Heyo!, So i downloaded skyrim special edition for PC and i LOVE THE MODS! I CAN PLAY AS ARTOIAS THE ABYSS WALKER FROM DARK SOULS! However, the best mods like visual enhancement and marriageable Serana mods won't work with it. BUT BOY is it easier to install mods on the special editon.

Anywho.

After getting back into Skyrim and playing the free DLCs that came with it such as Dawnguard i decided to start writing more on this story!

Hope you guys enjoy!

They gave a bountiful feast, mead, cooked vension, cooked salmon. There was no doubt the former remnants of its mead hall status still remains. She sat next Alrek and ate her salmon. gently while the others crowded around him and asked him about his adventures. It appears he had been away for quite some time and his friends were eager to hear about his many adventures. She noticed however, that the red-head from earlier was staring daggers at her while chewing. She would talk to Alrek but whenever his attention was elsewhere she would stare at her.

She didn't know why the whole Ex-lover thing bothered her so much, Its not like her and Alrek were lovers, so why should she be jealous?

"But enough about you! Why don't you introduce you're new travelling companion?" The man who she asumed Vilkas was spoke, turning towards her followed by the others "yes, Why don't you, Harbinger?" The red-head, whose name was Aela, said with a hint of toxic in her voice. Alrek must have noticed this because he turned and looked at her with a slight frown before back to Serana.

She gave him a nervous look, she didn't think it was a good idea. She wasn't sure what their standing on ancient vampires where. She hoped Alrek got her body language.

Luckily he did and shook his head and stood up "perhaps another time, but I'm not here for reunions, I need The Circle to gather in the underforge." He said. looking at Vilkas, Aela, and someone else who looked like Vilkas, only younger. "Is something the matter, Harbinger?" Aela said, approaching him and resting a hand on his shoulder and looking at him with concern, she gave a quick glance at Serana as she did.

"I had a recent transformation and...The after effects were stronger" Alrek said. Aela thought for a moment. "Was the transformation willingly?" She asked. Alrek shook his head and turned to look at her "No, Me and Serana were ambushed by Bandits, they did quite some damage to me...But I did some more back" He chuckled as he said that last part. "But lets head to the underforge" He turned to Serana "You done eating?"

Aela showed a look for disapproval "We can't allow a stranger into the underforge" Alrek frowned "shes a close friend, She can be trusted" Aela gritted her teeth "Fine" She left for the underforge. Alrek sighed and turned to Serana "Ready to go?" She nodded and smiled "Yeah" She stood up and followed him.

"You can't keep relying on your beast form as a second life" Vilkas said as Alrek explained the situation that happened last night. "It gives my enemys a good fright" Alrek smiled slyly, This only caused Vilkas to sigh. "Fright or not, this causes more damage than good, any fatal injuries you suffered prior to you're transformation will worsen after you're little rampage" He explained. "You must know that you're not invincible, Harbinger" Aela said. "Quit calling me Harbinger!" Alrek yelled at Aela, this sudden outburst surprised her and she backed away slightly before sighing and nodding "S-sorry...Alrek" She went and sat down on a stone altar.

Alrek sighed. "Alright thank you guys...I'll be going now" Alrek said. "Why not stay awhile? You must be tired" Vilkas said, Alrek turned towards Serana for conformation "Sure, I could enjoy a real bed" She answered, smiling.

"All the time...I swear this is like a curse..." Alrek said as Vilkas explained the bed situation, adding that there were on sleeping rolls either. "Why not just use Skjors room?" The man who introduced himself as Farkas said. Aela grew slightly furious at this "No! No one uses Skjors room!" She exclaimed. Everyone just stood silently before Alrek spoke up "Its okay, I wasn't gonna do that anyway" He said patting her on the arm. This didn't bother Serana, he was just being his usaul caring self.

"We could do what we use to do at Inns, and just sleep in the same bed" She offered, slightly blushing. Aela gritted her teeth again "I'll be in my quarters" She said slightly walking away.

"Right well that seems to be a good idea...If you two are used to it" Vilkas said.

After that everyone retreated to their proper sleeping quarters, leaving Alrek and Serana in the hall just outside of the Harbingers room.

