Chapter 8: Kyoudai:
Aoi's POV
Reiji and I were walking along the path in the gardens when Eri and Kanato-kun were there. I knew since before I became a vampire that Eri is in love with Kanato-kun.
"Reiji, what do you think?" I tugged on Reiji's arm.
"About what?" He replied cluelessly.
"About Kanato-kun and Eri. I know I shouldn't doubt Eri's intuition but I can't help but worry." I answered worriedly.
"I know what you mean Aoi, but I can't say anything about Kanato, as I, never had been his brother at all. I was really indifferent with them. Sorry, if I can't be of help Aoi." I nodded and hugged him.
"It's not your fault Reiji. You were young and stubborn." I comfort them.
As I let go of Reiji I saw Eri kissed Kanato-kun.
"I'm really going to talk to that girl later on." I said menacingly and Reiji sweat dropping.
A FEW MINUTES LATER:
I saw Eri walking to the sleeping quarters and I called out to her.
"Eri!" I called.
"Onee-san?" She gleefully.
"I need to talk to you. Can we go somewhere private?" Eri nodded and lead me to her room.
"So what is it, onee-san?" I hesitated a bit but this stuff need to be address.
"I know you've been seeing Kanato-kun for a while now." Her eyes were wide open. But after recovering from the shock that I know, she nodded.
"I will not judge you Eri, I was in the same situation. But Kanato's disposition is different from Reiji's. He's more… Mentally unstable." Eri looked down.
"I know, nee – san, but I felt like he had already accepted me. Kanato, I know he is different, different in a weird way, but I fell for him, so bad! He may have threatened me with death on the first few weeks, but it became just sweet nothings from him."
"Eri, you are a big girl, you may not be blood related to me, but you are still my sister, just be careful. Reiji and I are here for you. And about your relationship with him, just be careful. Their father is not someone who would just keep you out of the radar."
She nodded, smiled and hugged me, "I knew nee – san can understand!" I really can't be angry at here for too long.
I pat her head and broke the hug and she skipped out of the room.
I sighed in a brief relief, when I received a very unexpected visitor, Subaru
"What is it Subaru?" He shrugs and sat at the chair near me.
"I heard your conversations. More like I eavesdropped." He playfully started.
"That is a bad habit, Subaru." I reprimanded.
He sighed and put on a serious face, "I wonder when will I get a bride." He spoke softly, being a vampire, I practically heard him clearly.
"She will arrive one day Subaru, just be patient." Subaru looked at me dead in the eyes.
"What if she won't come? Will I just be alone? I don't want to be alone." I was looking at him, a bit shocked.
"Subaru…" It was then a strange a clanking sound of the gate surround the place.
"Wow, what timing." He looked at me.
"She had arrived."
A FEW SECONDS LATER:
"LET ME GO!" a girl's voice screamed.
She was held up by Laito as she was struggling. There was grimace in Subaru's face.
Subaru was behind me, later arrived and looked at the girl who was not older than 10 and in blank trance, he took her from Laito's arm.
"She's mine, hands off." He took her by the arm. And we went to the living area, Aya, Eri as well as Yui and the other brothers were there.
"Who's the kid?" Ayato said in a rude voice.
"I'm not a kid! I'm Hina!" She yelled in her small cute voice.
Hina is a cute girl with a small face with amber colored eyes and a black straight hair that falls to her knee, she is wearing a western dress that is practically torn here and there.
"Then, Hina – chan, what are you doing in the woods at this hour." I said.
"I was being called here…" I looked at her wide eyed.
"Called?" Everyone in the room had confused face.
"I… my soul was being called here, for as long as I can remember. It always says: Look for Subaru…" Subaru looked at her wide eyed.
"She… could she be?" Yui at the back whispered.
"What do you mean, Yui – san?" She looked dread.
"She, she could have be a werewolf's child? The princess?!" I stared looking confused.
"That is right, Hina is a wereworlf." Hina confirmed.
"Oh. My. God! Hahahahahaha… Shocker Subaru – kun~" Laito snickered teasingly, I know looked too confused.
"She will bring either unity and discrepancy between vampires and werewolves Aoi. Something that we had been avoiding. I believe that when Subaru saw her, she had imprinted on him." Reiji explained and Subaru felt uncomfortable.
To test it out, Kanato took a knife and threw it sharp pointed to the girl. On instinct, Subaru caught the knife before it reached her.
"Yup, mates… what a rare sight" Reiji noted in.
"Okay, this is enough!" I spoke, "Subaru, she will be your responsibility." On that note, we dispersed.
What a long day.
