Hi everyone! I am back with another chapter! Sorry for the longer than usual wait. I'll discuss more about it later in the bottom author's note!

Reminders: I sometimes get confused between all of the versions of Winx (original, 4Kids, Nickelodeon, and Rai). No plots/characters/transformations/etc from the second half of season 5 and later will be included. I am aware there is now a Mythix transformation in the show - the Mythix transformation in this story was created before, therefore, it has no relation. I haven't watched Winx in a very long time, so some of my knowledge might be rusty. Please correct if you see anything wrong. Question: I read somewhere that the Dragon Flame was transferred from Daphne to Bloom once Bloom was born. I am not too sure if that is true, can someone confirm? Either way, in this story, Daphne was the keeper of the Dragon Flame until the moment Bloom was sent to Earth. To protect the Flame and her sister, Daphne sent both away. Thank you.

Disclaimer: I do not own Winx Club.

Enjoy the chapter!

The Obvious Wishes

"Princess!" a voice broke the calm silence that surrounded Nick and Bloom. Bloom's head snapped up and saw the servant from earlier in her room come walking towards her. "Princess!"

"Uh, yes?" The servant finally reached Bloom. She had a rosy tint to her cheeks, as well as a quickened pace in her breaths.

"Your new phone has been ringing as soon as the technicians synced this one to your last one. I got here as quickly as I could! Both Crown Prince Sky of Eraklyon, as well as Crown Princess Diaspro of Isis have been calling." Bloom's heart plummeted to her feet. "I am sorry I was not here quicker!" She passed the phone over the Bloom before curtsying and leaving the two royals in the stables. Nick leaned over and looked at the new phone.

She had hoped she wouldn't be getting the new phone for ages. At least, the mystery of who Dee was had been solved since she last held a cell phone. Too bad the answer had caused more questions and more problems.

"What happened to your old one?" he asked, noticing the one she held in her hands was different. Bloom winced slightly, remembering the smouldering heap in her hands.

"Long story." She turned the phone over in her hands a few times. It was pink like the last one, but did not have her name bedazzled on the side. She unlocked it using her birth date. "Oh."

"What?" he asked, noticing her surprise. She held up the phone.

"It's just like my old one. I didn't even back it up before I broke it." Nick chuckled.

"So, I'm hearing that you broke your phone?" Bloom rolled her eyes.

"Shut it," Bloom muttered. She flipped through her contacts, a small frown on her face. "That's not my point, either. Everything is the same from what I remember looking at yesterday. How?"

"We tend to break phones a lot, actually," Nick admitted. Bloom shook her head at him and he shrugged in response. "The technology workers in the castle finally decided to keep a constant sync with our phones to a backup drive here at the castle, so, when they break, we just download the information into a new body and BAM! We're back in business." He slapped his hands together for dramatic effect. Once again, Bloom rolled her eyes, a smile on her face.

"You're crazy," Bloom laughed. Nick smiled sheepishly. She sighed and turned to her phone, a frown now on her face. All trace of joking was gone. "Sky and Diaspro both keep calling me. Great."

"Why don't you want to talk to them?" Bloom sighed and glared at Nick. He shrugged sheepishly. "Sorry. I just was asking." Bloom sighed, her glare falling from her face.

"I don't know… I mean, I would love to talk to Sky, but…" She tried her best to hold back tears. "Not this Sky. This is not the man I love." It pained her to say it. "This Sky loves Diaspro. It'll hurt me more to talk to him than to suffer in silence." She fidgeted with her phone, forcing her eyes to stop burning.

It all hurt so much.

"And what about Diaspro?" he asked. Bloom scoffed, the sadness almost disappearing.

"I am not trusting her. She's awful. She tried to destroy my life," she snapped. She could remember the day clearly. That first day she met her.

She was awful.

Bloom could never forgive her, no matter what. Not from the embarrassment, but from all the trouble she caused after that. Bloom never went after her – why did she have to come after them!?

"Wrong," Nick corrected. Bloom frowned. What was his problem? It was almost like he didn't want to accept the fact that she didn't want to be friends with the evil fairy. "The Diaspro you know might have tried to destroy your life, but this Diaspro hasn't. This Diaspro is your best friend, and has been for many, many years." Bloom groaned.

