"Celestial, this is Raven, a dragon master and the current champion of Unova, you may not remember her….but, she is your godmother".
"My….what?"
She stared up at the dark haired female, feeling somewhat intimidated by the woman's sharp toothed smile, all of her teeth were literally fangs, capable of tearing at flesh and possibly scraping through bone.
"You've grown into such a beautiful girl, the last time I ever saw you two was when I was watching your mother change your diapers". She shook hands with her, unable to avoid the fanged woman's piercing yellow eyes, she nearly felt frozen.
"You…...you knew my parents?" she still couldn't believe it, having doubts about how such a woman like this would come to know her mom and dad.
Xavier nodded, "Your mother and Raven weren't exactly close to begin with during the royals war, in fact, Raven was believed by some to be the next Storm King, she was really powerful, almost up there with your dad, after Blair saved Raven from being drawn to the darkness of her regalia, all the tensions seemed to fade away and they became the closest of friends, and then when you were born, Blair and Kingston asked Raven and Raiden to become your's and Luciana's godparents".
"I've heard so much about you Celestial, you're actually quite famous amongst us, many of the Kings see great potential in you and cannot wait to see you grow stronger in time".
"Thank….thank you, but most of this wouldn't have been accomplished if it were not for Xavier taking me in, he taught me everything I needed to know".
"Nonsense!" she slapped the dual haired girls arm, catching her off guard from her intense strength, "Xavier might have taught you several things, but it's up to you on how to utilize everything you've learned, and I have to say, you've done an impressive job so far".
Xavier chuckled, "She's incredible, isn't she? But then again, I expected nothing less from Blair and Kingston's own daughter".
Raven peeked over, seeing the disheartened look on Celestial's face as she stared down at the ground solemnly, "Say, where's Luciana ?" asked the dark haired woman, suddenly grabbing Celestial's attention on purpose.
He scratched his head nervously, "Well…...it's a complicated situation, initially, I wanted Luciana to be here too, but after an understanding, I have agreed to only take on Celestial".
"I see….." she got closer to the dual haired girl, placing her hands over the younger females shoulders as a means to comfort her, "I think I understand, and it may be difficult for you right now Celeste, but I promise you this, we will all help you find your parents, when news of their capture was heard, everyone was angry, your parents were important pillars to our society, all the Kings are doing there best to find them, Dawn's templar won't get away with this".
She placed her hand over Raven's, flashing her a tiny barely visible smile, "Thank you, I just hope it's not too late, I feel much more stronger than when I did on my first day here, but I still don't have that sense of readiness within me, I need to get stronger, much stronger, because if I might only ever have one shot at taking down Dawn's Templar, I want it to be the one shot that destroys them once and for all".
A frown appeared on the older female's lips, "Dawns Templar isn't just an organization you can take down on your own, you need the support of strong allies as well".
"Well, recently we've been recruiting some very interesting trainers, but Celestial just isn't satisfied with them".
"They're strong, but they don't have the desire to get stronger, If I'm taking over Crystal Genesis, my people need to have a desire to be the best, I need to feel the determination coming from there eyes and sense the aura of confidence shrouding them".
"Hm…" hummed the dark haired woman.
She jolted, startling Celestial by her sudden reaction, "I think I might have somebody who's perfect".
"Who?" asked Xavier, exchanging glances with Celestial who was also curious.
"He's a strong and powerful boy with the heart of a dragon, he's my successor actually, or should I say, the new Fang King".
"You finally stepped down then, huh". She nodded, releasing a content sigh.
"When I first laid eyes on him, I knew he was the one, the one who would take over my legacy in the fang road, I've never met a trainer like him".
A sudden spark of interest triggered within Celeste, "Who is he?"
"His name is Lukas, he's currently training under me in Unova while his little brother is out on his own Journey".
"Lukas huh…...I'd like to meet him if you don't mind".
That same fanged smile from earlier returned, "Not at all".
(Days later/ Unova Region/ Dragonspiral tower)
They stopped before crossing the bridge, staring up at the ancient building, "Here we are, Dragonspiral tower, this is where I've been having him train".
"What are you going to say to him?" asked the older male, staring over at Celestial who had her attention focused up ahead.
"Nothing, my battling will do the talking for me".
"You intend to battle him?" asked Raven, taken aback by Celestial's proposal.
"I trust that he is strong from what you've told me godmother, but to truly understand his power, I must face him myself".
"This will be interesting". chuckled Xavier, following the two girls from behind as they began crossing the bridge.
They paused upon entering, being surprised by the large explosion up on the top floor, they quickly rushed up the steps, hurrying over to the direction of the smoke where they came to find a tall boy with somewhat medium length platinum blonde hair, he had both his pokemon fighting against each other, a Haxorus and a Dragonite.
"Dragon rage!" he ordered, having Dragonite fly straight into Haxorus while being surrounded by a powerful flaming green essence.
"Stop Dragonite with Dragon Claw!" he shouted once more, having his Haxorus grab Dragonite who rammed itself against it, both of its claws extended out drastically, glowing red while forcefully taking over Dragonite who was pulled along and thrown against the wall roughly.
"Excellent job you two!" a giant grin was on his face, still being completely oblivious to the three's presence.
"Ahem". He turned his head back, laying his electrifying blue eyes onto them and finally taking notice of them, his grin only widened upon seeing Raven.
"Master!" he rushed right over, being followed by both of this pokemon who also seemed ecstatic to see the dark haired woman.
"I see your training is coming along just well". She was quickly surrounded by both pokemon from both sides, there cooes echoing out as she began rubbing and patting their heads.
He nodded, "I can see the improvement on all my pokemon, I…..I just still find it difficult to believe that this is reality…...me training under Unova's champion….me being chosen to become a king…...it's all so surreal, yet also a blessing, I never imagined finding myself in such a position".
"He's certainly humble". Mumbled Celestial, being nudged by Xavier who made her move more forward, automatically grabbing the blonde haired male's attention.
His eyes widened, cheeks burning intensely as he kept staring, "If you stare any longer at my goddaughter I might assume that you want to date her".
