Disclaimer: I don't own Flashpoint, or Power Rangers, unfortunately. ZAPU and Callaghan Corporate are mine, but that's about it!
Kim pointed the group towards the living room. "Try and find a place to sit. I'm gonna start pulling together a lunch for this broad. Rocky and females with me. She commented "Boys, try not to kill each other?"
Zack smirked. "No promises!" She rolled her eyes and flipped him the bird before kissing Sam on the cheek and heading into the kitchen with the girls and Rocky.
As the group admired the huge kitchen, Kim walked over to Rocky. "Make a list of things you need for the kitchen, both here and on the island. You're the cook in the group after all." Rocky grinned. "Ah, how the tables have turned. Are you sure you have the financial stability for that?"
Kim smirked. "My college fund never got used and I'm a multi-millionaire due to the Pan Globals and Olympics, so yeah, I'd say I'm on a relatively solid financial ground right now.
Rocky's jaw dropped. "Holy crap, Kim. You haven't invested any of it?"
She smiled. "Sam's going to be mightily surprised after today." Rocky nodded thoughtfully. Then a metaphorical lightbulb lit up.
"Wait a sec. You said your last name was now Callaghan, right?" Kim smirked. Rocky looked at her with wide eyes. "As in Callaghan Corporate? The third largest tech and medical company in the world?" A grin came onto the original pink's face. "We'll talk about this more later. Get the food list together, and then get a meal together for the rest. They will help." She winked and clapped him on the shoulder before walking out to the living room and plopping down on the couch between her husband and Spike.
"Rocky's getting a list of stuff we'll need for the base, we'll pick it up on our way. So what's the plan?" She looked towards Jason. Jason gave a grim smile. "We need to get everyone onto the island and secured in the compound. I don't just mean us, I mean other ranger teams, allies, tech ops, analysts. Everyone ever associated with us."
Kim frowned and looked at her SRU team. "I thought this was just another villain. We've battled Ooze before, what's different about it this time?" Tommy exchanged a look with Adam and Katherine before speaking. "We don't have the same security, tracking equipment, and satellite capabilities that Zordon had. I mean sure Billy and the other techs can create some stuff, but-"
Kim held up a hand and leaned forward. "Zordon is still on our side though, right? All we have to do is contact Eltar and teleport him here..." She trailed off as her old friends looked at each other uneasily.
One look at Tommy's saddened face had her standing. "No." Zack stood and walked to her placatingly. "Kim. We tried to contact you, but..." Putting his hands on her arms he watched as she began tearing up. "I'm so sorry." She shook her head in denial. "You're lying. Please tell me you're lying. Billy!" She looked at the man she'd known since birth. His sympathetic expression made her start crying. Feeling a hand on her shoulder she was pulled into her husband's arms as she began sobbing.
The room was silent as the Original Pink Ranger mourned the loss of the man she saw as her father. The girls and Rocky walked in from the kitchen. Rocky looked around. "What happened?" Adam looked at him. "Kim didn't know about Zordon." He frowned and walked over to where the crying former second in command stood. Sam looked up and studied him for a moment before slightly nodding and whispering in her ear. She nodded and was passed over to Rocky. Sam turned to the team. "I'm going to pick up Sadie." Spike, Ed and Leah looked to Greg. "Go. I'll stay with her." The four SRU officers exited the house and headed towards one of the SUVs and headed over to the daycare center, sorrow and grief for their mourning teammate in their heads, and hearts.
Meanwhile, back at the Braddock household, Kim raised her head from where it was resting on Rocky's chest. She took a few deep breaths and stepped away from the former Zeo Ranger.
Jason looked at Greg, who nodded and stood. Walking over to his protege, he put his hand under her chin and lifted it so she was looking in his eyes. "We need to go." She nodded and smiled in thanks before taking a final breath and turning to the others. "We're not finished discussing this. But there are more pressing issues we have to deal with at the moment." She looked at Jason. "For example, you mentioned an island." Jason smirked. "Lucky Charms over there has a finesse for reforming his arch enemies. This one just so happened to be a multimillionaire with an island as an evil lair." Tommy glared at his best friend as laughter spread throughout the room. Kim glanced down at her phone as it rang. "Excuse me, I need to take this."
Her former teammates watched as she quickly walked into the kitchen. "This is Jules."
"Jules, it's Mike. Our branch in Toronto is under attack. You need to get down there." She paused for a second before jumping up and running out to the living room and putting the phone on speaker.
"Say that again Mike?" Her guests looked at the phone curiously.
"The Toronto Branch, I just got news that it's under attack by a bunch of purple alien things. It's bad. I know you're not properly equipped but your team is the best Toronto's got." She nodded. "We're on our way. I'll keep you updated." Hanging up, she looked at the ceiling. "ZAPU, we need the morphers! Alert the others as well and have them meet us at the scene."
A panel in the wall opened up and a silver briefcase was revealed. Grabbing the case, she turned to Sarge. We're taking the SUV. Take my Jeep and follow with anyone who doesn't fit in the SUV. Re-route the guys towards the Downtown Business District." Sarge nodded and caught the keys as they were tossed to him. She turned to her friends. "Ready to ranger up again?" At their hesitant nods she smirked and jogged out to the SUV. Getting in the passengers seat, she motioned for Tommy to drive and the others to pile in.
Tires squealing, they raced off to face Ooze once more.
