Hello reviewers and readers. Thank you all for following and leaving reviews for me. I love hearing what you all think about the rewrites. Just to let you know, I have scrapped a few chapters and changed some of the plot lines from the original works.

Warning: This chapter has our Doctor going a bit "dark" for a time. I won't be adding The Waters of Mars episode to this rewrite, but there will be small mentions of it in the next chapter of this rewrite. So the Doctor going a bit "dark" in this chapter is meant to take the place of what he would do in that episode.

Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who.

As the Doctor carries Rose back to the Tardis he fails to realize that Jack Harkness is not following him. He also fails to hear a gunshot ring out through the stone carved hallways. Staying focused on getting Rose to safety the Doctor doesn't realize he is being followed. Weaving his way through the carved hallways, the Doctor has many different possibilities running through his head and for a brief second he thinks that he feels a familiar presence in his mind. But when he does reach out to the presence, it is no longer there.

Turning a corner, the Doctor sees the Tardis, but standing in front of it is someone who the Doctor has never wanted to deal with again.

"Doctor."

"Black Guardian."

"I am surprised to see you looking so young. When last we saw each other, you were looking much older. So which body is this one?" The Black Guardian asks, keeping his eyes locked on to the Doctor.

The Doctor remains silent and tightens his hold of Rose's body. Not knowing what or who else could be here, the Doctor doesn't want to risk them getting their hands back on Rose. Deep within him, brewing in agitation, is the Oncoming Storm which wants to be released.

The Black Guardian watches in fascination as the Doctor appears to be at war with himself. During the Time War, the Black Guardian remembers hearing rumors that the Doctor had stayed out of the war until it reached Gallifrey. Then rumors spread throughout the universe that a single Time Lord was still alive had caught his attention and with a female companion who the Time Lord protected fiercely. At the time, the Black Guardian knew that the lone Time Lord was his old nemesis. Having become bored by the small chess moves that the White Guardian played to check his moves in the universe, he decided to tap into the Doctor's future and use several unknown enemies of the Doctor's to unleash chaos. Especially during a time when the Doctor would not know who these enemies were, yet.

"Why are you here? Isn't all this beneath you?" The Doctor snarls out in a deadly tone, the Oncoming Storm rising up to the surface.

"Would it surprise you to know that I am here because of you. Or should I say of what you will become. Your time is coming to an end, Doctor. And for some of your enemies, it can't come soon enough." The Black Guardian states with a wide, sinister smile. "What many of your enemies didn't know was just how important your companion is to you. I was shocked to see the evidence myself, your unborn child. But then again, you and I both know that there is another child. Oh Doctor, my counterpart was smart to hide your son from me. And in a parallel universe at that."

Hearing that the White Guardian, one who he had once called ally, had a part in the separation of him and Rose causes the Oncoming Storm to take control. Setting Rose on the ground gently, the Doctor rises up and his dark eyes zero-in on the Black Guardian.

"You will stay away from my family." The Doctor's voice is cold, hard, and slightly electrifying as he snarls out the words of warning.

The Black Guardian lets out a chuckle at the sight of the Doctor becoming the infamous Oncoming Storm. 'Oh how the mighty have fallen.' He thinks to himself.

"Why should I stay away from them? Tell me Doctor, how many have died because of your interference? How many lives ended after you have chosen a side? How many families have been broken because of you?" The Black Guardian watches with glee at seeing the Doctor slowly break.

The Doctor's body begins to shake with both anger and sorrow flowing heavily in his veins. He knows how many lives he has brought to an end, whether on accident or on purpose. It is one of the reasons why he tries hard not to get too involved with the politics of a planet. Yet there have been times where he has been left with no other choice.

"You see, Doctor, don't you? No matter where you and your family go, they will always be hunted. They will never be safe and it is all because of you." Laughs the Black Guardian, knowing how the Doctor will respond to this fact. However, what the Black Guardian wasn't expecting was for another to step in.