He covered his face, hiding his red cheeks in the process, "W-what?! N-no! It's just…..she's…...she's really beautiful…...I've never seen anyone like her before".
She quickly looked away, hoping to hide the small pink tint on her face, "Don't say such embarrassing things".
Raven laughed, "I'm only kidding, Lukas, meet Celestial".
"H-hi". He held his hand out towards her, she hesitantly took it, quickly shaking it and then releasing as he did the same.
"The name's Xavier, nice to meet you!" he grabbed Lukas's hand, greeting the blonde haired boy with a smile.
"What brings you back so early? I thought you wouldn't be back for another few days".
"I came back because of Celestial, she actually has something she needs to talk to you about".
"Me?" he pointed at himself in surprise.
"Yes, um…...Raven, Xavier, would you please leave us alone?"
They complied with her request, stopping shortly only to snicker, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do". Smirked Raven, causing both of them to blush and angrily stare back at her.
"Kidding!" she giggled, making her exit with Xavier as they left the two of them alone.
"What…...what do you want to talk to me about?" He began scratching his head nervously, still trying to figure out what she would need to discuss with him.
"Actually, I'd prefer to save this talk for after our battle".
"Battle"? He gaped.
She pulled out a pokeball, releasing the pokemon upon command, "Salamence!"
"W-wait…..then why did you ask them to lea-"
"Those two can be quite distracting, I need this battle to be focused and in just solitude, so what do you say, feel like battling someone else other than yourself?"
He was startled by how quickly her salamence had sparked a rivalry with his dragon pokemon, all three of them exchanging venomous leers.
She saw how quickly his personality changed, all sense of anxiety was gone, instead there was a more heavy atmosphere around them, his eyes turned more darker and became sharp only on her, "It really only seems like I have no choice, do I?"
"Seems about it". She smirked, striking her hand forward.
"Go!" they both shouted.
"What do you think she's telling him right now?" asked Xavier, folding his arms as he stared up, hoping to catch a glimpse of either teen from the opening up above.
"Dragonite!" it shot through the stone walls, now hovering in the air as it shook off the impact it took from hitting through and racing back in, a series of growls bellowing from within.
"There's your answer". Responded Raven.
(Yun and Michael)
"Start talking, who sent you here?"
She giggled in a menacing tone, "I'll never tell, my lips are sealed!"
Michael watched, feeling unsettled by how she was being bound and held up by the shadows Yun's pokemon summoned, her body nearly hanging several feet above into the air.
"Why are you after Celestial, what's your business with her?"
She said nothing, her eyes only settling towards the sky where she let the sunlight burn through her pupil, not a single sound left her mouth.
"She was stubborn then, and she's stubborn now, you're wasting your time, she will never talk". They quickly looked back, finding Christopher approaching them.
"You know this crazy woman?" asked Yun, settling a dark gaze on the instructor.
"I do". He nodded, signaling Gengar to lower the redhead who actually complied, surprising Yun and Michael from it's obedient manner.
He made sure to grab her firmly with one arm as she began squirming to break free, but he pulled out a small needle and syringe, injecting the redhead's neck with the clear fluid, her eyes began fluttering, closing down fully as she became instantly unconscious.
"W-what did you do to her?" asked Michael, hoping it wasn't what he thought it was.
"She's sleeping, she won't be waking up anytime soon I'll assure you that".
Yun approached him, recalling back his pokemon, "How do you know her?"
They laid there eyes down on the older female in Christopher's arms, "She didn't lie, she really is Celestial's godmother".
His head quickly shifted upwards, facing the older man who was nothing more than serious, "What did you say?"
"Her name is Raven…..she was the original Fang king, the master of the dragon road". He stroked her face, combing through her long red hair.
"Her hair was as black as the night sky…they changed her…...".
"Who did?"
"Dawn's templar….not too long ago, there was an attack on the Unova pokemon league…...the other Elite four members escaped, however Raven stayed to fight….that was the last anyone ever heard of her, but now…..she's here, in front of me, but they have completely poisoned her".
Yun sighed, "They must have gotten to her to try to use her to find Celestial's whereabouts".
Michael scoffed, "Well it worked, because now the entire school is in chaos".
"You two need to find Celestial and Luciana and make sure they're ok, leave Raven to me, I'll try to reverse the damage of her brainwash".
They both nodded, ready to take off only for Christopher to stop Yun, "What". He asked coldly.
"Protect her Yun….I know I couldn't, but I know you can".
He said nothing in return, rather instead just flashing those same cold eyes one last time before leaving with Michael.
(Troy/ Celebrant/ Celestial)
"...One….." a large mysterious sound rang through everyone's ears, it was followed by the blinding white light released from the silver halo hovering above Celebrant and Luciana.
There were constant images of unfamiliar people and some people who they came to know who were being shown through the light, it was as if they had been placed within another world, everything around them from before was no longer there, they were just surrounded by a white light and the continuous flashing images.
"Locating Seventeen roads, seventeen kings….Celestial Valdis, Tempest Road Guardian".
An enlarged image of Celestial appeared before everyone, followed by one of Celebrant and then several others, "Celebrant Sanders, Thunder Road Guardian, Mika Etoile, Solar Road Guardian, Hector Manuel, Flame road Guardian, Dakota Malone, Rumble Road Guardian, Anastasia Baltimore, Shadow road Guardian, Ryder Blackthorne, Gem Road Guardian, Eira Xue, Ha-"
A series of large vines sprouted from below, forcing Celebrant to stumble back and fall on the ground, still holding on to Luciana, "...Russell Fringe, G-" she kept going, being unaffected by the constant interruptions.
Celestials eyes widened at what she was able to hear, she was thrown back against the wall by a vine, grunting heavily from the impact as Troy rushed to her side, "Celestial!"
"I will not be ignored!" shouted Ramona, she stretched her arms out to her sides, lifting them slowly further and further up where she summoned more vines.
"Celebrant run!" shouted Zero, holding back the monstrous vines with Beedrill by his side.
