So here is the 'Coping Together' ball. I am starting with Phoebes POV, commencing from the time she is at the sound before going to Bellevue. This allowed me to explore her relationship with Josh a little bit.
Altercations? You have seen nothing yet!
Phoebe's POV
"I think I want my hair down, and if you could fix my curls, so they are more orderly, that would be perfect" I tell Silvia, my hair dresser and makeup artist. I usually do this myself, as I have had more than enough lessons from my Aunt Kate and Cousin Ava, but I want to look perfect for Josh. I am so glad that Ted has promised not to tell our parents about my relationship with Josh, for the time being. This means that I get to enjoying sitting next to Josh at our family table tonight, without worry. At least I can zone Ted out for the evening. This usually, would be difficult, but he and I are yet to speak since the cafe incident, where I refused to end my relationship. It has been rather hard to make it look like we aren't avoiding each other. At Eli's swimming competition, I focus on cheering, chatting with my niece, Ruby and my mother. Ted was focused solely on the competition, deliberating ignoring me, also.
"All finished Phoebe and you look amazing." Silvia tells me, now doing a final touch up of my makeup. I look in the mirror and wow, I am impressed.
"Thank you, you are marvelous." I compliment her on her work, then look to the three dresses I have on my bed. "Now I just need to decide which dress to wear. I can't decide between the red, black or gold. Silvia what is your opinion?" I ask. She is much better with color than I am.
"If I am correct, you are going the extra mile this evening for some man, and if that is the case, then absolutely go with the red dress. It has a lower cut and will give you a more desirable cleavage. Just don't tell your father I said that, or I will never be employed for any Grey family events again." Silvia warns. I nod and consider her advice.
"Thanks again. Do you want me to walk you out?" I offer.
"No. You stay here and get yourself organized. I am hoping to see pictures of you and countless men in the society pages of the Seattle Times, tomorrow" She says boldly. I smile politely, but I don't want countless men. I only want one.
Taking Silvia's advice, I choose the red dress. It works best with my currently tanned complexion, and the bonus of the neck line. I know my father isn't going to approve, but oh well. I am twenty-one after all.
My cell phone beeps and I can't help but smile when I see the text message is from Joshua, who arrived in Seattle yesterday. I had only been away from him a couple of days, but I had missed him tremendously and loved seeing him last night.
*Missed you today. I should have let you stay last night. Excited to see you tonight. My PA has rung me and told me that Ted tried to contact me. Will be on my guard this evening. I love you. *
I am not surprised that Ted tried to ring Josh after our altercation. In fact, I am more surprised that Ted didn't continue to try and get hold of him.
*Do not worry about Ted. I too wish I had stayed the evening with you. See you this evening. You be on my family table. Love you too"
I slip on my silk red dress and take a deep breath, so I can zip up the bodice. It is particularly fitted, and yep, as Silvia said, my cleavage is complemented. My chest isn't hanging out or anything, but it makes me look a little bigger than I am. I am just glad the dress isn't strapless. I finish the dress, with the silver necklace that Josh gave me when I graduated and a pair of diamond earrings. I also put on my Cartier platinum diamond bracelet that my parents gave me when I was eight. I have loved this piece of jewellery from the second I saw it and recently had it lengthen to fit me; however, it is now a touch too long. I take a step back and inspect myself. I look older than twenty-one. Actually I look like my mother when she was my age. A thought which makes me undeniably happy.
With nothing left to do, I take my handbag and walk down the stairs. Sawyer and Ryan are already downstairs. Taylor though still the head of my dad's personal security staff no longer attends these types of events, mainly due to age. If he was working for anyone else, I am sure that he would have retired years ago, as would have Mrs Jones.
I watch my parents walk down the stairs together, hand in hand, and admire their relationship. They have always been so in love and never even look at anyone else. It is beyond my comprehension how they managed to be apart for so long before I was born. They both defy their ages, my father looks rather dashing is his tuxedo, and due to his constant physical training, looks amazing. My mother, who is still remarkably beautiful, is elegant and every so poised.
My father smiles at me when he first sees me, but his lips then form a hard line. Oh yeah… he doesn't like the low cut.
"Phoebe, you look amazing," My mother praises.
"Yes, princess you do, but that dress is a little low cut. We have time if you want to go and get changed" my father offers. Seriously!
