Yu-Gi-Oh Academy
Chapter 18
Mikee's Fury! A Furious Duel!
"Tigara!" Mikee yelled out as instinct drove him to dive right after his good friend as he watched her crash right into the cold ocean below. He closed his eyes to brace for the freezing waters, diving right after her. He could barely see her gloved hand sinking down further, but he got her in time. Now came the part of pulling her above water as Mikee gasped out. He managed to get her arm around his neck as trying to heave her back to the shore, but it was difficult. "M-Mikee! Over here!" He heard someone call out to him as his eyes caught sight of Sadet's bright red Slifer coat as to her side were the two Obelisk Blue teachers, Yumi and Alden. Both of them seemed like they were stricken with horror at the sight as Mikee managed to drift through the waves and onto the shore with his unconscious friend. He didn't catch sight of Rika, however, though it wasn't the first thing on his racing mind. Right now, the only thing that mattered to him was his friend in front of him as he was coughing up the ocean water. "T-tug-cough-cough!" Mikee coughed as the teachers hurried to their side. Alden helped pick up Tigara as Sadet and Yumi helped Mikee up, the Slifer Red trying to explain everything that happened to the Obelisk Teacher.
Meanwhile, through the small forest, Rika was running as fast as she could, tears streaming down her face as she was trying to cover as much ground as possible. She didn't want to see Mikee, she didn't expect him to even be there. She tripped over a tree root overgrown as the poor girl couldn't even stand up. She sat against the tree with her knees up to her chest as Rika finally had the time to catch her breath.Why...what was he doing there? Mikee...he wasn't supposed to see that...now...now... Rika shouted in her thoughts as she held her knees closer to her. Her body was just feeling colder as her mind was racing. She didn't hear the branches cracking from the side as she looked to see Danielle. She seemed pleased with the girl in front of her. "Well done, Rika. I'm surprised you were able to pull it off. Now we can get things started her at Central Academy." She thanked Rika as the Ra Yellow looked away.
"Why?"
"Hm?" Danielle asked, looking a bit confused.
"Why...did we have to hurt...Tigara..." Rika asked, sniffling slightly. The Obelisk Blue looking over her was silent for a moment before talking. "We need to send a message to people that we're not messing around for this tournament. Besides, I've heard from a little birdie we have...unwelcome guests here at the Academy. Having the old Queen at the top of the Academy only proves that we'll never change and prove to be the same." She explained as she offered her hand to help Rika up. This time, the expression on her face shifted to what seemed to be apologetic. "Although, I did not expect the Ra Yellow to be there. The plan Nick came up with was flawless, yet that boy always seems to appear. I apologize for the situation." She mentioned as Rika took her hand and got up.
"However, you must go to your Dorm Room tonight. Don't worry about the consequences, we have that handled. But from now until the Quasar Cup, Lily and Heather will accompany you outside the dorm. Things will be a bit dicey for the next few days."
Back in the infirmary, Tigara was lying in one of the beds as Mikee was sitting by her side. He was wrapped in a towel himself, still a bit wet from pulling her out of water. The school nurse and doctor told him that she's going to be okay, but definitely needs her rest. The damage wasn't severe, but she was going to be unconscious for a while. The news was slightly comforting, but it still didn't change the fact that Rika was the one who put her in this condition. His mind was racing, asking questions such as why did she do this? There was only one name that was coming to mind as he stood up. His Duel Disk and Tig's Duel Disk lied on the table, Tig's cards were completely soaked and most likely destroyed from the ocean water. Mikee went over to his cards and strapped on his Duel Disk. Just as he was leaving, the door quietly opened as he saw a familiar black-and-blue haired girl walk in. It was Kat as she looked at her peer with her rather serious blue eyes. It took her a few seconds as Mikee brushed past with a quiet, "Excuse me." He took a few steps down the hallway before hearing Katsumi speak to him. "Danielle is leagues above you." This is what made him stop as he looked back with probably one of the sternest glares at Tigara's sister, but she was unphased. "Going out for a vengence duel isn't going to help anybody, not even you. If their meekest could take out the 'Queen' of dueling, you can only phathom what the leader has in store." She continued.
