The New Mr and Mrs Grey Plus 2
Ted's POV
"Are you ready?" I ask.
"Yes, but where are we going?" Lily queries. I rest my finger on her lips and shake my head slightly. I have no intention of telling her just yet. Rather there are other matters we need to address.
"You're not going to tell me?" Lily asks amused.
"Maybe, maybe not" I answer.
"Ted, don't! You are talking in riddles." Lily says faking annoyance.
"Okay, I will give you a hint. After we land, we need to take a private boat, and we will be by ourselves for the whole two weeks."
"By ourselves? Really?" Lily points in the direction of the security office.
"Well besides security and he will not be housed in the same villa as, us. They will be close by though." I advise my new bride.
"Villa?" Lily asks. She is going to dig for as many clues as possible.
"Yes, and don't ask any more questions because I won't answer anymore. I am much more interested in getting up in the air, and finally taking that dress off you"

"I love you Mrs Grey," I whisper into her ear. We are both entwined in each other, after making loving for the first time as husband and wife.
"I love you too, Mr Grey. Thank you for an incredible wedding. I rather liked the extra touches you added to our wedding day." Lily says appreciatively.
"It wasn't me actually" I admit.
"Oh was it your mother or grandmother?"
"No, surprisingly, it was my father who organised it. He wanted to make it an extra memorable day for us" I enlighten my new wife.
"I rather loved your father speech"
"Yes it was rather…." I try to think of an appropriate word "…..sentimental"
At the wedding reception
My Uncle Elliot has been doing a cracker of a job as our MC. He has been smooth, humorous and even poised when needed. All our guests had just been laughing, almost hysterically, at his comical tone of voice and jokes. Elliot also decided to have a small dig at my father as he invited him to make his speech.
"Lily and Teds union has confirmed one thing for the Grey family. If we wish to keep our children single, we need keep them away from Grey House. Ted had barely spent half a day at Grey house, when he found the one person he would want to spend the rest of his life with. This is similar to my poor sister in law, Ana, who spent less than a few minutes at Grey house, tripped over her own feet and then essentially got stuck with my little brother. Now I am afraid that I am going to do something similar you all and force you all to get stuck with my brother as he gives his father of the groom speech. But rest assured this is only temporary as I will return." Uncle Elliot smirks as my father takes to the podium.
"Thank you Lelliot" My father says facing my uncle but talks into the microphone so everyone can hear. It has its desired effect as Elliot's smirk is momentarily wiped from his face. Elliot lifts his glass and slightly raises it to my father, in acknowledgment that he just got owned.
Regardless of the loving and close relationship I have had with my father for years now, I didn't know whether to ask him, or my mother to make a speech. It is more traditional to ask the father, but he wasn't there during my formidable years. I spoke to my grandfather and then my mother, and they independently agreed that I should still ask my father to speak on behalf of the Grey family. Advice that I am more than glad that I took as it unquestionably did make my father joyful when I asked him.
"There is no prouder moment a parent can have, than when they get to witness their child, honestly happy in the arms of another person. You see, there are times that we think we are in love, but it isn't true. It isn't the type of love that is long-lasting and ensures that everything you do is for that one person. I am talking about the type of love that everyone hopes and dreams for, the type that means no matter what is happening in the world, you will still be alright because of the love the person next to you loves you unconditionally as you do too. I was lucky to find such a love and have two chances at it, and I am overjoyed as is my wife and Ted's mother, Ana that our son has found the same type of love." My father stops for a few seconds. Everyone is silent and listening to every word he has said. Lily is holding my hand tightly as neither of us has ever heard my father talk like this, especially not in such a public arena. I know he would have with my mother, but again that would have been done in private.
"Lily, welcome to the Grey family, though, as I hope you have known, you have been a member of our family ever since you and Ted started to see each other. Ana and I are grateful for taking our son on, and now taking the whole Grey family on as well, I am afraid." There is general and soft laughter at the point. I look at Lily who is smiling and then looks at me humorously.
