They stayed at a hotel in Lawrence, Kansas for a little while. Sam and Dean went to visit an old friend of the family who was diagnosed with cancer. While they were gone, Candy hung out in the room and watched a few cheesy horror movies before falling asleep. Her nap didn't last long. The sound of snapping wood woke her up, and she was startled when she opened her eyes to three men in suits standing at the end of her bed. At first she thought they were demons, but when the brunette of the group opened his mouth, Candy realized who she was dealing with.

"Where is Castiel," he demanded to know. Candy shrugged her shoulders, determined to keep her cool in the situation so that they didn't know how scared she was. "Call him," the brunette ordered her. "Pray for him to come."

"He doesn't listen to me," Candy scoffed. "There's no reason for me to pray to him because I know he won't come. If you're looking for Cas, try somewhere else."

"We know who you are, Candy," the blonde man of the group stepped forwards. "We know how important you are to the Winchesters and to Castiel. They would all do anything for you. So call him. Pray to him or we will make you pray to him."

"Look, he has a cellphone," Candy lied, reaching for the angel blade Cas has given her before that was in her purse. "I could just call him." When her hand felt the cold metal against its palm, she squeezed her fingers around it and looked up at the angels. As quickly as she could, Candy snatched the blade from her purse and beat frantically on the wall behind her, screaming for Adam to help her. When the blonde reached for her, Candy rolled out of the bed and onto the floor.

"Cas!" She screamed as she scrambled for the door. Before she could get a single foot outside, a hand clasped around her wrist. Candy instinctively whipped around and cut the cheek of the angel holding her arm. He threw her hand away, almost hissing at her as he brought his hand up to cover the wound on his face. Candy turned back in an effort to make it out of the door, but her feet were swept out from under her. She collapsed over the threshold of the door.

"Candy!" Adam shouted, running out of his room with a gun in his hands. He saw the men and raised it at them. "Candy, come on. Get up." The angels hesitated, staring at the gun in Adam's hand with smirks.

"They're angels," Candy told him as she climbed to her feet. "Bullets won't do any good." She stood in front of Adam, facing the angels, gripping the cold metal blade so tightly in her hand that her knuckles were turning white. "Stay behind me," she told Adam, "and pray for Castiel. Tell him that Raphael sent some of his men after us."

"We never said anything about Raphael," the brunette laughed. "What a clever little girl. She already knows exactly why we're here."

"You bastards are too lazy to hunt him down on your own. So you have to use me as leverage to bring him to you," Candy rolled her eyes. "I know exactly why you're here. All you assholes are the same." The third man, tall and dark-skinned, stepped closer to her, pulling a knife from a holster on his hip. "I didn't know you guys carried regular knives."

"We do when we're coming after humans," he told her. Candy braced herself, angel blade ready for battle. "You better hope Castiel comes go your rescue."

The angel swung first, and Candy was fast enough to block its arm. When she lunged for its stomach with the angel blade however, it grabbed her arm to hold her in place, and it swiped its own knife across her stomach. Candy immediately felt the heat of blood seeking from the wound and dripping down her stomach. Still, she stood back up, ready to go again.

"I admire the fact that you're still standing," the angel laughed. "Maybe we underestimated you." Candy's free arm hugged her stomach in an attempt to stop the bleeding. There was no denying that she was in pain. It was taking every bit of her strength to keep from doubling over in pain or dropping to the floor entirely. The angel swung again, but Candy ducked this time, and when she struck him in return, her blade pierced the skin of its stomach, this time sending him to the ground. White light glowed from the wound and its eyes, and eventually it fell still.

"Filthy slut!" The blonde cried out, smacking her across the face as hard as it could. This time, Candy couldn't stay on her feet. Adam knelt down beside her, frantically trying to pull her back up to her feet.

"Come on, Candy," he begged, "get up. Stand up. Please, Candy." Another flash of white light made Adam look up. Castiel stood there over the corpses of the other two angels. "Castiel, help me," Adam called to their friend, relieved that he had heard Adam's prayer. Castiel appeared suddenly behind Adam, moving him to the side gently. Adam was more than happy to move.

"You should've run," Cas told Candy with empathetic eyes. "They're a lot faster and stronger than you, Candy. You can't take them on alone."

