Three weeks after they won their first match of the season, Ginny was feeling restless again. She needed to do something about it. So she found Luna at breakfast one day and sat down beside her, hoping she had some bright ideas. She grinned at the blonde-haired Ravenclaw and said, "Hey Luna! I need some help." Luna smiled at her serenely and then Ginny noticed she had scars on her cheeks! She gasped and whispered, "What happened to you?"
Luna shrugged casually and replied, "Nothing really. Mr Carrow was asking me why my father was publishing good things about Harry and the Order and he even mentioned Dumbledore's Army. Mr Carrow took his comments rather personally," she shrugged as if it were no big deal. Her gashes looked like they had been exceptionally painful.
Ginny winced and whispered, "I'm so sorry Luna. I…" Luna was shaking her head before she was done, "Don't worry, Ginny. I've heard you've had it a lot worse than I have." She sighed and murmured under her breath, "They've left me alone for now." She glanced up at the table to see Mr Carrow trying to engage Snape in conversation. Snape seemed bored of it as he pecked away at his breakfast.
Luna shook her head as she ate some fruit salad, "It's still not right." Ginny sighed and muttered, "I wish there was something we can do! Harry, Ron and Hermione are busy risking their lives for us and…" Luna nodded in agreement and stared at Ginny, "And we're just sitting here." Clearly Luna was feeling the same kinds of frustration as Ginny, but this actually made her smile.
Then Ginny thought about what Luna's father was publishing…about Harry, and the Order…and…She then broke out into a grin and whispered fervently, "I've got it, Luna! I've got it!" She snapped her fingers and Luna placed her spoon down. She smiled eerily and asked, "What's it Ginny?" Ginny laughed at the obvious idea which struck her and she whispered, "We can start up the D.A again Luna!" Luna's eyes widened and she then nodded in agreement, "We could! We'd have to be very careful about whom we trust though." Ginny nodded eagerly and whispered, "I reckon Seamus and Neville and Colin."
Luna smiled in agreement and whispered, "And Katie Bell and…oh Angelina isn't here anymore. Anyone else you trust?" Ginny bit her lip as she contemplated it and whispered, "Maybe McLaggen. I'm not sure yet about him though."
Ginny shook her head and asked her, "And from your house?" Luna shook her head and contemplated it, "I mean there was Cho who was in the D.A…but I'm not sure I trust her." Ginny chanced a glance at the elder girl who was sitting further up the table and muttered, "I don't know if I trust her. Remember her friend who betrayed the D.A?" Luna nodded and sighed, "I know but she's not so bad. I was talking to her the other day and she was telling me she felt awful because of how things ended between her and Harry…"
Ginny stared at Luna…hoping she would not have to spell this out for her. Luna stopped mid-speech and then turned a little red, "Oh…ok maybe we'll leave Cho out for now. I'm just thinking in terms of numbers. We might need her." Ginny shook her head and grumbled, "I do not want to trust Cho Chang for anything right now or never if I can help it."
Luna shrugged her shoulders and sighed, "I don't know then who else. Maybe Michael Corner? Didn't you fancy him at once stage? He's really nice." Ginny shrugged her shoulder and sighed, "I don't know about him either. Didn't he go out with Cho?" Luna groaned and muttered, "We can't only have Gryffindor's Ginny."
A voice came up from behind her and it made Ginny jump, "What's this about Gryffindor's?" Cho was standing behind her and Ginny became defensive immediately, "Nothing. Nothing about Gryffindor's." Cho raised one black eyebrow at Ginny and said seriously, "Because if you're starting up the D.A again…I would really like to be a part of it." Ginny glared at the girl who she'd felt threatened by a year and a bit ago. She had some nerve coming up to her and blatantly asking to join the D.A! Luna saw Ginny's face turn red and muttered, "Uh, it's a possibility Cho. We're not sure yet…" Cho smiled in understanding and whispered "Well, if you're in need of numbers…I know several people who would be interested." Luna thanked her politely and she walked off. Ginny stared after her in complete disbelief. Luna whispered, "She was only trying to help."
Ginny inhaled slowly and exhaled again before saying, "I know. She just…" Luna smiled kindly, "I know. Why don't you talk it through with the Gryffindor's in the mean time. I'm sure they'd love to help." Ginny nodded then suddenly excited, "We're really doing this!" Luna laughed lightly at her elated expression, "Yeah we are!"

The following day, Ginny broached the subject with her fellow Gryffindor's at breakfast. They all sat down-her, Colin, Seamus and Neville. These were the people she trusted without question and therefore knew she could count on them. Seamus asked her seriously, "What's up Gin? You look excited about something."
Ginny nodded, her mind racing at the possibilities as she whispered, "Guys, I was talking to Luna yesterday and I came up with this idea to restart the D.A!" She beamed at them and Neville's eyes bulged wide. Seamus had a very similar reaction, but Colin jumped up and down excitedly in his chair like a hyper puppy, "Yes! What a good idea Ginny!"
