sorry for the late update ive been busy and...i have no excuse but i was bored one night and decided to stop reading others fanfics and read some of my own for a change and i read this and i thought "wow when will the author update again?" Then i reliazed wait i am the author so here you go also im working in my grammer and i think ive got it nailed down but since im typing this on my ipad which is a pain in the ass do not expect some good grammer sorry but enough babbling here is a overdue chapter
Serana woke up in the tent, which was strange condsidering how she slept on Alrek last night. She blushed at the moment last night i...slept on him... She got out of the tent it was day time and the fire had died down to nothing but some ash and ember. There was no sign of Alrek anywhere which made her worry, she checked the cliff they where at last night but he wasnt there. Suddenly she heard rustiling in the bushes, she turned around and pulled out her elven dagger and got her ice spell charged. As soon as the intruder stepped out of the bushes she fired her ice spell, but to no avail as her attacker quickly put up a ward spell
"you need to work on your timing and mabye check who your shooting first" Alrek said bringing his hand down and disabling the ward. Serana smiled and brought her guard down "good, its just you" She said before sitting down on a nearby log. "I hope your hungry" Alrek said holding up 2 dead rabbits, earning a smile from Serana.
"Your cooking sucks" Serana said spitting out a crispy part of the rabbit she bit into. "How did you survive camping by yourself with your food?" She asked. Alrek shrugged "you get used to it i guess" he said biting into a piece of the rabbit
"hand me that other rabbit let me show you how to really cook a rabbit" Serena said. Alrek handed her the other rabbit he killed. As she cooked Alrek wandered around their camp for a bit, checking the nearby bushes and trees for any intruders. Meanwhile Serena was watching him, or more like admiring him. He had let down his pony tail, which used to hold his long pitch black hair. He looked young like her, despite the fact shes a vampire and is really thousands of years old, he was young and in shape defintely in shape. His muscles werent too refined nor where they unrefined but they were noticable.
"Somthing wrong, princess?" Alrek teased smirking at Serena, who blushed and went back to cooking
"N-no nothings wrong come here i think its cooked" She stuttered. Alrek walked over and began eating the cooked rabbit. His eyes widened as he took the first bite. "Wow! This is really good!" Alrek said with his mouth full
They ate the rest of the rabbit in silence, it wasnt an akward silence it was a calm one, soothing and peaceful. "So...where do you think the other Elder scroll is?" Alrek asked interuppting the silence
"my mother ran off with one though...i dont know where she is" Serana exclaimed "where do you think she could've gone?" Alrek asked
"well she ran away from my father so she most likely is in hiding...but i dont where she would be she stopped talking to me always saying that she was busy in that garden of hers" Serena explained with a sad look in her eye. Alrek thought for a bit before chuckling
"what?" Serana asked, tilting her head in confusion "what if your mom is hiding in side caslte Volkhair" (did i spell that right?) Alrek said "no wait thats a great idea! My father always hated my mothers garden, said it was to peaceful. She must be hiding there!" Serena exclaimed happily
Alrek looked at the sky and frowned it was getting dark "We'll move at nightfall, it seems to benefit us both" he said before turning and looking ar her "rest up"
If there was one thing that was confusing Serana, it was the last line Alrek said before telling her to go to sleep.
"We'll move at nightfall, it seems to benefit us both" it didnt make sense sure it was good for her, but how was it good for him? Unless...those wolf fangs she saw that one time. nah she thought probaly just a trick in the night.
But once again, Alrek had sparked her intrest as he walked ahead of her in the pitch black night with no torch but yet still somehow seeing the way. Serena didnt see him drink any potion that might've helped him. wolves can see in the dark...right? she thought
Serena ran into the back of Alrek who had stopped "whats the matte-" he cut her off by holding up his hand. A couple seconds pasted before he grabbed her wrist and hurried behind a rock. "Whats going on?" Serena asked in a hushed tone "turns out we were near my target. So instead of taking us to castle Volkhair, I took a quick detour" Alrek whispered "what!?" Serana hissed "i know, i know im sorry but i had to do it. Now stay here let me handle this" Alrek said, getting up and walking out from behind the rock. Serena watched from behind the rock.
suddenly 6 men came out of the bushes with torches and their weapons draw and surrounded Alrek "well, well look what we got here boys" one of them said before laughing with the others "whats the matter pretty boy? Surprised? Yeah well you dont know who you can trust nowadays can you?" The same guy said "Belruk..." Alrek spat "yep. thats me. the same guy who gave you the information about Nek" the guy whose name was supposedly Belruk said
"ill fucking kill you!" Alrek said before charging at Belruk with his sword drawn. Belruk tried to block, but forgot he didnt have his shield which cost him his hand. "Ah! My hand! kill the bastard!" Belruk said before collapsing in pain. Alrek blocked the first strike with his sword, before kicking his attacker in the abdomen which caused him to bend over in pain while Alrek brought his sword thourgh his attackers neck
his second attacker tried to stab him in the back only to be met by Alreks sword as he spun around lodging his sword in his attackers neck killing him instanly and sending blood spraying on Alrek
Serena watch in horror as Alrek tried to get his sword out of his 2nd victims neck as another one came up behind him. Alrek gave up and turned around and punched the other guy in the jaw before disarming him. while him and Alrek where fighting another bandit was coming up behind him with his sword drawn "Alrek! Behind you!" Serena screamed but it was too late. As the sword was driven thourgh Alreks chest...