He took off without hesitation, dodging as many of the vines as he could, the way they pierced back into the ground made his heart race, "Uwah!" he was lifted off the ground when one of them sprouted out below, making the blonde haired boy slip and fall forward, releasing his grip on Luciana as they were both now falling.
"No!" both Celestial and Troy ran after them, attempting to catch them from above.
A giant flower had shot up, sprouting it's petals open to where Luciana had landed, being trapped in the center as the flower closed back up.
Ramona had appeared again, standing over her Venusaur who summoned a group of giant sized flowers from below the earth, "And the Queen is mine!" She laughed, mocking both Celestial and Zero.
"Stop!" Zero jumped, using the last of his energy to grab a hold of the vine only to be whipped back by Venusaur's vine whip, "Augh!"
"Zero!" Celebrant landed over one of the vines, rolling all the way down towards the ground where he quickly shot up and chased after him, gasping as the white haired boy crashed against the beedrill who used itself as a cushion, both of them now colliding against the ground.
He stopped when he saw the intense damage done on the concrete floor, Zero was unconscious on the ground while the beedrill who caught him was slowly fading away.
"Game over!" The pink mist and blizzard of flowers from before had returned, blocking and clouding everyone's view of Ramona and her pokemon, there heads quickly whipped back to the white haired boy who was sinking into the ground, being swallowed by a bundle of vines who dragged him down into the earth.
"Queen! Zero!" Celebrant coughed heavily, holding back his breath as to not breathe in the pink fog.
Anger clouded her mind, the more her hand stretched further it felt like she only got farther, it's as if they had ripped a piece from her, "Lucianaaaaaaaa!"
"Celeste!" he ran after her, grabbing the dual haired girl by the waist to hold her back while she flailed around to evade him.
"Let me go!"
The echoes of Ramona's laughs danced through the fading mist, imprinting itself on everybody's minds when they no longer had a view of Ramona and Luciana, they were gone this time, certain of no return.
He threw himself back, landing roughly on the ground with Celeste leaning on him, still trapped by his gripping arms, "No! She's gone!"
She had suddenly stopped, grasping Troy's words and finalizing when Luciana was nowhere to be seen, "S-she's…...g-gone…..she's really gone….." her waist no longer felt tight from his grip, he let her go, allowing Celeste to sit quietly on the ground.
The sound of several footsteps could be heard approaching them, both Yun and Michael had appeared, stopping immediately when they saw how torn the place had been left in, "What the hell happened in here?" gaped Michael, not knowing where to start, the large dead vines, or the broken walls, or the missing ceiling?
The Frontier king stared at the Troy who was standing behind Celestial's sitting figure, his eyes building coldly as he shifted his attention quickly to the sky, a single pink flower petal descending down onto his palm, "Get up". His tone was far from being warm and kind toned.
Troy quickly spun back, furrowing his brows and not liking Yun's attitude, "H-hey, relax man can't you see-"
Yun walked past him, completely ignoring Troy and standing over Celeste who stared up at him, voidless eyes meeting merciless ones, "Didn't you hear me? I said get up".
"And didn't you hear me-" Celebrant stopped Troy from continuing further, grabbing him by the shoulder and then shaking his head, gesturing him to keep out of it.
"What are you doing here….." no emotion detected behind her words.
He folded his arms, eyes turning more colder, "I didn't waste my effort and time to hold off that pathetic redhead who wanted to come and claim you for nothing, now get up and stop sulking".
"I'm not sulking". She hissed, looking away from Yun who scowled in response.
"Pathetic". Troy and Celebrant's eyes widened from how quick her head snapped back to the frontier King.
"What did you call me?" She got up, now coming somewhat close to facing him (he's taller).
"You heard me". Not a hint of intimidation detected.
"How about you say it once more".
"What do we do?" whispered Troy, now worrying as he saw the brutal tension exchanging between Yun and Celestial's eyes.
"We must not get involved, this matter is between them only".
"You're still the same little weak girl from before". A smirk formed on his lips.
Something had triggered within Celeste, she swung her fist towards him, pressing down on her teeth forcefully when he caught her hand within his own, just a few inches separating them, "I never asked you to help me". Her words seethed out venomously.
"I know". He responded, still staring into her eyes as she did the same, suddenly softening her expression when he said that.
Her words came out into a soft whisper, "I'm not weak, I never will be".
His eyes sharpened even more, "Prove it".
Michael looked away, finding no interest between the two only to remember Troy who was beside them, something automatically clicked, where were the others?
He quickly rushed up, grabbing Troy's shoulder and grabbing his attention.
"Where are the others?!" Michael shouted, he grabbed his collar this time, pulling him in.
"W-what?" he was being shoved further and further back, eventually growing irritated by Michael's antics.
He did the same in return, defending himself as a nasty leer resided on his eyes, "I don't know! One by one they stayed behind to hold off the group of men chasing after us".
A grunt escaped his lips when he pushed the male away, "Yun!"
The King calmly looked over to Michael, "I have to go, I have to make sure they're all ok".
He said nothing, but gave only a small nod as a means of approval, watching as the Joker took off.
His eyes turned back over to the dual eyed female, "So what will it be Celestial….".
"Since when did you start caring". She still couldn't find reason as to why he was acting this way.
A shrug of his shoulders gave the answer, "I don't care, but it irritates me when someone thinks big of themselves, yet get thrown down easily by a simple mishap, are you that type?"
She said nothing to him this time, but instead focused her attention over to Celebrant and Troy, eyes building with fire and determination, "We have work to do".
A simple smirk formed on Yun's lips the exact moment he heard those words.
(Mercy/Russell)
An eerie sensation began wavering in her chest, "Celestial…..She needs me".
"H-how did you do that?"
"I may be Celestial's friend, but I am also her protector, we have a sacred contract together".
"Sacred…...contract?" He looked puzzled, not knowing what she meant by that.
She nodded, pulling down the collar of her shirt which sparked a massive red tint to appear on Russell's cheeks, "W-what are you doing?!" He covered his face, looking away in embarrassment to which Mercy was oblivious to now, not knowing her actions would have such an effect.
