The place is snowing. They drop onto my palm, melting instantly. I found no one in this place, as I'm properly is the only one.

Where am I?

I walked to the front, no bother where it will lead me. I have no other choice, anyway. The place is somehow…familiar. I'd come here before, but I really have no idea where am I.

You're really my lucky blue!"

"I guess you're my lucky red, then?"

I jerk at the sudden voices. Someone is here? With the question, I walk to other side to see if my luck is there. I stop as I see two figures on the bench which quite surprise me.

"What is it on my face?"

"…Now I only found that…your eyes are silver color! I never see people with silver colored eyes…it's beautiful."

The persons that are talking now are no other than me and Minato-kun. However…something doesn't seem right to me. How I should say about this…?

Yeah…have we chatted under such a weather and place? It's yet winter, so where the snow comes from? But…I have to admit, that it brings up my sentiment as if I truly been here before.

"We'll see again…right?"

"Of course we will."

Minato-kun says with determined tone, which to my surprise, tears roll down to my cheek. Using a hand, I wipe it off. Yet it keeps rolling down without the way I can control.

When I'm busy in cleaning my face, the place replaces by pitch black. I gasp; flinch before I realize what's going on. I barely see anything in the darkness, not before my eyes adapt it. I hear some voices…or groans will be suitable to describe it as I know someone is here.

"He's going to face it himself!"

"No! I'll help him!"

"You're not alone!"

Other voices cut in, one after another. I recognize them. I mean, how suppose I'll not? They're Fuuka, Yukari and Akihiko-senpai. Mitsuru-senpai and Junpei-kun's voices are mix inside as well.

What's happening?

That's my first thought. While wondering, I finally come to see something— like an egg –it's glowing in dim light. There's a person stand against it, in front.

Minato-kun?

Before I catch my senses back, the egg-like being strikes Minato-kun by throwing some energy seems like Megidolaon, which sending Minato-kun to the back.

I gasp, calling his name out loud, hoping he will hear me. He doesn't back down. I see some sort of light he holds dearly in his palm as he presses it on his chest. Though from what I see, Minato-kun has no way to defend against the being, yet he doesn't show a hint of despair.

He's smiling.

The being attacks again. I run to him, knowing he will never has chance to guard. However, Minato-kun braces it by standing straight, not even bother to guard. I shut my eyes, not dare to see it.

No! I exclaim in my mind.

"…You're there for me, right…Minato-kun?"

The voice again. Instantly, I open my eyes, in disbelief.

That's…my voice?

"…Of course, Hamuko."

He mentioned my name…so he's really Minato-kun…right?

Tears burst out again. This time, I'm not bothered to wipe it off or doing anything on it. He lifted his hand to the air, mostly seems like pointing the egg-like being…

Minato-kun…!

And then, everything in front of me goes blank.

The next time I open my eyes, I thought I must be awake from the dream. Yes, it seemed like a dream to me. Perhaps in fact, I'm dreaming, even now, I am. I'm not yet awake, because I'm floating, in the void.

I don't see any place that I can place my legs. But somehow I know it's safe to be like this.

On top of my head is a door. To where it will lead is not important to me. All of my attention is draw to the statue that chained on it— as a guard, or as a lock – I don't know, but I'm sure it is a seal.

Minato-kun…?

My legs are trembling, slowly losing the strength to support my body. An urge rises up from my stomach and makes me want to vomit. Breathing becomes some difficult task to do at this moment. As I try to restrain the disgusting feeling, a growl coming from behind me.

It's coming! I exclaim.

As expected, the place shakes a bit everytime that being getting closer. It's not directing to me— it's heading to the door –I have a feeling like this.

No…I can't let it get any closer to it…to Minato-kun.

Fighting away the unpleasant feeling, I stand up and call another me—Eurydice.

However…

No splattering glasses, no blue light, Eurydice is nowhere to find. I deep shocked.

How can that be!? Persona!

Again, soundless.

I cry, collapse in front of the being. It's an inch in front of me, yet I can do nothing.

I've promised him…I'll protect him…but…

How can I be so useless?

Fool…

Of course you can do nothing. Just look at yourself…behind you.

The voice fills the air, as if the being is talking. It's teasing me…I chuckle dryly as I turn my head to my back.

