Chapter eight
Amanda was driving home full of relief that Kurt wanted stay with her and keep the baby. She was still feeling a multitude of emotions going through her body. She had always wanted to be a mother. To have a boy or girl child of her own one day would bring her immeasurable joy it had always been one of her biggest dreams. She decided to head to the grocery store to aviod suspcion from her mother no doubt she would be up and about now and her father is still away on business. As she was driving her cell phone went off looking at the caller ID it was her mother probably wondering where she is so picking up while driving she answered
" Hello " Amanda said tonelessy to her mother
"( Amanda, sweetie where are you)"? asked Margolie Sefton over the phone
" I'm headed to the store I ran out of eye liner , acne cream and conditioner but I hit some traffic on the way there".said Amanda though lied about the traffic part.
"( Okay dear while you're there can you pick up some eggs ? we're all out")
" Okay Mom see you in a bit " said Amanda hanging up breathing a sigh of relief she turned her attention back on the road. She made to the store with no trouble but she had to be wary of everyone. Due to the fact that mutants are still world wide enemy number one and there had been public threats made to mutants from nearly all sides of bayville. Upon entering the store Amanda went straight to the produce section to get a packs eggs so she wouldn't forget. Then went to get some conditioner as a cover up so her mom would't get suspicous. As Amanda walked into the next isle her cell phone went off for the second time that day rather loudly at that. Checking the ID she saw it was her boyfriend Kurt. Smiling she picked up and answered.
"Hello Kurt " said Amanda
" (Hello, Lipchen I'm sorry to call so soon but-)" said Kurt was cut off
" No No it's fine what is it? is something the matter "? asked Amanda
"( No not really except the girls of mansion even Ororo and Jean wanted, to flat out kill or castrate me when they found out your pregnancy )" .said Kurt Making Amanda's eyes widen in surprise.
" You told them already"?
"( No , someone whom shall remain nameless cough Kitty overheard our entire coversation and..well you know how word spreads around here") chuckled Kurt nervously
" Oh, well did you speak to professor Xavier? what did he have to say"? asked Amanda
"( He was three things one, he was surprised that we did...that, even with his great powers he nor Jean didn't see that coming two he was dissappointed that we weren't more careful since we're so young and three he was happy we're going to stay together ")
Amanda didn't know it but someone a woman on other side of the isle was listening with great interest.
" That's great you had me worried for a bit I thought that they would kill you and I'd end up a single mother" said Amanda whispering that last part very quietly.
"( You, won't Lipchen and before I forget wants Dr. McCoy wants you to come into mansion for monthly check ups and such)" .said Kurt
" I could just go to a regular doctor can't I "?
" ( He thinks you'll be safer here with us rather than with a normal doctor, besides we need to keep this underwraps at least until you start ...showing") replied Kurt
Amanda silently giggled knowing what that meant she saw a picture of her mother attacking her father when she was pregnant with her blaming him for making her look like a beached whale. She would no doubt blame Kurt for making her like she swallowed a watermelon .
" Alright, when does he want me to stop by"? asked Amanda
"( Starting next month if possible")
" Okay I have to get going before my mother wonders what's keeping me"
"( Alright I love you")
" I love you too" replied Amanda smiling knowing she'll never get tired hearing him say that and hung up. Amanda quickly grabbed a few more things and made her way to the checkout line. Little she know the person a woman who she didn't know who was on the other side the isle watched her leave. The woman looked side to side to see if the coast was clear. And in instant she changed form to reveal hereself as Mystique the shape shifting mutant and Mother to Rouge and Kurt. She watching the human girl with interest as she walked out the door.
' Hmmm...maybe she can help me reconclie with Kurt and Rogue'. Thought Mystique as she changed form to an ordinary woman again.

End Notes: I would like to say sorry I've kept you all waiting. I've been occupied with this and that and even getting a new laptop. The purpose of this chapter was a way for me to have Mystique set herself on the road to redemption or rather reconciliation with her kids. I'll definitely have Amanda Rouge and Mystique speaking and little action to boot. And probably references to the avengers just for the fun of it. Let me know what you want to see next please R&R