"I understand that, Nick, but… How can I look at someone and just instantly be friends with them?" He shrugged.

"You did that with me. The day before yesterday, you didn't even know who I was," he pointed out. Bloom frowned.

"You don't get it. I didn't know you before. I can be friendly to people I just meet very easily. People that I know are just rude – that's where I have a hard time." She glared harder. "It's a lot easier to give someone a first chance than to give someone a second chance." Her glare dropped off her face, replaced with a look of hurt. "When you don't know someone – it is so much easier to not judge them or to let them have a chance. When you know someone – you already have an opinion on them; it is so much harder to let them change that." Nick frowned.

"That's an interesting way to put that."

"I can't give Diaspro the same opportunity that I gave you. You were someone I didn't know – I allowed myself to have the chance to like you. I already know her as an evil girl – I don't know if anything can change that."

"But this is a different person!" he insisted again.

"That may be true, but what if I told you that in my world, the man who killed Aisha was the kindest man I knew?" Bloom knew it was a low blow, but she really didn't see another choice. She honestly didn't even know who else Nick hated in this world.

Just as she expected, Nick became upset.

"Don't bring Aisha into this," he snapped, pulling away from Bloom. He lifted his nose in the air, seemingly to look down on her. "You might be going back to a world where she's still alive – I'm not. I'm stuck here." Bloom felt her anger drop. How could she say things like that? Regret filled her and she reached for his hand.

"I know," Bloom whispered. "I am sorry, Nick. That wasn't fair." He let out a breath and nodded his head, peace washing over his features. "I'm just saying. Diaspro is someone who is ruthless and doesn't have a heart. How could I trust her, even if she is a different person in this different world?"

"I know, bu-" Their conversation was interrupted by a loud ring. Bloom glanced to her lap, completely horrified.

Her phone was ringing.

"Oh Dragon," she hissed. The princess dropped Nick's hand and reached for the phone. She examined the screen and her heart fell. Nick must have seen the look of horror on her face, leaning over to try to get a glace at the screen.

"What?" he asked.

"Sky," she answered simply. No more words were needed. No more words could be formed. It was just as simple as she said it. The man she loves was calling, but he didn't love her back. He loved her best friend instead.

This world was messed up.

"Oh," he said meekly. "Don't answer." Nick reached for the phone, but she dodged easily.

She wasn't planning on it. She didn't want to talk to Sky. She didn't know how to act around her family or her supposed friends – she wasn't planning on risking her actions with this man. Somehow, he felt different compared to the other people in this world. It was almost as if he mattered – his opinion mattered and who he was mattered. He felt real. Was this because her love for him was real, no matter what universe she was in?

Bloom's eyes focused on the photo of him. He looked identical to what he did in her universe – his blond hair hung around his head so perfectly. There were no other words to describe him. Perfect. He looked as handsome as ever – it hurt her heart that he wasn't hers. His locks begged her to be pulled. His eyes danced with happiness. His lips were pulled into a smile, crying out to Bloom to kiss them.

She didn't know it was possible for the heart to be so happy, yet filled with so much pain.

Sky.

Her Sky.

Her Sky was calling.

Well, that wasn't technically true. It wasn't her Sky. It was Diaspro's Sky.

Still.

Sky was calling her.

Her heart both fluttered and fell at the same time. Her emotions were flipping between being excited to being broken. She wasn't too sure what to feel. She was so happy that he was calling her – she had missed him so much. At the same time, she wasn't happy he was calling. She wasn't ready to talk to him. The pain of losing him was too fresh. She couldn't talk to him – the pain would all come flying back.

The dimly lit picture was on her screen, his eyes staring into hers.

She wasn't ready.

She couldn't talk to him. It would just be more painful. Even seeing his picture brought her pain. What if she couldn't keep it together while on the phone with him? She had felt like she lost him. It was almost as if they had broken up. He was missing from her life and she knew he didn't return her feelings. He was getting married to another girl.

Bloom knew she couldn't hold it together for him. She was so heartbroken by the whole situation. Would he put it together that she was upset? Would she spill her guts to him, even if he didn't push for her to do so? Bloom was afraid she would do that. It wasn't hard for her to spill anything to Sky.