She grinned at his enthusiasm and Seamus muttered, "Is it even safe to do with the Carrow's around?" Ginny raised her eyebrow at him and replied, "Well we managed it when Umbridge was around and quite frankly she was almost worse than the Carrow;s." Seamus murmured, "You've got a point there." She glanced at Neville who then nodded eagerly, "I'm in! The Room of Requirement?" he asked in a hushed whisper.
Ginny frowned and asked, "Is it not too obvious? I mean we got caught there last time." Seamus raised an eyebrow and Colin replied, "Well they surely won't think we'll use it again, right? I mean since we've been caught there already…" Ginny chuckled and beamed at the three boys. Colin whispered, "Now what?" She laughed and said breathlessly, "How about we meet outside the Room of Requirement tomorrow morning at seven o clock, before breakfast starts to discuss?" They all nodded in agreement, "Yes! Great idea!" Neville said. Ginny beamed and replied, "I'll go and tell Luna!"

It was a Saturday morning as Ginny, Neville, Seamus and Colin made their way down from the common room to the Room of Requirement. Luna was already there and waiting for them. She turned to them and said brightly, "Morning everyone! Good to see you!" They all greeted her excitedly and then Colin nudged her, "Ginny, I think you should be the one to think. Everyone else stand back."
They did so and luckily the corridor was empty because it was so early on a Saturday morning. They stepped inside and the room looked similar to what it had the time before when they'd been in here…Several couches were placed together with warmly decorated furnishings. The bar stood beside them but it was too early for drinking.
Ginny had bought a piece of parchment an a quill with her. She muttered to the group, "Right, so last year they started by writing down a list of people who are part of the D.A…" Neville shook his head and said grimly, "I don't think we should write a list. Remember when Umbridge found it?" Ginny bit her lip. How could she forget? With a sigh of frustration, she placed the parchment on the coffee table in front of her and whispered, "So what do we do? How do we know who will be faithful? I mean at least that parchment told us who the sneak was."
Luna thought about it and whispered, "I know how to do revelio? I can hide in my dormitory. No-one would think to look for it there." They all stared and her and blinked in surprise before Luna explained, "I mean Ginny and Neville you guys would be obvious…especially you Ginny with your connection to Harry. They would never think of me." Seamus stared and her and replied, "You've got a point, Luna."
This caused Ginny to laugh and nod in agreement, "Alright, so we're all agreed then? Luna you do the Revelio charm on the parchment and hide it in your dorm." Everybody nodded in agreement and Ginny passed the parchment around for everyone to write their names, hers at the very top.
Seamus said to her quickly, "Why don't you turn the radio on Ginny? Maybe we can tune in to Potterwatch." They all waited for her to do it and then Ginny grinned as she heard George's voice coming through the wireless:
George: Yes River! And you know what's also worth discussing; apart from the success of our business…is the break in at the ministry that happened several weeks ago!
River: Ah yes! Lightening and his pals broke into the Ministry of Magic. Rumor has it, that they are searching for something that may help destroy He Who Must Not Be Named, is that correct, Holy-One?
Ginny couldn't help but laugh. This was obviously a reference to George's ear. Seamus and Neville had smiles on their faces too.
Holy-One: Yes, indeed they broke in. I think it was a risky move and they must have been using the Polyjuice Potion in order to look like Ministry Officials, don't you agree Rodent?
Fred's voice came in over the radio: Rodent! I told you earlier, Holy-One, that I'd rather be Rapier! Anyway, yes indeed Polyjuice potion. It's the most beastly, vial stuff. I'm not sure how they managed to get all of those ingredients together while being on the run, but then again when they have Miss Crookshanks with them…anything is possible.
Ginny rolled her eyes at the use of Hermione's cats' name for her.
Holy-One: This is true, Rodent. Very true. Miss Crookshanks is not one to be messed with. Remember when we got told off by her for trying to put our names in the goblet and…
River: Alright, Holy-One we know what happened. But what I'm sure our audience wants to know is…what do you think is the reason for Lightening and friends risking their lives to break into the ministry of magic?
Rodent/ Rapier: I'm not sure, River. Most likely a weapon that will help them defeat You-Know-Who. What do you think, River?
River: Maybe they needed to talk to someone…someone like Royal who has connections in the ministry.
Holy-One: That reminds me, remember when Royal visited us in the holidays, Rodent? I was outside Lightning's door one evening and I was about to walk in and tell the three of them that dinner was ready when I heard them talking about the Sword of Gryffindor. That Dumbledore was meaning to bequeath it to him but the Ministry had no idea where it was. They must be after it now!
Rodent/ Rapier: I wonder where it is?
River: I'm not sure. But I am sure it might be very useful to the three, whether or not it's what they are after, since it was left to Lightening.
The signal started crackling until the eventually couldn't hear anymore. Ginny sighed and switched it off with a flick of her wand. They were quiet for a moment and Luna asked, "So they want the Sword of Gryffindor." Seamus murmured lost in thought, "Sure sounds like it." Ginny bit her lip and wished she knew where the sword was. If she knew…she might be able to help Harry.
A/N: Hi all…another one done! Hope you enjoy!