You lost the power to summon persona. You have no power to stop me. All you can do is stay there and watch me destroy the seal.

One day, I'll break it…no matter how many times it'll cost.

What the being say can't draw my interest.

Behind me is another door exactly same with the one in front of me. The only different is…

The one being chained on top is me.

As Hamuko descended the stair, she knew it was Dark Hour through the green light shined from outside the window. She took every step extra carefully as she couldn't see the place clearly.

She let out a trembling sigh, trying to calm down.

She jerked up from her dream not a while ago after she saw she was chained on the door. It brought up something to her, but she couldn't figure what it was.

Her legs were still weak. Every step seemed so difficult. She knew she was scare, no matter what the dream meant.

She needed a place for herself.

"Someone's over there?"

She almost tripped hearing the voice. She squeaked, managed to grab the edge of the table to support.

"…Hamuko?"

She lifted her head, recognizing the owner of the voice. She just heard it in her dream, how would she mistake it?

"Minato-kun?" She asked while walking to the lounge. "Where are you? I can't see you…"

"Right here to your left." Sighing, Minato grabbed her shoulder and giving her another shock which she squeaked again. "…Are you alright, Hamuko?" Feeling something went wrong with the auburn haired girl as he felt the trembling through her body, he asked.

"Don't scare me like that!" She wanted to scold him for that. But when he asked her with such concerned voice, she melted right away. "Minato-kun…!" And the tears rolled down her eyes.

He blinked, having no idea what's got into her. Pulling the girl nearer, he brought her to the sofa near by.

"H-Hey Hamuko, what's wrong?" He tried to dig her out, but she didn't seem to stop in any second…

"G-Give me an s-second…!" Like clinging on his arm, she refused to let it go. Burying her face deep in his chest, though she knew it's rude, she just released her feeling on him.

Minato sighed; knowing he couldn't do anything but waited her to calm down. After a few minutes, Hamuko finally stopped crying, though she still sobbing, she able to talk at least.

"So…what happened?"

"…I have a nightmare." Hamuko said, causing the cool boy to blink a second. He raised a brow, doubting if she was the type. Hamuko blushed, figured what he must be thinking. "W-What? What do you mean by that?"

Minato turned away his head, with a smirk on his face. "No, it's nothing. Continue."

She shot him a glare before continuing. She knew he was laughing at her! "Stop that creepy smile!...Actually, I dreamed about you. We chatted in an unknown place under the snow…it's…like an old memory." Talking about the warm scene, Hamuko smiled unconsciously. "And then, the scene changed to a dark place. I saw you fighting with an egg-like monster…"

"Egg-like monster?"

She nodded. "You tried hard…at last; I ended up in void, watching a statue similar to you acted as a seal for a door. A giant monster approached from behind. I tried to stop it, but I…I couldn't summon my persona…!" Remembering the scary part, Hamuko never thought that losing the power to summon persona at the time she needed the most was something scary. "The monster told me I lost my power. I couldn't stop it…because I'm the seal too…all I could do was watching it, silently…and uselessly…"

"Calm down Hamuko." He patted her back to give her some support.

"When I saw the seal…I seemed to remember something. Something seal inside my memories…I sensed mix feeling within it." Feeling disgusted, Hamuko put a hand on her chest tried to ease it. "What are these dreams trying to tell us?"

Minato leaned back to the sofa, looking at the green light on the floor. "…What if I tell you I have the same dream as you? Not exactly the same, but the snowy place…I dreamed about it too." Hamuko lifted her head to him but said nothing as if telling him to continue. "I dreamed about the life we've been through, you know, like the images we saw. There's no you and Haruka. Normal school life…operation, fighting shadows, full moon and sort, it's not the same we've been through. And then time skipped through, it's December near New Year. I met you in that place. We chatted a lot, about the life we've been through, the truth of the world…though I'm not really understood. I sat there listening to their chat until they decided to go apart. You…went back to where you belong to, and then me…"

"Minato-kun, you're saying like we're from different world." Hamuko interrupted him. She lifted her hands in front of him, pointing two fingers. "Like I'm from the world A and you're from world B, and somehow we met in world C…is it?"

Tilting his head, Minato pondered a bit before answering. "I think…sort like that."

"You believe it?"

"You don't?" He asked her back.

"I do. That's why you're not inside the images I saw and likewise." She chuckled. "Weird, huh?"

