Disclaimer:Don't own crap
Pairing: Minato x Kushina
Note: Jeeze, have I been gone or have I been gone? I have no excuse, but honestly, I had such writers block that it frustrated me to the point of 'just don't touch it or you'll ruin it'. Everything that I've written has been dead. Nothing. I feel like my mind just... stopped.
I have no intentions of stopping this story, so please don't panic if I don't update soon.
A lot has changed in the time I've been gone and I've honestly been trying to 'get to know' my characters again because I feel like I've lost a hold of them when I disappeared.
Anyways, please Enjoy this chapter.
No Flames, please.
Drifting Blossom Chapter Ten
Strands of blonde hair flew about in the wind and into warm brown eyes. Kushina could only stare with slightly shaky hands. Her legs ached to lurch her body forward and wrap the older teen into a warm hug, one that spoke of longing and joy that she was finally seeing someone that she had personally known long before her departure from her previous life.
Tsunade Senju was standing right before her with Nawaki Senju, her little brother.
A pang went through Kushina's chest, knowing that the boy had made it only a day past his twelfth birthday. Hopefully, she could do something about that, if possible. Even if she could change a lot, sometimes, things just couldn't be skirted around.
Mito walked past Kushina, causing the girl to come back to reality as the older woman pulled both her grandchildren into her embrace.
"I've missed you, both of you." She murmured. They both lived outside the clan walls, which Mito hadn't been too pleased about, seeing that she was all alone before Kushina had been handed to her. Tsunade returned the hug before Nawaki was pulled into one, looking embarrassed like any other kid his age would.
Finally, Mito pulled back and guided Kushina in front of her, hand between her shoulder blades.
"This is Kushina Uzumaki, a relative of ours and Heiress to the Uzumaki Clan." Mito introduced her and Kushina flushed, a smile suddenly appearing as she looked at the two before her.
Tsunade raised an eyebrow before crouching to her level, her eyes taking in the girl before her.
"Hello Kushina-chan! How are you fitting in?"
And the sudden happiness seemed to spiral down. Kushina's abrupt frown had the young blonde reeling back slightly at her swift mood change.
"The academy kids make fun of my hair. It's obvious I'm not well liked either by the people, seeing that I'm more or less a refugee." Kushina would have kept listing things, but she didn't want to seem like a complete brat. She made it sound so childish too.
Tsunade frowned before Nawaki leaned forward, hand darting out and messing up her long red hair.
"Well, I think it's awesome looking! Pretty too, just like grandmas is." Nawaki blurted out loudly and Kushina could only look at him with wide eyes. His brown hair and flushed cheeks with that large smile reminded her of Naruto just as much as Minato did.
It took a mere second of taking in that fact before Kushina burst out laughing. Too many people reminded her of her teammate, but this boy obviously was just as obnoxious as him and it sent relief through her, that there was someone out there that was just as crazy as Naruto.
Kushina instantly found herself liking Nawaki. He was sweet, and obviously doing well with his training. Tsunade had even forced him to constantly practice his abilities, always telling him that he should be ready for anything.
They chatted for a bit, Kushina helping Tsunade with the tea before they finally sat down at the small table outside, enjoying the dango that was placed before them.
"So, Kushina-chan, do you have any friends that you play with?" Tsunade questioned and Kushina nodded, a smile coming to her face.
"Mikoto-chan. We train a lot at the compound."
Mito smiled and took a sip of her tea. "What about that young boy with the blonde hair? I see him with you two a lot."
Kushina flushed, her face heating up and going red like her hair. Nawaki stared at her before bursting into peals of laughter, his face flushing as he pointed at the girl.
"Kushina-chan has a boyfriend!"
Her fists clenched together at the teasing and her anger got the best of her in that mere second before she slammed her fist down on top of his head, seeing that he was seated right next to her.
"I do not! I'm only seven!" she denied, anger making her look childish. Tsunade and Mito smiled at the two before them as they bickered. Nawaki hadn't had someone around his age to bother like that in their small family. It was quite pleasant to see them both getting along with one another, even if it was on the border of bickering.
Nawaki retaliated with a strike of his own, but as his fist closed in on Kushina, the Uzumaki found herself reacting, catching the boys throw and halting it without difficulty. Tsunade blinked and her mouth fell open as she stared at the girl before her.