"This….." She began, grabbing his attention to where he laid his eyes on the black symbol imprinted on the center of her chest, two diamonds intersecting sideways.
"...this is the mark that bounds me and Celestial, when a King refuses to take part in the royals war, they can be claimed by another King for assistance, meaning I have no right to participate in the war anymore for myself, instead, I must aid the person who has contracted me. At first, Celestial didn't want to contract me, she was confident in destroying the tower, but I wanted her to do it, I pleaded her to…...because sometimes fate can play with you".
"You're her soldier…..her servant…..". He whispered, looking away in a staggered manner.
"If Celestial fails to stop the tower before all the Kings are awakened, I will be ready to fight for her right to the throne as ruler of all ".
A frown appeared on him, *When will you stop thinking about others and help yourself….Mercy.*
She grabbed his hand, snapping him out of his thoughts as she dragged him along, "C'mon we have to find a way back".
(Victoria)
She began laughing, enjoying the fearful expression on her opponent's face, "You idiots really picked the wrong type of students to mess with".
The whirlpool broke apart on her command, leaving Rhyperior to drop roughly from the air and pummel straight into the ground, "No!"
"Who sent you here!?" she demanded, pointing the tritan at his stiffened body.
"I-it's none of your business!" he growled, taking a step back when she rose the tritan up.
"Then I'll force the words to come out of your lips".
His head whipped up to the darkening sky, heavy clouds began forming with the roars of thunder erupting from within, her Empoleon's eyes were a clear white while electricity began generating around the important staff piece she held.
"W-what is that?" he asked, taking a few more steps back.
"The shock of your life, that's what".
"Agh!" she whipped the gold staff towards him, sending a terrifyingly destructive thunderbolt towards his direction.
"Victoria!"
The man quickly covered his head with his arms, taking cover from the thunderbolt only to be shielded by a Feraligatr who took on the electric attack head on, not a single growl of agony or pain came out of its mouth, in fact, it seemed unaffected by it.
"Stop it!" Michael snuck up behind the young Frontier, snatching the tritan away from her as she elbowed his gut, escaping his grasp with a scowl.
"What did you do that for!" he snarled, holding up the tritan so she wouldn't take it back.
"Why did you interfere!" she countered, hitting him in the knee this time.
"Because you could've killed him!"
"No! I was trying to get him to talk you moron!"
"I….I'm sorry…" they stopped arguing, now turning over to the man who was on his knees, they could see how badly he was trembling, nearly almost in tears.
Victoria's expression remained cold and unconvinced, "Sorry isn't enough, look at the damage you and your freakshow of a pals have done to our school, if it were up to me, I'd have you fried in an instant".
Michael sighed, returning the tritan back to Empoleon while shaking his head down at the short haired girl, "Stop it, You're not a monster Victoria, you should have handled this in a better manner".
"I don't need you to tell me what I am and am not".
"I know my apology means nothing…" they turned back to the man again.
He lowered his head, still trembling uncontrollably, "...b-but right now your friend is in trouble, you can still save her".
They looked at each other, eyes widening when they realized who he meant, "Charlotte!"
"Where is she!" Michael grabbed the man by his shirt, pulling him up forcefully only to have him faint as the scare was too much, "We have to save her!" he took off with Victoria and there pokemon.
(Charlotte)
"Razor wind!" Shouted the frontier, gripping her hands together when she saw how badly beaten Absol was.
*Those bastards are lucky I can't call my other pokemon out, that rotom really did the trick on my pokeballs, impressive, but also bad, ugh*
"Ab!" it whipped its head to the side, creating a vicious storm of winds which threw back all of it's opponents.
One of the masked figures held their hand out towards Charlotte, "You're out of luck kid, it's four against one, you can't beat us, just come quietly and it will all be over with".
"Never! Absol use perish song!"
It released an eerie and cringing melody into the air, surrounding its opponent's with crimson waves which they unknowingly were struck with.
"Smart kid, but it'll never work with us". They ordered all of their pokemon to attack on the dark type, each taking there turn on beating it.
"Absol!" the club couldn't stand to watch anymore, now jumping in and protecting Absol who could only stand by one side of it's body at that point, it whimpered as it watched charlotte be thrown to the ground by one of the pokemon's heabutt's.
"N-gh…" she got back up, still shielding Absol who bit down on its trainers shirt, pulling the frontier back away to receive the next hit instead.
"Stop it Absol!" it was protecting her this time, taking on attack after attack, ignoring Charlotte's pleading cries and tears.
*At times like this…...what do I do…..what can anyone do…..my pokemon can't stand anymore…..I'm useless…..I need help…..I need a miracle right now*
A flamethrower struck down on Absol, sparking Charlotte to run and embrace Absol, allowing her back to be inflicted by the fire attack.
There laughs rung through the Frontier's ears, but they quickly stopped, being followed by a gasp, "W-what the hell?! Who are you people?!"
A black ring encrypted with unusual symbols appeared largely around Charlotte and Absol who looked back, seeing three figures in black and silver cloaks standing in front of them.
One of the figures moved slightly towards Charlotte, there face shielded completely, the only hint was there voice, a male voice, "Are you ok?"
"Y-yes….b-but who are you?"
"You asked for help, didn't you?" the second cloaked figure said, also a male's.
The third voice spoke up, being a female this time, "In a time of ultimate sacrifice, that is when we will come, we are the last resort to any Frontier's trouble's".
Charlotte was speechless, being amazed by how the three figures took off, using attacks just like pokemon to take on the invaders, "A-amazing…" the words had breathed out from the frontier's mouth.
"Charlotte!" she looked back, a relieved smile forming on her lips when she saw Michael and Victoria.
One by one the three mysterious figures had disappeared, leaving the club holder to wonder who they were.
"Michael! Victoria!" he got on his knees, grabbing the frontier by her shoulders only to see how the back of her uniform was completely burnt off, scorching wounds still burning on her skin from earlier.
"What did they do to you!"
"You're all dead!" snapped Victoria, sending out Empoleon to whip up a massive Whirlpool.
