(Albert)

*I wonder what all that was about, those two seem to have a long deep history, but what?*

He had his mind in the clouds while facing the ground, eventually stopping when he heard giggling.

"Did you see?"

"Yeah, both the Frontier Shield and the Elite sword were together again, I was surprised when I saw it".

His attention was focused on the two girls talking in a distance, he quickly rushed over to them, startling both girls, "Excuse me, what exactly can you tell me about the Shield and Sword?"

They looked at one another, exchanging glances of hesitation, "W-well…." One of them started.

"I don't exactly know if it's true, but rumours have said that both the Shield and Sword used to be long time friends, way before the Academy.

The other girl nodded, "Yeah, I heard they were a powerful duo, but once they arrived to Champion's, they were quickly torn apart, one supported the Elites while the other supported the Frontier's, when they joined their respective group, they decided to cut ties with one another".

"So that's it then…..there childhood friends…."

(Many years ago)

"Humph!" She jumped over the wall, landing shakily on the ground and taking off without another glance.

The gates to the entrance swung open, a maid along with a butler and several men in suits rushed out, looking side to side for the young girl.

"Mika! Come back!"

"Stop the young lady!"

"Bring her back! The master will get angry!"

"No! I hate this family! I'll never go back!" She shouted, running faster and faster, she took turn after turn, not caring where every route would take her.

"-ika!"

"Mika!"

She stopped, now resting against a tree where she could still hear the faint screams of her caretakers yelling for her, "I'll never go back". She whispered, throwing her head back where she slid down on the ground, closing her eyes for a quick second, a second too long.

~~~~Nightfall~~~~
"Mngh….." Her eyes fluttered open, her vision slowly becoming clearer.
"You're awake". her eyes shot open at the unfamiliar voice.
"Ah!" She shrieked out loud, scooting backwards only to find herself cornered against the tree she had slept alongside.
"Shh!" He hissed, placing his hand over her mouth where she seemed to have calmed down.
She was able to get a good look at him, he had messy dark brown hair that almost seemingly blended into the night, his right eye was shielded by his bangs, but the left had captivated her, ruby eyes that glowed with excitement in the dark, one look and she felt paralyzed under his gaze.
"Are you ok?" He removed his hand from her mouth where she nodded slightly.
"W-where did you come from?" She asked.
"I like to walk through the forest at this time of night, it helps me clear my mind and sometimes helps me escape reality".
"Who…...who are you?" She asked again, still feeling unsure about this boy.
"I'm Eric, Eric Blackstone, nice to meet you". He held his hand out, waiting for her to grasp which she did with a light touch.
"I-i'm Mika". She mumbled.
"Are you ok Mka? When I found you, you seemed to be crying in your sleep". He gave her a more concerned expression.
She quickly looked away, realizing that she wasn't only crying in her dreams but also in real life, with cheeks flaring red, her words couldn't be made out properly.
"T-that…..I-I was….it's none of you business".
He gave her a faint smile this time, "It's ok…..crying is the best way to get rid of the sadness, I used to do it all the time, but now my eyes have dried up and I can no longer cry, at least….I think I can't".
A sigh escaped his lips, he rested on the grass with both hands behind his head, he was staring at the starry night sky, "Are you crying because of family?"
She nodded, not wanting to respond back with words, she continued sitting up, keeping her head lowered to shield the water works coming.
"I used to cry because of my family too…..Tell me Mika, did you run away?"
"I did…...". She mumbled, "...and I'm never going back".
"Let me guess, is it your dad?" Her head shot up, she was stunned that he was correct.
"Y-yeah, How did you-". He quickly cut her off with a chuckle.
"I was the same, and all of it was because of my dad….the beatings, the abuse, everyday he made sure to remind me how much he hated me, things haven't changed to this day…...but I've learned to deal with it". She saw the smile still formed on his lips, something which greatly bothered her, she could sense the pain behind his words, the sadness hiding from his eyes, why was he faking this smile towards her?
"My father…" she murmured, grabbing Eric's attention as he sat up, now facing her directly as he saw how troubled she looked.
"...He has taken over the family business ever since my grandmother was sent to the hospital where she remains now, he refuses to let me see her, the only way I'll be able to see her is if I complete all these tasks for him". She bent her knees up, now resting her chin over them.
"What kind of tasks?" He asked, now curious as to what she meant by that.
She was hesitant, finding it frightful to say, she took in a deep breath, "He makes me steal certain objects from different facilities around the region, I'm forced to collect information from rivaling companies for his benefit".
"That doesn't seem too bad". He replied, trying to comfort Mika who shot him a disgusted look.
"My father is a terrible man! His company is evil! The things they do will terrify one to their core! It's sickening!"
He held his hands up defensively, having an apologetic look as well, "I-i'm sorry! I didn't mean it like that, I just wanted to make you feel less guilty about the things you do".
"That man….he's a demon under human flesh…". Tears began streaming down her cheeks, immediately being noticed by Eric who was left stunned.
"...I'll never be free from him, not as long as he holds the location of my grandmother".
"Mika…" her eyes shot open when he brought her into a hug, tightly holding the young girl who didn't care at the moment, she hugged him back, using his shoulder to cry on.
"...I'll help you".
"W-what?" She pulled her head back, now facing him directly.
"I want to be free too….we both can". A tiny smile formed on his lips.
"You mean…...run away?"
"Why not? We can go look for your grandmother, together".
"R-really? Do you mean it?"
He nodded, resting his forehead against her's, "I do".
~~~~~~Several Days later~~~~~