"Dad!" I call out annoyed, at the same time my mother calls out my father's name. His expression clearly illustrates his abhorrence of our combined reaction.
"The dress is elegant, Phoebe. In fact, it is gorgeous. Also, you should know that you are expected to participate in the dance auction. Though I fear your dad may attempt to bid himself." My mother expresses her concern. My father then wraps his arm around my mother, though her reaction is a little curious.
"I promised grandpa that I would save him a dance tonight. I can't wait" I comment. The last time I danced with him was at Ava's wedding years, several years ago.
"Good. Only dance with him, myself and maybe your uncle Elliot" My father smirks at me, instinctively I roll my eyes. I wish he accept that I have grown up. I will have to work with him there.
"Maybe we should just go" I advise trying not to be annoyed. I don't want my pleasant mood ruined.
We are driven up my grandparent's driveway, and the car door is opened for us. My father gets out first and hold his hand out for my mother and then for mine. The flashes of the cameras almost blind me. My father gives me a reassuring look, and I continue to walk inside and to the ballroom. I greet my grandparents, both of whom are looking full of life this evening.
"Phoebe, you look fabulous"
"As do you grandma"
"Christian and Ana, just, so you know, Ted and Lily won't be here until about half past seven. The baby needed to be fed. Ted rang us an hour ago" My grandfather informs us. I look at the clock at it is 6:30 that gives me an hour to see Joshua without having to be worried about my brother reacting or wanting to talk to us both.
"If you will all excuse me, I want to catch up with a few people. I will see you all for dinner" I say ever so politely, I start to move off but am stopped by my father's next comment.
"A few people?" My father questions.
"Yes, dad. I do know people here and there. I did grow up here in Seattle. I won't be far; you can watch me if you like." I smile at my family after my tongue in cheek comment, and then make a swift exit. I text Josh asking him exactly where he is as it may take some time to locate him in the crowd. There are a solid four hundred plus people here. I get an immediate respond.
*meet me by the wharf, in ten minutes.*
I want to go straight there, but I don't want to draw any attention to myself. I accept a glass of champagne from one of the waiters and look around. I feel a little relieved, when I see a girlfriend of mine from high school. Jessica has been at the University of New York if I recall correctly. Just like high school, she has several guys around her, some of whom I recognize. Though for the first time, they seem to be interested in me rather than my blonde friend. A few guys inquire if I am interested in dancing with them tonight at, but politely I do not commit.
After briefly chatting with them, I start to make my way to the wharf. I am almost past the ballroom when someone grabs my arm. Please don't let it be Ted.
"Phoebe Grey?" He says, a little too smoothly. I look at him and recognize him immediately.
"Matthew Williamson" I say his name, without any emotion Matthew and I dated a little in high school, when he went to our brother school. I was so angry when my father forced me to stop seeing him. Though I later discovered he was a serious jerk; however, I never told anyone. I put up a small challenge to keep seeing him, but alas it was just one of the many disagreements that I characteristically conceded to during my teenage years.
"Wow, you look hot. Harvard was beneficial to you I see" he says rather salaciously.
"Yes, it was providential. I learnt a lot about business and economics. Now if you excuse me I have to be somewhere else" I state
"Hey don't hurry. They haven't even called us to dinner yet. I have just come back to Seattle for the summer before I start graduate school. Why don't you and I hook up?
"I don't think so!" I say strongly.
"Look I know your dad wasn't keen on us being together, but I am sure he won't mind too much right now. That was years ago. We could pick up where we left, and I remember exactly where we were going." Matthew touches my face and lower lip with his index finger, making me cringe.
"No. Excuse me, I have somewhere I need to be" I move away from him, but he takes hold of my arm, tightly, preventing me from moving.
"Let go"
"No." He says dictatorially.
"I think the lady just told you to let her go." Says a stern voice. I look to my side, and there is Josh. My knight in shining armor.
"Not that it's anything to you, but she doesn't know what she wants." Matthew says smugly.
"Let go of her willingly or I will knock you out cold and then have you let go of her." Josh threatens. Matthew steps back, and then looks at me. He may be backing down, but his smug demeanor is yet to cease.
"Phoebe I will catch up with you later" Matthew smirks and walks off quickly. I signal to Josh to let it go. We don't need a scene.
"Are you okay?" Josh asks concerned.