"Ted, your mother and I love you unconditionally. You are an incredible son and man. You were away from me for quite some time, and then away from your mother, sister and I while you were at college and most recently in Africa. I pray that you and Lily stay close as do your children, which we are excited to welcome to our family. They are likely to be spoilt horribly, but most of all they too will be loved unconditionally." Dad stops again, and I believe it is because he is about to get emotional. He still battles with his demons about my childhood, though not as much as before. Only during times like this. Demons that I left behind years ago.
"Lily and Ted live your life's exactly how you both want and share everything. Always remember that you have a lot of family behind you both, no matter what" My father ends his speech with a toast, and he gives us both a warm smile as he returns to his seat next to my mother and sister. I watch him intently. My father first kisses my mother, and they share the most love filled look. It isn't just a look due to his speech or the occasion. It's the same look they always give each other. It is what love looks like, and I know that I am damn lucky to have Lily by my side as it is the same look we give each other. My father also focuses on Phoebe. I don't know what he has said to her, but she is smiling widely, but then frowns as our father points to the uneaten food on her plate. I can't help but chuckle.
"What are you laughing at?" Lily asks me softly.
"Nothing and everything" I reply. Lily looks at me inquisitively. I pick up her hand with her wedding and kiss it. I never want to look at her hands nor mine and see bare fingers again.
"Yes, you dad's speech was extraordinarily moving as opposed to my mother's, attempts at humour" Lily cringles.
"I think Ros was just trying to tell me that she is happy to have me in your family. Then she told me that I am to love, cherish and look after you and her soon to be grandchildren or she will make my life a living hell." I evaluate. Both Lily and I start to laugh. Ros honestly tried to make her speech humorous, but her nature didn't genuinely allow for it.
"Then take that as a warning Mr Grey," Lily says raising her eyebrows at me.
I start to caress her naked body. Her baby bump, though wasn't noticeable under her wedding dress due to the skirt design, is becoming more defined, and it is quickly becoming one of my favourite spots, though it is hard to judge as everything about her is perfect.
"You do know that I will don't you?" With my hand spread out over Lily's bump
"Huh?" Lily says exhausted.
"I promise that I will care for you and our babies forever. I will work to ensure that these precious bundles and you have everything you would want and need." I affirm.
"I know, but it's not all on your shoulders. It almost my job to help." Lily states. I kiss her belly twice, one for each baby and then Lily on her tantalising lips.
"I am glad that you are going to take a couple of years off work."
"But I will go back to work Ted" She is formidable in her statement. Lily just had the same tone of voice she did when the first time I met her at GEH, hiding out and listening to her iPod.
Lily and I both wake up, as our pilot tells us we are about to land. Quickly we get up and get dressed. I can't hide my excitement as we land, and exit into the VIP terminal, at the Grand Bahama International airport.
"I have never been to the Bahamas," Lily says with a smile.
"And you have definitely never been to our next final destination," I say mysteriously. We are taken to the port, and we board a private speed boat.
"Where are we going? Which island?" Lily asks inquiringly. As soon as we can see it from the boat I point it out.
"There it is. It's called Musha Cay, and it the most secluded private island. We have one of the five villas all to ourselves. With of course the exception of security, and a private chef and maid. Though they have their quarters away from our area. We can have them around as much and as little as we want." I inform Lily.
"So for the next two weeks, it's us, the beach, nature and ironically every piece of technology still." I grin. We arrive on the island and head straight to our villa.
"So what do you want to do first Mrs Grey?" I ask
"There is only one thing and it means you taking me to the bedroom."

(5 months later)
"So we have decided then. We brake this company up and sell the parts up. It will be more profitable that way" My father concludes. Ros and I have been stuck in my father's office, since 8am analysing our newest acquisition and it is already midday. It had been hoped that we would be able to turn the company around, but the cost would far outweigh the benefits. Besides we are able to make, more than, a tidy profit by breaking up the company.