She pulled out a small backpack, choosing from her belongings on which to bring along, she stopped when she remembered his words and voice, a tiny smile curved up on her.

*We'll meet at the train station five days from today, that should be enough time for me to collect some money and get tickets for the ferry to Vermilion city, that's where one of the most prominent hospitals in Kanto reside at, there's a good chance your grandmother could be there*

"This is it….." She mumbled, looking up at the clock where she nearly choked.

"Crap! I'm late!" She grabbed as much as she could and stuffed it all in her bag, slinging it over her shoulder and taking off for the gates.

"Mika". She stopped at the door, recognizing that voice all too well.

"Dad….." she whispered, quickly turning around to see her father descending from the stairs.

"In a hurry?" He asked, giving a cold gaze towards his daughter.

"A-actually, I'm go-". His words had cut in.

"Come with me to the lab for a quick second". He began walking, stopping for a quick second where he turned his head only enough for him to gaze at her from the corner of his eye.

She seemed troubled, looking back and forth between the door and her father, she had no choice, "Yes father".

He continued on with Mika by his side, she took one final glance at the door, suddenly feeling a disturbing sensation in her chest. *Eric*

"What's this about?" She asked, not liking the silence.

"I just wanted to show you something, I heard the other day that you escaped a few days prior to my return, is it true?"

"So what if it is?" She growled, avoiding all eye contact with him.

"I thought I made it clear on what your next task was, or…..did you not want to see your grandmother anymore?"

She tried her best to remain strong, all her tears were being held back forcefully, each time hurting more and more, "What you asked of me was too much, how was I supposed to find a subject for your team".

"Simple, you find somebody and you offer them a deal".

She scoffed, "Who would ever do such a thing".

A chuckled escaped the older man's lips, "Apparently, the offer was just too good for this young man's father".

They stopped at the entrance where he pushed the door open, "Aggghhh!"

She was startled by the loud screaming, her heart was racing when she heard scream after scream echoing down from her, "It…...it can't be…" she whispered, dropping her bag to the floor when the lights flashed on.

"Let me out of here! Somebody! Please!" He was bound by heavy metal chains, large cuffs strapped to his wrists and ankles while a leather muzzle was strapped to his face.

"Eric!" She cried out, he stopped her when she tried stepping forward.

"How long has he been down here?!" She growled.

"Five days".

