Surprise!

I know it has been way too long since I have updated. For that, I apologize. I am SO sorry!

A note to my returning readers - if you don't remember what happened for the last three chapters and don't want to reread, there will be a summary below the authors note.

A/N: Since the last time I updated, I tried to focus on my other stories (didn't end up going so well), and, I decided it would be best to take a break from writing. I tried to update some of my stories, just to keep them active, but it was really hard for me to find motivation. I felt as if all of my stories were work to do - not something to have fun with. That is when you know you have a problem, so I stopped. I decided to try my best to become more active - for all of my stories. I've posted multiple one-shots and am working on updates. I know there is no excuse, but I hope some of you understand how hard it is to write when you have no inspiration. I didn't want to write something that was garbage - I feel like no chapter is better than a crappy one. Now, I plan to finish this story once and for all in the next few months. I have the next two chapters prewritten, as well as a two later chapters written. According to my plan, this story should be a total of 21 chapters long, which means we have a long way to go!

Story summary: The Winx girls received their wishes for destroying Tritannus. Aisha wished for her true love to come back, Stella wished for her parents to never have suffered a divorce, Tecna wishes her family and Timmy would get along, Flora wishes she could have saved her younger sister's life, Musa wishes her mother never died, and Bloom wished she was never sent to Earth. Bloom wakes up in a new world - new room, clothing, and appearance. More surprising, she has a new birth family (her mother, father, Daphne, a younger brother, Nikolaos, and a younger sister, Nerina. To top it all off, Daphne is the keeper of the Dragon Flame, not Bloom. Seeking comfort, her and her brother decide to take a trip to Earth to visit her adoptive family.

Reminders: I sometimes get confused between all of the versions of Winx (original, 4Kids, Nickelodeon, and Rai). If you see a mistake in the consistency with the story, please point it out. Also, this story is written when season 5 hadn't ended yet. This means, no plot points from the second half of season 5 and later will be included. This also includes any characters introduced in season 6/7, as well as transformations. I am aware there is now a Mythix transformation in the show - the Mythix transformation in this story was created before, therefore, it has no relation. I hope this makes sense! Please let me know if you have a problem with anything.

Since all of that is now covered, let's get on with the chapter! It is a little shorter than usual just to get everyone back into it.

Thanks for understanding!

Enjoy!

The Obvious Wishes

"Just one rule about this," Bloom began to talk quietly as the duo walked up the path.

"Oh, another rule? Geez, how many do you have?" Nick teased. Bloom didn't seem impressed so he dropped his smile, turning completely serious. "Yeah, of course. What's the rule?"

"Just don't say anything. To these people. Not until I figure everything out. Then I'll introduce you. Cool?"

"Yeah, cool. I'm not the most talkative person, anyways. Especially to those from a dead planet. Just throwing that out there." Nick laughed awkwardly and Bloom narrowed her eyes. She decided to ignore him and she focused on the task at hand.

What was she supposed to say? Everything was extremely confusing to her. All she knew was that her life on Domino wasn't the same. Her fairy life wasn't the same. And she needed the comfort of home.

Her real home.

She needed to smell her mother's perfume, and laugh at her father when he came in from his work in the garage with oil smeared across his face. She needed to crack the eggs for Vanessa while baking cookies. She actually wanted to peel potatoes and wash the dishes.

She would do anything. She just needed to get a sense of normality back in her life.

Her frown deepened as she realized that her wish wasn't going to happen.

Her apparent brother had tagged along.

In her Earth life, Bloom was an only child. Even when she discovered her true heritage, she never dreamed of coming to her childhood home with Daphne or her birth parents.

She felt as if the two lives should be kept separate from each other.

Bloom chuckled dryly in her head. Would that now be four lives? Her pre-wish life on Earth, pre-wish life on Domino, post-wish life on Earth, and post-wish life on Domino?

Think of all of her different lives made Bloom dizzy.

Bloom knocked loudly on the front door and took a step back, positioning herself so she was blocking Nick. If she had to bring him, which she did, she would try her best to break it to her parents slowly. No need to throw the whole "I found Daphne, my real mom, and my real dad! Oh, yeah, by the way, this is Nikolaos. He's my younger brother! Oh, hey, did you know that I also have another sister!? Cool!" speech at them.

Bloom rolled her eyes.

How come her life sounded beyond stupid at the moment.

Like, surprise! Here are surprise siblings! Enjoy!

In mere seconds, the door opened, breaking Bloom from her train of thought.

"I'm not interested, sorry," a nasally voice cut through the air. Bloom's heart skipped a beat. She knew that voice. She also knew that it didn't belong here.

"Mitzi?" Bloom gasped, trying her hardest to peer around the door. Silence met the white flame fairy. "Mitzi, where are my parents?"

"Your parents? Who the hell are you?" Bloom's eyes flashed. She stopped trying to peer into the house and glared fiercely at Mitzi.