She didn't know what to do. She didn't know what to feel

Seeing his picture brought her a whole world of new emotions, actually.

Her heart pounded in her chest at the thought of Sky. Of her Sky. She could faintly feel his lips on hers, from the last time they kissed. She could faintly smell the scent of his awful cologne in her nose. He always wore too much, but, at that moment, all she wanted was to have his scent all around her. She would love to be choked by the potent orders, or feel the softness of his lips, or the gentle swipe of his fingers. She missed him. She needed him.

"Hello?" Before she could help herself, she answered the call, pressing the phone to her ear. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Nick throw his hands up in defeat and let his head fall to rest on his shoulders.

"Hi!" His chipper voice made Bloom's heart skip a beat. Tears were already forming at the corner of her eyes. She missed him. She needed him. Her whole world had fallen apart. She needed someone strong to keep her going.

This was a mistake, but it was already too late. They were talking now. No time to turn back.

"Hi!" Bloom breathed, a sob coming out of her lips, emotions overcoming her. Silence filled the line.

"Is everything okay, Bloom?" Bloom held back another sob. She knew it. She knew she couldn't keep anything from him. It wasn't like she wasn't trying – she was! – but it was too difficult. She had a hard day and she needed someone familiar to comfort her. It didn't even make sense! He was just as familiar as Nick was – these people were different in this world.

"I, uh, yeah. Everything is fine. I, u-"

"Sorry, man, she'll be right back!" Nick had swiped the phone out of Bloom's hands and pressed mute before she could even react.

"What the fuck, Nick!?" Bloom snapped. She lunged for the phone, but he moved it out of the way before she could reach it. "Nick, this isn't funny!"

"I don't think it's funny either!" he snapped. "Bloom, you just told me you didn't want to talk to him!"

Bloom fell silent and stopped trying to reach for the phone.

"I miss him though," she responded, her hands dropping to her sides. Nick sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "I love him." Nick sighed again, this time much deeper.

"I know that!" he said. "And he knows that too! Or do you not remember calling him yesterday morning, spilling to him how much you love him and to call you back!?" Bloom's face fell. "That's what I thought."

She forgot about that.

Answering that call had been a mistake.

"Shit." Her head fell into her hands. "How am I going to explain that?" He couldn't know she loved him. It was too hard on everybody. He was to be married, even though she couldn't stand that thought. She couldn't ruin his life! This wasn't her world to mess up. She had to leave that to her alternate self once everything got returned to normal.

"You don't!" Nick responded. "You don't explain anything. You hear me? You don't mention a word about where you are from." He stared Bloom in the eyes. "We can hang up right now!" Nick lifted up her phone, but she shot him a glare. "Okay. Or not. My bad."

"I can't have him think I love him…" Bloom groaned loudly, voicing her thoughts. "That messes up everyone's life – including mine in this alternate world. And can you imagine if I… if I don't go back?" Bloom shivered as the thought occurred to her. "I would be stuck in this world, where my best friend's husband would think I love him! That would be a nightmare!" Her head lifted up, shock in her eyes. "It is a nightmare. This whole thing is a nightmare."

Nick shook his head.

"Just make up an excuse!" Nick offered. "Say you were sick. Or drunk. That's a good one." Bloom glared.

"He knew I wasn't drunk. I told him I was going to train with you all right after his phone call – I would never get drunk before that. Would alternate Bloom?" Nick shook his head. Bloom groaned again. "I don't know what to do!"

"Tell him you were just joking!" Nick added. "Just say it is a Maid of Honor tradition," he explained. Bloom stared blankly at him. "And if he doesn't believe you, I'll agree with you. He doesn't know if it is a tradition on Domino." Bloom continued to stare blankly. "Uh… Bloom?"

"That… might work," she agreed. Her eyes met his. "It'll work." Nick nodded his head.

"I know it will." Bloom took a deep breath and closed her eyes tightly. Her heart hurt. Her head hurt. Everything hurt. Everything was falling apart.

Would she be able to do this? Would she be able to tell Sky it was all just a joke?

Her heart broke just thinking of it.

Loving him was never a joke. It hurt too much to think of telling him it was a joke. Why would she need to anyways?