"We need to set up a team to take charge of this project. What do you say Ted, ready to take on the big time?" Ros asks. I have to force my jaw shut, or else it would have hit the floor.
"Take over this project?" I ask to seek clarification, though ensure my voice is confident.
"Lead the team yes" My father states. I realise that they have both discussed this. I actually feel flattered. "You will be able to select whom you want on this team. Though you won't be able to move on this project for eight or so weeks."
"Why?" I ask dejected. I feel like a young child who has been given a toy, but placed out of their reach.
"Because I am going to order to the current CEO to make some changes that are going to take a little while. I will fill you in on those after lunch." My father informs me.
"Plus, I think you are going to be needed at home for a few weeks, at least, sooner than later. And on that point, any word? What did the doctor tell Lily? Are there any sighs?" Ros starts to seriously integrate me. In fact, she and Gwen haves been like this for weeks, which led to Lily deciding not to tell her mother's anything. My father now has dropped the documents and is waiting for me to answer Ros's questions. He and Mom are as eager for news also.
Lily is now thirty-eight weeks, and since she is pregnant with twins, if she doesn't fall into labour in the next few days, the obstetrician has decided that they will either induce or do a caesarean section. Luckily we were able to convince our doctor that, should we go down one of these options then we will be able to do so on Saturday. This will not raise suspicion from our eager and over-zealous families. I do intend, no matter what to spend at least the first four weeks at home with Lily and the babies. I refuse to miss their first few weeks of life.
"Lily and the babies are doing well. The doctor has told her to stay home and rest. Angela our housekeeper, is looking after her, and I am looking after every one of her needs from the second I get home from work. We have to sit and wait. There is no news." I give them one of my three prepared answers.
We hear the office door open, and Andrea enters, with an intern. They have our lunch order and coffee ready. I have never been so happy to see Andrea ever in my life. This is a much needed interruption. We sit on the couch and commence to eat. The atmosphere has relaxed suddenly. However, this momentary peace is short-lived.
"So since the twins are due to be born soon, are finally going to tell us the genders?" My father asks.
"It would make buying baby clothes a lot easier," Ros adds. I roll my eyes and run my hands through my hair.
"Come on, you and mom, and you and Gwen, have purchased enough baby clothes, toys, rockers, car seats and everything else, to last forever. It is a damn good thing we have moved out of Escala to our new home, or else we would have run out of the room." I say exasperated. "Also we have told you all, we don't know the genders"
After four months of searching, Lily and I found the perfect house for us, in the Seattle area of Laurelhurst, which has easy access to prime Lake Washington with two docks. The home was on 1.2 acres with in-ground heated pool, indoor spa and a rustic style gazebo. Though it was the view of Mt. Rainier that got us. Plus, the property also had a beautifully landscaped level park-like grounds, which we are likely to install an outdoor play set once the twins get a little older. The house also features six bedrooms and five bathrooms, so of course, my little sister has already had a few sleepovers.
With so many bedrooms, Lily has declared one of the guest rooms, as Fifi sleepover room. I love how lily has taken to my family. Lily is has become the equivalent Phoebe's big sister.
"Okay time to talk about something else. Who would you like on your team?" My father asks.
I start to run off some names, and we discuss the pros and cons. I am grateful for the distraction. I hear my phone beep, and I pull it out of my pocket. It's a text, and the second word gets my entire attention.
*having contractions. Need you NOW. DO NOT TELL MY MOTHER! SHE WILL FREAK! NO, MATTER WHAT DON'T TELL HER! I don't want to have the babies worrying about them stressing out! Off to the hospital*
"Shit" I instinctively call out but regret it immediately! My father and Ros are focused on me.
"What is it?" Ros states, urgently. "Its lily isn't it?"