"So…in order to get back our memories, we have to defeat the twelve shadows." Minato came up with a conclusion which Hamuko agreed with.

"But I have a bad feeling of that…"

"We can't help. To understand better of the current situation, we need our memories back. If we're truly from the different worlds, what we need to do here…and who throw us in? We need answer." Minato said with a smile. Though the fact they came to realize was quite a surprise, but if he was alone in this, he wouldn't be able to do it.

"Fine. So all we need to do is stick with SEES and defeat the twelve shadows." She nodded. "I'm sorry Minato-kun. I acted like a spoiled child…"

"Don't mention it…h-hey Hamuko?" It shocked Minato when the girl suddenly wrapped her arms around him. "Hmm…Hamuko?" His face started to heat up.

"Thank you Minato-kun." She said timidly, resting her head on him. "Minato-kun is strong. You always make me want to rely more on you."

"…You're strong too Hamuko. Don't underestimate yourself." He remained unmoved, closing his eyes to feel her warmth. "Because you're here with me, we can overcome it together."

It's so dark around. They wouldn't be able to see each other's face clearly. But thanks to that, no one, even they themselves wouldn't be able to see the red faces of them. They had to admit they're lucky to stay together. Being alone was terrible, but if someone was together in this, especially in the case you couldn't tell the others, with someone shared the same fate, everything just seemed fine.

Truly, they enjoyed each other's company.

Suddenly, the surrounding turned bright. Light came back to the lounge. Minato forgot he did turn on them, as the habit was habit. With that, Hamuko quickly pushed away from him. Realizing that they're still in each other's arms, Minato scratched his cheek in embarrassment.

"Hmm…w-well, it's pretty late! I-I'm going to sleep!" Jerking up, Hamuko turned around to avoid Minato. "M-Minato-kun…y-you too!"

"Uh-uh, good night." Still dumbfounded, Minato watched the auburn haired girl ran up to the stair. Scratching the back of his head, his lips crooked into a smile, which he wouldn't realize.

"Hey Minato, going back already?" Kazushi, his classmate, also his friend in kendo club, approached him from other side. His knee was twisted a while ago, and Minato was the only one knew about it.

Minato knew his knee would turn worst if he continued to practice. But for the sake of his cousin, Kazushi couldn't give up here, even it meant his leg might cripple. Minato wanted to help him. Kazushi helped him a lot in the club and in class.

"Yeah…how's you knee?"

"Shh! D-Don't stare at it!" Looking around as if scared to be found by someone else, Kazushi put a finger in front of his mouth. "Phew…"

Minato shrugged. "They will find out sooner or later, especially Yuko." He knew the dark skinned girl very concerned about Kazushi.

"I-I know…but…j-just keep it for now, bro!"

"Yeah…I will. Don't worry, but you shouldn't over do it." While changing his shoes, he saw the auburn haired girl walking near by with Rio. "Yo."

"Minato-kun and Kazushi-kun!" Hamuko greeted them by waving at them. Rio walked to her shoes locker and opened it. The same went to Hamuko. "Finish practicing?"

"Hey Hamuko-chan. Yeah, we just finished."

"By the way, where's Yuko?"

"She's still busy in cleaning task. She will be here soon." Kazushi answered. "I better get going. My mom is waiting for me. See ya tomorrow Minato!"

The three of them waved him goodbye. Rio, who had changed her shoes, again put back the shoes. "Hamuko, I go to help Yuko. You can go back first."

"Oh well, goodbye Rio!" That left Minato and Hamuko alone at shoes locker. After changing the shoes, Hamuko found Minato was waiting for her. "Minato-kun, did you receive the message?"

"Yes. Ikutsuki seems has something to talk about." Pissing off when mentioned the name, Minato gave a mere shrug pretended not to bother about it.

Raising a mischief smile, Hamuko ran to his side and tackled his shirt. Minato flinched a little remembering the scene they had a day before. "Wanna skip then?"

"Skip? Seriously?" He raised his brows, not surprised by the suggestion. Looking at her big smile, Minato couldn't help but smiled back. "Well, where do you want to go?"

"Wait…let me message Haruka first…" Tapping on her phone, a few second later, she grabbed his arm and pulled him together. "Let's get some food first. I'm starving!"