She shook her head.

She needed to. Just knowing what she has done to these people in the world she has been living in was killing her. She had hurt her family, especially Nick. She had confused Sky. She had caused agony with Diaspro. Even though Bloom never would agree to be friends with the blonde princess, but she had hurt her. According to Nick, this Diaspro was different.

Bloom groaned.

This world was too painful. Even though she had agreed to try to play along until she found a way to go back home, she was still in pain. Aisha was still dead. Vanessa and Mike still didn't know who she was. Mitzi was still living her life on Earth. Earth was still a dead planet. Stella was still a queen, wife, and mother. Tecna was still a researcher. Musa was still a famous singer, having family troubles. Flora was still unknown. Krystal was still her friend, along with Varanda, and Galatea. Diaspro was still her best friend. Sky was still to be married to someone else. Bloom still wasn't the Keeper of the Dragon Flame. Nick and Nerina were still her siblings. Daphne was still alive, married to the Prince of Linphea, and pregnant. Her parents were still cold and heartless.

The phone was passed into her hands, breaking her train of thought. She pressed the button that had mutted Sky, and brought the phone back up to her ear.

'Just convince him you are fine!' Nick mouthed to her. She nodded her head before clearing her throat.

"Hi, Sky!" Her voice sounded too high. She cleared her throat again. "Hi."

"Hi?" His answer was clearly slowed and cautious. Bloom cursed herself. She was going to mess this up – she just knew it. "Are you okay?"

It was now or never.

She had to shake him off. She had to distance herself from him – it was the only way to take away the pain.

"I'm okay," she answered. She thought of the fact that she was sitting in the stables of a barn that had never been frozen, with her younger brother that was born because her home planet had never fallen. Despite the pain that she had experienced in the new world, those thoughts instantly sent her to a good place. "I'm good," Bloom added. More strength was with it, trying her hardest to convince Sky she was good.

She just needed to make it through one phone call. Then she would throw herself into learning about her alternate life, as well as finding a way back home.

One phone call.

"Oh. I'm glad to hear that. I was worried about you." Those words made Bloom's heart flutter. All of the emotions of love that she was trying her best to supress were coming out.

Oh, Dragon, what was she doing?

"I'm good!" she repeated, her voice once again a little too high. She hoped Sky wasn't paying too much attention.

"Listen, I'm sorry I'm just reaching you," Sky continued. Bloom cheered internally. He didn't comment on her wonky voice. "Honestly, I swear I have been trying to call you since yesterday afternoon, just a few hours after you told me to call you back." Bloom's heart dropped. Please don't mention what she said on the phone call… "The calls never went through. I left you a few voice mails, but, Dee and I were worried about you, so she came to visit you last night."

Bloom's eyes widened and she turned to face Nick, her face pale as a ghost. He had heard everything too, and his face matched hers.

Shit.

Hearing Sky mention Diaspro's name brought a whole new world of pain to her. She begged that she would pull herself together. This wasn't the time to feel like this! She needed to sort things out so she could get herself home.

Dragon, she didn't even know why she needed to sort things out so badly. It was almost as if she wouldn't be able to live with herself if she didn't attempt to fix things. Sure, she might not be staying in this world, but there were still people. Just because they weren't real to her didn't mean they weren't real at all!

"We're worried about you, Bloom," Sky continued. "She came back pretty upset. I'm sure she's a little high on emotions right now, with the wedding and all..." The princess felt a stab of pain. Why was he making this so painful!? "I love her…" Another stab of pain. Her hand shook while holding the phone and it took every muscle in her body not to burst into tears. "But she's a little frazzled right now. Anyways, we are both worried about you. We are here for you."

"Thank you, Sky," Bloom whispered. Even though her heart hurt, her love for him was bringing happiness to her. She loved this man so much, no matter what world they were in. He was just too kind and too caring – it made her head spin and her heart hurt. She longed to kiss him. She longed to touch him. All she wanted was to cuddle in his arms, pretending this whole thing was a nightmare.

It was a nightmare.

But she couldn't wake up from it.

It was reality.

"Mention the love thing!" Nick hissed, breaking Bloom out of her thoughts. She frowned in his direction.

