Chapter 12:

Candy wiped away the soot and blood covering Adam's face. Each time that she touched the rag to his face, he would wince or cringe away from her completely. It didn't help that her hands were shaking the entire time she was trying to clean his face. A million and one thoughts were running through her head, a million questions and concerns. Was this man telling her the truth? Did Sam and Dean really have another brother that they never told her about? That was in the cage with Sam, nonetheless.

"Almost done," she cleared her throat once the majority of the dirt was washed from his face. "Sam and Dean never told me about you. I didn't know that they had another brother."

"I was easy for them to forget," he grumbled, suddenly knocking her hand away hatefully. The rag fell from her hand, and she stepped back nervously. "I was possessed by Michael, and Sam was possessed by Lucifer. We were supposed to have a celebrity death match. Castiel set Michael on fire, and Lucifer killed him. Killed Bobby, too. Then went after Dean... But Sam found a way to force Lucifer into the back of his mind. And he dragged me and Michael into the cage with him."

"He never told me that Michael was inside his brother," Candy frowned. "I always just thought it was some poor random from some small town. And Cas and Bobby? They're alive."

"Really?" Adam scoffed. "How?"

"I don't know how. I didn't know they died. All Dean told me was that Sam jumped into the pit and took Michael with him," she sighed. "I didn't know about you. I'm so sorry that happened."

"You're Sam's girlfriend, right? That's what Crowley told me."

"Crowley?" Candy made a face at the sound of his name. Adam stood suddenly, scaring Candy backwards and into the kitchen counter. He pulled the gun from the back of his jeans again.

"Yes, Crowley. He pulled me out of the cage. Left Lucifer and Michael down there to settle their own beef. And you know what he told me?" He asked, pointing the gun at her again. "He said that Castiel was the one to pull Sam out. And that they were just going to leave me down there with those assholes forever! My own brothers! Just abandoned me... He said I could get back at them. That I could work for him, and he would help me get back at Sam and Dean for leaving me down there to be tortured everyday."

"I'm sure it wasn't like that..."

"Then, Crowley told me about this girl," he grinned. "This girl that Sam had loved so much before he jumped into the cage. He said that she was still with the brothers. That she started sleeping with Dean, too."

"Crowley is an evil piece of shit," Candy scowled at him. "You can't trust a damn thing that he says."

"You were in their hotel room."

"I'm not with Sam. So your plan is foiled. You can take me home now," she crossed her arms over her chest defiantly. Adam chuckled a little, almost mockingly.

"So you did switch over to Dean. Bet that broke Sam's little heart."

"What is it that you want to accomplish by kidnapping me, Adam?" She asked in frustration. "You gonna kill me? Because if you are, then will you skip the villain plan speech and just get right to it." Adam reached forward and snatched up her wrist. He dragged her into the living room and threw her down on the sofa. He stood beside her, the gun aimed directly at her face.

"Call Dean."

"Okay," she muttered, pulling her phone from her pocket. Quickly, she dialed Dean's number and held it up to her ear. "Hey. Dean."

"Where are you?" Dean's voice came from the speaker, full of worry. "We came back to the hotel room and you were gone."

"I'm in a bit of a predicament."

"What's going on?" He questioned her.

"It appears that I'm being held hostage. Why? I don't know yet. But I was told to call you."

"Tell him that I have you," Adam ordered. "And that if he doesn't do exactly what I say, I'm going to put a bullet in your head."

"Adam says hi," she told Dean.

"Adam?"

"Your brother."

"What?" Dean asked breathlessly. "He's in the cage."

"Not anymore," Candy mumbled. "Listen. He has a gun pointed at me right now, and he's telling me to tell you that if you don't do what he says, then he's going to shoot me."

"Tell me where you are, Candy."

"Don't. Tell him to standby while I figure out a proper punishment for them," Adam commanded sternly.

"I can't tell you where I am, Dean. Adam says to wait until he makes his list of demands."

"Hang up," Adam told her.

"I have to go. Bye, Dean. I love you." Before he could answer her, she hung up the phone. Adam dropped the gun to his side and started pacing the room. Candy sat there, her hands folded in her lap over her cellphone, and she waited for him to stop moving. When he did, she wished he hadn't.

"Stand up."

"Yes, sir," she said sarcastically.

"Walk to the bedroom. It's the first door on the right."

"Why?"

"Just do what I say!" Adam lifted the gun again. "Go!"

"Fine..." She reluctantly obeyed.
