her, who was scarily smart, who was a devil in human clothes. He pulled the chair out for her and she slowly sat, forcefully wrenching her hand from its prison in between his ribs and arm.
Akio grabbed her shoulder, supposedly rubbing it gently in a gesture of affection, but Tenten could feel the tense muscles in his hand itching to knock the shit out of her. She looked up at him with pure hatred in her eyes, never breaking eye contact. He looked down at her with an amused smirk on his face, and bent down to give her a peck on the lips, Tenten turned her head so his lips landed on her cheek instead. The smoothness of his lips stayed there for a split second before he exhaled through his nose and she felt his lips twitch into a smirk. To any other patron in the restaurant, it looked as if the handsome man was whispering sweet nothings into his girlfriend's ear as she closed her eyes bashfully, to Tenten it was much more sinister. "Keep going on like this precious and I'll take you home right now and make a woman out of you." Tenten closed her eyes in revulsion, moving her clutch into her lap she reached for the glass of water in front of her instead.
When Akio went to the other side of the table to sit Tenten quickly searched her surroundings to see if there was any way of escape. There seemed to be only one exit, and apparently a really well hidden kitchen access as she had a hard time finding it. The waiter came over and took their orders, and for a moment Tenten was desperate for another person's attention. She tried to make eye contact with the waiter and somehow signal to him that she was kidnapped, that she was hurt, that she needed help, but the waiter never once looked at her. Even going so far as to even let Akio make Tenten's order for her. Before she could clear her throat and reach for his arm he was gone and she was once again alone with the monster before her.
She took another sip of water, clearing the dryness of her throat.
"No one here is going to save you little girl." His silky tone made her eyes snap to his face, searching it for what exactly he could mean. He looked at her smugly before continuing. "You think the clutch is the only thing keeping you here? You think I'm that stupid? This whole restaurant is owned by me, for patrons like me. No one here, is going to help you get away." His eyes were sparkling with some sort of sick pleasure that he had the upper hand yet again. It was a game to him, this giving hope and taking it away repeatedly until the woman's soul broke. Tenten's eyes hardened and angry tears started up at the corners of her eyes, she didn't know how many women had been held hostage in this restaurant before, but she vowed that she would be the last.
She would watch this place go up in flames before she was done.
Neji POV
"Akio Sato...I've heard that name before" murmered Gai as, Lee, Neji and him sat around a map in the Hokage's mansion deciding on the best plan of action.
"You have?" Lee said hopefully, he had not spoken or payed attention to Neji once this morning. The Hyuuga did not blame the green ninja as he had really understood the way he went about Tenten's rescue was wrong.
"I can't remember where though..." Gai said his hand on his chin, trying to stir memories. Lee and Neji didn't stir at first, waiting to see if he could dredge it from the depths of his mind.
"The prostitute said he was a regular at the establishment until a few weeks ago. Tall, tan, picture perfect handsome were her words." Neji said in disgust.
"Picture perfect handsome?" Gai perked up, seeming to somehow remember what this man looked like. He thought for a moment more before his eyes hardened and he abruptly stood "No...not him."
"What is it Gai-sensei? Is it bad?" Lee said worriedly, Gai did not answer he just turned and hightailed it to the file room. Neji and Lee followed close behind as they entered the giant room filled to the brim with files. They walked passed the Konoha files, they passed the Suna files, and were now heading into the higher ranking ninjas, and stopped in front of a small file cabinet that was rather dusty. Gai stood there for a bit before ripping open the drawer labeled Q-T, he flipped through the files quickly before stopping in the "S"s he suddenly stopped his hand gripping a file.
"We need to hurry." Gai turned and held a red folder in his hand, it was crinkling under the amount of pressure he was squeezing it with. "I have some briefing for the two of you before we go against our opponent, but time is of the essence so we need to head out within the next hour if possible" Neji and Lee looked at each for the first time that day, both equally confused and worried.
"How do we even know where to go?" Neji said warily.
"I'll explain on the way. Go get your packs. Now." The two nin did not need to be told twice, they bolted out of the hokage mansion as Gai looked into the file labeled 'Sato, Akio' with a look of anguish. Closing his eyes and rubbing his face he whispered into his palm. "Hold on Tenten. Don't give in."
They left the gates not thirty minutes later.