"I have to go out there, I need an explaination." Mikee told her, his voice angry as his fists were tightly clenched. The Ra Yellow standing in the doorway sighed, crossed her arms, and leaned against the doorframe, saying, "You think stomping off to the Abandoned Dorms will solve your problems?"
"It's better than doing nothing by standing here! Somebody has to pay for doing this to her, and I'll see to it somebody does!" He shouted at her and went on his way. Kat narrowed her eyes to watch him leave, then went inside the room herself.
The instant Mikee made it outside, he started running as the longer it was going to take, the sooner Danielle was going to leave the Dorm. It wasn't guarenteed she was going to be there, but he had a feeling in his gut that the Obelisk Blue was there. Confusion didn't cloud his mind, but anger was beginning to fill it. First Luna, and now Tigara, who was next? What lengths will Danielle go to get rid of her opponents? Thoughts such as these were racing in his mind as he found the Abandoned Dorm. As he suspected, there was a light on the top floor. A shadow from the window ducked out of the way, but it was too late as he raced to the front door. With all his strength, Mikee kicked the door opened as the loud slam it created echoed in the dark room. "DANIELLE!? WHERE ARE YOU?!" He shouted as his Duel Disk activated. It was quiet for a moment before some laughter could be heard. "My, my, my, quite a rude guest we have tonight. The door was unlocked you know." Danielle told him as her voice also echoed through the empty halls and rooms as Mikee was racing upstairs to where the light was. "I don't give a crap about your door! I've came here to fight you!" Mikee shouted back as he was up on the second floor, trying to find the staircase. The Obelisk Blue laughed some more as she continued her talking. "You honestly believe you can fight me? A trash Ra Yellow? Aren't you supposed to go after poor, little Rika? She's the one who de-throned your precious Queen." Danielle mentioned. He kept opening doors until he found the next set of stairs. It was a third floor, but the access to the lit room was open in the hallway. He hurried up the stairs as Mikee entered a rather wide open room. The panel wood flooring seemed like a Dueling Field, but standing on the other side was his target: Danielle.
The pale but elegant female stood there with an active Duel Disk on her other arm, which was different from what Luna described. This Duel Disk had a shiny steel base as when activated, the Card Placeholders were from a dark purple energy. This seemed to suit the mistress as her D-Gazer was activated as well, brightly contrasting from the smug smile on her face. "So you've finally arrived, good." She greeted as her gloved arms were crossed. Mikee pointed straight at her as his D-Gazer activated as well. "I DEMAND you duel me, Danielle! I don't care what type of duel it is, I'm going to show you EXACTLY what happens when you mess with my friends!" He yelled as their Disks were linked. She smirked, her arms unfolding as her hair seemed to lift up. He could feel a wave of cold air breeze through as Mikee assumed it was the wind outside or the fact he was still a bit wet. "This will be too easy, beating someone as weak and pathetic as you." She stated as the roof was opening up for the both of them. Both Duelists were dueling right underneath the bright moonlight.
Duel Begin. Surreal Duel Mode, Winterson Ruleset Online.
Mikee: 8000 LP
Danielle: 8000 LP
Duel START.
Mikee started the duel by taking a second to look at his hand as Danielle caught him widen his eyes a bit. She knew he was formulating a plan right off the bat. The Ra Yellow set a monster and a card face-down as it was her turn. The Obelisk Blue drew her card as she still had the smile on her face. "Why are you even here, Yellow? Come to avenge your fallen Queen?" Danielle asked as she set a monster and two cards behind it as she ended her turn. Mikee quickly drew his card as he glared at the duelist. "What you did isn't right, Danielle! This is why Surreal Dueling needs to end! I Flip Summon my Dandylion!" Mikee called forth the first monster that appeared on the field as it seemed to be a grumpy plant. Dandylion is a Level 3 EARTH Plant monster with 300 ATK and 300 DEF. It wasn't alone as Mikee summoned Junk Synchron to accompany it as he lifted his hand into the air. "I tune Level 3 Dandylion with Level 3 Junk Synchron! To guard against all the forces to protect those you care about, come forth onto my field! Synchro Summon!" Mikee called forth as the familiar giant green shielded warrior crashed onto the field in Defense Mode, "Junk Gardna!" 1400/2600 As the Synchro rings faded, two dandilion puffs appeared on the field. "When Dandylion is sent from the field to the Grave, I can Special Summon two Level 1 Fluff Tokens!" Mikee explained as they hovered around Junk Gardna.