"You always talk about food…"

They came to Iwatodai and headed to Hagakure. Izumi was off today, so they couldn't find him around. Well, that's just good for them as no one would interrupt them like that guy.

After having the meals, they went to Paulownia Mall. It's quite empty at the street, despite the Lost that were lurking somewhere in the corner. Most of the shops had closed, only the Police station and the night club were on.

"Wow…it's so empty here."

"What time do you think it's now?" Minato sighed. He looked the Lost at the corner, narrowing his eyes.

Instead, Hamuko watched at the middle aged man that stood near the fountain. Frowning as she thought she saw him somewhere before, while having one of her hands to tap on Minato.

"Minato-kun, do you know who that guy is?" She pointed the gray coat wearing man.

"That is…" He narrowed his eyes when answering the question. "Tanaka from Tanaka Show."

"Is it? I thought so!"

"Ahem!" The man seemed to notice them as well. He coughed a little and started to approach them. "Yes, I'm President Tanaka from Tanaka Show. Well…it's difficult to not be recognized once you're famous…oh, is you, Minato boy."

"You know him, Minato-kun?" Shifting her gaze in between Minato and Tanaka, Hamuko asked suspiciously.

"Yeah, he cheated my money…"

"Wait wait wait!" Before Minato could finish his sentence, his mouth was covered by Tanaka's rough hand. "Did you forget the promise we've made!?"

"How come I'll ever forget? I don't want to swallow the thousand needles of yours."

"Then, this girl has no exception!"

"I'm telling her in front of you, not at your back."

"There's no different!"

"HEY!" The middle aged man jumped a bit at Hamuko's shouting. "Don't ignore me!"

Leaving Tanaka behind, Minato barely ignored him. "This Tanaka guy cheated my money for thrice."

"You're something wrong too! How comes thrice!?' She poked his head, having no idea whether to angry or laughed at his dumbness.

"I'm just testing you, Minato boy!" Tanaka exclaimed. His voice echoed in the mall.

"Then return the money." Minato stretched out his hand.

"I told you it's impossible…we did promise right!?" Tanaka rubbed his bridge of nose, seemed tiring at talking to the cool boy.

"…I don't need whatever lecture." Shrugging, it's not like he really cared about those money. Those were mostly from the exploration of Tartarus, and he had a bunch.

"Say Minato boy, is she your girlfriend?"

"What?" He grimaced. Where did that come from?

Tanaka took a round and examined Hamuko. "She's not bad. Well, you two match well."

Now was Hamuko who raised her brows. She turned her head to Minato. "What's he talking about?"

"Sort like…model thing. I heard his mumble the last time I met him."

"W-Well, it's sort like that…" Tanaka's smile was quite rigid. He then walked away. "…My mistake…how comes he would hear me…! My big plan…!"

"There he goes again." Hamuko sweat dropped. So this is what Minato-kun talks about…

"Leave him. Let's go." Dragging Hamuko along, Minato pulled the girl from the president. "President Tanaka, I'll see you again!" He yelled at him after getting some distance with him.

"W-Wait…Minato boy!"

Still hadn't understood the situation, Hamuko only followed Minato to the other side. She thought perhaps Minato disliked President Tanaka, but then from the smile he had on his face, it didn't seem so.

"President Tanaka…is not bad guy, right?"

"Of course he's not." Minato looked back at her. "I just like to pick on him. He's…not that bad as he looks like."

"That's not a good habit." She chuckled, poking his head. "…But that wouldn't hurt, yeah?"

"Where do want to go next?" He asked.

Taking a look at the shops, most of them were closed by now. If she wanted to shop, this was not the suitable time. Meh, she could always do that if she wanted.

Walking a few steps forward as she saw something, she then turned back to Minato, with a mischief smile hanged on her face. It gave Minato a bad feeling as something must had planned inside the auburn haired girl's mind.

As expected, she grabbed his arm and pulled him to a direction—where the night club was.

"Wait…are you sure?"

"Why not? I haven't' gone inside!"

"We're underage."

"I'm not telling you to drink. We're there to take a peek!" She's so excited about it. So she won't back down this time. Pulling the cool boy forcefully, she didn't give him any chance to protest.

Sneaking into the bar was something they hadn't done before. High school student was not allowed to come here. If the school found out about this, they would be in big trouble. That aside, they properly had to face Mitsuru's 'execution' first.