Bad Wolf had used her powers to awake the sleeping body she shares. After hearing the taunts of the Black Guardian towards her mate, she used more of her power on destroying the drugs that were used to keep her vessel from waking. Slowly, methodically Bad Wolf rises up from where she was placed, and moves so that she is standing beside her mate.

"So the abomination has awakened at long last." The Black Guardian says as he looks at the glowing woman.

"You will leave my Doctor alone." Bad Wolf sternly says while keeping her focus on her mate's enemy.

"My dear, I have powers that far exceed yours. You are but a willful child in comparison to one as old as I am."

"She is stronger than you give her credit for." The Doctor retorts, letting the Oncoming Storm to take over as he takes hold of Rose's hand.

"And together we are more powerful than you." Bad Wolf lets her power grow as she speaks.

"Oh no doubt, no doubt. But you both seem to forgetting one simple thing. It isn't just the three of us here."

Neither Bad Wolf nor the Oncoming Storm had seen, heard, or known that there were others in the hallway as well. Standing behind the pair, and off on both sides, were several tall gray aliens that have been watching the whole exchange. As the aliens spoke to each other with several clicks, Bad Wolf looks away from the Black Guardian and focuses on these aliens that she has no recollection of ever seeing before.

Seeing that the abomination is no longer focusing on him, the Black Guardian decides that this is his opportunity. Using his own powers, he unleashes an attack that combines a physical sonic wave and a psychic attack together at the pair in front of him.

With his heightened senses, the Oncoming Storm places himself in front of his mate just as the attack reaches them. The full force of the Black Guardian's attack sends the Oncoming Storm smashing into Bad Wolf, sending them both several feet back and landing on the floor. Rising faster than her mate, Bad Wolf sends out tendrils of the time vortex flying out at the Black Guardian only to be sent flying away by his own power. Again Bad Wolf tries to use the time vortex energy as a weapon only for it to be sent away from her intended target.

"Foolish girl. Your powers are not as strong as my own." The Black Guardian yells out while deflecting another attack.

Off to the side, the Oncoming Storm has gotten up from the ground and is about to join his mate in battle when several of the aliens decided to attack him. The first alien uses some kind of electric energy against him as it grabs hold of his arm. The electricity from the touch causes him to yell out in pain, but instead of shrinking away the Oncoming Storm uses the buried knowledge of hand-to-hand combat against his attacker. Fighting through the pain, he throat-chops the alien followed by a punch to its chest. From the force of the punch, his opponent is sent flying backwards and slams into one of the other aliens.

Pulling out his sonic screwdriver, the Oncoming Storm does a quick change to its settings before holding it up into the air. A high pitch trill echoes out into the room, which causes the aliens surrounding him to grab their heads. Streams of gray blood begins to flow out from their eyes as they begin to fall to the ground in agony from the sound. Even though he can see that he has incapacitated his enemies, the Oncoming Storm takes it farther than what the Doctor ever would. He watches his hard, dark eyes as each of his foes dies on the floor. Once the last one dies, he turns off his sonic screwdriver and lowers his arm.

With his enemies dead, the Oncoming Storm turns his attention onto the other battle that was taking place. The ground shudders underneath his feet as he watches his mate attack the Black Guardian, as well as deflect any attacks coming from her opponent. He knows from experience that the Black Guardian is not an easy opponent to defeat. So he moves to join his mate in battling this foe.

As the Oncoming Storm comes to stand to the right of the Bad Wolf, he changes the setting again to his sonic screwdriver and aims it at the Black Guardian. Before his sonic is able to do what he wants it to something happens that would send repercussions throughout the whole universe.

A blinding white light comes out of nowhere and smashes into the ground between where Bad Wolf and the Black Guardian were fighting. The blast is so powerful that it sends both the Oncoming Storm and the Bad Wolf flying backwards down the large hallway. Both of them land hard and roll across the ground for several feet before stopping. Neither one moves to get up since they are now frozen in time.

