Chapter 1
I looked at my feet as the bus pulled up at my bus stop. I stood frozen as it pulled up before hefting my body into a standing position and entering the bus. I looked at my feet holding the small golden locket that lay around my neck. The cold chain froze the skin around my neck.
My golden hair lay on my shoulder as my blue eyes stared out the window of the yellow vehicle as it left the spot outside the house I've spent all my 16, 17 in three days, years in. It was also the house my brother spent 8 years in. I had only been 5 the day I had been hiding in the ball pit when my brother and his friends when missing, breaking my small heart.
"Angel we are at school." A voice, my seat partner, said shaking me from my daze. I groaned looking at my golden gift before standing up.
"Okay. Let's go." I whispered quietly
My seat partner stared at my but nodded leaving the seat pulling me along by my sleeve. I groaned out as she pulled me.
"Stop!" I yelped pulling my sleeve out of her hand. She frowned.
"But angel…" she frowned. I sighed walking away from her.
Why couldn't she stop messing with me. I hated it. She never left me alone.
"Just leave me alone Mary." I groaned walking off the bus in a hurry. I kept walking until I got to class, my backpack balanced on my small hand shook as my hands held the only thing I had left of my brother. I missed him so much. Why did he have to go?