That was when Danielle flipped one of her Trap cards. "I activate Sinister Shadow Games. Using this, I can send a Shaddoll card from my Deck to the Graveyard." She mentioned as a black wisp eminated from her Duel Disk as a small snake-like dragon appeared, which Mikee was beginning to recognize it as one of Rika's Yang-Zings. "Doing this lets me use my Shaddoll Dragon's effect. When it's sent to the Graveyard, I can destroy a Spell or Trap card on the field." She declared with the softest of tones. The wisp rushed straight at Mikee's face-down, but it was flipped up instantly, a large grey statue of Stardust Dragon appeared. For a second, Danielle was surprised as her card destroyed the statue, but it left behind a glowing circle. This was Mikee's turn to have a smirk on his face. "I figured you'd do something like that. My face-down was Scrap-Iron Statue. See, if it is also sent to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon a Junk monster from my Grave to the field! Come back, Junk Synchron!" He proudly declared as Junk Synchron rose from the glowing circle. The proud Ra Yellow lifted his hand into the air once more as Junk Synchron became the glowing tuning rings once again, only the Fluff Tokens drifted into it. "I tune both my Level 1 Fluff Tokens with my Level 3 Junk Synchron! With the drive to evolve beyond your limits, clear the highway for a brand new evolution! Synchro Summon!" Mikee called out as a bright pillar of light revealed the familar Accel Synchron as it was also placed in Defense Mode. (500/2100) "Next, I activate Accel Synchron's effect! By sending a Synchron Tuner from my Deck, I can raise or decrease his level! I send Jet Synchron to the Graveyard and increase Accel's level to 6!"
Danielle noticed the glimmer in his eyes as she counted the Levels to be 12. Her emerald green eyes narrowed as Mikee set two cards face-down behind his two monsters. It was Danielle's turn as she drew her card. "It doesn't matter what you throw at me. You will never be able to defeat me, and I'm going to show you why. I flip my other Trap, Shaddoll Core." She started off her turn with Shaddoll Core as it came out as a small glowing stone. Shaddoll Core is a Level 9 DARK Spellcaster Trap monster with 1450 ATK and 1950 DEF. Danielle flipped up her face-down monster, which revealed to be Shaddoll Falco. "I Flip Summon my Falco. His effect activates." Danielle was saying until one of Mikee's Traps flipped. It was his Breakthrough Skill, which activated and negated her Falco's effect. The Obelisk Blue was not phased, however as she selected a card from her hand. It began to glow with a dark energy. "I activate Shaddoll Fusion. I'm sure you recall your friends telling you about this, but I'll remind you. I can Fusion Summon a Shaddoll Fusion monster, but if you control a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, I can use monsters from my Deck. I use Artifact Scythe and Shaddoll Squamata, sending them straight to the Graveyard to perform this Fusion. Her reign goes beyond the world as her darkness consumes all good and bad! Fusion Summon!" Danielle chanted as the skies went completely dark. Mikee was now looking up at the titanic signature monster. "El Shaddoll Construct!" It loomed over the both of them as its eyes glowed. (El Shaddoll Construct: Level 8 LIGHT Fairy Fusion. 2800/2500.)