But that wouldn't stop Hamuko. Minato thought inwardly as he saw the expression she had. For now, he had to accompany her, to whatever they might end up with.

He sighed, Why I have to do this?

Inside the bar was quite dark. That's what the bar was, right? People drunk and danced, the smell of alcohol filled the air, making Hamuko frowned at it. It didn't smell pleasant to her who hadn't been able to touch alcohol. The music was loud, and people only concentrated on their dance, none really noticed them. But still, Hamuko knew they're pretty stood out with the school uniform. So she had to be very careful.

"Hey Hamuko, there's a stair." Minato pointed their left side.

"Yeah…let's go up there."

As they ascended the stair, someone finally noticed them.

"Hey, you there!" The guy in 20's shouted. He's properly the keeper of the bar, judging from the uniform he had on him.

"Gosh, let's run!"

"…Where to run?"

"Wherever!" They run up to second floor. The keeper was chasing behind them while shouted something. They couldn't hear it clearly as the music covered most of it. "Over here!" They hid behind a table and tried their best to fix in since the table was quite small.

And then, they smelled the alcohol from top of them. Shifting their position a little, they saw a monk sat in front of them. He's dozing off with loud nasal sound.

"God…it's smelly."

"You chose it…shh!" They stiffed hearing the footstep behind them.

"Do you think you can hide, kids?" The keeper grabbed their collar up, smiling—or rather snorted at them. "Get out of here!"

"W-Wait! We just want to take a look!" Hamuko quickly said. "We have done nothing bad, haven't we?" Winking, she squeezed some tears from her eyes. "Don't throw us out…please…?"

"Uh…no, no, no. Lady, you're such an adorable girl, but I can't."

"P-Please…! We don't want to go home yet…"

"What? This is not the place for you little couple to date." He looked at Minato. "What are you thinking bringing your little girlfriend here?"

Minato could sense the killing aura from the guy. He gulped, feeling extremely innocent.

Who brought who here!?

Could he yell at the girl?

Hamuko flinched meeting the cool boy's glare as she begging with those puppy eyes. She closed her palm together as a sign.

"…What's with this commotion?"

The monk awoke, standing up from the seat. The keeper grimaced and released the 'little couple'.

"It's nothing Mutatsu-san…"

"What are thinking!? You little punk!" Suddenly, out of the blue, the monk hit Minato on head. "Is that the way you address your father!?"

Minato covered his head. "F-Father?"

"Ha…that's it!" The monk dragged Minato to sit down beside him. "How long did you actually call me that?"

"…I think you're misunderstanding…Ooch!" Minato choked when the monk suddenly clapped his back, causing him to cough hardly.

"M-Minato-kun!" All Hamuko could do was gasping. She completely lost at the scene.

"Oh…my boy, is she your girlfriend?" The monk dragged Hamuko along as well. "You should introduce properly to me, you little punk!" And then, another hit.

"Damn…"

The keeper stared at them and sighed. He pretended he saw nothing and started to pity the 'little couple'.

"…Good luck on you."

"I'm sorry Minato-kun…"

Minato completely lost the strength to say anything, or angry the girl.

"Mutatsu-san seems to like you pretty much." The keeper approached them.

"…Was that the way to be called as 'like'?" Minato glared at him, who was smirking.

"Well yeah, he is." He laughed. "He even treated you as his son!"

"Hmm…excuse me, what happened to that monk?" Uncertainly, Hamuko asked the keeper.

"I don't really know about him. He always drinks here, but usually he's alone. I didn't see anyone with him. I heard his wife and son left him few years ago." Crossing his arms, the keeper took a look at the drunken monk on upper floor that currently was sleeping. "Maybe that's why he treated you as his son."

"The hell…" He rubbed his shoulder and head. He still felt hurt after that kind of 'torture'.

"Come here again. If you do, I'll treat you drink—any drinks, except the alcohol."

"Really!?" Immediately the auburn haired girl jumped up. "Hooray!"

"The hell I'll ever come here again!"

While they walked out of the bar, Hamuko's pulled out her phone as it's vibrating.

"Where are you two? Mitsuru-senpai is mad."

It's Haruka. Taking a check on the time, Hamuko gasped a little. She could imagine how angry Mitsuru would be.