All of their enemies pokemon were swept up by the cyclone, now trapped within where they were inflicted by the red beam of energy which shot down, striking on every pokemon who was present earlier, including Charlotte's Absol, each of them fainting simultaneously.
"We've wasted too much time here!" one of them shouted, recalling its pokemon along with the others and sending out a braviary.
"Get her!"
"Augh!" Michael was kicked back by one of the figures who teleported beside them, avoiding Feraligatr's attempt at grabbing them and then placing a small square device near Charlotte.
"Huh?!" it exploded, clouding the short haired frontier who was then trapped within a glass container that had formed around her through the explosion.
"Michael! Victoria!" she kept banging on the walls, stopping shortly when a bright flash appeared from within, leaving both frontiers in massive shock from what they came to see next.
"Charlooootteee!" her entire body had been turned solid gold, she was a lifeless statue.
He pressed down on his teeth, not caring when it felt as if they would shatter from the pressure, "You bastards! What did you do?!"
Both him and Victoria were thrown back when Braviary swooped in, grabbing the container holding Charlotte and soaring up towards the sky.
One of the females had laughed, "Don't worry, this is only to stop the prisoner from shaking the container, sometimes our Braviary can get frightened and drop the shipment, wouldn't that be a messy fall".
"C-charlotte". Mumbled Victoria, unable to stand the sight of her comrade's frozen hard figure, she wasn't alive at that moment, just an object.
"Ta ta". The same female had jumped on the flying types back, taking off with Charlotte while the rest disappeared through teleportation.
"Michael….." Victoria reached her hand out, hesitant to grab Michael's shoulder when he had his back towards her.
"I'm going to kill them all….I swear on it….". She pulled her hand back, seeing his fists tightening in a brutal manner.
He began walking ahead, "We have to reunite with the others, let's go".
"Okay…." she complied, preferring to not say anything but rather just go along with it.
(Mika/Albert)
"Are you ok?"
She kept mumbling, having difficulty on getting up, "Where am I?"
"It's fine….you're safe now, I found you here unconscious".
Her eyes shot open, she quickly sat up, gasping out his name, "Eric!"
"The Shield Frontier?" he asked, confused on why she would react like that.
"I have to find him!" she hurried up, taking off only to be held back by Albert.
"It's too dangerous, you can't go back over there".
"I have to! He gave himself up for me and my pokemon! That idiot!" he felt her arm trembling, quickly taking notice that her whole body was, a tiny whimper was heard coming from her.
"T-that idiot…...h-he did it all for…..for me…" his grip on her arm was gone, he had let go.
She looked back at him, not caring about showing the tears streaming down her face, "I should have been the one to protect him…..it's always because of me that he's getting hurt…..I'm a nuisance….I'm a curse…..why…" She closed her eyes, shutting them tightly when she threw her head back, bellowing out loud towards the sky.
He watched it all, not a reaction to be detected, "Go…...go save him".
Her chest rose up when she took in a deep breath, regaining her composure while wiping her tears away, "Eric…..".
They both looked over, seeing the massive clouds of smoke rising up to the sky, "Gardevoir, can you detect Eric's presence nearby".
A pink wave of energy was released from the psychic type, rushing all across the area where it faded, she shook her head towards Mika who frowned, "He's gone….they took him away from the school".
"What are you going to do now?" asked Albert, still with a blank expression.
"I won't give up, He promised we'll find each other again, and that's what I'll make sure to do". She shot her hand towards Gardevoir.
"Future sight!"
"Garde-" a white flaming link of energy shot out from the pokemons chest and struck directly into Mika's, startling Albert who saw the white line connecting both her and her pokemon.
"W-what are you doing?!"
"I'm using Gardevoirs attack to tell me the future events that are to happen in just a few seconds, it should give me a clue to Eric's whereabouts".
"B-but how is this possible? It's an attack move!"
"True, but as a guardian to the Solar road, I have manipulation over all Fairy types and their moves, therefore I can turn my pokemon's future sight into an actual tool for seeing into the future, however, my powers are limited right now since I don't….I don't have my regalia".
He quickly looked away, although she had her eyes closed and was focused only forward, he still felt something unsettling within, "That's incredible, really".
*Please…...please show me where Eric is, help me find him*
"Ngh!" her brows were furrowed and her face was scrunching, there were too many images flashing rapidly within her mind, familiar faces of students and her friends also appearing, "Everyone's in danger….I can see it, so much destruction…"
*Mika! Sinnoh! Help them!*
Her eyes pierced open, the white glow within them was fading away, "I saw it! He talked to me!"
The link of energy had disappeared, leaving Mika to stumble and land in the arms of Albert who caught her, she felt dizzy and weak, but sighed in relief, "I saw him…...he said he's in sinnoh! I have to go rescue him"!
"You can't go alone". He grabbed her back, a wave of uneasiness washed over him when she gave him a menacing leer.
"That's my best friend out there, He'd travel hell and back for me, and that's what I'll do for him….I'm going". She pulled herself back, grunting quietly to herself.
"Then I'll go with you". Her head whipped back to him in shock.
He nodded, walking past Mika with a blank expression, "Lead the way".
(Meanwhile)
"The Pledge queen…..she's also known as the mother of all roads, but only one person stands above her, and that is the Storm King, the most powerful road guardian, the conqueror of the tower".
"Who would the Pledge Queen be?" asked Rosebella, looking over at Leonard who was just as clueless.
Karen sighed, throwing her head back in dismay as Tyler tried comforting her, "I don't know, but they said she resided in this school, that's why we came".
"Aha!" a stormy gust blew at them, crushing and breaking all the trees around them in half, allowing for the group to now be in plain sight.
"A traitor!" one of the masked men shouted, pointing down at Karen who was protectively shielded by Tyler.
"Leave us alone!" pleaded Levy, angrily holding back her tears as they were all quickly surrounded by a group of their enemies pokemon.
"Not until we get the job done" they responded back, commanding all of their pokemon to strike at them at once.
"Quick!" ordered Ari, pulling out his pokeball and sparking the others to do so only to have them combust as a Rotom surged through each and every device.