The Black Guardian, however, rises up from where he had landed and his skin prickles in response to the time freeze. Knowing that he is not part of it, he turns his head to the right and sees his counterpart standing within a glowing bubble. The two adversaries stare at each other before the newcomer speaks.

"Now is not the time to exact your revenge upon the Doctor. There are more important things that concern us."

"You know as well as I that she isn't meant to be in this universe. They were never meant to be together, nor to produce offspring. It is upsetting the balance and you know it as well as I. You can feel the whole of creation and time itself screams out against this pair. You agreed that sending her to another universe would keep it from happening." The Black Guardian is seething in anger at this point of his argument.

"I know what we agreed upon, but what has happened cannot be undone." The man in white replies before walking down the hallway to where he has frozen the pair.

Leaning over their time frozen bodies, he can sense the power that is emanating from the blonde woman in her white medical gown. Bending down, he places one of his hands against her forehead and begins to erase the battle she participated in with the Black Guardian. Once the battle is wiped from her mind, he also wipes the images of the Black Guardian as well. Completed with his task, he removes his hand from the woman's forehead but not before feeling Bad Wolf's power growl in submission to his erasing of some of Rose's memories.

From there, the man in white reaches out his other hand and places it against the Doctor's forehead. He knows that removing the Doctor's memories would be pointless, so he alters them. He changes what the alien attackers looked like, knowing that to preserve what he can of future events that the Doctor must not know who these aliens are yet. Then he begins on altering the battle so that it would appear as if the Doctor was the one trying to protect his human from an attack. With the completion of his task with the Doctor, he can sense the Time Lords connection with the Time Stream and knows that he must release the time freeze. Especially since the Doctor would try to find a way to explain the missing time. Removing his hand from the Doctor's forehead, the man stands up and turns to look at other man.

"They will have no recollection of you or I being here. I suggest we leave."

"You can't be serious. We cannot allow this alternate stream to continue. Too many things would be changed and not for the better."

"That may be true, but I have left a suggestion in the Doctor's mind that will keep certain events in the future intact. When his time runs out for this body he will leave his mate and will not return to her."

"Ever?"

"I can't guarantee forever, but for a time at least. He will return for her when his time has come to an end. Now let us leave them with what remaining time they have left with each other."

"What about the power she wields? Won't she use it to keep herself with him?"

The man in white raises an eyebrow at his counterpart before answering. "The Bad Wolf knows that certain events mustn't change, and while I was erasing a few of her memories I was able to impart some of the important events that her Doctor must face alone. Bad Wolf wasn't happy about it, but I believe that she understands the significance of preserving the time lines and their events."

Somewhat satisfied with the answer, the Black Guardian opens his own portal like structure and goes through it, leaving to an unknown place in the universe. Then, turning towards the dead aliens, the man in white aims something at them that causes the bodies to turn into piles of ashes. Once he is satisfied that his counterpart has gone, he turns to look back at the frozen Doctor and human.

"I am truly sorry, Doctor, but the Black Guardian and I must do what we must to keep the universe from falling apart. I wish the universe would be kind and allow you to keep your family. Yet their presence is causing this universes' time stream to fluctuate to the point that us Guardians can't see its repercussions. I fear that your family may bring about the end of this universe and possibly the end of all time."

The man in white opens his own portal like structure and leaves. With his departure, the time freeze comes undone, allowing everything to continue as normal. Yet what the man in white didn't know was that in response to the blast, Bad Wolf has forced Rose and the Doctor into an unconscious state to protect them.

Lying on his back, with an arm stretched out towards Rose, the Doctor's body slowly begins to rouse itself from the forced coma-like state that Bad Wolf put it in. He lets out a groan as he slowly turns onto his left side and lets out cough or two. Letting out another groan, the Doctor is feeling a bit confused as to why the rage of the Oncoming Storm is not as strong as it was. For now, it bubbles underneath that carefully placed lock that the Doctor keeps it under deep inside. Blinking his eyes open, he is greeted by the sight of a disheveled looking, sleeping Rose. Unlike him, she is lying on her right side horizontally on the floor from his vertical position on the floor.