"Bullshit, I killed one," Candy tried to smile. Castiel saw the blood on her arm and stomach, then lifted her and carried her to the bed. Adam followed behind, quickly snatching up a dirty towel from the floor,

"Here. Use this to put pressure on it."

"Thank you," Castiel nodded towards him. He held the bundled up towel to Candy's lower abdomen. "Call Dean and Sam," he told Adam. "Tell them what happened." Adam stepped outside to call Dean, while Castiel looked around for something to wrap her sound with. When he found nothing, he yelled to Adam to ask them to stop by a store and get a first aid kit and medicinal wrap.

"I'm sorry," Candy sighed, touching her cheek under her eyes where she figured there would be a bruise later on. "You're always having to come to my rescue. I'm not as good at fighting as Sam and Dean are. You always come save me, though. Thank you, Cas." She leaned forward a little and kissed his cheek softly. "You're my hero."

"It's my fault they're after you in the first place. I made Sam help me, and now they're after him, too. And to get to him and me both, they use you," Castiel explained. "Don't thank me. It's my fault in the first place." He tried to ignore the strange fluttering in his chest that started when Candy's lips touched his cheek.

Half an hour later, Sam and Dean returned with the first aid kit. Castiel had stopped the bleeding for the most part, but he was relieved to be able to put gauze over it and wrap the bandages around her waist and stomach properly. Once the wound was taken care of, Candy stood up to thank Adam and Cas both for rushing to her side when she called for them. Adam seemed happy to be the good guy for once, while Castiel kept thinking about the tingling in his cheek where Candy kissed him. After an hour, both Castiel and Adam left, Castiel returning to heaven, and Adam returning to his room.

"Are you okay?" Sam asked Candy once everyone else was gone. She looked down at her bandages, not even slightly ashamed for Sam to see her in her bra anymore, and she shrugged her shoulders.

"It could have been a lot worse. I still feel pretty badass because I killed one of them. I've killed vampires and demons and werewolves, but never an angel."

"I'm sorry we weren't here," Dean muttered as he emptied his pockets onto the nightstand by his bed. "It was stupid to leave you alone. We said before we wouldn't do it again, and we did."

"Stop it," Candy frowned at Dean. "It's not your fault. It's no ones fault. Everyone blames themselves every time I get hurt, but its just the job. It happens. Adam and Cas took care of me, and I'm fine now. I'm a big girl, Dean, you don't have to babysit me all of the time."

"This is why its a bad idea to bring people into this life," Dean grumbled. "This is why we always kept it just the two of us, me and Sam. Anybody else we try to keep around gets killed. It was stupid of me to go back for you. You would have been safer just staying in that bar."

"I don't care about being safe, Dean," Candy scoffed. "I wanted to be with you, to leave that place. I was sick of being afraid to walk outside every night, afraid someone would attack me because I turned them down when they tried to hit on me at the bar. I was sick of being alone, more than anything, Dean, and I'll never regret being with you two. It's the job, and its my job now, too. I can handle it. I have been for over a year."

"And how many times has someone had to save your ass?!" Dean snapped. "How many times have you been attacked and injured just in the time Sam's been back? You're right. We shouldn't have to babysit you all of the time, but we do. Because you're the only thing that can use against us. You're their only leverage against all of us. It shouldn't be like that."

"So then what? You just going to drop me off in a nice neighborhood and hope someone takes me in? How the hell am I supposed to get out of this now?!" Candy shouted back. "You cant change the past year and a half, and you can't just leave me. I can't just leave. It doesn't work like that anymore. I love you. I don't want to be away from you. I can't be away from you."

"She's here, whether you want her to be or not, Dean," Sam piped up, "and its not fair for you to make her feel guilty, because you're the one who went back for her." Candy snatched up one of Dean's tee shirts that she frequently slept in, then shut herself in the bathroom. When Sam heard the shower kick on, he stepped into the bathroom with her.

"Candy, you can't take a shower," he told her as he closed the door behind him.

"Watch me."

"Your bandages..."

"I'll rewrap myself after I get out. The bleeding stopped. It'll be fine." She unwrapped the bandages, and Sam grimaced when he saw the length of the wound stretching across her stomach. That grimace quickly turned into a blush when Candy dropped her bra next, then her underwear. Sam couldnt help but stare and admire, and think about how her curves and flawless pale skin used to all belong to him and him alone.