Her Duel Disk still had a dark energy surrounding it as she lifted up her arm into the air. "When El Shaddoll Construct is Fusion Summoned, I can send a Shaddoll card from my Deck to the Graveyard, but see, Squamata was also sent to the Graveyard, so let me do this in order: Construct sends my El Shaddoll Fusion to the Graveyard. Next, my Squamata will send another Shaddoll Core, and the benefit of sending that can add the card I just discarded." Danielle mentioned as she added the Spell card to her hand. She set a card right after as she revealed another familiar Spell: Nephe Shaddoll Fusion as the glowing lights flowed into her Shaddoll Falco. "With the Fusion, I'll tribute Falco and my Core to perform another Fusion Summon!" Danielle declared as she lifted her hands into the air, her Falco and Core flying into the portal. "Great weight and unphathomable power fused into one, rain fury upon the weak!" Danielle chanted and clasped her hands together. "Fusion Summon!" A giant pillar of dark energy fired into the already darkened sky as hundreds of purple strings fired from the sky and into the forest behind them. They were lifting up something gigantic as Mikee froze in fear at the sheer size of the new creature. Dark lights activated on the gigantic machine as a second Construct was sitting on its new throne, the Ra Yellow recognizing the creature as Apoqliphort Towers. "Rise, El Shaddoll Shekhinaga!" Danielle brought forth her new Fusion monster as it let out a mighty roar which shook the floor they were standing on. El Shaddoll Shekhinaga is a Level 10 EARTH Machine Fusion monster with 2600 ATK and 3000 DEF.The gigantic monster was in Defense Mode as sweat dripped from Mikee's head. The Construct on the monster lowered its hand to Danielle as she jumped on top of its palm. "I-I activate Junk Gardna's effect! I-I switch that thing to Attack Mode!" He declared as the lights on the monstrosity were switching on, as if they were looking for a target.
"Feeling nervous yet, Yellow? That's a rookie mistake, even for you. And here I was going to give you some mercy." Danielle said as she confidently stood on her monster, waving her hand at Accel Synchron. She noted that he tensed up as she yelled the command for Shekhinaga to attack his Tuner. "I don't think so, Danielle! You're not the only one who can bust out their biggest monster! I activate my new Spell!" Mikee declared as it flipped up. As it did, Accel Synchron and Junk Gardna both started to shine brightly. Danielle covered her eyes as she saw Mikee lift his hand into the air this time. "My new Spell, Limitover Drive! I return both Accel Synchron and Junk Gardna to my Extra Deck, and then Special Summon a Synchro Monster whose Level is equal to their combined Levels! The final state of evolution, shatter every limit and accel beyond the stars!" Mikee chanted as a gigantic pillar of light shone behind him. It was Danielle's turn to be surprised as now a gigantic dragon opposed her two monsters as it roared back at them, its brilliant white wings spread out to guard Mikee. "SHOOTING QUASAR DRAGON!" He yelled as the Synchro Dragon was in Defense Mode. Shooting Quasar Dragon is a Level 12 LIGHT Synchro Dragon with 4000 ATK and 4000 DEF. Mikee stared at Danielle as he pointed right at her. "This is my true power, Danielle! My symbol of how far I've come! You can't stop this monster, no matter how strong you are!" He yelled, expecting the opponent to be scared.
Danielle wasn't scared at all, but she was in fact, laughing. The dark energy around her was much more apparent thanks to the light his monster was giving off as she seemed thrilled. "I have to give you credit, Yellow, you've managed to summon the strongest Synchro Dragon against me! But you're like all the rest, wallowing in the past. Allow me to drag you screaming into reality! El Shaddoll Construct! Attack this pathetic dragon!" She declared as her gigantic monster aimed both its mighty palms at the dragon. "When Construct battles a Special Summoned monster, that monster is immediately destroyed!" Danielle told her opponent as a dark blast was fired straight at Mikee's strongest monster. Shooting Quasar Dragon's eyes glowed in response as it fired its own blast at Danielle's monster, both attacks clashing in the middle as Mikee guarded from the bright light it caused. "I don't think so! Shooting Quasar Dragon can negate and destroy any effect activated on the field once per turn! Say good-bye to your signature monster!" Mikee proudly declared.
It was at that moment Shekhinaga fired out what seemed like hundreds of glowing purple strings as they all bypassed Quasar's attack and struck everywhere on the dragon, the victim bellowing in agony as Mikee looked horrified. "What?!"