She snapped her head over to her father, a venomous glare growing on her eyes, "How could you! Release him! Now!"

"I'm afraid I can't, you see, I spent a great deal of money on this boy, so he belongs to me now, I can do whatever I please".

"Arrrghhhh!" She cringed at his cries, they were injecting him with a black substance, ignoring the aching screams of the brunette.

She clenched onto his suit, staring up at him angrily, "W-what are they doing to him! Tell me!"

"Sorry, but that's for only me and my men to know". A devious smirk formed on his lips, crushing the young girl's heart as she kept hearing him scream.

"M-mika!" She turned to his direction, seeing the tiresome expression on his face, he was breathing and panting heavily, muffling through the leather muzzle strapped over his lips.

"E-eric?" Tears were coming down her eyes, the sight was unbearable, she felt guilty, broken, hopeless.

His head slowly rose up, his eyes solely focused on her, "I-i'm sorry Mika…I said we would find your grandmother together….but I couldn't even do that for you…..I'm….really…." His words became softer and quieter, his head kept dropping but he was resisting, eventually falling into a deep slumber with one final breath, "...Sorry".

"Eric!" She ran but was quickly pulled back by her father, she flinched from the tight grip on her arm.

"Let me go! I have to make sure if he's ok!" She tried pulling away but to no use.

"Of course he's ok, I paid a lot of money for him, so I'm going to make sure we get the most out of this kid…..of course….we could always make a little deal". She became nervous upon seeing the dark grin on his face.

"D-deal?"

"That's right".

She seemed uncertain, most of all suspicious of her father, but her heart dropped when she looked over and saw Eric, unconscious in his chains, she turned back to the older male.

"Whatever it is, I'll do it".

(Mika)

She sat at the edge of the roof, looking out at the scenery of the school with a sorrowful expression.

*We'll be the best team in the entire school! Nobody will beat us because we're unstoppable!*

She clung onto her chest, holding back the urge to cry, his voice continuously sounding through her head, "Why can't fate just keep us away from each other….everyday it gets harder and harder".

*I'll let this boy go if you collect information for me at this school, it's called Champion's Academy, I need you to get me as much data as possible on a group called the Elites, join them, befriend them, I don't care, but just make sure to find out all their secrets*

*Ok…...but on one condition, Eric has to come along with me, he can't go back and live with his father, I'll do whatever you want, just let him come with me…...please*

*Fine…..but if this kid starts interfering with your mission, discard of him, otherwise I'll do it myself, understand?*

*Yes…...father.*

Her head was in between her hands, she was repulsed by the entire conversation replaying over and over in her head, that voice that haunted her since birth, she couldn't take it, her head dropped where tiny droplets began staining through her skirt.

"I hate you…..Why did you have to join the Frontiers….why…..".

*!*

Her head shot up at that sound, "All students immediately evacuate the premises! I repeat, evacuate the premises! The school is under raid, teachers, please report to the gates as soon as possible!"

She stood up, now standing at the very edge of the roof, overlooking the entire school where she was startled by a large flamethrower shooting up into the air.

"Eric….."

(Luis/Anastasia)

"Today was really crazy, wasn't it?" She chuckled wearily, suddenly uncomfortable by Luis's firm attitude.

"When those guys were fighting about that girl….it suddenly reminded me of Keilani…...I still haven't found her".

A frown surged through her lips, "I'm sure we'll find her soon enough, it only takes patience".

"I don't have patience". He mumbled, throwing his head in distress, a loud growl escaped from him.

"Hahahaha! Really?" He stopped automatically, looking every direction until he came to a stop.

Anastasia followed right behind as he began walking, stopping once more where she looked at his face, a shocked expression.

That red hair, bright like the flares of the sun which only gave him one word, "Keilani..."

"W-what?" She looked over at the direction he was facing, the triplets were talking with a short female who seemed all too familiar to Luis's knowledge.

His feet moved under the command of his heart which fastened rapidly under the intense adrenaline surging through his veins, he wanted to hold her, kiss her, hear her voice, "Kel!"

