Sesshomaru's P.O.V.
This Sesshomaru is tired of that filthy, wretched, evil hanyou. This is the last time that he takes what belongs to this Sesshomaru. I looked at my miko and saw an equal amount of anger and hatred going through her face. And… I envied her for a moment. Yes, she was mine as well but unlike myself her emotions made her stronger and were not a sign of weakness. Unlike this one she could afford to show them around others and not have to worry about what others thought nor what they would try to do.
"Sesshomaru?" Her soft voice called me from my thoughts.
"Hn?" I responded politely.
"Do you have his scent? Can you smell Rin?" She asked, a small tick in her neck giving away her anger.
"This one cannot… Yet. Jaken!" I snapped.
"Ye-yes my lord?" He jumped at my tone.
"Take Ah-Un and go to this one's home. And attend the affairs that must be dealt with." I demanded.
Scared, my ugly little imp for a retainer jumped onto Ah-Un and rode of as Ah-Un took to the skies and flew towards my home, the West. I bit back a sigh as I lifted my nose to the wind and closed my eyes, searching for my adopted daughter's scent. Kagome seemed to notice that I needed to concentrate and so she settled into an uncanny and semi-awkward silence to let me focus. I knew that it was hard for her so I was even more thankful for it. Finally, I caught a glimpse of her scent: The flowers she loved so much and water lilies. I opened my eyes and looked at Kagome, she nodded and we started walking in that direction. Though it didn't look like it I was eager to save my little girl and even more eager to end that hanyou.
When I snapped out of my momentary anger I was not surprised to realize that Kagome was half asleep, hungry and cold. I stopped and turned to her, though it was faint I knew she could tell my concern was great.
"Kagome, rest. I shall start you a fire and then go hunting for your dinner." I spoke softly
"Oh I'm fine Sessho." She tried to stop my concern.
