~ A Love Since Forgotten ~
Awakened by a shadow engulfing his face, Naruto slowly opens his eyes. He sits up quckly and crawls backwards until he hits a tree. The person infront of him is his father, Minato. Minato kneels down.
" Who are you? " He questions. Naruto tries to speak but is unable. Minato reaches and takes a mask off of Naruto's face.
" Naruto. " he says sighing. " Why is your mouth taped? " he says ripping the tape from his mouth.
" OW! " Naruto yells in pain as the tape is ripped from his skin. " Dad, I don't know why i'm here but i'm leaving. " Naruto says standing up getting ready to leave.
" Wait. " Minato says. " Come with me. " He says leading Naruto into their house. Upon entering the house Minato is guiding Naruto through the house to Minato's room. They both walk into the room, Minato shuts the door and flips the light switch on to expose his room. Naruto's eyes enlarge at the images infront of him. Photos & newspaper clippings of his mother are all over Minato's room.
" W-Why are you showing me this? " Naruto asks hesitantly. Minato walks to a picture of Kushina & himself and he gently glides his hand over her face.
" You really want to know how she died? " Minato says quietly.
" Yes. If it's the truth this time. " Naruto says as he crosses his arms.
Minato sighs and motions to Naruto to take a seat on his bed. Minato begins " Well, as you know your mother did not die how i told you when you were young. Well back then I was young and dumb and I owed some people money for the drugs I bought from them. I kept saying i'd get them the money soon but I never did. Well one day we were moving to where we are now, I was here and she was at the old house. She texted me the numbers 9-1-1 which meant she was in trouble. I called her two or three times but she never answered. So when I got back to our old house police and everybody was there. A broken line of emergency people were leading to the front of our house. The police tried to stop me but I pushed and shoved my way to a scene that changed my life. Kushina was dead from a gun shot to the heart. It was meant for me but I suppose they had to kill the closest one to me, they killed my best friend. Your mother, My wife. Luckily you were at your Grandpa's house when this happened. I don't know what I would've done if you were there too. " He finished as he looked at Naruto who was now staring back at him.
" So, What about the letter? " Naruto sad angerly.
" I wrote that so you wouldn't know the truth. I did it all to protect you. " Minato says ashamed.
" Mom died because of you owing some money to some freaking drug lords or something, that's your story? " Naruto says unsure.
" You think i'm lying? " Minato says angerly.
" Well you lie so much I don't see why it's such a shock to you. Right now, I think the best thing for me is that I get some time to think, Okay? " Naruto says shurging.
" Okay, now please. Leave my room. " Minato says.
Naruto leaves Minato's room and goes into the bathroom, grabs the letter and heads upstairs into his room. He rips the letter in half then rips it again. He then throws it into his trashcan. He reaches under his bed and grabs the box, he places it on his bed and lifts the top off. He grabs the picture of him and his father and then places it on his bed beside the box. He looks back into the box and grabs the gun and places it on his desk. He throws the box into the trash and puts the photo in a frame. ( I forgive you for lying dad but nothing else. ) He thinks to himself. He lays onto his bed and gets comfortable and begins to take a nap. Naruto is awakened later by Sakura.
" Naruto, wake up. " She says softly.
" Hey, what's up? " he said yawning.
" Sorry to wake you, but your door was unlocked so I let myself in again. At least you're dressed this time. " She says laughing.
" Oh so you did see. " Naruto says nervously.
" Yeah I did see.. " Sakura says as she leans in close to Naruto's face. She closes her eyes and pushes her lips out.
" What are you doing? " Naruto asks as his voice cracks.
" I was going to kiss you idiot. " Sakura says giggling.
" You can't though, it's wrong. " Naruto says.
" How is it wrong? You don't have a girlfriend and I know you want to kiss me, you've always wanted to. " Sakura says angerly.
" I do have a girlfriend, It's Hinata. " Naruto says.
" I KNEW IT! I knew you two were dating! " Sakura yells.
" What do you mean? " Naruto asks stuttering.
" Well after school yesterday all of us girls got together and asked Hinata if you two were dating and she said she didn't know but we all knew she was lying. Oh I got to text Ino about this! " She says excitedly as she pulls out her phone and texts Ino. Naruto pulls out his phone and texts Hinata. The text reads * Hey, Want to be my girlfriend? *. Naruto holds his phone in suspense as his heart begins racing. Sakura's phone starts ringing.
" I'll be right back Naruto, I got to take this. " Sakura says as she walks out of Naruto's room. " I KNOW RIGHT! " She says as her voice fades down the hall.
Naruto's phone rings as he gets a Text. He opens the text and it reads * Y-Yes *. Naruto sets his phone down and lays back on his bed. (I-I have a girlfriend. ) he thinks to himself. He stands up quickly and looks in his mirror.
" I have a girlfriend. " He says to his reflection and keeps repeating it.
Sakura enters his room and says " Congrats Naruto. "
He turns to her and says " What if I kissed you back? "
" Then you wouldn't have been awake right now cause I would've knocked you out. " She says laughing.
" C'mon Let's gather everyone and go to the school. " Naruto says as he send out a mass text. Sakura & Him then leave the house and head to the school.