She turned around, noticing right away of his charging presence, a look of surprise widening through her eyes, "What the..."

Her body quickly moved to avoid his trapping embrace, leaving both Luis confused and slightly hurt, "Who the hell are you and how do you know my name?"

"Kel...it's me, Luis..." he tried grabbing her hand but she pulled it away.

"I've never seen you in my life, now get out of here before we have problems".

"A-are you serious? But it's me...your boyfriend!"

"I don't have a boyfriend, and If I did, I think I would remember what he looked like, and it's not you".

Anastasia gasped, "Oh dear...it seems Keilani might be experiencing some memory loss".

"If you'll excuse me, I need to get back to my friends". he watched her leave, joining sides with the triplets who left a trail of laughs behind.

"That idiot seriously tried playing that card on you?"

"Pathetic, I know". She scoffed.

"I-it can't be...Keilani..."

"Luis..." the brunette frowned as the atmosphere darkened around him.

His fists tightened at every echoing laugh they left behind, "Friends". He was standing completely still, head angled toward the ground.

Confusion, fear, and rage, These were the current emotions that Luis was experiencing at the moment. Confusion, that the best girl he's ever known has completely forgotten about him. Fear, that she might never regain her memory back. But the strongest one he was feeling at the moment was anger, rage.

But for the life of him, he couldn't figure out why he was angry. Was he angry at Keilani, the only one who could put up with him, for not remembering who he was? Was he angry at himself for not doing more to protect her? He honestly didn't know.

He did know, however if he didn't find something solid to punch in the next minute or two. He would literally thrash the next living thing that is closest to him.

"Umm... Luis, are you alright?" Anastasia carefully motioned to the young Aura Guardian, extending a hand to place on his shoulder.

"No." He simply responded, not moving from his spot.

"Ah... I see." She said with a solemn expression. She honestly felt bad for the guy. They stood there for what seemed like an eternity until he finally spoke up.

"Hey, Ana? Mind if I ask you a question?" Luis, still standing in his original spot, gazing at where Keilani was moments ago.

"Y-yeah sure. W-What is it?" She said, with a slightly nervous smile. She had to remain positive for Luis's sake since he just lost someone very important to him, sure he was an annoyance for his perversion, but even she felt bad at what just happened. Her eyes widened in fright as she caught a glimpse of the boy's, current state.

His once brown eyes were now a bright glowing blue, his fists were clenched to the point of drawing blood, and it was like the air around the boy had become overwhelming. Like something was pushing an unseeable force against her to the point where she had trouble breathing.

"Do you know someplace where I can let loose? Somewhere I won't have to worry about maiming the nearest living thing next to me?" He simply asked, uncaring of what he looked like or if he was scaring her. He REALLY, wanted to punch something.

"U-U-Umm," Her legs were starting to tremble beneath the pure power Luis was exerting, she was trying to find the correct words to say to him. "I-I-I, d-don't know," she was trying to find the words until suddenly, Luis interrupted.

"Ah... Nevermind, I found a place." Turning her head to the left, she saw the place he was talking about. The forest.

"Luis…." She reached her hand out but stopped, seeing him disappear within the forests entrance.

"It's been a while, Anastasia". Her eyes shot open, she quickly spun around, gasping when something had forcefully grabbed her.

"Luis!" A blood curdling scream had been released into the air.

(Mercy/ Russell)

"W-what is this?!" He growled, throwing his head back as the pain became too much to handle.

She grabbed his arm, now wrapping it around her shoulders where she helped him, allowing herself to be his support, "We need to find Celestial, she'll know what to do".

"W-what?! Is she going to kill me?!" She rolled her eyes, "No you moron, she'll be able to tell you what's happening, I've been through the same thing, but I think it's best to have her help you with the entire process".

"What exactly is happening to me, why does it feel like something is burning through my bod- agh!" He screamed, feeling that stinging sensation once more.

"It's your road, it's summoning you to be its next successor".