"My pokeballs!" smoke was now rising out from them while tiny sparks were beginning to roam across them.
"W-what do we do guys?" whimpered Rosebella, holding tightly to Blake who embraced her.
"Salamence!" they were thrown off by the disturbing roar echoing through the sky, a large shadow appeared over them, forcing them to look up with frightened eyes.
"Draco meteor!"
A giant orb glowing with an orange light had been shot up into the air, exploding and releasing multiple large meteors shrouded in a rainbow hue.
"Everyone take cover!" Tyler and the others ran back to shield themselves behind the broken pile of trees while the cloaked invaders were protected by their pokemon who fired back there own attacks.
"It's them!" they pointed up to the roof of a distant building where four figures stood.
Troy's smirk had become menacing, "That's right you bastards!"
Celebrant stared down at them, an icy leer washing over his eyes, "Sorry to break your little party, but no outsiders allowed".
Yun's eyes were unavoidable, "You ruined Champion's, and for that, punishment must be displayed".
"Yun!" Victoria and Michael had just arrived upon seeing Draco meteor moments prior.
"Humph!" they jumped off, landing feet first on the ground as they were quickly approached by the remaining group of cloaked figures.
"Let me". Troy stepped forward, throwing up a pokeball and releasing the vicious dragon pokemon from within.
"Garchomp! Use earth power!"
It screeched out a terrifying roar, striking both of it's blades down onto the ground, creating twin cracks which had grown increasingly large and released a glowing gold light.
"Agh!" all of the figures including their pokemon were blown back, skidding against the ground roughly from the powerful explosion.
"Attack them!" they shouted, commanding all of their pokemon to strike at the same time, shooting multiple fire, ice, and electric types.
"Look out!" gasped Levy and Rosebella, frozen still as the attacks were aiming out towards every direction, intending to hit everyone at once.
"Flygon! Use sandstorm!" it released a thin cyclone of dust from it's tail to counter against the attacks, but it proved to fail as it was easily destroyed.
"Alright Garchomp! Dragon pulse!"
"Help him out Salamence!"
They both sided with one another, releasing twin dragon essences to take on the multiple attacks, instantly destroying them and striking the pokemon who had fired the moves, knocking them out automatically.
"Ahhhhhhh!" their heads whipped over to the others.
"Stop those attacks!" they all flinched, closing up their eyes and huddling together as they waited for the agonizing feeling which never came.
Valentine had teleported before the group along with Mark and Rika at her sides, both Gothitelle and Gardevoir had worked together to stop the attacks from coming any closer.
"Send them right back!" she shouted, having every Fire, Ice, and Electric attack strike back towards their opponents.
"We need to keep them from leaving". Shouted Celestial.
"I can help with that!" shouted Anastasia, arriving with Luis' help, she shot her hand forward, throwing out a pokeball.
"Aurorus! Use Freeze shock!"
The giant prehistoric pokemon had appeared with a large roar echoing through the air, A light blue beam of light was shot up into the air, being outlined with a darker blue glow as it split into several rays of light which began raining over the group of attackers.
"Gothitelle! Gardevoir! Use your Psychic to give them a boost!" ordered Valentine, commanding her pokemon to make the blue rays of light now strike down and surround their opponents in a large blue sphere of ice, they could see clearly through it, witnessing a massive blizzard combined with blue electricity form from within, resembling almost like a snow globe.
One by one they were being frozen solid, becoming ice sculptures along with their pokemon, "They're doing it!" gawked Rosebella, being amazed by the three pokemon's abilities.
The last person had been solidified, allowing for the three psychics to destroy the giant ice sphere, "Excellent job!" grinned Valentine.
"Are you guys ok?" asked Mark, looking back at the others who nodded.
Blake sighed in relief, "Yeah, thanks to you guys".
"Celestial!" everyone looked over at the triplets who appeared, now hurrying over to them.
She saw how disheveled they look, torn uniforms and bruising all over, "Mason, Maori, Maddox, what happened to you guys?"
"We were ambushed by a bunch of these masked figures, there were too many of them! Argh!" Mason growled underneath, punching the side of the wall in fury.
Luis quickly rushed over, recognizing the three figures as the friends Keilani came to 'know', he grabbed Maori by his collar, shoving him against the wall which nearly cracked from the aura guardian's force, "Where is she?!"
"Calm down!" ordered Celestial, both Celebrant and Michael pulled Luis back, restraining him from hitting any of the triplets.
"Where's Keilani!" he demanded.
Maddox shook his head in dismay, "They took her, we tried our best to stop them but it was too much".
Maori nodded, "It was like a whole army was up against us, we couldn't fight with only one pokemon each, they damaged our pokeballs and quickly began ambushing us with multiple attacks at once".
He had finally calmed down, allowing both Michael and Celebrant to let him go as he dropped on the floor, now sitting on the grass with his elbows on his knees, shielding his face in between, "I…..I can't believe…...they took her…..she's gone…"
"L-luis….." Anastasia knelt down beside him, frowning as he refused to look at her.
Victoria couldn't take it anymore, she whistled out loudly to quiet everyone down, "The school is completely in ruins, what the hell is going on, we need answers now!"
"U-um…..we might be able to fill you in on that". They looked over, seeing Valentine and Karen walking over to them with the rest of their group.
"You…." Celestial exchanged eye contact with Valentine who stopped right when she saw the dual haired girl.
"Who might you be?" asked Celeste.
(Moments Later)
Everything became silent when Karen had finished speaking, they all turned to Celestial who folded her arms, staring up at the sky with sharp eyes.
"So that's it then…...they're going to use Luciana to rewrite the order of Kings and awaken the tower, it's worser than I thought".
"W-what are we going to do?" asked Valentine.
"Some of us have to stay and guard the school, the rest of us will go and rescue the students who were captured, got it?" everyone began exchanging words, talking amongst each other from Celestial's plan.
"I'm going". Troy looked at the dual haired girl, staring her firm in the eyes.
"Me too". She turned over to Celebrant who looked at her the same way.
