A/N: I own Nothing but the Plot! This is the Last chapter for this story. I still am not sure if I'm going to continue with another one or not yet.

Chapter 18

Lissa

It was about two days later that Rose woke up for good. She was her usual grumpy self before she ate, complaining that it was too early to do anything. I got her to get up and walk around after a bit of bribing on my end.

Dimitri has been a little off since the battle, I think it's because Rose threw herself into danger to protect me without asking him for help. Instead, she took off. He can't stay mad at forever. That's what she does. She acts first and thinks about the consequences later.

Rose

Lissa has been hounding me to get up and walk around. I don't mind it. What I do mind is the fact that Dimitri, Mason, Eddie, and Jesse have been avoiding me. I don't know what I did to them.

I eventually got Lissa to let me run off my steam, as I ran I thought about everything. There was a wooded area much like the maze we had escaped, but with less beat up and bloodied trees due to me punching them in frustration. Taking a quick sweep of the glade and making sure that no one was paying attention, I darted into the trees.

My plan was simple enough. I was going to hide out here until it was dark enough and the doors were about to close. Since there was a door right by the edge of the woods, it made it easy for my plan to formulate. I was tired of being stuck in a maze. I needed to get everyone out. No matter the cost again.

"I didn't think I would find you out here alone." I turned around to see Mason.

"Yeah, well, it seems to be the only place I can get some peace and quiet without people hoovering over me making sure that I didn't get hurt again." I sighed. "I know it's been tough on everyone. But it seems that no one understands that it is tough on me to have them sitting and waiting for me to snap. They don't bother asking if I'm okay or if I need anything."

"Maybe they aren't used to you needing something. It was cool as hell to see you fight, not even worrying about yourself like that. But when you collapsed everyone started freaking out and no one knew what to do. Not even Lissa." Mason says while running a hand through his already messy hair. "You gave us all a right scare. From what Belikov has been telling me, it's not the first time you have done this either."

I hung my head, I knew what he was talking about. The times I took off into the maze, no bothering to let anyone know my plan. Making everyone worry about me when I had passed out in the maze.

"Why have you, Eddie, Jesse, and Dimitri been avoiding me?" my voice came out small and vulnerable.

"I have been trying to keep the calm over the Glade here. Since you guys all showed up its been hectic. We can't find the door that you guys came in through." He says softly. "I'm not sure about the others."

"I'm going back in the maze to find the door." I blurt. "But I need it to stay on the down low. I know what section it's in. But the code for it this time is going to be different. Bring me your Keeper of the Runners. Please, they have the code, but they don't know that they do."

He nods absentmindedly. I stare off into space sitting next to Mason.

"Rose!" I hear someone calling me but for some reason my body and my mind are not registering it. Someone shakes my shoulder violently, and rather effectively pulls me back to reality.

"Why are you out here by yourself?" a very stern voice asks.

"Mason was here with me." I respond evenly.

"You're right, he was. When he tried getting you to stand up and walk back to the Homestead with him, you wouldn't respond." Its Dimitri who talks this time.

"Why do you guy hover when it's not needed? I'm fine. I just dazed into space for a bit." I stand up, effectively forcing the guy who shook me to move. "Look, I appreciate the concern, I really do, but right now, I am more worried about getting us the fuck out of here so that we can go back to our normal lives. If that is okay with you."

Without waiting for an answer, I stormed off. It was then that I realized that it was almost time for the doors to close for the night. I stopped just inside the shade of the trees by the door and slid down the wall rubbing my temples.

You can do this. There have been worse situations. I am pulled out of my self-prep-talk by the creaking of the doors closing. Picking myself up quickly, I brush off the dirt and slip inside the maze.

Making quick work of running the inner part of the maze, I start looking for section 7. I sent a quick thought to Lissa. After an hour or so, I came to section 7. The door was in the corner like my maze was. I punched in the code that had worked on mine and the door opened.

"Rose, what are you doing?" Abe asked.

"Getting a message across." I said "Look, I need your help. Please. All I need you to do is watch the cameras and when I get to the door open just that one. Not all four. I'm getting them all out of there tonight."

"Yes, Rose. That's no big deal." He says. "Just be careful. For everyone's sake."

I quickly agree and take off back into the maze. As soon as I get to the door, it opens. The door opening caught everyone's attention and they were quickly gathered at the door.

With true Rose attitude, I stood there with my hands on my hips and a man-eater grin gracing my face. I looked at everyone before striding confidently into the Glade.

"Well, how about we get out of here now?" I said to no one in particular.

"What do you mean 'get of here' and how did you get into the maze without anyone noticing?" the kid that had shaken me out of my daze earlier asked.

"I have my ways. And I mean we are getting the fuck out of here." I answered.

"Lead the way, Hathaway!" Mason said with a sing-song voice.

"What are you, 12?" I asked with a grin on my face.

He just nods.

"Well, then follow me, we are getting the hell out of here." I say happily.

We walk through the maze and I walked through section 7 to the door and punch in the code. Abe was on the other side of the door with a huge grin and his arms out to embrace us.

My mother walked into his arms. Shortly after they break their embrace, they both turned and embraced me. I sighed and let myself fall into their arms. I finally felt like my mission was complete. For the first time in several days, I could truly relax.

For the moment, it was all over. We were all safe and that was all that mattered.

A/N: hello my dear readers! Hope you guys enjoyed reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it. Anyways, I haven't decided whether or not to write a second book to this one. PM or review if I should.