It would hurt too much to do…

"Anyways, I'm returning your call now. The last time we spoke was… uh… well, it was a little weird." Awkwardness laced Sky's voice. Bloom cursed herself for being so stupid last call. She cursed herself for being so stupid this call.

She was still in love with him, no matter what. There was no hiding it.

Why would she need to hide it anyways!? It was her life! It was her world! Just because they weren't together in this world didn't mean she couldn't love him. If he loved her in a different world, what stopped him from loving her in this world?

Nick arched an eyebrow in her direction.

Her heart hurt. She had never felt like this before. She was hopeful and she was happy when talking to Sky. He brought her joy, even though her day had been crap. She loved him.

At the same time, she knew she couldn't. She knew she shouldn't. It was not right to mess up the world she was in. It was not fair to Sky, to Diaspro, or to herself.

Bloom caught herself by surprise by thinking of Diaspro's interests.

Why did she matter?

A thought occurred to her, jarring her even further.

Would it be any different hurting Diaspro than it was hurting Stella, in this world?

Bloom didn't think so.

Both of the girls had changed. Both of the girls weren't the same people she knew. Both girls had equal rights to be treated with respect. They hadn't done anything to Bloom – whether that be something good or something evil. Either way, those girls were supposed to be on equal standards. They had to be on equal standards. It was only fair.

Bloom was the type of fairy to hold grudges, but was it fair to hold grudges against Diaspro when she never did anything to her?

No.

It wasn't.

The most important thing that Vanessa taught her was to be kind. Vanessa always taught her to be kind to anyone, other than to those that caused her pain knowingly. Her mother had said that everyone deserves respect, unless they hurt you too many times. It would be foolish letting those that are toxic into your life, when you know the harm they cause.

Was Diaspro toxic?

Very much so. At least, the Diaspro she knew was toxic.

Even if this Diaspro wasn't, would it foolish to let Diaspro into her heart?

Yes.

The princess didn't know what to do.

Half of her was screaming at her to continue with the plan – pretend everything is normal and is the same, trying to blend in with this world and pretending to be the other Bloom, which meant lying to Sky. The other half of her was screaming to forget all of that and to do something to make her happy, no matter the consequences.

And there were plenty of consequences.

"Bloom!" Nick's voice brought her out of her thoughts. "Tell him what we discussed…" He sent her a pointed look. Bloom nodded numbly.

She couldn't think of herself. She had to think of everyone else. What would happen if she told him she loved him, a few days before his wedding!? It would be a disaster.

"About the call, Sky…" Bloom's voice got caught in her throat. A lump was growing, preventing her from forming words. She pushed herself harder to numb her feelings of pain. "It was a joke. I don't actually love you."

Silence.

Bloom bit her lip and held her tongue. The words felt strange leaving her mouth. They hurt leaving her mouth.

"Wow," he muttered after a moment. "Harsh." Bloom chuckled dryly.

"Sorry, Sky, but it was a joke. Maid of Honor thing." She wanted to scream and cry. This wasn't what she wanted, but it was what was needed.

"That sucks," Sky groaned. "Because I love you." Nick and Bloom's eyes connected. The fairy didn't know what to feel. Her heart felt so happy that it could burst, but she was mainly numb. She refused to feel anything. "I mean, my heart belongs to Diaspro, but you're someone that she loves, so, by extension, I love you too!"

"Oh!" Bloom laughed awkwardly, her face heating up in a blush and her heart falling to her feet. "You're funny." She didn't think it was funny in the slightest, but she bit her tongue.

"I was going to say the same thing to you!" Sky replied, a genuine laugh filling the line. "That was a good joke. You had me fooled. I was really worried for a bit there!"

"Yup! Such a jokester… Ha, ha, ha." She didn't even have the heart to make it sound slightly convincing.

"You know, we haven't hung out since we were kids," Sky pointed out. "Maybe we could hang out before the wedding? Just the two of us." Bloom couldn't form words. "I mean, if you want. Diaspro could come too, bu-"

"NO!" Bloom said quickly. "No. It will be good. Just us." Her heart was beating too quickly. She could barely hear Sky's voice over the rush of blood in her ears.