"Alright, Troy and Celebrant will come with me, who else?"
A loud roar had screeched over them, followed by a large shadow which attracted everyone's eyes upwards, catching a glimpse of Mercy and Russell's falling figures. "I'll go!" shouted the bluenette, landing with a roll alongside Russell who was suddenly nauseous and dizzy, being helped up by Troy and Tyler who rushed to his aid.
"Who else?" announced Celeste.
"I will". Yun went over to her side, leaving the others surprised by it.
"M-me too….." Karen began approaching them, being stopped shortly when Tyler grabbed her back.
"You can't! Those monsters will keep using you for there own dirty tricks!"
"He's right". They both looked back at the Celestial, Celebrant nodded with her answer.
"Karen, you must stay here and watch over the imprisoned soldiers, you're the only one who will be able to handle them if something goes wrong, you know there moves more than anyone here, leave this to us, I'll make sure to handle Dawn's Templar…... pretty soon you'll be free".
She remained silent, gazing around at everyone and then back at Tyler who gave her a soft stare, almost disheartened, she sighed, "Do you mean it?"
She felt some assurance behind Celestial's nod, "I do".
"Who else?" announced Yun.
Luis rose his hand up from below, still sitting on the ground as he was being stopped by Anastasia but to no avail, "Those bastards have Keilani, no way in hell I'm going to stand around here and sulk".
"W-wait….." Celebrant interrupted, "...Where's Dakota?"
Everyone looked around, shrugging as they had zero information on her whereabouts, Anastasia sighed, unable to face Celebrant whose expression quickly worried, "She…..she was taken".
"What?!" he looked at Luis who confirmed with a nod, though the expression on the goateed boy was less than worrisome, enough to make Celebrant burn with anger as he yanked the aura guardian in by his collar, "How could you let them take her!"
"I did my best!" he growled, shoving the Ace back with a glare.
"Your best wasn't enough!" he began pacing around, running his hand through his hair over and over.
Celestial stepped in between them, grabbing the Ace Elite by his shoulder, "Calm down you two, this is no time to be fighting".
He stopped, now turning back to face the two of them, "How did this happen? Who took her?"
Anastasia and Luis looked at each other, both of them now frowning.
(Flashback)
"Let me take care of him". An entire row of ground type pokemon had faintly appeared behind the young Elite, roaring simultaneously which frightened the man under Luis's grasp.
"W-what is she doing?! Get her to stop!"
Anastasia couldn't look away, being left speechless by Dakota's power, "Incredible….she summoned nearly an entire team of her ancients".
"If you don't start talking, I'll have all my friends here tear you to shreds, pretty soon you'll be sleeping six feet under".
"Impressive at your age, but you still have no control over your ancients". Luis was blasted away with his Lucario by a powerful white combustion of energy, she followed the length of the attack, leading it all the way back to Ryder who appeared, having Iria resting over on his metagross.
Anastasia gasped, quickly taking notice of his regalia, "He's a king as well…."
"Who are you?!" demanded Dakota, lifting her defenses up when Ryder quickly stepped over the man who attacked her earlier.
"Useless fool, you can't even capture a simple girl, what do we have you around for?"
"I-i'm sorry". He was shaking under Ryder's devil like glare, a glare which quickly shifted over to Dakota.
"The rumble queen….so you are the road guardian I rival with". He snapped his fingers, having a black hole appear behind him, a Cradily embedded with black markings emerged out of it, causing Dakota's skin to crawl at the fearful sight of the fossilized pokemon.
"W-what are you talking about".
He took a few steps towards her, scooping up the tiny pebbles from the floor, "You and I share a similar road, you control what is below the earth, meanwhile I control what roams above it, it's been something that has been bothering me for quite a while, in fact, I always believed I was capable of controlling both, there really is no need for the rumble queen".
Fear continued growing in her eyes when she saw his pupils shape into a diamond form, "You….you're the Sand King…".
"And pretty soon, I'll be the Rumble road's guardian".
A screeching cry escaped Cradily's lips, being used to summon multiple large stone walls from the ground, separating Dakota from the other's who were entrapped in a large maze.
"Anastasia!" shouted Luis, waiting for a response, but instead came the shrieks of Dakota.
"Luis!" he followed the waves of her sound, using Lucario to blast holes through the walls.
"Argh!" he struck his palm forward, hitting the stone wall where he was able to break through it with his aura, rushing over to an injured Anastasia who was on the other side of it.
He picked her up into his arms, looking around only to see Ryder, and the others gone, "Where is she?!"
The frown on her lips deepened, "T-they took her…..Both of them, they just dragged her out of here and I couldn't do anything….."
"It wasn't your fault, you're hurt, the most important thing now is to find help".
(Flashback End)
"So that's it…." he let out another sigh, a much deeper and heftier one.
"We're going to get her back, and everyone else". Troy reassured him, exchanging a small grin with Celebrant who nodded, feeling overwhelmed as he kept wondering if Dakota was alright.
Celestial shook her head, facing down on the ground in thought, "I should have known Ryder would be with Dawn's templar".
"Stick with the plan, who else is coming "? Spoke out the Frontier King.
Valentine went over to there side, "I will, I can lead you all to our exact headquarters".
The others had exchanged glances, "None of us can go, our pokeballs were damaged by a rotom, we can't summon any of our pokemon". Levy frowned, pulling out her pokeballs with the others, smoke was still rising out of them.
Ari had walked over, still holding an injured Eira in his arms, "Plus, we need to figure out where the nurse is, Eira's still badly injured and she needs immediate care".
Mark and Rika both raised their hands up, "We think we can help".
"How?" asked Tyler.
Mark grabbed one of the damaged pokeballs from Rosebella's hands, inspecting it closely, "I can easily fix all of your pokeballs, I just need to get to one of the labs, most of the tools I need are in there, it should only take me a couple of hours".
Rika approached Ari and Eira who was still unconscious in his arms, he inched closer down to the injured girl, inspecting her as well, "I can tend to her wounds and injuries, we'll just need to head over to the infirmary and of course I'll be needing someone to fetch me some items, if everything goes accordingly, I can get rid of her paralysis and burns without so much as leaving a scar".