"You…" and she slammed her hands down on the table, standing up and leaning forward to eye the girl. "You used chakra to stop that! That shouldn't be possible! It takes years and knowledge of utilizing chakra to enhance the muscles consciously and to not destroy them. How did you even learn the basics of enhancing your muscles?"
Nawaki was staring between his older sister and his cousin, Kushina. They both were eying one another and Mito had an eyebrow raised. She knew that the girl had an uncanny amount of strength, but she hadn't been thinking that the girl was possibly using chakra.
Kushina's lips thinned as she stared at Tsunade. With a shrug, she directed her attention towards her tea.
"I had a Medical Ninjutsu teacher in Uzushiogakure." She finally muttered. "I was kept inside all the time, only being taught the Shinobi and Kunoichi arts. Technically, I am already a Genin, just not of this village."
Tsunade gapped at the girl, her eyebrow twitching as she found herself looking at her in a different light. She hadn't expected the young Uzumaki to be considered a genius or the fact that she was literally kept inside to just learn her duties.
Finally, the blonde fell back into her seat, surprising Kushina with her wail. "And it took me so long to learn how to even gain that amount of control!"
Kushina furrowed her brows. She didn't have the control to do what Tsunade could do, but having had years of practice before ending up here (not this timeline), it was almost like it was ingrained into her body. She would never be a Medical Ninja like Tsunade though.
As the blonde wallowed in self pity in being shown up (in her own mind) by a child, Kushina was snagged by Nawaki, who was begging to see some of her training. His grandmother always mentioned the Chakra Chains of the Uzumaki Clan and he was eager to see them.
Something that was rare among his relatives was worth seeing in his opinion.
"Come on Kushina-chan!" Nawaki called out, dropping his hold when they finally got to the training grounds. Kushina watched as he turned to face her, bowing at the waist before she finally did the same. Once they separated a good distance, Kushina brought her arms up and her feet spread out to balance her weight, ready for anything headed her way.
Nawaki drew out kunai in a quick movement and as Mito and Tsunade settled nearby to watch them, he finally threw them.
Kunai flew at her and in response; she drew a kunai out, blocking each one and sending them off course. Nawaki took that chance to rush her, a tanto appearing in his own hand. Already anticipating his rushed frontal attack, Kushina sent chakra to her legs, her forming muscles going taught as she bent her knees and just as Nawaki started to bring the tanto down on her, she disappeared, lurching high into the air and over him.
Already she could see flaws in his stance, in his rushed attempt to show her his moves, just like Naruto. She wasn't perfect herself, but she had years, mentally, on this kid. It was then, that Kushina realized that it wasn't about trying to gain as much power as possible, but to train those around her and push them in the right direction. Kushina already knew that she had to learn as much as possible, to grow as strong as possible, but she would have friends that were almost equal in strength if she did this right, and they would be a force to be reckoned with.
Nawaki spun on his heel, backing up and making sure that he wasn't being rushed as Kushina landed in a crouch. She hit the ground with a small thump, light on her toes before surging chakra through them and bulleting across the space between the two to take him off guard. Nawaki teetered back and flung himself to the left, his eyes wide as he struggled with keeping up with Kushina's speed. The girl was fast.
Kushina stopped her momentum with chakra at the soles of her feet, finding purchase on the ground and swiveling to face Nawaki, she went into a roundhouse kick. Nawaki already had his arms up, tanto abandoned as he stopped Kushina's leg. As it connected, Nawaki grunted and forced his legs to bend, chakra keeping him in place and also enhancing his muscles in the slightest to take the brunt of the kick on his forearms. He'd have to thank his sister for that trick. At her leg connected with his forearms though, it was then that his eyes honed in on the small inked seal upon her ankle.
Weight Seals?
He knew a bit about seals and sealing, but it was that small fact that told him that this girl wasn't even going as fast as she could be.
Nawaki pushed back, causing Kushina to stumble back at the move and Nawaki swiftly dug into his pouch, pulling out a couple more kunai. Kushina backpedaled and jumped away just as Nawaki released the knives.
Kushina's eyes widened when she spotted paper bombs wrapped tightly around the handles and instantly, golden chains wrapped tightly around her body, protecting her as the first one went off.
Nawaki's jaw dropped as the dust cleared, and instead of continuing to fight, he bounded across the training field in seconds, eyes sparkling in delight as he started obsessing over the golden chains.
Kushina blinked owlishly, staring at the boy. If all he wanted to see were her chakra chains, he could have just asked instead of battling her. With a sigh, she answered as many of his questions as she could, all the while watching Nawaki plaster his entire body against the translucent shimmering golden wall that the chains created.
