A/N: So this is a little holiday drabble based on the classic "Baby It's Cold Outside." It has nothing to do with the midseason finale.
Olivia smiled at Fitz as she stood and smoothed out the wrinkles in her wine red A-line dress. She looked behind her to check that the black seams on her pantyhose were straight. "I really can't stay."
Fitz reached for her hand. "Baby it's cold outside"
"I've got to go away," Olivia replied, giving his hand a squeeze before she pulled it away.
"Livvie, it's cold outside," Fitz repeated, taking her hand again and giving her arm a tug. Olivia sat down again and smiled at Fitz.
"This evening has been so very nice." She had only stopped in to give him his Christmas present, but it appeared he had more on his mind. He had offered her one drink that became two.
"I've been hoping that you'd drop in." Fitz reached up and brushed a perfect curl onyx curl back from her face. His hand dropped to her lap and he took her smaller hands in his. "I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice."
Olivia shook her head, gently pulling her hands away as she stood. "My mother will start to worry."
Fitz stood as well. "Beautiful, what's your hurry?"
"My father will be pacing the floor."
He led her to stand in front of the crackling fireplace. "Listen to the fireplace roar."
Olivia chuckled as his arms wound around her waist, pulling her close. "Really, I'd better scurry."
"Livvie, please don't go." He gave his best smile and his saddest eyes.
"Maybe just a half a drink more." There was nothing she could do when faced with his smile.
"Will you put some records on while I pour?"
Olivia nodded and went to his record player and just decided to continue playing the record already on the player. She smiled when, a moment later, "The Way You Look Tonight" began playing, thinking that Fitz had planned for that exact moment. She turned to look at him, smirking at him carefully uncorking a bottle of champagne. "The neighbors might think…"
"Baby, it's bad out there," he replied as he brought her a glass of champagne.
She took a sip. "Say, what's in this drink?"
"You're not gonna get a cab out there." His arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her against him, gently swaying her to the music. Olivia almost pulled away but he lowered his head onto her shoulder and nuzzled her neck, sending a shiver up her spine.
I wish I knew how to break this spell," she murmured, feeling her legs weaken at the contact of his lips on the hollow of her throat. He waltzed her away from the fireplace to the large bay window where he could see snow falling softly.
"Mind if I move in closer?" He smiled down at her. "Your eyes are like starlight."
"I ought to say no," Olivia replied, setting her empty wine glass down on the window seat. She wrapped her arms around Fitz's neck. "At least I'm gonna say that I tried."
"What's the sense in hurting my pride?" Fitz grinned at her, putting down his own glass to wrap both arms around her waist.
"I really can't stay." She could feel the familiar fireworks going off in her stomach."
"But baby it's cold outside."
"I've got to get home." Olivia knew she couldn't stay alone with him much longer.
"Livvie, you'll freeze out there." Fitz was confident that if she stayed for just a while longer, they'd find something that would distract her from getting home.
"Will you lend me your coat?" she asked.
Fitz shook his head. "It's up to your knees out there."
Olivia smiled, shaking her head as she tried to slip out of his embrace. "You've really been grand."
Fitz slackened his embrace but didn't let go completely. "How can you do this to me?"
"I simply must go."
"It's cold outside." He made circles in the small of her back with his index finger. "Why don't we go back to the couch?"
"No."
"Look out the window at that storm." He pointed at the falling snow.
"My mother will be suspicious."
"Your lips look delicious." Everything about her looked more delicious since she started doing her makeup like Marilyn Monroe, bedroom eyes and crimson lips.
"My father will be there at the door." He decided to take the chance and kiss her, surprised when she let him. He tilted her head back and slipped his tongue into her mouth, wrapping it around hers. Olivia moaned against his mouth, lifting her hands to twine her fingers in his hair. He couldn't resist pulling her closer, pressing her chest to his. He moved on to her neck, planting gentle kisses down its length. "God your lips are delicious."
"I suppose I'll stay a while," she breathed. "Maybe just a cigarette more."
"You don't even smoke." He chuckled against the hollow of her throat.
"I can't stay too long. There's bound to be talk tomorrow." She could feel his hands creeping up her legs under her dress. "At least there will be plenty implied…"
"Look at that storm out there." He found her pulse point and clamped his lips onto it, sucking gently. Think of my life long sorrow if you caught pneumonia and died."
"I really can't stay." Even Olivia heard the lack of commitment in her voice.
"Get over that hold out, Livvie." His hands found the waist of her pantyhose and he gently tugged, pulling them down as he pressed kisses down her front. He pulled her pantyhose down.
"Well, maybe just one more drink," she finally acquiesced, stepping out of her pumps.
