Chapter 6: An Ace's Blazing Intro, the White Knight arrives!

(Iria)

"Ryder…" she stopped at the exit of the stadium and slipped a small folded photo from her pocket, staring down at it with deep hollow eyes. A small teardrop slid down with her indifferent expression, falling down onto the picture and creating a small wet stain through it. The boy within the photograph had light brown hair that fell down to his jaw in a loose, messy, and untamed manner, he had the exact same eyes as Iria, blue with tints of purple blotched around, light fair skin with a perfect face structure.

"It's been three years…...I'm here because of you…..so when will you come back…you promised you would never leave me again…...please…...please…..return". she whispered the last word, clutching the photo tightly in her hand and wrinkling it into multiple folds, she closed her eyes tightly, clenching her teeth painfully.

She had ignored the multiple voices coming through her way, not bothering to open her eyes and only to remain standing still, letting her tears anxiously force there way out.

"Mercy, you deliberately threw the emblem for Crystal Genesis, purposely waging war against the Frontiers, do you realize the conflict you have created?" Both Celeste and Mercy were making there way towards the direction Iria was standing at.

The bluenette threw her hands behind her back, smirking deviously as she chuckled lowly under her breaths, "You can't say you're not against my action though, otherwise you would have caught the emblem the instance I threw it…...may I remind you, you're not like an ordinary human…..you're something far from that".

Celeste sighed restlessly, "No need to remind me, I'm well aware of that, considering you're just the same as me, whenever I look at you, I am reminded of myself".Her eyes shifted sleekly over to Iria, staring at the young girl continuously who had stopped crying, suddenly shifting her head upwards and revealing her tear glistening eyes, the blue and purple mixture had sparked something within the two hair shaded girl.

"Celeste…..what are you staring at?" Mercy stopped, staring at Iria as well, her eyes widened a bit as she then turned over to Celeste who nodded slowly.

"Those eyes….I'd recognize them anywhere…" She continued walking ahead, Mercy gave her a tiny heads up before walking her own separate direction, a tiny leer curved up onto the left side of Celeste's lip, she began holding her hand out towards Iria who stared back in a confused manner.

"Hello there….I'm Celestial".

(Eira/Harvey/Hector/Celebrant)

*He's like a prince…...so handsome* Eira gaped over the blonde haired male, the lights falling over him had disappeared, yet the effect of his princely like figure remained.

"Blazing White Knight?" Pondered Harvey, he continued staring at the Elite from head to toe.

He nodded, "Yes, I am Celebrant Sanders, I hold the title of the Ace for the Elites-". he was cut off by Hector who appeared from behind the building, sneaking up behind Eira who squealed and jumped forward, stealing a small laugh from the flaming prince.

"In other words, Celebrant is the second strongest trainer just beneath the Queen herself, amazing, isn't it"? He chuckled, Celebrant seemed a bit embarrassed from his allies praising comment.

"I worked hard to earn my spot here, anybody can become a great trainer so long as they have the heart, soul, and courage of a knight, those are the words I abide by". He had approached closer to Harvey and Eira, keeping his smile while holding his hand out.

"And THAT, is why you are the White knight of the Elites". Hector chuckled, Eira shook his hand nervously, prompting him to take notice and quickly release his hand from hers, Harvey took it into his own hand, shaking it firmly with a smile of his own.

"Two Elites in a day? I don't know what else the day has in store for me". he grinned, Hector's smile had slowly withdrawn itself, he took on a more serious look.

"Celebrant, I'm pretty sure I have the answer, but just in case, did you witness the whole thing earlier?" Celebrant looked over at Hector, his smile lightened when he nodded, "Those Frontiers….they say they're purpose is to destroy us….but I can't help to feel that they don't have the darkness within themselves to achieve that, they're good people, actually...they might possess the purest hearts I've ever seen".

"What do you mean?" Asked Eira, tilting her head slightly in a curious state.

"The Frontier's have one goal only, and that is to become recognized as the best, so they wish to destroy and dethrone the Elites so they can achieve top status, but when trouble brews within our school, the frontiers are there to help, when injustice is done, they will fight to make sure fairness is brought on, they are looked on as enemies...but I believe they are heroes, troubled by conflict created from previous generations of Frontiers and Elites".

Hector slapped Celebrants back, catching the Ace Elite offf guard, "Celebrant has the purest heart I've ever seen, he'll overlook the worst in people just to find the good within them, I may not like the Frontiers, but Celebrant is forgiving and understanding amongst all…...even the Frontier King". he hissed upon saying the final four words.

