Long time no see?~~!

The bell just rang and the teacher had took his leave a few seconds ago. All of his classmates roared into cheers as it was now time for lunch and they rushed out of class to have lunch either at the cafeteria or at the surrounding vast school ground of Rakuzan High with another friends from other classes. Kuroko took out three lunchboxes and stack them to make it easier to carry. Three of his new friends and classmates walk up to him.

"That's a lot. Who's it for?" Shiki asked, interested.

Kuroko looked at him blankly. "Mayuzumi-senpai."

"Mayuzumi-senpai? Only you two? Man, you sure spend a lot of time alone with him now, huh. Not only during practice time any longer." Sakaki quirked his eyebrows.

"Have a good lunch date, Kuroko-kun." Natsui smiled kindly.

At the mention of the word date Kuroko had a weird sense to blush but somehow he manage to control his expression and kept it deadpanned. "I'm just having a lunch with him. Like how you are just about to invite me to joing you guys for lunch." Kuroko stood on his feet and tightened the wrapping around the lunchboxes. "By the way, do you which class is Mayuzumi-senpai?"

"Class 3-1." Natsui answered and Kuroko disappeared.

He was just so quick on his feet to go to the seniors wing and finding Mayuzumi's class which surprisingly had not yet ended. Oh right, he forgot. The seniors went to recess 10 minutes later than them but ended at the same time, luckily their recess time is for an hour so the seniors got 50 minutes to cool their heads off from classes and pressures of examination. Kuroko peered at the small pane glass on the sliding door and saw Mayuzumi giving complete attention to his teacher's teaching.

A second later though his eyes and Mayuzumi-senpai's eyes locked. The older phantom was surprised by a shadow's presence outside his class but he gave the younger phantom a small smile filled with sincerity. Then he turned back his eyes to the board and the teaching teacher in front though now with half of his attention stolen by a certain bluenette.

That smile planted a seed in Kuroko's heart, right next to a pretty fresh flower, although so it was slowly wilting, next to a newly planted seed.

When the seniors had finished the class and the teachers dismissed, Kuroko entered albeit a little bit hesitantly, everyone quirked their brows at the presence of a first year at their wing, the girls of 3-1 are whispering and squealing slightly. What a cute little kid, he looks so cool with the blank face oh I wish I had a boyfriend like him. His hair shades matched his eyes, I want to hug him! Kyaa, I want him to be my little brother. Then you'll have a brother complex then. True. And other yadda yadda from the girls group. The guys was more quiet than the opposite genders but they were curious as to why and who the endearing little uke wanted to meet in this classroom. Boys being boys, their minds started think all of the ecchi things they wanted to do to the first-year if they just have the boy writing beneath them.

Kuroko felt like he was surrounded and watched by a group of hyenas in a small caged room. He shuddered inwardly.

"Hey," Mayuzumi acknowledged him. "You could have waited for me in your class you know."

"I know."

Mayuzumi stared blankly at Kuroko.

"I wanted to see Mayuzumi-senpai a.s.a.p." Kuroko answered a silent question. Unwittingly pouted without realizing it.

The shadow is just to adorable that Mayuzumi had to resist the urge to smile in front of so many people. He put away his book and stood on his feet before giving a short peck on Kuroko's pale cheeks, arms already hanging comfortable around Kuroko's shoulders. The public display of affection shocked the teal-haired teen and he have half the mind to glare (weakly) at the other but in the end his body reacted quicker than his mind and a pink hue emerge on his cheeks.

Mayuzumi chuckled. It's not like he likes to publicly show his affection but it was done on purpose because he was certainly boiling over the heated stares his classmates are giving to what he deemed as someone that could only belong to him. Although the little shadow is completely head over heels for Akashi Seijuurou he had a feeling that he had gained a small little rom in Kuroko's heart and that is already something.

To the most peaceful grounds in Rakuzan High, that is the destination and Kuroko just let Mayuzumi guide them since he still haven't really studied the entire school grounds since even the building only was already something. For the moment the best thing he likes is the library because insanely the school had turned one whole building that could have seated any year students' classes, just as big as any other building used to for juniors, freshman and seniors building/wings, into a single library.

They finally arrived at a spot of…luscious green. The grass was the perfect shade of green and a single tree, a large shady ones made the surroundings felt cool and it seems to be like a soft light breeze is always passing through here. A small yellow flowers were decorated and scattered amongst the grass.

"My place for peace in this metropolitan area." Mayuzumi said to Kuroko.

Kuroko nodded and chose a spot under the shady tree and Mayuzumi sat next to Kuroko making the bluenette to scoot a little to the side. Unwrapping the lunchboxes and opening the covers, the sweet delectable smell wafted through their nose and it was making Mayuzumi's mouth watery because indeed even from just the look of it was mouth-watering.

"You made this yourself?" Mayuzumi was impressed though it was only obvious because of his eyes taking in the carefully laid out bentos with a little eager shine. Kuroko nodded in response to his question and handed Mayuzumi his chopsticks.

"I also prepared some desserts…"

Mayuzumi beamed at him. "I can't wait to taste them as well." He said, taking the chopsticks from Kuroko's hands who bashfully nodded again.

And so they started to eat with an 'itadakimasu' said simultaneously. Mayuzumi tried the salad first, damn they felt so fresh and it didn't tasted bitter at all. The rice was not too soft, it was just and he likes it that way. It wasn't hard to take a hold on it too, because it sticks to each other rice but when its in your mouth it doesn't feel like that. And then the…well I don't really want to tell you more about what Kuroko cooked for Mayuzumi since you can all just use your imaginations all right?

Anyway,

Kuroko had always have little appetite except for vanilla flavoured food and drinks. His eating was slow and especially with his eyes constantly glued to Mayuzumi. You can see how distracted he was by his own thoughts of…well Mayuzumi that his eating was slightly slightly slightly sloppy, so you can imagine the bits of rice at the corner of his lips. It was a somewhat an adorable sight.

"Are you only eating that much?"

Kuroko blinked at look up from his obento. "Yes."

"You have to eat more. Too little is bad for you." Mayuzumi frowned.

"Too much is bad for me." Kuroko replied back.

Mayuzumi tried to feed Kuroko some of his portion but Kuroko quickly rejected after one forced bite, because seriously he was full. Mayuzumi gave up with a little sigh. "Fine then but at least don't eat so messily." He wiped away the leftover bits of rice at the corner of Kuroko's lips. A small smile made to his face.

Kuroko felt his emotion turn filled with embarrassment and blushed very very slightly and looked back down, covering back his finished obento. "Ano, senpai…about yesterday.." He began.

"What about yesterday?" He played oblivious.

Kuroko bit his inner cheeks. "About what you said…," He glanced at Mayuzumi who was waiting for him to get to the point. "Sorry but I can't, consider you I mean." He turned away again, feeling at guilt all of the sudden.

Mayuzumi put down his obento. "Because of Akashi, is it?" His face seemed a little irked and was glaring.

"Yes. No. I don't know. I love Akashi-kun…"

"But you doubt him. You're doubting whether he cares or not, whether he loves or not for you. If you love… you don't doubt because if you do then your bond is still not strong enough." Mayuzumi leaned over and stared hard into the bottomless pool of blue eyes.

Kuroko gulped, staring back. "I know but I can't help it…, he, Akashi-kun, is just to far away for me reach now." He began to cry, unconciously so. "But he said that..he won't stray from me, he promised..am I just supposed to let go? He is drifting away and I'm..afraid, Mayuzumi-san."

His hand drew up to wipe away those tears, his expression turned soft. "I'm here."