"Yeah, thanks for saving me" I smile
"I would do anything for you. You know that." Josh stands in front of me and visually checks that I am unharmed. He is by far the most handsome man here. It's been awhile since I saw him in a tuxedo and he still looks brilliant.
"I have a good mind to have security to throw him out and then question them why they weren't close by to, therefore, allowing that jerk to get close to you" Josh is angry, but only because his protective nature has kicked in.
"Don't worry about him. Let's go to the wharf, we can be alone for a little while before we are needed or missed" We walk next to each other, and when we know we are out of sight, Josh lovingly takes my hand. Even this small touch reassures me of how much he feels for me. We enter my grandparent's boat house, and I had barely closed the door before I commence to kiss him.
"Did you miss me Miss Fifi?" He asks. Josh is the only other person in the world who calls me Fifi, besides my father. He had used my nickname a few times before when I was little and was in Seattle visiting my brother, and he resumed about a month ago. At first it was out of fun, but somehow I rather liked Josh calling 'Fifi'. He only does it occasionally out of respect to my brother and his best friend, but I love when he does.
"You know I did" I comment.
"I missed you, too. I love that you are wearing the necklace that I bought you" Josh strokes the delicate piece of jewellery, and then lowers his finger to outline my cleavage.
"It's my favorite piece of jewellery" I note. Joshua laughs a little and shakes his head slightly. "What is so funny?"
"You are very sweet, but I have seen some of the jewellery your family has given you over the years. Whilst your collection may not be as large as your mothers or even Lily's, you have some pretty impressive pieces" He explains.
"But this one means the most to me. I like the drop diamond on it" I point out.
"Phoebe, I need to tell you something, so you are not upset when you notice. I don't want you to react negatively or anything. I am still here this evening, with you, okay" He states, already trying to persuade me.
"What's up?" I asked perplexed.
"I am not sitting on your table, but I am close by. I probably got relocated due to numbers" Josh is acting casually and trying to placate me, but I think we both know that Ted probably had something to do with this.
"Well Josh, I also need to tell you something, so you are not upset when you notice." I say rising my eyebrows playfully.
"And pray tell me what on earth, could you ever do that would upset me?" Josh says almost poetically.
"Dance auction," I say simply.
"Hhhhmmm… I may need to get my wallet out. Good thing I am also a man of means, with you looking like that in that tantalising dress, I am sure to have some competition." He says.
"Don't bid too much, it is just one silly dance, and you might get my father's attention prematurely. Stop after $15,000. That is how much they usually go for. Rather expensive dances really" I reflect.
"But I would pay ten times that amount to dance with you, especially in public." Josh leans in and kisses me again. I respond by kissing him again, every muscle in my body react pleasurably.
"I wish we could….." I blush immediately.
"Not now, I am sure we can wait a little while longer," Josh says.
"How much longer?" I implore him. Josh shakes his head at me, and I know he won't answer my question.
"We ought to get back to the ball. You should go first, and then I will return a couple of minutes later. You are more likely to be missed before I am" I agree, and steal one more kiss before carefully exiting the boat house. I re-join my family, who have been mingling with the large crowd.
My Uncle Elliot, who is tonight's MC, calls us all to take our seats for dinner. I move off before anyone notices and double check the seating arrangement. I examine the people on our table and then look for Josh's name. He was right, he has been moved. He is on table nine, and I touch the printing where his name is. I hate that I can't sit with him. Fuck, even Matthew Williamson, gets to sit at the same table as him, but I don't.
"Anything bothering you?" My father inquires having snuck up on me. I am immediately startled. How long has he been watching me? How long has he been next to me?
"Uh no. Everything is perfect." I lie, but try to put on a happy face.
"What are you looking at? Or who where you looking for? You have been looking intently at the table arrangements" My dad commences to investigate. Shit! What the hell do I say?
"It's just that I have lived away from Seattle for a while, and I was wondering if I knew anyone else here that I haven't seen yet." I state. My father's lips form a hard line, and he too, starts to scrutinize the table arrangements.
"Phoebe, wait here for a minute, then I will escort you to our table for dinner." My father walks several feet away and has a chat to Sawyer. I don't know what they are saying and it actually makes me uncomfortable. I don't think I even breathe until my father returns.
"What was that about?" I inquire.
"Just a slight security concern. Nothing to worry about, come everyone will be waiting for us" My father takes my arm and together we walk to our table. As we enter the large dining area, I look over my shoulder and see Josh, sitting at his table. He is so close but so far away.