"Can you help Anastasia too?" Luis helped the brunette over to the young prodigies, letting them inspect her wounds as well.
Rika nodded, "Like I said, if I get all the items I need, I can make both of them good as new".
"Y-you guys can do that?" asked Ari.
"Yup". they nodded simultaneously.
"Who the hell are you guys?" asked Leonardo with a stunned expression.
"Geniuses". They answered once more together.
"It's settled then, If we leave now, we might be able to reach the halfway point of Sinnoh by dark". Valentine spoke out, grabbing everyone's attention this time.
Troy shot his fist up, "Sinnoh region here we come!"
"Yeah!"
(Hector/Mira)
The strain of the winds hitting her were too much for the young girl, but with the ocean just below, she had no choice but to just close her eyes and hold on tight, "Are you sure you know where you're going?!"
He kept his focus ahead, making sure to navigate his Charizard towards the right direction, "I've never been more sure in my life".
"Pick up more speed Charizard, I want to be there by nightfall".
"Char!" Mira flinched at it's roar, squealing in fright as the fire type sped up, jetting through the sky to the point where she could only hear a piercing whistling noise ringing in her ears.
He closed his eyes for only a second, taking in a deep breath before releasing, "Iria….hang on, I'm coming for you". They shot back open, now glowing a blood red, a streak of fire appeared just beneath Charizard on the water, tracing the fire type's route permanently as it continued forward.
(Sinnoh)
"Ngh…...aguh! Let me go! You're all crazy! Stop!" he kept flailing around, struggling to break free as more and more men joined on restraining him, they placed heavy cuffs on his feet, allowing them to drag across the cold hard floor as they pulled the ruby eyed boy by his arms.
They stopped at the door, waiting for it to open as they entered through, ignoring the many pleading cries of the prisoners, all of them being strapped against the steel wall in chains.
His eyes widened at the sight, there were so many of them, boys and girls, frightened as they filled the hall with their agonizing screams, "T-these are all students from Champions…so…..so many …."
"Set it down over there". The doors slammed open, revealing a large container being wheeled in,, Eric's eyes couldn't avoid the sight, that face, he knew it too well.
There was a lump trying to stop him from cracking, but seeing her lifeless figure made him lose it, "Charlotte! What did you bastards do! What did you do damnit!"
"Shut him up!" he was kicked in the stomach, then on his head, stopping his screams in track as he began coughing from the intense hit.
"Over here". Everything was becoming a huge blur, his head felt light, but he kept his focus on the men who entered through, escorting an imprisoned Harvey who was being led in, heavy chains binding his feet and wrists together, he looked over at Eric's lying figure, having no response to it as he just turned to face forward, continuing on in silence.
Energy no longer surged through his body, he was weak, frail, having not even the strength to keep his eyes open, all he could see was the statue of Charlotte looking down at him, a haunting memory that remained with him before he had fallen unconscious, "Someone…..help…"
There you have it! The start of the rescue mission to save the students who were captured! This is where things will really start to get real, kings will be born, and a war will emerge, romances will blossom even further and the stakes for everyone's futures will rise. I really can't wait guys! One more thing, for a short time I was working on something and if you go on my deviant account, 5Aceschampion, you will see that I posted new images of characters, honestly, what you see on my account is how I would picture our OC's if my story were to be converted to an anime, some of the characters are spot on, and others might be missing some minor details, but I'm really happy with how they came out and I'll be posting more later on so I'll make sure to let you know through a chapter update when I do that, hope you guys check it out and let me know what you all think of it, also, don't forget to review, it really gets me hyped to start the new chapter and I always love seeing what you guys think of my story! The room filled with the endless echoes of everyone's cries and sobs, a black casket resided in the center of the hall, wide open for everyone to see the lifeless figure peacefully slumbering.
"Why…..why…." she whimpered, oblivious to her trembling pout, she buried her face into her hands, unable to hold back the waterfall of tears.
A soft melody played as heads were lowered, Celestial made her way to front, facing the glass ceiling where the sun shined through, tears slid down the corners of her eyes, "I knew many people until now, but never had I met anyone like them, today they leave behind a group of friends they came to know as there family, and an unreachable road. I only hope, that one day we will see this face that brought so much light into our souls….they were an amazing trainer…..an excellent student…..but most of all…..a dear friend….the world has lost a promising leader, but at least they are watching us from above, rest in peace…"
He shoved Leonardo against the wall, pinning him further back, "What do you think you're doing?"
His head turned to the side, unable to face Tyler properly, a red tint now appearing on his face, "I'm going to tell Karen, I can't stop thinking about her".
"SHE'S MY SISTER". He made sure to emphasize the entire sentence, hoping it brought all sense back into his friend.
A sigh escaped his lips, "I know, but I haven't been able to get her off my mind since the first time I saw her…...you're my friend Tyler, but I can't stand in the back and act like I don't feel anything for her".
"A-are you serious?" he was taken aback when Leonardo nodded.
"I wasn't sure when exactly to tell you…...but….I kissed her…."
"K-kissed? As in…...Karen?" he stepped back when Leonardo confirmed it.
"Yeah…..after my battle with Victoria, she came to see me…...we talked, and then she hugged me, I couldn't help it, it all happened so fast…...I ended up kissing her…..but it was enough to make me realize how much I like her".
His fists had balled up, "You bastard!"
"Guh!" He went crashing down on the ground, hitting his back against the wall, a hand on his cheek as he stared calmly up towards Tyler who still had a fist up, trembling and breathing heavily in anger.
"I deserved that…..but I'm not going to apologize".
He kept shaking, getting more and more angry that he picked Leonardo off the ground, slamming him once more against the wall, this time pulling out a pokeball.
"We'll settle this in a battle".
"W-what". He threw Leo off guard by his demand.
"Right now, you and me, if you manage to beat me, I'll let you do it".
An unsure look appeared on the brunette, "And If I somehow lose?"
"You'll stay away from Karen, permanently".