"No, it's not Lily," I say quickly. Ros is looking at me unconvinced. Fuck I need to get her off the scent. I look around, and the room and the first thing I see is a photo of Phoebe and me standing together, at my wedding. "It is Phoebe. She just sent me a text message. I need to go and ring her" I lie
"What? Phoebe? What's going on? She is at school, and Sawyer should be near her. Is she there?" My father is going thermonuclear, and I have made a colossal mistake.
"She is fine, she just wants to talk to me. That is all" I try to dig myself out of the hole.
"It is 1pm, and she should be in class. She isn't allowed to talk. .. Hang on Phoebe doesn't even have a cell phone. She just turned 6. Was that message from Sawyer?" Dad is beyond frantic.
"I have deleted it sorry. Dad just let me talk to Phoebe." I desperately beg, but it is no use. Dad is over at his desk and on his phone.
"Sawyer, where is Phoebe and what is happening?" My father asks sternly. I can literally hear the fear and anger in his voice. My father narrows his eyes as he listens. "Are you sure? Check now…" My father is shooting me a look. I stand behind Ros so she can't see me, and I shake my head. I mouth the words "the babies" hoping my father understands. "Thank you Sawyer. No, that is all" my father ends his phone call and starts to calculate the situation.
"Ted, can you and Bradley, your CPO, go over to Phoebe's school. You forgot that you were supposed to be her practice music recital, as per the invitation. You better go, and now, or else you may miss it" My father states giving me an out.
"Will do. I am sorry. Excuse me Ros." I start to make a quick exit.
"Ted, before you leave can you please tell Lily to ring me. I need to know what is happening" Ros says.
"I can guarantee that she will ring you soon," I tell her. I race out and am met by both Bradley and Taylor.
"I will drive," Taylor says. There is no need to tell Taylor where we are going. He knows.
I get on my phone and ring Lily. I need to know what is happening and how she is doing.
Lily: Ted you need to get here. My contractions are close together.
Ted: where are you? Are you still at home? Are you okay?
Lily: I am NorthWestern. Does my mother know?
Lily doesn't even tell me how she is, and I know that is because it is linked to how much her mother knows. Lily loves her mother, more than anything, but Rosa's love and concern for her daughter has been overbearing.
Ted: no, but it was close. I had to make up a story and stupidly said your text message was from Phoebe, but that is a story for another time. However, my father now knows.
Lily: What?
Ted: I had no other choice. He got me out of the office, without Ros getting suspicious. Also, my father will keep her from finding out.
Lily: that's true. Are you far away?
Ted: no, just twenty minutes. Traffic isn't that dreadful. Have you seen the doctor, what has she said?
Lily: That I am in labour, and I am dilating extremely quickly. I am in the birthing ward, but I have to the operating room since we are having twins.
Ted: Okay babe. Just stay calm and I will be there soon.
Lily: just hurry.
Ted: I will.
I feel the car start to move a little faster as Taylor navigates through traffic. Taylor skims a solid five minutes of the trip time and drops me off at the door.
"Ted, go straight in. Bradly and I will take care of everything else" I nod and race straight in and up the elevator. It seems as if it take an eternity to reach the ward and the elevator doors to open. I rush to the nurses station and am quickly escorted to the room where Lily is in. A little too quickly actually.
Our obstetrician is here with a few nurses, and I discover Lily is further into this labour than I though.
"Mr Grey, good you are here, and not a moment too soon" the obstetrician informs me.
"What do you mean, 'not a moment too soon'? Lily you rang me less that forty minutes ago." I ask worried. Does this mean something is wrong?
"Ted, it's my fault" Lily states annoyed at herself.
"Lily, you need stay calm and focused. Lots of women mix up Brockton Hicks and real contractions." The midwife tells her.
"Huh?" I states. I am lost.
"I have been having contractions since late last night, but I thought they were Brockton hick's contractions as they didn't seem regular, but then again I wasn't timing them. Also, they didn't seem so bad." Lily's clarifies.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I say as I am passed hospital scrubs, I quickly throw them on over my clothes.