"Candy," he cleared his throat. She looked back at him, then stepped in the shower.

"Thank you for your concern, but could you please step out now. I just need a minute alone, okay? I'll be fine, I promise." Candy stared ahead at the tile wall until she heard the click of the door closing behind Sam. She let out a sigh of relief, then laid her forehead against the tile. It had made her self-conscious letting Sam see her like that, but it was the only way she could get him to stop telling her what to do. She wanted a moment of peace, where the Winchesters brothers weren't decided what she should and shouldn't do.

When she got out of the shower, she carefully tended to her wound, wrapping more bandages around her stomach until it was covered properly. Then, she put her on bra and panties and Dean's tee shirt. Before stepping out of the bathroom, she took a deep, prepatory breath. Dean and Sam were sitting in each of the beds, drinking a beer and watching something on TV. It was a sight she had grown accustomed to, and something she was glad to see after the days events. Dean perked up a little when he saw her in his shirt, with nothing to cover her slender, freshly-shaven legs.

Sam's large hand brushed over the soft skin of her thigh, and she turned, slightly startled, to see him moved to the end of his bed. His beer was now sitting on the nightstand. His other hand began at her calf, then followed the curves of her leg all the way up to her underwear. She looked at Dean, who had the same hunger in his eyes that she could see in Sam's. It didn't to bother Dean at all, which was odd. Candy was nervous about letting Sam touch her.

"It's okay," Sam told her as if he could read her mind. He lifted Dean's shirt over her head. "We talked about it. You don't have to worry about anything. Dean wont be angry with you." Candy looked at Dean, and something flashed in his eyes that she had never seen before. Like it was making him jealous to watch Sam touch her, at the same time it was arousing him.

Candy let out a little gasp when Sam's mouth began sucking and nipping at the tender flesh of the top of her breast. His arms wrapped around her, pulling her closer to him. Candy placed her hands on his shoulders, unsure of whether to push him away or hold him just as tight as he was holding her. His hands grabbed her legs and ushered them forwards so that she was sitting in his lap, straddling him. His mouth left her breast and travelled up to her lips, pushing them apart so he could roll his tongue over hers.

Dean gulped down the rest of his beer then walked over to them. Candy turned to look back at him as he pressed his chest into her back and wrapped his arms around her, resting his hands on her stomach just above the bandages. He took over her mouth then, nibbling at her bottom lip and kissing her with so much passion that Candy felt like she was going to melt. Her attention was brought back to Sam when he grabbed her hips tightly and began grinding them against his. Candy whimpered with desire, struggling between wanting Sam and wanting Dean, but not wanting to hurt either of them.

"Dean," she groaned in frustration. He shushed her with another heated kiss. Meanwhile, Sam was sliding out from under her, moving further up on the bed until his back was against the headboard. Dean spun Candy around,

"It's okay," he reassured her. "I told Sam he could. I don't like it, but he's right. It's not fair to him to love you so much and never be able to touch you. If I were in his shoes, I'd feel the same way."

"But you know I love you, Dean, and I don't want to be unfaithful to you," she whined. Dean smiled down at her,

"I know, baby. I'm going to take a shower, okay? Relax. You're not unfaithful." He kissed her one more time before heading to the bathroom. Candy stood there for a moment, hugging her body nervously. Sam called her name, but she didn't turn around. He stood instead, and walked around the bed to her.

"Hey," he whispered down to her. "We don't have to. You could just let me hold you instead. Whatever you want, Candy. I wont push."

"I want to, Sam, I just don't want to be the kind of girl who sleeps with multiple guys," she frowned. "I'm not that kind of girl. This is... It's new to me. I love you both so much." Candy let her head fall in shame. "I don't want to hurt anyone."

"You're not." Sam tilted her head up so he could look into her eyes. "Dean understands. We talked about it, Candy, and we decided that it would be okay. If you want to, Candy, we can. But we dont have to by any means." Candy thought about it for a moment, thought about how it used to be, then crawled into the bed. She laid on her back, arms crossed over her stomach self-consciously. Sam crawled over her, hovering just above her. She started to tremble nervously, and Sam felt incredibly guilty all of a sudden. He started to pull back, but Candy grabbed him before he could.