"I activate El Shaddoll Shekhinaga's effect. When a Special Summoned monster activates its effect, and I have a Shaddoll card in my hand, I can negate its activation, and destroy. The. Monster." Danielle told Mikee, adding emphasis to her last few words as Mikee watched his Dragon get destroyed by both of Danielle's monsters. His heart sank completely as the once confident Duelist dropped down to his knees, his strongest monster reduced to nothing before his eyes. Danielle began laughing again as she explained that once she uses the effect, she must send a Shaddoll card to the Graveyard, discarding a second Shaddoll Falco and ended her turn. Mikee was completely silent as the Obelisk Blue before him laughed more. "What happened to that bravado you had? I thought you were going to show me what you've got! I was just beginning to finally have some fun!" Danielle yelled as Mikee stood up on shaking legs, her two gigantic monsters staring him down. He drew his card as a card from his Graveyard glowed. "I activate Jet Synchron's effect from the Graveyard. By discarding Glow-Up Bulb from my hand, I can Special Summon it to my field. And when I Special Summon a monster from my Graveyard, I can Special Summon Doppelwarrior from my hand." Mikee said, his voice lost of his drive as both his monsters appeared in Defense Mode.Doppelwarrior: Level 2 DARK Warrior. 800/800. Jet Synchron: Level 1 FIRE Machine Tuner. 500/0. "By milling the top card of my Deck, I can Special Summon Glow-Up Bulb from my Graveyard, also in Defense." Mikee called forth his small plant monster as he milled Treeborn Frog. Glow-Up Bulb: Level 1 EARTH Plant Tuner, 100/100.
"No matter what monster you throw out at me, I will knock down every wall. This, Yellow, is true power. Any hope you manage to bring out, I'll crush it into dust!" Danielle declared as she drew her card and ordered her two monsters to take out his Tuners. She ended her turn as Mikee drew his card. His eyes widened slightly as Treeborn Frog rose from the Graveyard in Defense Mode. "I summon Spore in Attack Mode!" Mikee called out his round fluff ball as it seemed confident at what it was facing. Spore: Level 1 WIND Plant Tuner, 400/800. "I tune my Level 1 Treeborn Frog with my Level 1 Spore! Synchro Summon! Formula Synchron!" Mikee called forth his Synchro Tuner as it allowed him to draw a card.Formula Synchron: Level 2 LIGHT Machine Synchro Tuner, 200/1500 His face narrowed a bit as Danielle knew it was possibly his only chance at turning things around. He had his Formula Synchron tune with his Doppelwarrior to create Armory Arm Armory Arm: Level 4 LIGHT Machine Synchro monster, 1800/1200. as two Doppel Tokens, both Level 1 and at 400 ATK and DEF each. The next silent move he did was banish his Dandylion from the Graveyard to re-summon Spore, but it was now a Level 4 Tuner. He raised his hand up for a moment before stopping, as this was what she aimed for.
Mikee's spirit was completely shattered.
His Armory Arm and Spore Synchro Summoned into Stardust Dragon as it roared at the two monsters, although its owner stood there, silent. "It's pathetic. Look at how the mighty and hopeful have fallen." Danielle stated as she drew her card. She activated another Shaddoll Fusion Spell as a Shaddoll Beast came from her hand and the third Falco came from the Deck due to Stardust Dragon being on the field as Danielle clasped her hands together and lifted them up. "Eternal darkness commands all beneath it, show no mercy to those who oppose you! Fusion Summon!" Danielle chanted as the third familar El Shaddoll monster came forth, which was El Shaddoll Winda. Her Beast allowed Danielle to draw a card and Falco appeared face-down on the field. Her Shekhinaga attacked Stardust Dragon, Mikee finally taking damage from the attack as the explosion force knocked him forward, Mikee stumbling to keep on his feet. Mikee: 7900 LP. It was Construct's turn as her effect blew away one of the Doppel Tokens, but it was Winda that delivered the next blow. The girl on the dark dragon swung her scepter like a sword as a large black energy wave sliced through his Token and struck Mikee, slashing at his clothes as he was knocked backwards, but still on his feet surprisingly. Mikee: 6100 LP.
"I'm surprised you're still standing, but it's now over. There's nothing in your Deck that can stop my assault next turn." Danielle mocked. Mikee was already breathing hard as he felt the damage Winda did to him. The Duelist drew his card and set it straight on the field. He didn't even summon Treeborn Frog to protect himself as Danielle simply smiled. The Obelisk Blue drew her card, flipped Falco up as its effect brought back her Shaddoll Beast face-down to the field.