"Because you would worry and force me to come straight to the hospital."
"Which is where you needed to be." I scold.
"Okay you two, it's done and dusted. Lily, you are already 10 centimetres and these babies are ready to come out. Let's take you down to the operating room. I take lily's hands, and they start to move her, and smile at her. I feel horrible for scolding her now.
"Sorry I didn't tell you last night." Lily says. She looks scared, and it is a little unsettling as she is never scared.
"It doesn't matter. Sorry that I was upset." I tell her sincerely.
"I wonder what we are having. Maybe we should have found out." Lily says.
"No, it is much better this way. I love you" I tell her
"I love you too" She replies.

I gently cradle our first born child, our little girl, while Lily holds our second born, our little boy. The twins were born within minutes of each other. It happened so quickly that it is a little bit of a blur. But none of that matters, only our children and us does now. Lily and I haven't stopped smiling. Both babies, who are now five hours old, are fast asleep after being fed, already for the second time, and freshly bathed. I am yet to change one of the diapers, but I am kind of looking forward to it to be honest, it's just another one of the things that I want to do. I intend to be as active a father as possible.
We hear a knock at the door, and the door opens. We expect it to be another nurse, however, instead we get a different surprise.
"Can we come in?" I hear my mother ask.
"Mom, sure come in and meet your grandchildren" I offer.
"Thanks and I am not alone" She informs us. Behind her is my father, Ros and Gwen. Gwen has already started to get emotional, and she isn't even all the way in the hospital room yet. Ros is looking a little displeased, knowing now that I lied to her why I left Grey house at lunch time today. However her poor temperament end immediately when she sees the twins.
Lily passes our son to my parents while I pass our little girl to Ros and Gwen. Our parents huddle around each other as they examine the features of each baby and ponder whom they look like.
"They both have beautiful cooper hair, just like you did when you were born" My mother states.
"What are their names? Have you named them?" Ros asks. Lily and I smile at each other.
"Yes. Our little man is Eli Christian Grey. I hope you don't mind Dad" I ask. My father and mother are
"I am honoured. Thank you Lily and Ted, and I love the name Eli. Is that for your uncle Elliot?" My father asks
"No. We just liked the name Eli" I explain.
"What about this little angel" Gwen asks
"Her name is Ruby Gwen Grey." Lily explains. Gwen starts to cry once more.
Our parents stay for another hour, passing each child around until it's time for them both to be fed again and for us all to get some sleep.
"Ted and Lily, we will come back tomorrow. Phoebe is anxious to meet the twins. We thought that since they had just been born, it was best to have Phoebe stay at Grace and Carrick's." My mother explains.
"We will be here. Thanks for coming" I state as I escort my parents to the elevator, giving Ros and Gwen a bit of quiet time with lily and the twins.
"Thank you for making us grandparents. They're extremely special." My mother's says.
"I know. I hope I can be a decent enough father. They mean so much to me." I express my fears.
"You will be phenomenal, ted. Just do what you think is right" My mother counsels.
"Mom and dad, I may be ringing you at all times of the day for help and advice."
"And we will be there, ted. No matter what time of the day or night" My father tells me. I suddenly do not feel any fear.
Taylor meets us at the elevator and gives me a congratulatory nod. He passes a couple of envelopes to my father and they whisper something to each other.
"Ted, this is our first gift to our grandchildren. I hope this envelope doesn't meet you with the same old feelings you once had" My father states. The three of them enter the elevator and the doors close, leaving me alone with the gift. I look at the two envelopes and see the same old logo. I should have guessed. Trust funds. My father has set up trust funds already for my children who are only just hours old.
I put the envelopes into my pocket and head back to my wife and children. My life. My reason for living.
Authors Note: I am going to jump a certain amount of years now and start the next part of my story. I am really looking forward to writing it. Please review and tell me what you think. Regards, Maria Amore.