"My what?" He hissed, flinching with every step he took.

She looked at him, he did the same, both exchanging glances where she decided to not say anything, but instead just help him walk.

A cloaked figure shot down in front of them, forcing Mercy to stop with Russell, "I figured I would find at least one of you, but to get lucky with two kings is just perfection".

"Who the hell are you?!" Shouted the bluenette, holding tightly onto Russell who dropped on one knee, being drained more and more by the minute.

"We're here to collect the Kings and bring them back home, starting with you two". He pulled out a pokeball, holding it out towards Mercy who stepped back, dragging Russell along who released pant after pant.

"We can either do this the easy way….or the hard way".

She bit down on her lip, looking down at Russell who weakly gazed back up at her, "Neither". She barked, pulling out a pokeball and throwing it up.

"Noivern!" It screeched, landing protectively in front of the two trainers.

Her eyes sharpened, "We'll do it my way".

(Celestial/Troy/Frontiers)

"Give me the girl". He held his arm out, sparking Troy to step back and hold onto Celestial tighter.

"I already said no, I'm going to be the one who brings her to the queen!"

"Or, How about I take the girl and go find me the queen as well?" Heads turned to the direction of the new voice in presence.

A woman with long dark fiery red hair appeared before them, her eyes resembled those of a seviper, glistening a dark violet with a sniveling grin, both the frontiers and Troy had joined together, keeping a distance away from the older woman, "Look how peaceful she's sleeping".

"Who are you?!" Shouted Troy on the defense.

She took a step closer, holding her hand out towards them, "I don't have time for introductions, I'll be taking my goddaughter now".

"I don't think so". Answered Yun stepping forward.

"Yun!" The others gasped, horrified when the woman called out three Gyarados' onto the field, there roars piercing through each of their ears painfully.

"Foolish kid, do you really want to go up against me? I'll advise you to surrender her now…..or be the meal to my three pets".

"And I'll advise you to know some manners because I'm not on the menu". He reached behind, pulling out three pokeballs in his possession.

Eric watched in horror at the three Gyarados slithering around the Frontier King, eyeing him as if he was a piece of meat, "Don't do it Yun!"

"Michael…." He was slightly taken by surprise when the Joker joined him back to back.

"I got your back King! Let's make this quick!" He growled.

He nodded, now facing Troy who was startled by his cold gaze, "Take her, find the queen and make sure they stay away from harm's way, Victoria, Charlotte, Eric, go and protect them, that's an order!"

"Yes my king!" They nodded in compliance, now shielding Troy from both sides and from behind as they quickly took off, taking one final glance towards Michael and Yun who were being coiled by the serpents.

"Be safe you two".

(Luciana/Zero/Celebrant)

"Aaargghh!" She arched her back, cringing in an agonizing manner while releasing a loud growl.

"Luciana! Hang in there!" She was being looked after by Zero who stayed at her bedside, watching in horror at the Queen's reactions.

"Zero!" The doors had slammed wide open with a panting Celebrant standing wearily by the door.

He rushed in, joining the white haired boy by the bed where sweat was now trickling down the Queen, "W-what's going? What's wrong with the queen?!"

"I don't know, but her conditions getting worse, the nurse hasn't shown up and I haven't a clue what to do". He let out a rough sigh, watching helplessly as Luciana twisted and turned in her sleep.

"One". a vine shot up from the ground, coiling itself around Zero's neck.

"Huh!" it dragged him across the floor and pinned him up against the wall.

"Zero!"

"Two". a second vine shot up right behind Celebrant, doing the same exact thing except he was being suspended from the ceiling.

"G-gah! W-what the hell is this!" He gasped in between words, trying to free himself from the vine wrapped around his neck.

"Three". A third vine shot up right beneath from where Luciana was, coiling around her body and lifting her up, she was still unconscious.

"Luciana!" They watched as she was swallowed and trapped within a cocoon of petals.

"W-what is this!" Shouted both males, looking around the room where everything was being covered in vines and plants.