"Now to finish this. Winda, attack the Yellow directly." She commanded as she prepared another attack, but Mikee's only card flipped up as it was revealed to be a Compulsory Evacuation Device as it was the only thing that blew away Winda into Danielle's Extra Deck. Again, Danielle was not phased at his attempt to stall out for a turn as the next attack came from Shekhinaga in the form of a blast, knocking Mikee back further. Mikee: 3500 LP El Shaddoll Construct attacked next, sending out another blast that sent Mikee flying onto his back.Mikee: 700 LP. Finally, Danielle's Shaddoll Falco swooped in and slashed at the weakened Duelist the instant he rose up. Mikee: 100 LP.
The duel ended once Danielle flipped up her face-down, which was the El Shaddoll Fusion card she grabbed earlier, fusing her Falco and a Beast from her hand to re-summon the Winda Mikee blew back into the Extra Deck as its attack fired out, knocking the Ra Yellow to the ground.
Mikee: 0 LP
Danielle: 8000
Victor: Danielle
The monsters faded as Mikee didn't move at all from the attacks. Danielle's Duel Disk was still active as she scoffed. "I expected more out of you, given all the praise Rika's given you and your victory against Derrick. I've just come to overestimate you is all." Danielle told Mikee, it sounding like a spit to the face for the duelist as she turned around and started walking.
"N-No..." The lilac-haired female heard Mikee groan as she could hear him grunting in pain. He was struggling to get back up as Mikee managed to get on his knees. He sounded like he was in pain, but she could see it. The fire in his eyes re-ignited somehow. "I...I won't...I have...to...stop you!" Mikee yelled, punching the wood floor as she looked surprised that the Ra Yellow stumbled back to his feet. "You...won't stop at just Tigara...you'll...you'll hurt Neo...you'll hurt anyone stronger than you...like you've stopped Cryo and Luna! I will not...let you have your way!" Mikee yelled as his Duel Disk re-activated.
It was Danielle's turn to be mad as her face scowled at the sight before her. The boy was on the verge of passing out, but yet he stood opposing her. "Tch, how irritating. You're still standing even after all that. We'll have to teach you a lesson." She told Mikee as from behind him, Nick and Lily came from the lower floors, hearing everything as their Duel Disks activated. "Having trouble with this one, Lady Danielle?" Nick asked as both Duelists sided with Danielle, all three of them staring Mikee down. He didn't back down as all four of them were entering this duel.
"This is simply outragous!" Yumi screamed as the teaching staff and Isaac were talking to a hologram of the rather large Mathias. Despite it being late, he took the call to hear the female shout at him about this incident. Alden was using his visor to look over the information about the Duel while Summer and Byron were getting information back to them about Tigara's condition. The one most torn up about these evens was Isaac as he sat behind his mahogany deck, processing all the information. "I propose we remove the Surreal Duel mode from the Quasar Cup-"
"That, my fine lady, is forbidden in itself." Mathias spoke, "Surreal Dueling WILL be the format for this tournament that I'm funding."
"Surreal Dueling has JUST been shown as extremely dangerous! One of our own students is in a COMA! Why the hell are you promoting it?!" Byron demanded as he slammed his holograms down, infuriated as Summer was trying to ask him to calm down. The hologram stood up, looking quite serious as he spoke again, only looking to Isaac this time. "You must have heard the rumors going about with North Academy. If you keep your flimsy ways of accepting all the Duel Styles, then your Academy will be sure to fall to them." The teachers now looked confused as they looked to the head of their school. His eyes narrowed as he looked to their funds source. "I believed it to be a rumor. North Academy has been sending students to each of the other Academies to take the top spot and follow in their styles. Their 'elite' ways and 'the true duelists', other Academies have been switching their teaching regulations so suddenly." Isaac briefly explained before Yumi spoke up again, "Wait, that sounds EXACTLY what your daughter is doing now! What gives us a reason to believe you're not with North Academy then?!"
"North Academy does not follow our ideals. Why do you think we've decided to fund Central Academy over the others? Albeit we have different views on duel styles, here at Winterson Corp, we promote everyone to use what they like, despite our Surreal Dueling style taking it too far, it's the nature of the game. North Academy promotes only one style: Win by any means neccessary. We knocked out a student? In the last month alone, over twenty students were expelled from North and other followed Academies for losing a few duels. There are rumors that students were gravely injured from their level of dueling."