Our family table is occupied by grandparent, parents, Aunt Kate and Uncle Elliot, Ted and Lily, Aunt Mia, Ros, Gwen and me. My cousin Ava is currently overseas with her husband. She got married several years ago, and her husband, Marcus, works abroad in the Middle East and commutes back and forth, while she lives here and works in network TV. I miss my cousin; she has always been extremely young of heart. She would be able to help me! I am seated next to my grandmother and frown when I see that my brother has been placed on my left side. Just before entree is served, Lily arrives without Ted.
"Apologizes for being late, but my four week old baby daughter, has her own schedule" Lily informs us. She greets her mothers and then everyone else on the table.
"Where is Ted?" My mother asks.
"Ted is here. He just had to talk to someone." Lily enlightens us. Talk to someone? My heart stops beating and swiftly, I look in the direction of Joshua. I am instantly relieved to see that he is still sitting at his table, conversing comfortably with the people he is seated with. When Josh notices that I am looking at him, he gives me a little nod and smile, which I return. Thank gosh, Ted didn't pull him aside. But then who is Ted talking to? Then again it could be related to Grey Enterprises, which makes sense.
"Apologizes for my tardiness." Ted says simply as he finally arrives at our table. "I had a little bit of business I needed to handle." I tense up next to my brother, but offer him a small smile as he looks at me. I do not want our father, or any other family member, to notice the tension between us. I continue my conversation with my grandmother, so I can casually continue to avoid my brother.
Christian POV:
I have been running my hand up Ana's thigh, and naughtily she has squeezed her thighs together and has given the most sensual look.
"You want to play?" I whisper into my wife ear.
"After the first dance, boat house" Ana whispers back. Shit, I don't know if I can wait that long. Ana knows exactly how to get to me. I knew years ago, and I still do, that I will never get my fill of her! With entree and main course completed, the auction commences of the donated items. With everyone's attention focused on the event, I am able to talk to Ana without concern of anyone listening.
"Have you noticed how tense Phoebe and Ted have been?" I inquire.
"No, but now that you mention it, I haven't seen them talk to each other even once tonight." Ana points out.
"Me either" I frown. Something is up there, but before I can decide on what course of action to take, to determine what is going on, Sawyer comes within eye shot. He nods letting me know that he has spoken him. Perfect. He will do nicely to bid on my daughter in the rather barbaric dance auction. I have a good mind to have it cancelled next year.
In his capacity as the MC, Elliot calls up all the single women to the stage. Phoebe shrinks a little and looks horrified. A few of the family members at our table look at her.
"Phoebe, I think that means you too," Ted tells her a little coldly.
"Maybe I should just skip it. Dad couldn't I just write a cheque, like you do?" Phoebe offers. I am about to agree whole heartedly, when I am cut off by my mother of all people.
"It's very quick and painless. Go and show all the eligible men here in Seattle that you are back" Phoebe's grandmother, Grace, encourages her.
"You should do it. Your dad paid $100,000 to dance with your mom when she took part in this auction, and you look pretty hot in that dress." Kate says in an attempt of humor. Ana takes my hand and squeezes it, noticing I am annoyed at everyone insistence.
"Fine" Phoebe relents.
Keeping to the tradition of this portion of the evening, Elliot embellishes as he introduces each one of the young women. Lastly comes out Phoebe. I will kill my brother with my own hands if he makes up any unfavorable comments.
"Gentlemen we have left the best to last, at least in my opinion. I present you my one and only niece, Phoebe Grey. Gentlemen, this is your one and only chance to be able to dance with this spectacular young lady, without my younger brother, the formidable Christian Grey, requiring a blood and urine sample and an extensive background check."
Elliot thinks he has got to me, but nothing can be further from the truth. I have no problems with making it public how hard it to get to my gorgeous daughter, even if he has over exaggerated a little.
"Phoebe is a newly Harvard graduate, past gymnast and pianist. She is also very single. VERY, VERY SINGLE! Yes, suitably single men of Seattle, your bid right now could be the start of a beautiful relationship, once you have also gotten past me!"
I inwardly groan. Great, just what I wanted. Now every fucker with some spare change is going to try and bid, in an attempt to start a relationship. FUCK! My irritation though is partially relocated by curiosity. I can read Phoebe like an open book, and her expression changed dramatically as Elliot was introducing her. I was too focused on my brother to notice exactly when her mood was modified.