"R-Right away!"

A punishment was unavoidable. They knew it from the start. But well, at least they passed it safely, without a scratch.

They heard from Haruka about what happened on the night. Yukari questioned Mitsuru about the truth of the incident ten years ago. Perhaps, in guilt, Mitsuru told them all the matters. It was her grandfather who started up the experiment of shadows, and it eventually caused the explosion ten years ago. From that, Dark Hour appeared, along with Tartarus, and also the twelve shadows they encountered before.

At the end, they came up with a conclusion: The Dark Hour will end after defeat twelve big shadows.

Hamuko only nodded at the statement, didn't surprised by it though.

That's why she didn't want to join the meeting. No matter what the reason, or how much she didn't want to, in order to get back their memories, they had to fight. Though she knew defeat the twelve shadows might bring something bad.

"Uh…It's almost summer break, do you all have plan?"

The dorm was so awkward, especially after last night. Fuuka tried to bring up some topic.

"Talk summer break, it must has cool breeze, white sand and of course, hot babes!" Junpei lifted his hand in the air. "It sure will be nice."

"Oh yeah, I will like to go for some of the beaches, like Okinawa."

"Well, it's not Okinawa. How about Yakushima?" Out of nowhere, Ikutsuki suddenly walked in.

"Mr. Chairman…"

"Mitsuru, your father will be in a vacation in Yakushima during his break. You all have some time off after the exam right? Why don't give him a surprise visit?"

"Seriously? We're going to beach?" Ikutsuki nodded, reassuring the capped boy. "Oh yeah, here I come babes!"

"Ow, man" Yukari groaned while Fuuka laughed.

"You're just a pervert, Junpei-kun." Hamuko teased.

"Hey, that's normal for a guy!" He took a signal at Minato. "Right, dude?"

"I don't know…"

"So, how about it, Mitsuru?" Ikutsuki asked the redhead again.

Mitsuru was uncertain. She wished not to interrupt her father's vacation, but at the same time, she wanted to see her father. Her father was a busy man. It's hardly he had anytime to spare for her. It's a good chance to her…

"Just go on, Mitsuru." Akihiko encouraged her.

"But I don't want to ruin his vacation…"

"What are you talking about? He will love to see you Mitsuru!"

"Yeah senpai! Please, I beg you…" The capped boy begged, earning a chuckle from the redhead.

"Okay, well, let's go to Yakushima."

"Oh yeah! I'm coming, hot babes!"

"Stop that Stupei!"

"I should go and buy a swimsuit…" Fuuka muttered timidly, tackling Yukari and Hamuko. "Do you have time…hmm…to choose one for me?"

"Of course Fuuka!"

"We'll pick the modest for you Fuuka!"

"Oh no…! Normal is fine…!"

"Haruka, do you have swimsuit? Wanna go together?" The poker face girl remained silence all the time by digging so much into the book on hand. She only lifted her head when Hamuko called out for her.

"I don't need that…"

"We're talking about beach here! Of course you'll need a swimsuit too!" Knowing what the poker face girl wanted to say, Hamuko immediately cutting her off. "You must come with us!"

Haruka said nothing, only let out a sigh. She wouldn't be able to refuse though…

Inside the command room, Ikutsuki seemed watching a clip on his own.

Haruka opened the door and came in, not even bother to knock.

"What are you doing here?" She walked to him, looking at the screen. "Is this…?"

"Not bad, is it?" The content seemed ended when the screen replaced by static. "This will help us a lot."

"…By changing the content?"

"I'm just doing what is necessary, that's all." Ikutsuki took out the clip and put it into a box. "After that night, all we have to do is gives them a little push."

"Do whatever you want. By the way…is that 'thing' still remained on Yakushima?"

Ikutsuki blinked a second before he understood her words. "My dear, what else you wouldn't know?" He smirked. "Yes, it is. Don't worry, it is asleep. It won't wake up for now."

Haruka narrowed her eyes for a bit. Would that 'thing' really remained asleep after the three of them being there? No, it won't.

If she wasn't careful enough, she might get killed.

…Hopefully, that 'thing' wouldn't try anything…

I thought I can finally write about the Yakushima trip, but…it looks like I wouldn't be able to do it. So, next chapter will starts up their vacation!