"You have a lot of secrets don't you? Anything else I should I should know about?" Serana teased, it was amusing how much titles her companion had.

"Nah, pretty soon I'll gain the title Savior of the Sun" He said, looking down at her. "And what I'll be the sidekick?" She added, smirking wryly. "We'll see, for now lets get some rest" He finished turning around and walking to the room and began removing his armor until he was in nothing but pants, after he which climbed in bed, she shyly followed shortly after.

He had this dream many times, but each time it got more clear ever so slightly.

It started with him down by a lake, behind him was a massive manor. He was staring out over the lake, then he would peer down at the water. Gazing at his own reflection. Then suddenly his reflection became blurry and it was replaced by a man in a golden mask, the water would get a sickly green and black tentacles would burst out and grab him. Pulling him under. When he came to his senses he was trapped in complete darkness, tentacles surrounding him, restraining him. The man with the golden mask would appear and approach him. He would then speak to him.

"You are a false"

Then everything went black.

He jerked up right, awake and in a cold sweat, breathing heavily. Serana shifted beside him and turned to look at him.

"Alrek you okay?" She asked, she didn't dare touch him. Divines knew she wanted to, but decided that it would only worsen his current situaiton.

He caught his breath then spoke without turning to her "Yeah just...A bad dream..." He said. "I need some fresh air I'm gonna be outside for a bit" He said, getting up walking out the room.

She wanted to follow him, but decided that some alone time would do him good. Plus she didn't know where they stood, or if the problem was personal. She decided to go back to sleep but couldn't, so she decided to lay awake and wait for his return.

It wasn't cold outside. Nor was it hot, it was just right he walked out into the training yard. The memory of his induction into the Companions played in his mind and he smiled slightly.

He walked toward the wall of the training dummies and leaned against it.

"What brings you out so late" Asked a feminine yet strict voice. He looked up and saw Aela with her legs dangling off the edge of the roof. He saw no reason to lie.

"I had a nightmare" He answered, walking towards the roof until he was under her, looking up at her. "About?" She asked again, He chuckled slightly "I'm afraid I don't even know" His neck started to hurt so climbed up onto the roof via nearby barrels. He walked over and sat next to her.

"What brings you out so late?" He asked her. She remained silent for a bit before opening her mouth to speak "Serana...Who is she?" She asked without looking at him and staring at the ground.

He can't remember when Aela became this bashful, perhaps the divorce did more to her than he expected.

"She's just a friend, I need her help with this quest I'm on" He answered. "Another quest to save Skyrim I bet..." She said. "You would be correct..." He confirmed.

They remained in silence for a while before Aela spoke up "Why did you leave me? Why did you leave us?" This question took him surprise, He never gave her a straight answer as to why he had to leave...Or why they divorced.

"I...Wasn't ready for a marriage...I've never had to rely on anyone else and I noticed I liked it that way..." He answered. "But now you're traveling with her" Aela said. She was talking about Serana, he didn't know how to answer that. He had just said he liked traveling alone, but here he shows up with a traveling companion after being gone for 5 years.

"I still care about you Aela, maybe not in the way you want me to...But..." He didn't know what to say. He was never good with these kind of situations. Aela only smiled and turned to look at him "Its okay, Just something else I have to get over..." She answered, a bit of pain in her eyes.

He wished he knew how to deal with this situation. He could take on entire armies, wipe out legions of the undead, but once a girl was involved he didn't know what to do.

"Hey just promise me that you'll still be my friend" She added. "If you can promise me that...Then that would really mean a lot" He smiled "Of course." He answered.

He figured it was about time to go back in, he asked if Aela was coming in as well "Nah, I'll stay out here for a bit longer" She answered He nodded and went back inside where he found Serana waiting for him on the bed. She smiled when she saw him.

"Feeling better?" She asked, tilting her head slightly. He nodded "Yeah..." He decided not to mention Aela, he didn't know why but something told him it wasn't a very good idea.

He laid back down and got under the covers, Serana followed suite and they both turned their backs to each other like they always did, seems they both were still shy about sleeping in the same bed.

But that voice echoed in his head.

"You are a false"