A menacing laugh echoed throughout the room, alerting both Celebrant and Zero who quickly took notice of it, "It can't be…."

The entire wall exploded and came crumbling down, leaving a shadow to form from behind and reveal itself, "I'm back". It sing sang.

"Ramona!"

Long black hair that was curled and tied into two high pigtails, green eyes that were drenched with insanity, and a conniving fanged smile that could drive anyone paralyzation , she was a returning demon being accompanied by a snickering Venasaur.

"Did you miss me?" She giggled, sending chills down their backs repeatedly.

"Not one bit". Spat Zero, coughing when the vine tightened itself further around his neck.

Celebrant's fists tightened, "What's the meaning of this Ramona!"

"I'm here to do what should have been done years ago".

(Dakota)

*Did I make a mistake? Does Celebrant hate me now?*

She shook her head, pressing both of her palms against her cheek in order to snap herself out of her own thoughts, "No, you're independent now Dakota, you have to be strong, you have to show Celebrant and all the other's that you're worthy of being an Elite".

"Luisss!" She was startled by the blood curdling scream, immediately putting her defenses up as she looked side to side.

"Somebody! Help me! Please!" She followed every echo, running as fast as she could until her feet came to a stop, her eyes widened and her heart began beating rapidly.

"Let me go!" She threw her head back, hitting the masked figure who groaned from the impact, releasing Anastasia who quickly parted away, now having a good distance from the figure.

She felt her feet go numb, she was completely frozen in place, frightened at what was happening in front of her, "Maybe a little spark will get you to come quietly".

It pulled out a retractable wand, pressing the red button on the side which forced a cringing spark of electricity to circulate around the device, it took one step forward, sparking Anastasia to step backwards.

"Hold her down". A gengar appeared by her side.

"Argh!" A dark hole appeared beneath her feet, swallowing her through to her ankle.

"N-ngh!" She tried pulling out but couldn't, finding herself stuck to the ground as if it were concrete holding her down.

"Now hold still". He placed the wand against her ribcage, laughing as a penetrating scream escaped her lips, she arched backwards, throwing her head back while scrunching her face and holding her side.

"Stop it!" She cried, screaming once more when he shocked her by her thigh, she lost control and dropped on one knee, still clutching her side where she could feel a scalding sensation burning through.

"If I were to shock you a third time, you might just have some permanent damage". He laughed over and over, enjoying the look of suffering on her face.

"Enough!"

They both turned over to Dakota who was still in place, her fists clenching to the point where they were a pale white, she took one step forward, breaking free from her paralysis.

His hand dropped to his side, now turning fully towards the young Elite who shot him a venomous glare, "You child…...you are a king…."

"A…..a king?" Murmured Anastasia weakly, having one eye open to stare at Dakota.

She pointed to the crest on her uniform blazer, "I'm also an Elite, and you're crossing very dangerous lines right now".

"What are you going to do about it?" His gengar appeared in front, looking as if it was ready to battle.

Her feet began giving in, her heart was racing dangerously, her veins were drowning in adrenaline, little by little her hand crept behind, "I'm…."

*I'm going to show you that even a princess doesn't always need a knight to protect her*

"I'm going to show you the real strength of the Bell Elite!"

Those words alone had given her enough to strength to pull through, the feeling of helplessness was no longer surging through her body, she quickly pulled out her pokeball, throwing it up into the air.

"Mismagius! It's time!"

*Most of my pokemon won't be effective against that gengar, Mismagius, you're my ultimate weapon right now*

"D-don't do it…..he-he's dangerous….…" she coughed into her hand, finding specks of fresh blood scattered over her palm.

Dakota shot her a faint smirk, "Yeah? Well that makes two of us".

(Hector/Iria)

*I shouldn't have let her out of my sight….…...Iria….*

"We got the girl! It's her!"

He heard something on the other side of the door, he kicked it wide open, startling the group of masked men who quickly looked back at him.

