Please don't be mad at me! I know I've made a lot of you frustrated, and I'm so so so sorry! I'm already working on Chapter 10, and my goal is to have it online by next Saturday. I hope this helps make up for it at least a little bit! Happy New Years!

"...Miss Callaghan isn't awake yet, but I'll allow you all to stay in the room, as long as you stay out of the nurses way."
Tommy and the others stood up and gathered around the doctor. "How is she, Doc?"
" She has some first degree burns from her close proximity to the explosion. She also had some shrapnel in her right arm and in her neck, but there shouldn't be any permanent damage, she just needs a few days to rest." The teams let out a sigh of relief. "However she did ask to see her brother before you guys, so I don't know if you have any way to get in contact with him..?" Sam and the rangers looked at Jason expectantly as the rest of Team One looked on in confusion. Jason stepped forward. "I'm the brother she's referring to." The doctor nodded before addressing them all. "Well, if the rest of you don't mind staying here then I can take him back and he can come get you when they're ready." Sam and the rangers nodded before returning to their seats, and Team One hesitantly followed, looking at Jason suspiciously. He nodded to the rangers once, before following the doctor back into the recovery ward.
~Jules' Room~
"There's bandages wrapped around most of the right side of her body, but once the burns and cuts heal, we'll remove those. She also has a nasal cannula to make breathing easier for her, but that's just a precaution." Jason nodded and shook the doctors hand before walking into the room. He smiled as he saw his sister slowly waking up. "Kim? Can you open your eyes for me?" After half a minute of struggling, Kim opened her eyes, quickly taking in her surroundings. Quickly remembering the night's events, she groaned. Jason stood up and began hovering over Kim. "You okay, sis?" She looked at Jason. "We're in some deep shit." Jason raised his eyebrow. "Care to explain?" Kim sighed, rubbing her temples with her non-injured hand. "Get the other rangers in here. I'd like to only have to explain it once. Jason's eyebrows knitted together in concern. "Why the rangers?" Kim tensed. "Ooze." Jason paled and jumped up to get the others. "I'll be right back, ok?" Kim nodded and laid back against her pillows, sighing in concentration.
~Waiting Room~
"What could be taking him so long?" Ed paced in front of his team and the rangers. "And since when does Jules have a brother?" Sarge, fed up with his TL, stood up and stopped Ed in his tracks. "Jules is fine, Eddie. Can you please sit down and relax for once? I'm sure Jason will come and get us as soon as-" Sarge was interrupted by Jason bursting through the doors and heading directly to the rangers.
~With Jason and the Rangers~
Tommy and the others stood as Jason came towards them, taking in the serious look on Jason's face. "Jase, is Kim ok?" Jason glanced as the SRU team joined them, curiosity spiking. "Ooze." he muttered, causing confusion and fear throughout the group. Jason glances at Sergeant Parker, as fear came across his face. They exchanged looks of understanding, and he turned back to Team One. "Guys I need you to go back to the station and wait there." As the team began to protest, Greg looked at Ed. "That's an order, Constable Lane." That silenced the group, and Eddie sent his boss a sharp look before turning to his team. "Team One, move out." He turned and nodded to the others before following his team out to the trucks.
Once Ed and the team left, Sergeant Parker turned to the rangers, a solemn look on his face. "Let's go talk to Kim." At the rangers surprised glances, he rolled his eyes. "You don't seriously think Kim kept me out of the loop, did you? I'm the one who created her fake identity in the first place." The rangers relaxed and smiled at Greg before they turned and headed towards Kim's room.
~Kim's room...again~
Kim smiled as the door opened and the rangers and her boss filed into the room. "Hey guys." Sarge smiled and went over to the bed, leaning over and giving Kim a kiss on the forehead. "How're you doing kiddo?" Kim smiled. "I'm good, Greg. Did Jason tell you all what I said?" Jason was the one who answered. "Yes, but we would like a little clarification on that, if you wouldn't mind." Kim frowned in frustration before turning to the rangers. "Backstory, or short version?" Tommy and Jason looked at each other and shrugged before Tommy looked at Kim. "Backstory, for Sergeant Parker's benefit." Kim nodded before gesturing to the multiple chairs around the room. "You guys might as well get comfortable...this is going to take awhile."