Tsunade and Mito sat off to the side, chatting about things that have been happening and watching the two kids, enjoying the peace for now.
Oooo
Kushina panted, sweat trickling down the middle of her back and temples. She felt disgusting and she knew that Mikoto and Minato probably felt the same way. They had been training most of Saturday in the Uchiha compound. It didn't help that it was sweltering out, seeing that there was a heat wave passing by. Usually fire country was warm; it was somewhat nice out, but today was not one of those 'cool' days.
"Anyone want to practice water walking?" Kushina gasped, her lungs feeling like they weren't actually taking in air because of how warm it was. Minato grunted, barely moving from his spot on the ground. Mikoto waved a hand, making an 'okay' sign before flopping to the ground.
"Why is it so hot!" she whined, getting a breathy laugh from Kushina and Minato.
Stumbling to their feet, Kushina and Mikoto headed inside for their bathing suits, Minato trailing after them. They had an entire drawer full of Kushina's and some of Minato's clothes in Mikoto's room because of how often they spent their time there. Once they all had taken turns in the bathroom and making sure they brought towels, Kushina was the first out the door, energy bubbling up once again.
"She's always moving, even in this heat…" Mikoto murmured to Minato. He shrugged his shoulders.
"Kushina-chan has a lot of chakra… like, a sea, honestly." He finally answered, eyebrows furrowing as he felt his chakra reach out even more, searching. Mikoto raised an eyebrow, her lips tugging up into a smile.
"A sensor type? That's pretty neat." She stated. "Though, I can agree with the chakra thing. Sometimes it feels like it's suffocating, especially when she overpowers her ninjutsu. The only thing is, it's instantly sapped away …"
Minato blinked and then looked at Mikoto. "Sapped away? Do you mean that odd area on the outside of her shoulder? Where that symbol is inked upon her? It feels like it draws in the chakra that is wasted from ninjutsu use."
Mikoto sighed, instantly realizing what it probably was. "Kushina is very adept at the Sealing Arts, which I know you've noticed."
"So, three seals upon her body so far from what I can tell. Two upon her ankles and then one on her shoulder." Minato stated before Mikoto interrupted him.
"Four."
"Four?"
Mikoto watched as Kushina reached the clan lake well before them, diving headfirst into the water after taking a leaping jump filled with chakra.
"When we went swimming before, without you, Kushina tried teaching me water walking. When Kushina concentrates on her chakra or calls upon it, at all, a large seal appears on her stomach."
Minato frowned. He opened his mouth to respond, but was interrupted when Kushina breeched the surface of the lake.
"Come on guys! It's freezing!"
The two friends left it at that, both dropping their towels and running full force at the large lake.
The sun was high in the sky and Minato was standing on the bank, watching the two girls giggle about midway out on the lake. Their feet would occasionally take a dip into the cool water before they would pull them out and reset them back on the surface, both swaying and having fun at the same time.
"It's the same as tree walking, but different at the same time!" Mikoto called, Kushina grinning and nodding. Minato found his gaze taking in the red head, hair vibrant underneath the sun and almost glowing in a fiery sort of way. His face flushed as he took in that smiling face and he glanced away before his eyes took in that large seal of ink upon her stomach.
Shaking his head, Minato quickly focused chakra into his feet. They were all developing quickly in the ninja arts, ever since Kushina decided to show him those scrolls. From there, they all have gained new skills and he was working on simple movements of his element. It was harder than he thought, moving air and focusing on how to make it sharp, but he was getting it.
Stepping out onto the water was tricky. His foot sank immediately and Minato had to focus more chakra, spreading it out and searching for the correct way to utilize it to stay on the surface of the water. He kept on changing the output of his chakra before it finally registered in his mind that there was actually no set output, but a constantly changing one, unlike the tree walking.
He had learned about the tree walking technique from Mikoto and Kushina, and then how to perform it from Usagi Uchiha, Mikoto's mother.
This was challenging, but he could do it. Once he was sure that he had a steady hold on the technique, Minato fully stepped out onto the lake and grinned sheepishly at the two gapping girls.
It wasn't until there was a sudden feel of the water shifting a different way that caused both to burst out laughing when he sunk halfway up to his waist. It seems that he would have to get use to fish moving the water too.