He paused when all the attention was directed onto him, they were huddled, hiding something in the center of their little group, one of them had moved slightly, giving just enough of a peep for Hector to notice that hair.

"Iria!" He ran in, being stopped by two figures who snatched him back by his arms, restraining the Rose Elite who kept pushing forward.

"Iria wake up!" She was unconscious in one of the men's arms, a dark bruise visible on her face.

Something triggered within him, he broke free from the men's grasp, kicking one of them aside only to be knocked down to the floor by the other.

"You bastards! What did you do to her! Huh!" He remained on the floor, shooting his head up towards the group with a deadly leer.

"Chain him, he's also a road guardian". One of them spoke, ordering the others to do as told.

"Let go! Augh!" He was restrained to the floor completely, being forced to have his arms behind where they were bound and cuffed with metal chains.

"W-why are you doing this?!"

"Stop talking!" He was kicked on the side, groaning from the agonizing impact.

"Iria! Wake up! Please!"

Her body twitched, she turned her head, groaning and mumbling as one of her eyes began parting, "H-hector? Is…..is that you?" She whimpered, scrunching her face when she felt the throbbing sensation in her head.

"Iria!" Her eyes shot wide open, staring up at the ceiling where she saw two figures come down rapidly.

She screamed when the masked figures beside her were knocked to the ground with just a single hit, the man holding her was thrown to the floor where she was now held into a new pair of arms, arms belonging to a certain someone who left her startled.

"Are you ok?" Mira rushed over to Hector, breaking the chains holding him down and freeing the Elite who rose up on his feet, staring questionably and hesitantly at the older male holding Iria.

She gasped, covering her mouth with one hand while cupping his cheek with the other, tears had begun streaming down, "It's you…" she whispered.

A grin formed on his lips, "It's me Iria…...I'm back".

"Ryder".

"Ryder?" Hector kept looking back and forth between the two, counting every second she remained in that man's arms.

(Rika/Mark)

They watched as students rushed out of the school, joining the others who were at the entrance gates, teachers formed groups while others ran back in to search for more students.

They went to the nearest teacher in sight, Christopher, "Hey professor". Asked Rika, grabbing the young man's attention.

"What exactly is going on?" Mark asked curiously.

He seemed bothered, as if he knew something but wasn't going to tell, "It's nothing you students should concern yourself with".

Rika pulled Mark away, whispering quietly to him so no one else could hear, "Something big is obviously going on, but what do you think it could be?"

"I don't know…." Shrugged Mark, looking back towards the gates with clenched fists.

"...but I'm going to find out". He quickly took off, dodging the professor who noticed and tried running after him and Rika.

"Stop! Both of you! Don't go inside!" They hurried past the gates, not bothering to look back when they heard the squeaking sound of the gates closing.

He grabbed onto the bars, watching in distress as both of the boys, along with everyone within school grounds were now trapped.

"Where do we go now?!" Shouted Rika through his panting.

"We find the Elites and Frontiers, they're the keys to all this mess".

(Meanwhile)

"We're surrounded!" Cried Rosebella, looking back and forth at the row of cloaked figures surrounding them.

"They're everywhere!" Eira looked up at the roof's of the buildings where some of them even stood.

Tyler stepped forward, "Who are you people?!"

He was joined by Leonardo and Ari, "And what do you want with us?!"

"We've come to collect the Kings and take them back to the tower".

"Kings?! What the hell are you talking about?" Shouted Blake, standing protectively in front of Rose who seemed worried about what was just said.

*K-kings? Do they mean road guardians? Mercy!*

Harvey's eyes settled into a cold glare, "You guys aren't taking anybody, now get lost before trouble stirs".

"Don't piss them off". Whimpered Levy, holding onto Leonard who didn't mind this one time, guarding the short haired girl as they were being huddle closer and closer.

"Too late". Mumbled Blake, holding onto the short blonde when the cloaked figures had released their pokemon.

"Hmph". Leonardo pulled out his pokeball, calling out Absol who immediately growled at it's opponents.