I look towards table nine and to my son's longest, most loyal best friend, Joshua, who I have requested to bid on my Phoebe. We have known him for years and thus have known our daughter. Also, his strong fiscal status means any high bid, won't draw officious attention. I have given him a credit card and told him to bid generously, though he declined the card, but agreed to bid. Josh and I exchange nods, and that is when I see that fucker Matthew Williamson looking towards my table. I will rip him apart before I let him even look at Phoebe again, let alone dance with her in front of hundreds of people.
"Who will open the bidding? Elliot invites.
"$5,000" The first bid comes from a young man who is standing at the far end of the dance floor. I narrow my eyes to get a better look at him and recognize him as the son of a banker, and he doesn't seem anyone of concern.
"$20,000" Josh bids. I smile as I lean back and wrap my arm around Ana to keep her close to me. I advised him to make a high bid to scare off any competition, Phoebe looks toward Josh and smiles in recognition.
"$25,000" the first bidder counter offers. He doesn't know who is dealing with. Poor kid, but you have to learn one way or another.
"50,000" a new bidder enters the race, and I noticing it is Matthew. I throw Josh a sharp look, telling him to bid now.
"75,000" Josh quickly bids.
"120,000" Matthew bids again. There is an eerie silence in the room, everyone is shocked by how high this bid already is, and speed to which we are moving. Both Matthew and Joshua are now standing. It's almost a like a pissing competition.
"Seems there is a lot of interest here in ….." Elliot tries to inject to calm the two bidders, giving them some thinking time, but even he is cut off but the two opponents.
"200,000" Josh bids loudly.
"250,000" Matthew then bids.
"300,000" Jacob bid once more.
"350, 000," Matthew says, now taking it as a personal challenge, Ana takes my hand. Most of the people at our family table are looking between me and Phoebe. None of them are sure how this is going to work out, and the only person I notice acting unusually is Ted. I watch him, as the next couple of bids come in. He reacts negatively to when Jacob bids but nods when Matthew does. What the fact is going on with my sons. The bidding is now at 450,000, and Phoebe looks horribly uncomfortable. My fatherly instinct tells me I need to get her out of there.
"$500,000" A strong and confident voice next to me offers. Standing up is my elderly father, Phoebe grandfather, Carrick Grey. "Now gentlemen, I should warn you that I am a man of means greater than both of you. In addition, a man of my age and families financial status, isn't concerned, about much of how much money he leaves behind, so I am more than willing to bid higher than either of you can ever count, to have my granddaughter's first dance tonight. I would recommend you both bow out gracefully." I am beyond proud and in awe of my elderly father's boldness and the care he is displaying for his granddaughter. It has been some time since I have heard him speak like this. The last time was when he was in the court room. My father defies his age, and never before have I been so happy to have him next to me as I am right now.
I shake my head slightly at Josh, telling him to back down. Matthew, very wisely also seems to do the same.
"Five hundred thousand dollars going once, twice… and sold, to the very proud and determined grandfather," Elliot says proudly but also a little taken back. My dad goes to the stage stairs and holds his hand out for Phoebe, to escort her back to our table. I notice my daughter mouth 'thank you' to her grandfather. I swear I am not going to let her do the first auction ever again, not even over my dead body.
"Well that was quite a show" Kate evaluates.
"Yes it was" I look over to table nine to the two would be dance partners, and then refocus my attention on Ted. Something is amiss.
"I need a strong drink" Phoebe states, a little shaken.
"Have some water instead. It will be better for you." I recommend. Her drinking alcohol right now wouldn't be a smart idea.
Phoebe's POV:
I am passed a cold glass of water, but oh how I wish it was something stronger. As a child, I often saw my parents drink wine, but there were a few occasions that they would drink bourbon. That was when I knew something serious was happening. This was one of those moments that I needed a strong drink. I can't believe Matthew actually tried to bid on me and for so much money, and Josh what was he thinking? I wonder if people could tell, just how much I want Josh to win the dance with me, but I am overly grateful to my grandfather for ending that.