Struggling to get back on top of the surface, Minato paused when he found a hand being held out to him. Looking up, he flushed at the sight of Kushina smiling down at him, offering her hand out to him. Her hair was loose and cascading over her shoulders, framing her face with eyes filled with amusement. It took Minato a second before he reached out, grabbing her offered hand. Once Minato was finally settled back on the surface and looking a bit more confident and sure of himself, did Mikoto interrupt them.
"Hey! Look what can finally do!" and both turned, watching the Uchiha go through familiar handsigns before she took a deep breath in and released.
A large flame erupted centimeters from her mouth and became a very large fireball before hitting the lake a few yards out and hissing as it went out.
Mikoto had already accomplished the technique, but this one was bigger than her previous one. It showed her developing control over her chakra and Kushina couldn't help but grin widely and congratulate the girl.
As the trio began discussing their classes and what they were learning, Kushina couldn't help but smile fondly at the two. She was glad to have made friends with them. She was changing things, slowly but surely and she prayed that she could keep making small differences to have a different outcome than what her world had been.
Oooo
Kushina hissed in frustration. She had more than enough chakra to do this a thousand times over, just not the understanding on how to do it and a slight fear of what to expect.
Their sabotage teacher finally deemed them capable of learning a basic jutsu in their elements. Kushina's happened to be Earth Release: hiding like a mole.
The first step was getting the handsigns down. The second step was the process of making the dirt loose enough for her to move through. She got that part, but what she feared the most was going underground and getting stuck. The fact that she could possibly suffocate while underground was what stopped her from fully trying this technique.
With another frustrated hiss, Kushina struggled with the one foot that was currently knee deep in the ground. It felt like a thick soup encasing her leg. As much as she just wanted to dive head first into the ground like she did with the lake a couple of days ago, she just didn't have the guts to. How would she tell which way was up? Down? Left? Right?
Would she be unable to break herself out of it? Would it instantly crush her if the jutsu were to cancel?
Kushina looked around the place and frowned when she realized that she was the only earth user other than the teacher. It was mostly fire, with a couple of wind and water users. There weren't many in this class anyways, so that didn't help her at all.
Kushina grumbled to herself, wringing her hands together. She could face multiple opponents. She could handle herself when dealing with assassins, and then there was the fact that she was a Jinchūriki. Yet she was defeated by a simple Earth Jutsu.
Rei suddenly appeared next to Kushina; smile a bit too wide for the red heads liking.
"Having any problems?" she asked, eyeing Kushina's knee deep leg and the way she was trying to keep herself balanced. Kushina shook her head abruptly, not wanting to know what Rei-sensei had in mind, but that only encouraged the teacher.
"Ah, fear of the unknown depths of the world, I see." She mused, sounding sort of like she was trying to scare the wits out of the poor girl. Kushina would have stepped back, but she couldn't go anywhere with a leg half submerged and refusing to actually budge.
"Why don't I help you with that?" Rei-sensei suggested, a shark like grin suddenly appearing. Kushina had a second to realize what her teacher had just said before she screamed in utter terror at the sight of a lunging predator.
Rei-sensei slammed into Kushina and instead of hitting the ground, they slipped right past the surface.
Kushina couldn't see.
She was dying, she was going to suffocate.
The earth felt like it was getting smaller, closer, caving in on her.
Kushina couldn't breathe.
She began to struggle.
The hands that held onto her fought, trying to calm her down and keep her from panicking, but Kushina Uzumaki was having a panic attack.
She couldn't fight the anxiety, the utter fear of being buried alive and unable to escape. The possibility that the earth was going to crush her was feeding her fears.
Her chakra bubbled, hers and the Kyuubi's. It bubbled up to the surface of her skin and fought, lashed out to protect.
Rei-sensei instantly retreated, her hands lurching away along with her body. She could almost feel the burns that would have been caused if she hadn't pulled away from Kushina.
Rei surged out of the ground, eyes wide and instincts screaming.
"Back up!" She shouted, startling her small class that was currently practicing on one of the private training grounds. They weren't moving fast enough.
"Move, now!" she screamed, chakra sending her high into the air and landing on the outskirts of the training ground. Her students instantly retreated behind her, looking worried and confused at their teacher's anxiety. Hizashi and Shibi both noticed Kushina missing and Hizashi was the first to question it.
"Rei-sensei, Kushina-san…" and he cut himself off, feeling the chakra surging, bubbling, building. His Byakugan instantly flared and Hizashi's lips thinned as he noticed the figure within the earth, chakra circling her in a frenzy and pulsing in desperation.