"The Frontier King…." mumbled Harvey, Celebrant nodded, closing his eyes as he released a tiny, barely audible sigh.

"The Frontier King…...he's the most infamous figure in the school, something about the way he acts, it's dark mannered, but even so, with all the history between our Queen and him, I still feel like he has some light inside his heart".

Hector scoffed, "Sometimes you take things a little too far Celebrant…." he was startled when the Ace holder had snatched the black envelope from his hand, he sliced it open, pulling out a formal sheet of paper that was folded.

His eyes followed every word written on it, then they shifted onto Hector who noticed the somber look in his eyes, "Round up the Elites, and meet me at the Gold wing, I'll be waiting with Luciana and Zero, hurry". Hector wanted to question it, but felt he shouldn't ask when Celebrant was hurrying him.

He sighed, scratching his head in a bit of irritation, "I'll find Dakota, but I don't have a clue where Mika is, that girl's something else, she comes and goes whenever she pleases".

"Dakota and Mika?" Asked both Eira and Harvey, Celebrant chuckled, rubbing his neck wearily, "Sorry about that, you're still new to the school".

Hector shoved his hand in his pocket, and with the other he created small gestures as he spoke, "Dakota is the bell title holder of the Elites and the youngest, she specializes with contests and tripokalons, she's a real spotlight hogger…." Celebrant chuckled, "Don't let her hear you say that or you'll be in for the worst".

He seemed in angst, quickly shaking it off and resuming his description, "...Then there's Mika, she's the Sword of the Elite's, just beneath Celebrant, she's the third strongest trainer in the Academy, she's a real fighter alright, her pokemon consists of only one type, the most beautiful and rarest of all, fairy's, she follows to become the best fairy type trainer in the world, her team may look harmless….but there is a reason why she herself has earned the name of the Dark Fairy".

They noticed the Ace title holders head which was nodding along with every word Hector spoke, "Mika is certainly a frightening one, but that is why she is the Sword of the Elites, strength, power, ultimate offense….she is what counters against the Frontiers Shield, Eric, who is all about protection and defense, we Elites have a purpose with the Frontiers, such as I, who counter with the Joker of the Frontier's, a tricky battler he is".

Hector leaned against the wall, "And Just how I am equal to the Club of the Frontier's Victoria, she has a blessed history of being able to land critical hit after critical hit on her opponents in the ring, I however, represent truth, breaking the chain, to bring luck, or bring disaster on my battlefield is the way to go, then there's Dakota who rival's against the Diamond, Charlotte, both beauty's, yet they are the outer shell of the Elites and Frontier's, they have rock hard exteriors which keep the entire team together".

"Who would have thought…." mumbled Eira, Celebrant looked on to Hector, "We've already lost precious time, go and find Dakota, leave the rest to me". the burning rose had nodded, taking off into his own direction and leaving the higher ranking Elite alone with Eira and Harvey.

"If it's not too much trouble, I'd like to ask a favor of you two".

He shrugged, looking over at Eira who seemed hesitant but then became reluctant, not waiting for the Elite males request, "I must find Luciana and inform her of such matters, So I am asking if you two will do me the favor and go in search of the Sword herself, Mika, she roams the school grounds and doesn't go too far unless night falls, when you find her, hand her this envelope and she will know what to do next". he sealed up the dark envelope, handing it over to Eira who took hold of it.

"But how will we know it's her?" asked Harvey, now becoming a bit doubtful of the task, they watched as the White Knight smiled at them, "There's no way you would be able to miss her, I appreciate the help you two, I hope we meet again in the future". he ran off with just a wave to the two students, leaving them dumbfounded like earlier, staring down at the sealed envelope.

Eira frowned, "Great…...now where do we start?"

(Russell/Troy/Rose/Tyler/Blake/Ari)

"So these are our uniforms, class schedules, and room numbers?" he looked up at nurse joy who was smiling with a nod, he looked down at his items, gazing at them with his one eye, a folded uniform still wrapped in delicate paper, a small but sturdy piece of paper with a list of classes, their times, a map of the school on the back, and finally, a small key clipped onto a key ring for them.

"On the west will be the boys dorms while on the east will be the girls, each dorm is then divided by floors according to what your status as a trainer is, first floor is dedicated to trainers, second floor will go onto coordinators, third floor will go onto researchers, the fourth will be for performers, the fifth will house medical students, and the sixth floor will be for breeders, understood?" they all nodded to the nurses information.