"Excuse me, Mr Grey, I would like to congratulate on winning the dance, with your lovely granddaughter. I think, you also just gave I just had a lesson on the delivery of an excellent argument. One I wish I had received law school before I started to practice law" I can't help but smile, and feel my equilibrium return, due to Josh's proximity. He is currently shaking my grandfather's hand. Self-assured he greets everyone at the table, even Ted. My brother thankfully is courteous.
"Will you join us for a drink? I have been following your career Joshua, it has been outstanding, and your success even in the Supreme Court." My grandfather commends him, one lawyer to another.
"Thank you Mr Grey, but I hope I still have more to learn, or else how do we improve? As I said. I wish you had been my professor after your eloquent verbal display" Josh is smooth but ever so sincere.
"College, wow that was a real long time ago. You and I are thirty-nine now. We commenced college when we were eighteen, which was the year Phoebe was born, wasn't it… yes of course it was. Then we both graduated four years later and then you had law school. We were what 24 or 25. So long ago. Remember how you came out to Seattle when you completed Law school, and we went away. Fifi you were extremely young and couldn't understand why we wouldn't take you. You were just too young, too weighty an age gap" Ted is intentionally throwing the 'age difference matter at us', and using his nickname for me for show in front of our family. Lily tactfully, kicks him under the table, which is effective in ending his mathematical jargon. I will have to thank my sister-in-law later.
"Good thing I grew up then, isn't it, Teddy" I hiss back.
"Attention please, the first dance auction winners and ladies, you will be needed on the dance floor, in several minutes."
"Grandpa, are you okay to dance?" I ask.
"Absolutely, there is still a lot of steam in me. I am sorry Josh that I denied you a dance with my lovely granddaughter. But that spectacle needed to end"
"Understood and I apologize to all you all if I made anyone uncomfortable, especially you Phoebe. My opponent just made me feel uncomfortable. Nevertheless, Phoebe if you are free, maybe you will grant me a dance later on this evening" Josh states, casually. I am about to agree when Ted pipes up again.
"Josh that would be what the second time you have danced with Phoebe, right?" He asks. I decide to play innocent.
"We have never danced together." I say. Of course, we have over the past few months, but no one needs to know that.
"Oh you don't remember that dance because you were so young Fifi. You were only five. Remember when you were the flower girl at mine and Lily's wedding?" He questions me
"Yes of course I do" I hate him talking to me like I am a child.
"At the reception, Josh didn't have anyone to dance with, and so you danced with him. It was exceedingly humorous and sweet. You as a five year old, dancing with a twenty-three year old. Sweet then of course" Ted emphasizes.
"Thank you Ted, for that trip back in time. Dad will you save me a dance?" I inquire.
"Yes, I will be delighted." My father answers.
"Dancers please take the floor" My grandfather takes my hand and leads me to the floor. Defying his age again, he spins me around the floor before the tone of the music in the song slows as do our steps.
"You're still an exceptionally smooth dancer Grandpa" I comment.
"It keeps me young," He says before spinning me again, and then lowering his voice a little more.
"Phoebe, I know that something is up. I don't know what it is, and I doubt that you want to tell me right now. Just remember that I love, and I will support you, as will your grandmother" These reassuring words are exactly what I need to hear. It is enough to make me want to cry, but I keep myself in check since we are in such a public arena. There is one thing that hasn't been addressed.
"But you don't know what is happening. I fear you won't be supportive when you discover the truth." I tell him.
"All I care is that you are going to be happy." I throw my arms around my grandfather, appreciatively.
"Thank you grandpa. This means more to me than you will ever know."
"Good! Come to Bellevue, and talk to me soon, or at least as soon as you feel you can talk about the situation. I should be able to help." He comforts me.
"I promise", whereas I am sincere, I don't know when this date will be. The song comes to an end, and we stop.
"Now go and dance with your dad, so he can get on with his other scheduled business that seems to come up at every Coping Together ball. At least since he has been en with your mother." My grandfather says elusiveness.
"What business?"
"Never you mind Missy, just go and ask your father to dance." My grandfather instructions. I feel like I have been told off a little. We return to our table, and I look around for my father. My grandparents are here, mother, aunts and Lily, but I can't find my father or ted. Also, Josh is no longer at the table. My anxiety levels increase dramatically. Fuck where are they?
Christians POV:
"Okay Ted, what was that all about? Why was Williamson looking to you during the first dance auction for your sister?" I ask my son. All my anger that has been building up slowly is coming to the surface, and I want answers. Every single last piece of truth!
