OCC: Set way back in the Water 7 Arc.
"Man...Robin I'll give you one thing...you are a bitch to track down when you don't want to be found."
Robin looked over wide eyed as Shion slipped onto the balcony of the little apartment that CP9 had moved her into. "Shion." Robin paled. "Go away...you can't be here!"
Shion glared at her as she perched herself on the railing. "Nami says you abandoned the Crew. It's mutiny to leave a crew without the Captain's permission."
"Shion please, you don't understand. They'll be back soon and you can't be here...they'll..."
"I am well aware of who and what Cipher Pol is Nico Robin, this isn't the first time I've come across their agents." Shion snapped. "What I can't figure out is what your involvement with them is."
"It doesn't matter."
"It does."
Robin got to her feet, her eyes narrow in anger. "Just stay out of this Shion. You can't take them, you try and will die."
Shion slid off the railing. "Does this have to do with Ohara or your research?"
Robin nearly turned gray. "What do you know of Ohara?"
"Probably more than I should."
"Then you know what I'm doing this." Robin said softly
Shion was silent for a moment before she sneered. "You damned fool."
"I told you this is none of your business."
"Luffy will never let you get away with this."
Now Robin nearly looked sick. "He has to...Shion you have to convince him." She grabbed the other woman's shoulders..."Please you..." There was a crack of skin on skin then Robin was on the floor holding her cheek.
"For someone so incredibly intelligent I can't believe you'd do something so stupid." Shion hissed rubbing the shock of the punch out of her knuckles. "Do you really think that they're just going to walk away from this. Let you face this alone? Just because you ask! Luffy listens to no one when it doesn't suit his needs to do so...you know that as well as I do. And running away from your fears isn't going to help anyone! Now have I knocked some sense into you yet or do I get to hit you again."
"I am trying to protect them!"
"Well your going about it the wrong way!"
"What do you care?!"
"Because I'm your friend! And keeping other friends of doing stupid shit is what a good friend does."
Robin shot to her feet. Anger on her face. Shion dodged out of the way of Robin's Fleur power as it tried to grab her. They traded blows for a few moments. Before Shion clutched her chest and leaned against the table. Robin immediately stopped the assault. "Shion" She said worriedly.
Shion glared at her. "No! Don't you dare apologize." She sneered breathing hard. "I swear my I won't pull me next punch if you even think about it."
"When did it get this bad?" Robin asked, pouring some water.
"It's a temporary side effect of the treatment. It gets worse before it gets better." Shion said sitting down again and taking the glass.
"All the more reason for you not to be involved in this. Shion please...walk away. This one time, I don't want to see you die."
Shion sighed. "I guess it would be pretty hypocritical of me to stay after my little speech about what good friends do." She gave a humourless laugh."Alright, you've asked me to stay out of this and I will, I don't like it...but I understand it." She took a drink as Robin relaxed. "And I won't stop any of them from coming after you."
"Shion." Robin growled.
Shion shook her head. "You might not think I understand Robin but I do. Not all of it but enough." Shion smiled at her. "You see I'm a 'devil child' to, exiled from my own home because the people who should have loved me...were too scared and superstitious to look past my..." She paused. "Differences. For the longest time I thought as you did." She stood up, colour back in her face now. "But one day an obnoxious, loud, annoying little bastard in a straw hat came barrelling into my life with his crew of misfits tailing behind him and dragged me back out into a world I thought I had no place in. If there is one thing I learned from the whole mess is that no one was born to be in this world alone Nico Robin not even us."
Robin's eyes went wide. Saul had said almost those exact words all those years ago.
Shion pulled a piece of paper out of her shirt pocket.
"What's this?" Robin asked taking it.
"If you decide you don't want to go back to the crew...fine..you're decision. But when you decide you've had enough to this bullshit 'Lone Wolf' tactic of yours, and you decide you want stop running and start fighting again. I know some people who can help you get off this island and can take you anywhere you want to go. Getting away from the Cipher Pol agents though will be up to you. I recommend memorizing it then burning it."
"Why are you doing this?"
"The sooner you realize that you have people who care for you, the easier this whole thing is going to be. Think about that while you sit here, wallowing in self pity."
With that Shion was gone. Robin quickly hid the paper as the door to the room unlocked and opened.