"Doctor! Rosie!" Jack's voice echoes from down the hallway.

The Doctor doesn't reply to Jack's call and instead crawls his way over to Rose. Being as gentle as he can, the Doctor slowly checks for a pulse against Rose's neck. Finding that the pulse is slow but steady, he gently places a hand against the small bump on Rose's stomach. Not feeling any kind of movement underneath his hand, the Doctor begins to panic about the child's safety.

"Doc!"

Looking up from where his hand is against Rose's bump, the Doctor watches as Jack bends down over Rose. In the former time agents' hand is a small hand-held scanner, which is currently taking readings of Rose and the child within her. The Doctor does a glance over of Jack, and isn't too shocked to see that his friend was shot.

Jack, feeling the Doctor's eyes on his death injury, looks away from the scanner and locks his eyes on the brown eyes of the Doctor's.

"Long story, Doc. But I can say with certainty that Morbius won't be coming after you, Rose, or your children." Jack tells the Doctor before looking back down at the scanner in his hand.

"But he did kill you though." The Doctor says in a gravelly voice before letting out a few coughs.

Jack doesn't look at the Doctor, but his body goes rigid for a second or two. He really doesn't want to explain to the Doctor about the woman he knows, that also seems to know the Doc as well. So he keeps his attention locked on the scanner, and lets out a heavy breath as it gives him the readings he was hoping for.

"Your daughter is stable and safe. There is no damage to the placenta, sac, or her small little body." Jack says in a relatively happy voice.

The Doctor lets out a sigh of relief in hearing that his unborn daughter is safe. "What about Rose?'

Jack has the scanner look over Rose and again the scanner shows no signs of damage or injury. Handing over the scanner to the Doctor, Jack slowly stands up and begins to survey the hallway. He sees the ashes of several dead aliens, yet the clothes they wore remained untouched. He can also see cracks within the rock structure of the hallway and floor. Then, several feet in front of where the three of them are is a large white scorch mark on the floor. This catches Jack's attention more than anything else.

"I killed them, Jack." The Doctor says from behind Jack. "They threatened Rose and my family."

Jack turns to look at the Doctor and sees that his friend's eyes have gone cold. He has only seen that look once, but not on this face. The last time was at the Game Station when the Doctor thought Rose was dead. Now he was seeing the same expression on this current Doctor's face.

"No one threatens my family, Jack. No one." The Doctor's voice turns hard as he speaks, while his hands turn into fists at his side.

"I agree. I would have done the same, Doc. But we need to leave this place." Jack says as he passes the Doctor.

Kneeling down, Jack carefully picks up Rose, holding her to against his chest bridal style. Not knowing if the Doctor is following, Jack carefully walks to the end of the hallway that the Tardis is currently parked. Approaching the doors, Jack hears the snap of fingers and is surprised that the Tardis opens her doors for him. Making sure not to injure Rose, Jack enters the Tardis while the Doctor stays outside.

The Doctor watches Jack take Rose into the Tardis before turning around to face the battle scene in the hallway. Something feels off, or so says his time sense. There is something else going on at work here, and this has caused his Time Lord senses to cry out in objection over what his memory is telling him. The only thing he can think of is that something has interfered and it is bugging him that he doesn't know what it is.

"Doc! Let's go!" Jack's voice calls out from inside the Tardis.

The Doctor turns his back from the carnage left behind and enters the Tardis. As the Tardis disappears from the hallway, a young brunette woman steps out from around a corner. She watches the Tardis disappear completely before walking towards the broken sonic screwdriver that the Doctor left behind. Picking the sonic up as if it were a sacred item, the woman cradles it in her hands before going around the corner again.

Placing the sonic into her pocket, the woman pushes back the military coat sleeve of her waist long coat. Pressing several buttons on her vortex manipulator, her brown hair billows out a second before she too disappears.