The earth rumbled and the training ground seemed to be trembling, earth rippling like something was crawling right underneath its skin. It was then that golden chakra chains erupted from the earth, arching in the sky before coming back down and digging deep into the earth, all connecting back to one source. The chains grew taught and red chakra seeped from them as they pulled.
Kushina thought she was dying, again. She thought this was the end, dying by suffocation.
It wasn't until pain flared in her back and then the feeling of fresh, cool air hitting her face did she find herself suddenly choking on a sob. She would have probably had a meltdown if darkness didn't swallow her at that exact second, a sharp pain in her neck telling her that a pressure point had been hit.
Hizashi held the girl bridal style, his brows furrowed as he looked down at the girl he had just knocked out. Rei-sensei would have to take it slow on teaching her moves that required the girl to go underground. If she had just spoken of having the fear, then none of this would have happened. Every single person in this small class had already been 'tortured' with their element to get use to what they needed to do to produce the exact same results. Having water blasted at you wasn't something Hizashi had liked, but it had helped with the mere understanding on what it did. He wasn't looking forward to the water prison that Rei-sensei was going to be teaching him.
Rei-sensei appeared next to Hizashi and medical ninjutsu suddenly flickered to life in her hands before setting to making sure the girl was alright. With a brief bout of silence, she finally pulled away and sighed heavily. In all her teaching years, not once had she had that kind of reaction. She should have at least planned for it.
Damn it, kids this age didn't have large chakra reserves anyways! She shouldn't have to worry about them lashing out like that!
Gesturing for Hizashi to put Kushina down, she then checked the girls pulse before sending medical chakra through her, waking the unconscious girl up.
The first thing that Kushina took in was the light. The sweet sight of the bright blue sky and brilliant streaks of light shining through the treetops. The second was the fresh air and then making sure she was whole, in one piece.
"Kushina," Rei-Sensei called, "You had a panic attack and lashed out with your chakra, how are you feeling?"
Kushina grunted before a canteen filled with water was shoved under her nose. Taking a long swig, she then breathed in deeply before turning raging violet blue eyes onto the teacher.
"Why!?" her voice was shrill, ear piercing and caused the entire student body to cringe at her wild look and rising red hair. It was like a spawn of the devil suddenly appeared.
"I've done it with all my previous earth students and they've all had slight panic attacks, but they usually figured out that they could still breathe, 'see', sense. None have lashed out like you did." She managed with an apologetic look on her face.
"I'm sorry, Kushina-chan, really I am."
Kushina sighed heavily, brushing dust off her arms and patting down the front of her outfit. "Next time please tell me what you are going to do."
Kushina was left to rest for the remaining duration of class, sniffling every once in a while.
She didn't know how to feel about having the element Earth, but she knew she had to eventually overcome her fear of being underground.
She could understand the fear of being underground too. She had seen Kakashi sensei do it plenty of times, but for the life of her, it terrified her because she didn't know how it would affect her.
Oooo
The rain was pouring from the sky, heavy and miserable. Kushina could only stare blankly as Tsunade rubbed at her red puffy eyes and nose while Nawaki was outright sobbing. There was a man comforting Tsunade as well, Dan, if Kushina recalled from memories of another life.
Kushina stood next to Nawaki, the large room filled with plenty of civilians and ninja alike. Kushina was greeted, given handshakes and warm hugs and sincere apologies, but it didn't take away the cold numbness that had settled in her gut.
Mito Uzumaki Senju had passed away in her sleep last night.
Kushina didn't know what to think. She had taken to the red head like a fish to water. She had instantly found herself loving the grandmother figure, the love and the encouragement from the woman was what encouraged the girl. Kushina had lost another of her clans members.
Her violet blue eyes drifted from unrecognizable faces to clan heads and their heirs. They flitted over counsel men and women before drifting to the Hokage and his advisors. They then, finally, settled on the peaceful redhead, holding lily flowers of different colors. Her hair was done beautifully, face set in a peaceful way that made it look like she was asleep. Mito wore elegant kimono robes, yellows, white, blues, and their Uzumaki symbol proudly stitched upon her left side, above her breast.
Surrounding her casket were flowers upon flowers and in front of it were pictures of Mito and Hashirama, one of Mito and her grandchildren, and a newly printed one of Mito and Kushina eating lunch at a small tea house.