"Just wait here a minute," she asked him. She climbed out from underneath him and scurried to the bathroom. Sam sat on the bed and sighed to himself, thinking that Candy was going to tell Dean that she didn't want to cross that line with Sam. The sad thing was, he completely understood. He and Dean had put her in the middle of them a long time ago, and she had to try her hardest to keep both of them happy. It wasn't fair to her.

After a couple of minutes passed, Sam heard the shower water shut off. Dean came out in a towel, followed by Candy. The brothers looked at each other awkwardly. Candy relieved the awkwardness by stripping herself of her bra and underwear right in front of Sam and Dean. She moved back onto the bed, over Sam, but pulled Dean along behind her by the knot in his towel. She turned so that her back was to Sam, and she was straddling him.

"If I have you, too, I don't feel like I'm doing something wrong," she told Dean, undoing Sam's jeans below her. Once Sam was free of his jeans, Candy grabbed him with one hand, stroking him gently. "I need you both, always." She held Sam into position as she carefully lowered herself into him. Sam bit his lip to keep in a pleasurable groan. Candy held onto Dean's shoulders, not holding back the moan that escaped her lips as Sam stretched her.

Dean brought her face up to his and kissed her reassuringly, admitting to himself that hearing her moan like that made it nearly impossible for him to control himself. Sam grabbed her hips, helping her bounce up and down on top of him. As she bounced, she clung to Dean, kissing him, moaning and gasping against his lips repeatedly, which only made him want her more and more. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. He snatched her up from Sam, and he turned her around so that she was facing Sam. Sam scooted upwards on the bed, dragging up his underwear to cover himself. Candy bent over, laying her torso down against Sam's chest. Dean slid off his towel.

"Dean," Candy panted. She gasped as Dean pushed into her, grabbing handfuls of Sam's shirt as she struggled to hold in her noises. Sam brought her face up to his, burying his hands in her hair and kissing her nonstop as Dean thrusted into her, hands gripping her hips tightly. Her body started to tremble again, but this time with pleasure, and Sam began rubbing her while Dean moved in and out of her. Candy didn't last very long with the overwhelming pleasure rippling through her. It only took ten minutes to bring her to the edge and push her over. She collapsed into Sam, shaking as the aftershocks rolled over her. Dean was right behind her, removing himself from her before releasing his own built up pressure onto his towel on the bed.

"I think I'll go finish my shower now," Dean laughed. "Candy, I hope you don't mind if I use your towel this time."

"I don't," she panted. "Help yourself." After Dean disappeared into the bathroom again. Sam waited for the shower to kick on before rolling Candy over onto her back. "Sam..." She breathed, trying to catch her breath. "I don't know if I can-" She was cut off when Sam kissed her, and while her mouth was busy, he slipped into her again. Candy's whole body tensed, still not completely recovered from Dean.

"I want to make you feel good, too," he said in her ear. It took a minute for Candy's muscles to relax, but once they did, Sam began pushing in and out of her, moving with a steady rhythm while dipping his head down to suck and nip at her breasts. Candy buried her nails in his shoulders, spurring him on even more. "I love you," he whispered to her, hugging her body against his. "I still love you more than anything."

"Sam," she moaned his name yet again as her body was forced back to the edge. He rubbed her with his thumb until she orgasmed again, tightening around him, making him rush to pull out and finish on the bed underneath her. Sam's hair stuck to his forehead, and his breaths were quick and ragged. Candy sat up once the orgasm passed, and she pulled up his face so she could kiss his lips softly. "I love you, too."

"It makes me so happy to hear that," he smiled at her. Sam handed her his shirt, then laid down on the bed beside her. After sliding on Sam's shirt this time, Candy laid on his chest tiredly. "I hole we can stay like this forever."

"Me, too."

When Dean got out of the shower, he found Candy sleeping peacefully on Sam's chest. Sam was awake, and he moved over to allow Dean into the bed beside Candy. They both cuddled her, holding her tightly so that she knew she was loved and she was safe. They fell asleep soon after, leaving the TV on because that's how Candy liked to sleep. She was their world, everything they loved and stood for. Neither of them could be cruel enough to take it away from the other.
