"Neh, Naruto-kun, stop looking at me and start working."
'Ah crap, how did she know I was looking?!'
"Uh, well, I was thinking about how to word a document that's going to Gaara-san." Naruto quickly lied, scratching the back of his neck.
By the way Ino looked at him with her eyebrow slightly raised, he could tell she didn't fully believe him, but she dropped the matter and continued with the other papers. A few minutes passed before she nonchalantly said, "you will have time to stare at me later at my house."
Smiling brightly when she heard a groaning sound coming from in front of her, she glanced up and noticed a tormented look gracing his features. Lifting a brow, she silently gazed at him and shifted her head to the side.
"It's okay, Naruto. If you can become Hokage, you can wait four hours to stare me down."
"You're so mean to me Ino-chan." He said pouting.
Giggling and shaking her head, she went back to the papers in front of her. Naruto pouted at her 'meanness' for a few more minutes before he sighed and got back to work. He wanted to stare now, not in four hours. Why couldn't she understand?
Minutes felt like hours, and by the end of the four hours, days had passed. Naruto had somehow managed to do most his work, half distracted, but it was finished. Forcing himself to focus was half the problem. Ino kept letting out small sighs that sounded just shy of being sexual to keep him on edge. He wasn't sure if she did it on purpose or what, but Kami it was starting to wear on him. Trying not to think about other activities that could produce those sounds, Naruto read the same sentence four times before he realized it.
Groaning, he laid his head on his desk. Peeking up at Ino when she sighed, yet again, he simply watched her. Her cheeks puffed out a bit from concentration. Her lips were pursed and eyes narrowed.
'How is she so beautiful? It's so unfair.' Naruto mentally pouted.
Ino had looked over to the clock when the paper was filled out, and seeing that it was five o'clock, looked over to Naruto. Giggling when she seen him looking up at her with his head on the table.
"Are you done with that paper, Naruto-kun?"
Lifting his head, he shook it negatively, he couldn't focus on the paper with her sighing. Running his hand through his hair, he stood from his desk. Putting the forgotten papers in a pile, he straightened up his desk while Ino did the same. Walking towards the door, he grabbed onto her hand, and moved swiftly out of the building. Beside him giggles turned into full on laughter.
"Naruto! What are you doing?" She asked laughing breathlessly while attempting to keep up.
"We're going to pick up some stuff for you then we're going to my house."
"Why are we going there? Why not just stay at my house like we planned?"
"Because I realized we'll be bothered at your house, and I want at least a couple hours of unlimited access to you." Naruto said, too busy half-dragging Ino through the streets to get to her house to filter his thoughts. With him focusing on his destination, he missed the deep red blush crawling up Ino's neck. Well, she couldn't argue with that logic, she thought exasperated. With Naruto's power walking the normally thirty-minute trek to Ino's compound was cut in half. Ino unlocked her door, leaving it open behind her in an invitation to come in, and went to her room to change into more comfortable items. Grabbing the first things to catch her eye, she began to undress. Shorts that might be too short and a tank top would work, if not then she would change.
'Might need to wear my civilian clothes, and just change into these when we get there. I don't want Naruto to deal with unsavory rumors because of me. I don't much care to be ridiculed, either.' She silently mused, moving to place the outfit she had originally chosen into a knapsack before looking through the drawers more carefully.
"Ino-chan! Why are you taking so lo-" Naruto's whining voice slammed to a halt as he came into her room to find her bent over looking for her clothes. He had expected her to still be clothed, not that he was complaining. The view was phenomenal.
"-Actually, take all the time you need." He managed to finish a minute later. Turning around to give her some privacy, he headed back to the kitchen, but not before he heard Ino's gorgeous laugh. About five minutes later Ino came to the kitchen to see Naruto had found her stash of Ramen. Setting her knapsack on the counter she moved closer, and wrapped her arms around him. Inhaling his scent, she relaxed against him, then moved back so he could turn around. Giving him a sweet kiss, she moved to go get some water when he grabbed her hips and sat her on the counter. Ino laughed, delighted by the surprise, and grabbed the back of his head to give him many small kisses around his face. Wrapping her legs around his waist, she began to kiss her way down his neck. She earned a groan when she lingered at his collar bone. His hands were just beginning to crawl up her sides when the alarm went off, the ramen was done. Sighing in slight disappointment, she giggled when she seen the look of agony on his face of having to choose. Making the decision for him, Ino slid down between the counter and his body, kissed his cheek and moved to fix the ramen. Setting it down beside him, she jumped back onto the counter in front of him and began to feed him. She laughed outright at his expression. He looked at her as though she was an angel, feeding him his sacred ramen and sneaking in kisses between bites.
"I need to go buy my dress for Hinata-chan's wedding. It's only in a couple of weeks, I should've already bought it, if I hadn't been so distracted." Ino said pointedly as they made their way to Naruto's house.
Chuckling nervously, Naruto agreed that they should go buy her dress the next day after lunch. He was the Hokage, so he could just wear his fancier Hokage regalia. Thankfully he was able to get Lady Tsunade to officiate the wedding so he could be with Ino. He still had to go up there and bless the wedding, of course, but he could spend the rest of the time with Ino.