Incense were burning as well, ones that Mito happened to like burning in the house on occasion.
Tears pricked at the edges of her eyes and a lump formed in her throat as her sight finally settled on two approaching people that she recognized.
Sunny blonde hair and bright blue eyes, and black with a hint of blue and coal colored eyes.
Minato and Mikoto stopped before her, frowns trying to turn into small smiles as they looked at her. Mikoto was the first to step forward, pulling Kushina into a tight hug.
"I'm so sorry…" she murmured and Kushina barely managed to muffle a small sob. The taller girl pulled back, squeezing Kushina's shoulders before Minato stepped forward, looking down at the red head.
"We're here for you, Kushina-chan." And he pulled her into a tight hug. Kushina's hands trembled as she hugged him back, fresh tears staining the blondes blue t-shirt. Pulling back, she gave both of her friends a watery smile.
"Thank you, for being there, here. For Mito-san and us."
Mikoto and Minato moved down the line, greeting Nawaki, Tsunade and Dan while giving their condolences. It wasn't until everyone was seated that they went through speeches and how Mito was a great person and how she contributed to the safety of this village with her sealing.
Kushina sat, watching with dull eyes as the Hokage spoke of her bravery and loyalty to the village, going so far as to seal the Kyuubi within in to keep it from being used against them. (It was well known that she was the Kyuubi holder).
It was at the mentioning of the Kyuubi that both Minato and Mikoto looked at one another with furrowed brows before Mikoto subtly gestured to Kushina. Minato's lips pulled down into a frown before he shrugged, gesturing for her to drop it.
Of course, they wouldn't let that sit for too long.
Oooo
Minato sighed heavily, scrolls lining the large library table before him. He wasn't a genin, so he had access to a minimum amount of information regarding Shinobi things. Though, what he did have access to was the history of Konoha, and other places too.
The Tailed Beasts.
They were fought over, villages more than willing to go to war over making sure they could keep the ones that they wanted, in their village. They were split, given to villages to keep them content. They were sealed into various objects.
The chair across from the boy moved and Minato had a kunai out, ready to defend. Mikoto rolled her eyes while looking at the boy.
"Really?" She then threw herself onto the chair, looking at Minato before scanning the scrolls before him.
"Did you know that the villages keep tailed beasts in various objects?"
The young girl furrowed her brows as Minato pushed the scroll in front of her.
"With seals."
Mikoto's heart skipped a beat and she leaned in, her eyes wide as she looked around. "Mito-sama was the container for the Kyuubi no Kitsune…"
"Do you think it was just a coincidence that Kushina-chan was brought here? With Mito-sama getting older by the day, is it really that hard to connect the dots? The Kyuubi needed to be put somewhere or released back into the wild." Minato murmured.
Mikoto felt the blood leave her face. "Should we ask her?" she questioned, wringing her hands together.
Minato looked down at the scroll, his hands clutching at the durable paper.
"No." he finally stated, getting a confused look from Mikoto.
"No, we let her tell us when she is ready." He confidently stated. "Because, what are friends for?" and smiled at Mikoto, who let out a relieved breath.
"We'll be there for her. I don't care what is sealed or not sealed within her, she's our friend." Mikoto determinedly stated with fire burning in her eyes. "And, for all we know, it could be something else that is sealed… so we'll wait."
Minato nodded, rolling up the scroll and picking up all the scattered ones on the table to put away.
"Let's go make sure Kushina-chan is doing alright."
Mikoto smiled before getting up from the table. "Maybe ramen might cheer her up a bit." And both headed out to drag their friend to the ramen stand, even if she resisted.
Note: No, Minato and Mikoto aren't sure if the Kyuubi is sealed in Kushina.
Eventually we might see some emotions about how they feel about it when they actually DO know, but right now, Kushina is their friend who is mourning.
Minato is smart, he's bound to connect the dots sooner or later, or get some kind of idea. He's a genius in his own right.
Kushina's Fear: I had to write something that she feared. There had to be something because there isn't always nothing. I decided being underground because, how would you feel if you were suddenly submerged underground? Not knowing what to expect? I'd panic because the thought of being buried alive is frightening and I'd rather be dead than that happen.
Any suggestions are MORE than welcomed. I take constructive Crit, not Flames. It's fanfiction.
You can expect another chapter sometime in the near future to make up for the lack of...writing. Just need to get my Homework for college submitted and I can start right away.