Back in Torchwood Hub…

"And that is how I caused the Big Bang Two." The Eleventh Doctor whispers as he watches his young son sleep. "I would tell you more stories, but I have to get going or else the other me will go bonkers at my presence here. That and he would know something is up. But lucky for us we have a person on the inside who knows what all happens and told me about it."

A quick flash of light and a small breeze pulls the Doctor's attention away from his sleeping son. Looking over at the young woman who has arrived, the Doctor gives her a puzzling look before placing himself between her and his son.

"Who are you?" He asks the woman.

"Oh. Sorry. I must have gotten the coordinates wrong again. A little early still for you, Doctor." The brunette haired woman gives the Doctor a smile. "But you're a clever boy. You'll figure it out."

She then tosses something at the Doctor before pressing the buttons on her vortex manipulator. Then the woman vanishes from the Hub.

The Doctor having caught his old sonic screwdriver from the woman, smiles as he watches her vanish.

"I can't wait to meet her." Then he proceeds to place the busted up sonic onto the computer desk before his own sonic begins to chirp in alarm. "Time to go. It's been fun, Jack. See you in a few."

Pressing a gentle kiss against his sleeping son's hair, this Doctor moves quickly to his own Tardis. Just as it finishes disappearing, another Tardis begins to appear alongside of where the other had just vanished from. Once it finishes its landing cycle, the doors open and the Doctor and Jack Harkness exit the ship. The Doctor makes his way over to his sleeping son, and gently gathers the boy in his arms.

"I'll go get Luke and Jenny and send them to you." Jack Harkness softly says as he watches the Doctor begin to carry the boy to the Tardis.

"Thank you, Jack."

Jack Harkness gives the Doctor a salute before heading elsewhere in the Hub to find the other two youngsters.

Yet what neither of the two males know is that both Luke and Jenny had hidden themselves in the current room, and had watched as that other Doctor. Both of them had listened to that Doctor's stories and had also witnessed everything else until this point.

"What do you think that other Doctor meant?" Luke whispers to Jenny as both of them sneak out of their hiding spot on the other side of the room.

"Something is going on, Luke. Something so big that Dad doesn't know about. At least, not at this point." Jenny replies as she looks at the spot in the Hub where the previous Tardis had been.

"But what about the inside person who the other Doctor mentioned? Who could that be?" Luke asks as he pockets the busted up sonic screwdriver. Then he heads over to where Jenny is waiting for him by the Tardis.

"I don't know, but I have a funny feeling that this other version of my Dad knew that we were there. Hiding during all of this." Jenny whispers to Luke as they enter the Tardis.

With all of her passengers inside, the Tardis starts her departure protocols and begins to dematerialize. Once she is clear of the Hub, she places herself into the vortex where she knows that her little family is safe.

Elsewhere in Time and Space…

"Did you return the sonic?" A female voice asks from the shadows within the room.

"I did." A brunette haired young woman replies. She pulls off the military coat and drops it to the grated floor of the ship that she is in.

"Good. That will keep the time lines from that period intact." A male voice says in reply from the shadows as well.

"There is still a lot of work that needs to be done, though." A different female voice says.

The brunette, unable to see who all is in the room, begins to shift nervously from foot to foot. This isn't what she had been planning when she had taken the vortex manipulator and used it to flee from UNIT's archive.

"Am I free to go now?"

"I am so sorry Clara." The male voice says from directly behind the woman.

Clara feels fingers being pressed against each of her temples, and she can only gasp in surprise before her mind goes blank. Then one of the females presses a button on the vortex manipulator, sending a temporarily confused Clara back to where she was supposed to go.

"You didn't need to erase the memory fully, Jack."

"I had to, River. If Clara had told Dad what all is going on, then everything we have done would have been in vain."

Raising the lights within the ship, the third occupant can see both Jack and River Song standing near each other. She rolls her eyes before letting out a huff, which captures their attention.

"Is there something you wish to say, Jenny?"

So there is that rewritten part. What do you all think so far? So I have given you all a little taste of a larger issue that connects all three stories of this series.