"Great! You know, I would love to come to know you as more than Diaspro's friend." Bloom didn't know what to feel. She felt great the Sky was talking to her, but she felt dirty from pulling away from the plan. "I don't think we've ever talked this much before."

"Uh… Yeah," Bloom agreed. She glanced at Nick. He was having a slight meltdown from their conversation. "Meet up?" she questioned, turning away from her brother. If she didn't see him, was he really freaking out? It was almost the same problem as the tree falling in a forest and if it made a sound if nobody was around… Or something. She honestly didn't care, as long as she didn't see her brother.

"Yeah! What about bowling? Tomorrow?" Bloom felt a smile cross her face. It was just like her world. Maybe not too much had changed? Other than all of the deaths and life changing news, life was good.

Right?

Bloom felt herself laugh at the joke.

"Sure! It's a date!" The line went dead and Bloom felt her heart drop.

Shit. Shit, shit, shit.

Why did she say that!? Oh, Dragon, she was so dead. Why wasn't he saying anything? She was so, so, so dead. This is the end.

"You're too cute," Sky laughed. Bloom felt herself flood with relief. "See you then. Meet me at the castle?" Bloom smiled once again.

"Your castle?" Thinking of Eraklyon brought back happier times. The happiness she felt almost pushed away the pain she had felt earlier from the negative changes in her life. Diaspro didn't even cross her mine.

"My castle," he confirmed.

"Sure!" Bloom's voice was lit up, a smile across her face. "See you then!"

"See you tomorrow. I'll text you the details."

"Sure!" Bloom couldn't even form proper sentences. She was just too happy.

"See you, boo," Sky mocked. Bloom felt herself laugh. Even though he was joking by calling her a pet name, it brought her joy to think of having romance with him. Her heart yearned for it.

The line went dead as Sky hung up. She put her phone down, a wide smile on her face.

She didn't think she was ever this happy in this world before.

Okay! Hi! Hopefully this chapter didn't disappoint! I know a lot of you were looking forward to seeing Sky. Hopefully he came off as a nice guy, but that his relationship with Bloom is pretty awkward and nonexistent.

As for the chapter in general, I'm not too sure how I feel about it. I honestly think I could write it a lot better, but I really struggled with this one. Hopefully it turned out okay!

Now, I want to talk about something really important. My updating. If you have read my profile or my Twitter, you would have noticed that I have a lot going on in my life right now. On top of getting ready for school and already being in a summer course, something extremely personal is happening in my life. One of my family members has gotten really sick and thing are not looking too good. That being said, I don't think this is going to be a good month for me. That is why this chapter has taken a long time! This issue is something that must come first, even though I love writing and I know I promised I'd try my best to complete the story this month. I'll still try my best to post the next few chapters, but I'm afraid me finishing the story before September isn't looking too good... Sorry again. I hope that you all understand and continue to wait for updates. Maybe I'll be able to post still, but, for now, it isn't looking too good. I hope you understand I'm not just doing this because I don't feel like writing! I would love to have my personal situation go away and just be able to focus on writing, but that's life. I hope you all understand this.

So, in summary, due to personal reasons, I'm not too sure how my updating schedule will be. I hope I will be able to get back on track soon, but I'm not sure. I will try my best!

Anyways, WOW! Thank you to everyone who has checked out this story. All of the reviews/reads/favourites/follows/PMs just blow me away. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support! I still get blown away by the support I am getting. You guys make me so emotional. Shout out to AuthoressForEva, Jesse, Mia, Marielle Chang, Jill, AlexisPeaney, AG, mafiaboss123, Shydae, Smilewhenyoucan, Bloom, Sea Glass, Frozen Rose Lily, Desiree Sparx, and all of the annonymous guests. I CANNOT believe how many of you there are! Much love to each and everyone of you reviewers. You make me want to write, as well as bring much happiness to me. Thank you.I don't plan for the next update to be for a few days. I haven't even started the next chapter - I just rushed to get this one out. I hope you understand.

As always, I accept any types of reviews. I do try my best to reply to signed reviews. It doesn't take too long to leave a review and make me smile (because I really do smile whenever I get the notification). As you all know by now (since I've said it many times), reviews are my fuel! They encourage me to write faster and post earlier! Thank you everyone!

Much love,