"I am not in the mood to be questioned by you. Where are Vanessa and Mike?" Bloom growled. Just as she finished her sentence, Vanessa rounded the corner from the kitchen, wearing her signature apron.

"Oh, Mitzi, you didn't tell me you had a guest over. Nonetheless, I believe I should have enough food for her."

Bloom's heart stopped.

What did she just say?

"I have no idea who this girl is. She is most definitely not a guest of mine!" Mitzi snarled, sending a glare in Bloom's direction. The fairy wasn't fazed by her. The sight of her mother brought tears to her cyan eyes.

"Oh, mom!" Bloom sobbed. She burst her way into the house, falling into Vanessa's arms. She broke down sobbing. She didn't ever remember being this happy and relieved to see her mom. Vanessa froze completely, but made no move to push Bloom off of her. "Oh, mommy, today has been awful. I am so sa-"

Vanessa finally regained her senses and shoved Bloom off of her shoulder. The fairy stumbled backwards, her back hitting the doorframe.

"Mom?" Bloom questioned, clearly puzzled. The feelings of happiness and peace shattered instantly. Instead, they were replaced with dread. Her tears of joy stopped, slowly turning into tears of anguish.

"Ugh, get out of my house, weirdo!" Mitzi screeched, smacking Bloom across the face. She stumbled backwards again, this time onto the front steps. Her hand flew up to her face, trying her best to sooth the stinging flesh. Bloom's anger spiked. She felt magic sizzling at her fingertips.

"Bitch!" Bloom growled. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO TELL ME TO GET OUT!?" she snarled, lunging at the black haired girl.

"WOAH!" Nick caught Bloom in his arms. "Okay then! Let's just calm down," Nick suggested. Bloom turned her furry from Mitzi to her brother.

"Get out of my way, Nick!" Bloom hissed, struggling to get away from him.

"UH, not happening," he replied. He wrapped his arms tighter around her frame, holding her back from the obviously scared family.

"What is the meaning of this?!" a new voice called from the house. Bloom tore her eyes off of Mitzi, connecting with her father. Another piece in Bloom broke when he didn't seem to recognize her.

"Daddy! Let me in! Get her out! Get her out of my house!" she wailed. Tears fell down her face again. She was his little girl; he had to remember her.

"Mhm," Mike muttered slowly, dusting his hands on his pant. He eyed Bloom cautiously. "Honey, why don't you call-"

"The police are already on their way," Vanessa replied to Mike. Bloom froze, fear freezing over her heart. She stopped struggling against Nick.

"Mom? Dad?" she pleaded. "You have to… You have to remember me!"

Silence came from the pair standing inside the house, wrapped in each other's arms.

"Mommy?" Bloom's voice cracked, her knees wobbling together. She looked Vanessa straight in the eye. When she didn't see any spark of recognition, she turned to Mike. "Daddy?"

Nothing.

Time seemed to stand still once again for Bloom. Her world collapsed around her.

In that moment, Bloom broke down sobbing.

The truth hit her harder than anything ever did before.

Her parents didn't know who she was.

To them, she was just a crazy teenage that banged on their door. This psychopath entered their house, hugged and sobbed on the woman, begged the man, and yelled at the girl.

"Mitzi, shut the door, honey," Mike instructed, taking a few slow steps towards the front entrance. He walk in front of the scared girl, blocking both of the women from the two teenagers at their steps.

"Yes, daddy."

Daddy?!

An even harder to swallow truth smashed against her.

Mitzi was calling her father "dad."

Bloom's legs went weak under her, sending her flying into Nick. He stumbled, but quickly regained his balance.

Mitzi was their daughter.

Not Bloom.

Mitzi.

The fire fairy let out a heart shattering scream as the truth finally dawned on her.

She was nobody to them.

She was nobody on Earth.

She was nobody.

Who was she?

She had wished away her life on Domino, and her life on Earth had been erased, as well.

"We'll be going now," Nick told the family, seeing how distressed his older sister was. "Sorry for disturbing you!" He scooped up the wailing fairy in his arms, slowly walking away from the small house. The family stared at the retreating pair, completely bewildered.

"No! No, no, no, no, no!" Bloom let out another heartbreaking wail. She didn't even have the strength to open her eyes and view her family one last time. The door slammed shut.

The fairy's eyes flew open once the sound hit her and she struggled to free herself from Nick's hold.

"NO! Nick, please! Don't take me! Don't make me leave!" She screamed again, a fresh wave of tears hitting her. As Nick walked down the sidewalk, Bloom could faintly see the curtains to the living area rustle.

Her eyes widened, hoping to see her parents banging on the glass to get her attention, apologising for their joke gone too far. She wiped her tears away and her wailing stopped.

Instead, of her parents, a white and blue bunny hoped into sight.

That was the final straw for Bloom.

She fell limp in Nick's arms, crying as hard as humanly possible. Her screams were gargled, as she struggled to gather her breath. Her heart felt like it was shattered into a billion pieces. Her whole body hurt. It felt like there was a fire burning in her blood, igniting flames all throughout her body.