"One final thing, tonight is the big welcoming ball, it's a traditional event held at the very first day of the new school year, the event will take place inside Arceus's Hall, the largest building in our school, the doors will open at seven sharp, don't be late". she winked at the group, placing her attention on the new batch of students who came for her help.

"A ball? Sounds lame". mumbled Tyler, clutching onto his uniform and items tighter and not realizing that the rest had agreed with his words. Rose squealed, startling all the males who took notice of her cheery attitude, "A Ball?! I need to get to my room and start getting ready!" she waved at the group, taking off and leaving behind a trail of infatuated boys gawking after her.

"Maybe a ball won't be so bad". Chuckled Blake, the others stared at him in a deadpanned manner.

Troy shook his head, "Speak for yourself, I don't have time for balls, my only goal is to challenge the Elites and take over as the new champion".

"You'll never be able to defeat Luciana". Victoria brushed by, whispering those same words for only Troy to hear, he looked back, watching her hair sway back and forth, he pointed towards her direction, looking over to the rest of the group of who gave him weird looks.

"Did you just hear that?" they shook their heads, continuing to give him weird looks.

"What are you talking about?" asked Russell.

"That girl….she just….". he stuttered on his words.

Tyler Responded next, "She just...what.."

"Nevermind". he sighed, shaking his head as he waved it off. Ari stayed silent, staring after Victoria's figure with an expressionless face.

"She's pretty…..yet rude".

(Leonard/Leo)

"Of all the things in the world, of course they would bunk me with kid who has the same name as me". Leonardo sighed, his roommate rolled his eyes, settling his Larvesta on his bed which was by the window.

"Your name is Leonardo, I'm Leonard, there's a difference". he scoffed, grabbing his luggage bag and unzipping it.

"Not really, the only difference is by one single letter". muttered the older boy, already unpacking his belongings. He stopped, staring down at his things while he could hear the rustling from his roommate.

"Hey kid…" Leonard sighed, stopping his movements as he replied back, "What".

"Do….do you think I have what it takes to become the Storm King?" his face grew more stern as he waited for the young boys response, he heard another sigh, turning his head back to see Leonard now sitting on his bed, stroking the shell of his larvesta.

"It's not in my place to say whether you have what it takes…..but what I can say is….the Royal wars is not a game…..blood will be shed, lives will be at stake…..and all of it will be for that one crown of sheer Ultimate glory….if you can withstand pain, loss, and tainting your hands with blood….your chances are high, this is for the big leagues, go big or go home". the room fell silent afterwards, with both of them staring into each others eyes firmly, almost as if they were trying to show no other emotion besides dominance.

Leonardo became reluctant, blinking and flashing a small grin to his roommate, "Whoever said the path to become the best was going to be easy? I'm willing to do whatever it takes to become the best, but I can't do it alone…..you're the only person I know here, and with my luck, you seem to know a lot about the regalias and the Royals war…...Leo, you have to lead me into the right direction".

"Are you crazy? I promised myself I would never drag myself into that world, my grandfather warned me about the dangers of the regalias, and I swore by Arceus that I would never involve myself with them". he tensed up when the older male got up from his bed, he walked over to Leo, holding his hand out towards him.

"I swear on my life, I won't let any dangers come to you or your pokemon….this will be my battle, but I need the guidance of someone with your knowledge to lead me into joining the Royals war, I promise you…...once I find my road, you won't have to deal with me". He stared at his hand, hesitating whether to take it and trust the words of the boy he just met, or deny it.

"Fate must be telling me something to have put me in the same room as you….". he growled under his breath, taking his roommates hand in agreement, his frown grew into a smirk, "...It won't be easy, first things first…...you have to find your path, the regalia's don't just accept anyone as there keeper….but…..the real question however is…...where can we find the regalias?"

(Mark/Rick)

They were seated across from each other on the table, waiting quietly for the return of Michael and the King, Mark looked around, tapping his fingers as he gazed about the room, taking in the unique sight.

"So you're from Elite class blood, huh". he turned his attention onto the raven haired boy with cyan streaks in his hair, he nodded, remaining silent when he felt his piercing blue eyes staring at him.

"I'm Rick….but you can call me Rika". he held his hand out towards Mark who shook it, "I'm Mark…..mind me asking why you prefer to be called Rika?"

Rika chuckled, combing his hand through his hair, "Because I believe I should have been born a female, it's a complicated situation most people don't understand, I don't mind". he shrugged, sparking a tiny chuckle to escape Marks lips.

"You have a strong personality, I'm impressed, but I'm guessing there's more to you considering you've also been "kidnapped" by the Frontiers". He shifted his blue eyes to the side, he slumped back into his seat, Mark took notice, quirking his brow upwards in confusion.

