Chapter 20
"So... what's the plan now?"
"Well..." Sokka said. "It's kind of pointless to keep flying around with no direction or knowledge. We have to figure out more about this quest before we do anything else."
They were all sitting around the fire, eating supper and discussing what to do next. Percy was feeling more comfortable with the group and was just eating and joking, he felt like Annabeth would eventually pull through and find something for them. Until then, he had no idea what to do.
"I wish we could go back to that spirit library... it probably had stuff from the last time our worlds starting mixing... you said your gods still remembered, right?" Sokka asked Percy.
Percy nodded. "Yeah... but they don't exactly keep records of a lot of stuff. The Greeks more passed from from word of mouth."
"Maybe we could go back to the North Pole?" Aang asked. "They have libraries."
"It'd take weeks. And the comet is coming in a handful of days. We can't go far. Plus, their libraries suck, I checked. It's all mushy moon poems and ballads." His eyes went dark. "I'm not saying the moon doesn't deserve those things, they're just not exactly helpful."
"The Fire Nation has libraries." Zuko said. "It's mostly... propaganda but we could look."
"It's too risky for you and Aang to be digging around the Fire Nation, Aang just shaved his head and you're, well... you." Katara rested her chin in her hands and thought. "What about Ba Sing-Se or Omashu?"
"They're all crawling with Fire Nation soldiers too. It'd be a suicide mission going back there."
"This blows." Aang flopped on his back and looked up at the sky. "I wish there was a huge secret library that wasn't sucked underground and destroyed by an angry spirit..."
Percy choked on his bite of meat but decided not to ask about that story.
Toph was leaning against a rock with her feet up, she spat violently away from herself and wiped her greasy hands on her shirt. Sitting forwards she placed her hands on her knees. The fire light danced around her face but she remained stoney and cold.
"I know where we have to go."
'Tis short. I'm sorry!