She wanted to die.

She didn't want to be here.

She didn't belong here.

Not like this.

Bloom sobbed harder. How had everyone taken her life?

Daphne stole her room, her horse, and her powers.

Mitzi stole her adoptive parents and Kiko.

What else did she have to lose? What else could possibly be taken from her?

Bloom felt broken. She wondered why they called it a broken heart, because it felt like every bone in her body was broken too.

What had she done?

What had she done?

What had she done?

Bloom had never felt such an overwhelming sense of pain. She couldn't think straight.

Pain.

Fear.

Hurt.

Sadness.

Regret.

All of these emotions were tumbling at her, wave after wave.

It felt like she was drowning in her sorrows. Each wave hit harder than the last, sending her deeper into the sea below her.

"Shhhhh," Nick whispered. He set her down on a soft patch of land. Bloom opened her eyes for the first time since watching Kiko hop into sight. She sniffed loudly and assessed the land around her.

Forest.

Nick had brought her to a forest.

"You know I love you, but what the actual hell!?" Nick cried, dropping to his knees beside her. "You just traumatized three people back there! The police were coming for us!" Bloom's heart broke. She didn't have anything. She didn't have anyone. Her birth family hated her, and her adoptive family left her. All she had left was this stranger – this so called brother of hers. The princess broke down sobbing again. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, just please don't cry!" he begged.

He scooped her back into his arms, cradling her trembling body against his. She wrapped her fingers tightly into his shirt, her fist pulling at the fabric. She allowed herself to be rocked in his arms, even though every nerve in her body was screaming at her to run. Every bit of her brain was telling her to run from the fate that she had cast upon herself.

"It's okay, Bloom," Nick whispered. He brushed stray hairs away from her face, tucking the curly pieces behind her ear. "It's all okay. I'm here. You're okay. It's okay."

Bloom burst into tears again.

"What the hell? Ugh, what in the Dragon did I say!?" Nick groaned, his head drooping in defeat. His rocking stopping, as did his whispers of reassurance.

"No, no," Bloom choked out. "Don't stop. Please." Nick's blue eyes connected with hers and an understanding passed over his. She needed him – now more than ever. He nodded and continued to soothingly rock her.

Bloom curled into the unfamiliar chest and let the tears fall.

Whoever this guy was, he was beyond good to her. She wasn't too sure if he was her brother or not; it didn't really matter. She could see in his eyes that he cared deeply for her – he cared more for her than she had ever witnessed before. The only time she had seen these exact emotions expressed was with Daphne…

Bloom's heart clenched.

This really was her brother.

This really was her life.

She lost her adoptive parents, but she gained two new siblings. She lost her room, her clothing, her hair, her phone, her horse, and her powers, but she had her birth family. She never left Domino – she saved it. She was the saviour to her home planet, allowing her parents to give birth to two more children.

Bloom didn't know if she should feel happy or scared.

She was caught in-between the both of them.

"Bloom?" Nick's voice broke her thoughts. "We should go. The police… They're probably searching for us." Bloom nodded and swiped her hand under her eyes, removing most of her tears.

"You're right. Let's head back to the ship," she mumbled through clenched teeth. Nick studied his sister with concerned eyes, but nodded anyways.

"I'll take both of us," he replied. "I think I have enough emotion to channel so we can make it back safely."

"You think?" Bloom questioned. She shook her head. "Actually, I don't really care." She laughed dryly. "Even if I do get lost in-between the flames, anything is better than this hell."

Nick sent her a wary look. He lit a fire a few feet away from where they sat, took Bloom's hand, and began the journey back to the ship.

A/N: there we have it, the newest chapter for this story!

If you have any questions, please feel free to leave questions in a review/PM me. I will respond ASAP! I understand that switching timelines is very confusing! It also doesn't help that it has been quite a long time since I have actually updated.

Also, I am sorry for any writing convention errors. It has been a long time since I have written, so the flow/characterization/spelling/grammar might not be as good as it was before. I'll work on improving. Leave in the reviews if there is an area you notice I should spend lots of time working on.

I really do love and appreciate reviews. They make my day so much better - I love reading how my writing has impacted someone. It doesn't take too long to let me know what you thought of while reading. I accept any guest/anonymous reviews as well.

That being said, I know this will be a difficult period of transition for this story. I am in the frame when my original readers my have forgotten about my story, but my story might be too long for new readers. If you do end up reading this chapter, please let me know! A review of one word would even help. I just want to see where my audience stands! Thanks for understanding.

I hope to see you all in the reviews, as well as when you read the next chapter! I have it prewritten, so I will put it up sometime soon. As a little temptation - I do end up updating faster when I get more encouragement in reviews (*wink*)

Also, a huge shout out to Zadien for helping me come up with some of the ideas for this chapter, back in 2013 on the Winx Writers Anonymous forum! Your help is still very much appreciated!

Thanks all!