"I'm not one to gloat, but I have a superior intelligence, at a very young age I was already testing theories about pokemon and dimensions unknown to us, I was advanced three times the normal average, I could still remember the memories of my parents hiding me away, I was targeted by many people, most I had no knowledge of, my intellectual status was constantly targeted by research groups and secret organizations, I've lived a hard life because of my gift, so if you still can't already tell, I'm actually not that surprised that I've ended up in this situation".

Mark got up from his seat, strolling calmly around the room as he closely examined each of the computers, "Does that mean you will be able to hack through the regalias networking?" he stopped, grazing his hand over the steel counter, he turned his head back, staring at Rick solemnly.

He smirked, holding his chin above his fist, "Depends…..will you be able to unlock the regalias?".

His expression turned dark, he faced the wall, ignoring Rick's teasing chuckling, "I have deep history and relations with the Elite fours from every region, my father was a classified Elite four…...I have knowledge in things most people would never know about in their entire lifetime….but I plan to keep those secrets with me even in my grave, I don't ever plan to follow in my ancestors or fathers footsteps, I've made my choice to become a researcher…..but I guess I can't run away from destiny, it seems somehow….even after all this, I am brought back to the Tower and Regalias…...what else can I do but follow the polite threat of the King, I don't plan to pursue any further conflict, but if it's possible, I will try to stir his plans".

"Oh my…...I don't believe it…." Rick chuckled again, standing up from his seat as he approached Mark, stopping only a few feet away, "...You….you know where each of the Regalia's are…...all 28 of them, don't you". He reacted to Mark's silence, scoffing with a slick grin as he crossed his arms.

"What if I said I did…."

(Mercy)

She strolled into an isolated area, stopping below a tree as if she was waiting for something, "Don't waste my time, hurry up and come out".

Mason, Maori, and Maddox appeared from behind three of the surroundings trees, smirking pleasantly at the younger girl who rolled her eyes, "You haven't changed a bit, you're still as venomous as ever ".

"Well it's always a pain when standing in the presence of three idiots". She looked satisfied upon hearing them growl under their breaths.

Maori went up to her, glaring down at the bluenette with a low whispering voice, "What do you want Mercy, we cut our ties with you and and the Neo Queen a year ago".

"I understand that, but now we're calling for your allegiance to Crystal Genesis again, Celeste is preparing to wage war against the Frontiers and Elites, she wants to destroy the Regalia's and shut down the Royals War before it begins, we can't do it without the Rebel's triad on our side". he looked taken aback by her sudden expression, pleading, grim, helpless.

"Why should we help her? Celeste could have taken Genesis further into conquest, but she gave up, she broke our family, and now she wants to return and wage war against two of the most powerful groups in the world and ask us to join her again? Bullshit!" Maddox spat on the ground, hissing every one of his words out.

She closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath, "She had her reasons for everything…..especially after what happened to…..". she could barely swallow the building saliva in her throat, the three males quickly realized who she was talking about, the atmosphere turned heavy and grim along with their faces.

She shook her head, taking in another deep breath before releasing it, she reached into her sweaters pocket, clutching her hand tightly, she walked past Maori who turned around, following her movements when she approached Mason, she held her tightened fist out, he placed his palm under, letting her drop the emblem into his grasp.

"I won't beg and get on my knees just to beg for your allegiance, but if you said we were all truly family…...then you wouldn't hesitate to come to your families rescue…..you guys, she risked everything for us, including her own road just to fight for equality amongst rebellion and royalty…...time ticks, don't wait too long". she pushed herself past the blonde, bumping shoulders with him and leaving the triplets to ponder on her words.

"What do we do?" asked Maddox, scratching his head in angst.

He brushed his blonde locks aside, looking down at the silver winged emblem in his hand, "I don't know….". He gripped his hand shut, throwing his arm down as he looked up at the sky, sighing.

"Idiots…..". she kicked the stone she came across, watching the direction it flew to only to stop when she saw what it had landed against.

"What the….." she narrowed her eyes on the figure, hoping it wasn't what she thought it to be. The grass beneath was stained with blood, she rushed over to it, dropping her guitar case and kneeling beside the body. She grabbed onto it's shoulder, rolling her on her back, her entire body was covered in scratches, deep cuts, bruises, her clothes was torn, her hair was disheveled, her arm was disfigured, twisted the opposite way in a grueling manner, almost sickening to Mercy's eyes. The burns surrounding her body continued oozing blood along with all her cuts.