"I will repeat myself once more before all of you: If I hear that Surreal Dueling is banned from your precious Quasar Cup, my funding will be withdrawn completely. And once that goes, North Academy will be sure to target what could possibly be the last stronghold for Duel Monsters." Mathias told them and hung up promptly. Yumi screamed out as she sat on one of the chairs in the room. "Damn that egotistical pig! Isn't there anything we can do to stop them?! Discipline them?! Suspend them? Anything?!" The Obelisk Blue asked her partner as his visor shut off. Alden pinched the bridge of his nose as he shook his head. "According to the logged information on our servers, Tigara and Rika agreed to the duel, regardless if it was 'forced'. Tigara just, ultimately lost. We can't do anything." The male Obelisk Blue head groaned, just as frustrated as his friends.
"What's worse, if we try anything, Mathias would just pull the funding we need to keep the school going." Byron reminded everyone, taking off his hat. Everything was looking grim for the teachers.
"But, there's one thing Mathias doesn't do." Summer finally brought up into the conversation as the attention went to her. She was the only one who had a small smile on her face. "We can't do anything to Danielle and her group, but our students can. I still believe in my students to do their best and show them we're not kidding around." She told them. This seemed to brighten the mood a little as Isaac stood up. He looked out the window at the bright moonlight and clear sky. "The fate of Central Academy lies in our students."
Luna heard everything that Sadet told her in a complete and unorganized panic as she was racing as fast as she could to the Abandoned Dorm. It was just a quiet night for her until Sadet burst into the room, telling the Slifer that Tigara went down. Her gut feeling told her Mikee was going to try something against Danielle, her heart praying that she wasn't too late. Suddenly, her D-Gazer activated, sensing a duel as the ebony-haired student noticed she was coming up on the Abandoned Dorm. She gasped as her Gazer revealed several monsters at once as they were all targeting Mikee's only monster, Shooting Star Dragon as it was destroyed by Construct. An explosion occured at the top of the Abandoned Dorm as Luna saw a figure get launched from the rooftop and into one of the thick trees. Luna heard twigs snapping as someone fell down near her. Luna turned on her light from her Duel Disk as it was Mikee. He was torn up as he was missing his Ra Yellow coat, his shirt and pants torn in different places, most likely all thanks to the tree and the duel above. The Abandoned Dorm's rooftop returned to normal as she rushed to help her friend. "M-Mikee?! Come on, talk to me, get up!" Luna called to her friend who seemed unconscious. He didn't respond at first, but as Luna was trying to sit him up, the beaten Ra Yellow started to shift a bit. "M-Mikee?! Come on, wake up!"
"..R-Rika...?" He grunted softly as his eyes were opening. He saw that it was his friend, Luna as she looked at him with shocked green eyes. The Slifer Red managed to sit him against a tree as he was barely conscious, but he seemed to be fighting to stay awake. "What...just what happened to you?" Luna asked him.
"...He was beaten, that's what." A familar voice told the two as both of them turned to look at Cryo. The Obelisk Blue stood there in the moonlight with his arms crossed and a stern look on his face. Luna was a bit surprised and backed off slightly, but Mikee on the other hand grimaced at the pain he was going though. He lifted his arm as the Ra Yellow was trying to get his Duel Disk to work, but even that seemed damaged. He gave up on it and looked to the traitorious Obelisk Blue. "...You...huff...looking for...a fight?" Cryo stared at the Ra Yellow with unphased eyes as he instead, paid attention to the Slifer Red. "What happened to Mikee is simple: He did the same thing you did. He fought Danielle and lost without even harming her on either one of their duels. If that doesn't say anything about their strength, I don't know what does." He told her. She looked to Mikee, wide-eyed that he was in that kind of condition. Sure, Mikee was really strong, but to not even hurt Danielle? Was she invincible?
"Don't...believe him..." Mikee muttered as he was still trying to regain his strength. He looked to the pretty Slifer Red as through the scratches and exhaustion, the Ra Yellow still had some confidence in him. "Cryo here...has given up...but I haven't. I'm...going to find a way...and beat Danielle...don't ever believe that...anyone is invincible."
Cryo scoffed and looked to her once more before leaving. "It's time you picked a side, Luna. Make sure the side you pick on can put up a fight." The Obelisk Blue departed into the forest as Mikee coughed a couple of times. She snapped out of it and hurried to try and help her friend.