"Who did this?" she mumbled, covering her mouth as she couldn't stand the sight any further.

(Luis)

"What was this student's condition?" he looked down at Luis's unconscious and disfigured body, his ocean blue eyes shifted over to Nurse Joy who jolted at it's seriousness.

"He was attacked, two students had rushed him in here, he suffered minor to major burns, some fractured bones, he had to get stitches and has multiple bruising and abrasions around his body, he's in an induced coma and won't be waking up for a while, but with the right care and medication, he'll recover safely".

"Nurse Joy, how do you suppose he sustained these injuries?" She seemed a bit intimidated by the raven haired man, she tried avoiding her eyes from shifting over to the red streaks on his bangs, almost reminding her of blood.

"U-um...Well, according to the students who were here earlier, they believe it to be the work of a dragon pokemon, or perhaps a dragon move, to say the least, I couldn't agree with them more".

"Thank you Nurse Joy". she nodded as a gesture, exiting out of the room and leaving the man by Luis's bedside". He looked down at his watch, then turned to the window, watching the sun slowly set down.

He turned his attention back to Luis, whispering in a barely audible tone, "For what reason would they target a kid like this…...".

(Three years ago)

"Champion's Academy….I can't believe it…" He held the golden envelope in between his hands, staring down at it for quite a while as he remained seated. A knock on his door had startled him awake, sparking him to frantically look around for a quick hiding spot, he shoved it in between one of his books, stuffing it back into his book shelf and twisting his chair around towards the door which had creaked open. Iria had popped her head through, smiling at her older brother who smiled back wearily, "What is it Iria?" he breathed out in a somewhat relieved tone.

"Nothing….I just wanted to see how you were…". She sighed, smiling contently at Ryder, "…...I never thought my brother would conquer the Unova League….everyone's proud of you….especially me". he smiled back at his younger sister, getting up from his seat and exiting out of the room, he brought her into a hug, a hug which she had returned and which had lasted for a while, with only them remaining silent.

She had decided to break the silence, "Mom is really proud of you…...and I'm sure wherever dad is….he would be too". he could hear her voice cracking as she spoke, sparking him to hug her tighter, allowing her to cry on to his sweater. "I know they are….you won't have to cry anymore, I won't leave again, I'm back for good this time".

"Mom cries every night…..I can't be alone anymore, I already lost dad….I don't want to lose you too". he shook his head regardless if she saw it or not, "I promise I'll never leave you alone again, you and mom, we're all in this together….my conquering of the unova league will take us further into a new life, count on it". she nodded, causing him to smile as he felt her head movement on his chest.

"I'm only going for a week, I need to prepare for my final battle with the Champion of our region, this is a moment that will be witnessed by you and mom sitting front row, I want to ensure my Victory, and in order to do that I need to train in the toughest and deadliest terrains around". He zipped his backpack shut, slinging it over his shoulder as he tied his shoes, standing up from the ground and ruffling Iria's hair.

"You can't, you promised you wouldn't leave….." she stared at him with pleading eyes, clutching her fist against her chest, bearing the unpleasant feeling beating within.

"I know, and I won't, I'll be back before you know it, I'll become the next Unova champion, and we'll become a happy family once more". he held his pinky out for her, she stared at it, continuing to stare until she hooked her pinky along with it.

"Come back soon, Big bro".

~0~0~0~0~0~0~0~0~A week later~0~0~0~0~0~0~0~0~

"It's been a week already…...I need to get home before Iria and mom start worrying". he gathered up his things, clipping his pokeballs onto his belt and making his way back into the forest.

"Ryder Blackthorn". three cloaked figures dressed in white had shot down in front of him, surrounding him in between a white glowing ring surrounding the four of them. He was overwhelmed with panic, his adrenaline kicked in, sparking him to frantically look around at the mysterious trio.

"W-what is this? Who are you?!" he was grabbed from his arms by two of the figures, the third one stood just a few inches away from him. It placed it's gloved hand over Ryder's face, he gasped out, revealing the white in his eyes which had rolled back.

He wheezed and whispered out his next few words, "W-what…..do…..do you want from me….?"

Her voice was soft, relaxed, and soothing to the ear, almost like a wisping melody, "We don't desire anything of yours….of course, just the willpower, courage, and strength coursing through your veins…..you…..my friend, have been summoned, the time is now, which path will you follow?"

Their figures had disappeared, leaving behind fading copies of the four of them, as well as a trail of echoing screams from Ryder, his belongings remained in mid air, taking on gravity as they had dropped to the ground, leaving them scattered and broken.