"I'm so happy for Hinata-chan. She deserves every piece of happiness she can find." Ino sighed dreamily, holding onto Naruto's arm.
Naruto agreed wholeheartedly. Hinata was a beautiful woman inside and out, and he was happy that Kiba noticed the same thing. Looking over to the blonde hanging onto him, he thanked Kami for bringing her into his life. He never could've dreamed that they would be together, yet here they are, and all because he wanted to help her train that day. Feeling content with his life, he leaned over and kissed her forehead. The blush that answered was all the reward he needed.
Linking their hands together, Ino pulled away and adjusted her knapsack. Seeing as it was already late, she decided to bring clothes for tomorrow for when she visited Choji. She would be too tired to walk all the way back home, it'd be easier to stay the night. Glancing over to Naruto she giggled and got behind him while he wasn't aware. Jumping onto his back, she let out a loud laugh when Naruto let out a slightly girly squeak in surprise.
"Ino! That wasn't nice!" He whined, the pout on his face was audible. Sighing, he clasped his hands behind his back under her bum to keep her up in case her legs got tired. The two giggled to themselves keeping the conversation flowing until the met up with Shikamaru.
"Hey Shika, whatcha doin'?" Ino asked from Naruto's back, still giggly from Naruto's latest lame joke. Shikamaru's face held a note of irritation and resignation to it at her voice. She sounded so happy, she hasn't sounded that way since he was promoted to lead strategist, which had cut their groups already dwindling training time to nothing. Not being the source of that happiness anymore was becoming a hard pill to swallow.
"Nothing you should worry yourself about, Ino. Goodnight." With a nod to Naruto, Shikamaru continued on his way, not bothering to look back when he heard Ino laugh again.
'You only have yourself to blame. Genius, my ass.'
Ino slid from Naruto's back, and thanking Kami that she knew where they're headed, bolted in that direction leaving Naruto to sputter out in surprise. Within seconds he caught up with her, laughing when she looked annoyed at his speed. Raising an eyebrow, she pushed herself to go faster and did a little cheer when she actually managed it. Seeing Naruto's house coming into view, and Naruto catching up to her, she decided to have some fun.
"Hey Naruto! Wanna find out if there's anything else underneath these sweat pants?" She called out as calm as possible, as she was starting to run out of breath. As she was beginning to slow down, she was suddenly plowed into, and thrown over his shoulder. She shrieked in shock, she didn't expect this reaction. He was running as if there was a sale on his favorite ramen.
"Naruto! Put me down, you brute!" She laughed slamming her fists against his back in a futile attempt at being angry.
"No! I wanna know!" He said playfully, determined and strategic in his way of getting into his house as fast as possible without any hang ups. Smacking his ass in retaliation, she sighed and let her body go limp. Why fight it? At least this way she wouldn't have to walk the rest of the way. Letting her eyes roam down his muscular frame, she giggled as she began pinching his butt cheeks. Ino figured he knew what she was doing when he jumped, and pinched her back.
"Hey, I'm the captive here, you're not allowed to pinch me!"
"Oh? Well I'm the Hokage, and that means If I wanna pinch you I can!"
"Nuh-uh! That's an abuse of power!"
They continued their childish bickering on into Naruto's house. When he showed no signs of letting her down, she whined and asked him to please let her down. Her head was beginning to hurt from being upside down. Instead of letting her down, Naruto maneuvered her so that he carried her bridal style. Giggling, Ino told him she wanted to go change, and told him he should too. Sighing he agreed, but only if he got to hold her just like this again. Kissing his cheek, she slipped out of his arms and made her way to what looked like the bathroom.
This was technically her first time inside his house, she only knew its location because of the times she's had to drop something off to him. Pumping her hand in victory when the room she went into was indeed the bathroom, she began to strip down. For Naruto to be the Hokage, most of his house had a modest design to it. Nothing flashy, or overly expensive made itself a home in this bathroom. Well except for one thing, the tub was incredible. The design itself wasn't flashy, but it was huge, like a personal pool that could fit at least five people laying down. Dragging her jaw from the floor, Ino hurriedly yelled out to Naruto, "I didn't know you had a POOL in here! Can we get in now?!"
Not really waiting for an answer she began to turn on the taps and stepped into it. Hearing a laugh, she looked over at Naruto to see him leaning against the door frame.
"I didn't know that captives got to have luxurious baths with the Hokage." He said making his way closer to the tub.
"But I love taking baths, and this tub is so big! I would live in this tub if you let me." She pouted, then closed her eyes in relief when the hot water started to glide against her skin.
"Pleaaaaaase, Hokage-sama, lemme stay in here." She breathed out, relaxing into the water that was slowly rising.
Hearing a rustle, she smiled in victory before opening her eyes to see a naked Naruto settling down beside her. Blushing, she looked away.
"What's wrong? You said I could hold you." He mentioned when she squeaked, turning her to face him and pulling her against his body. He could wait till they got out to hold her.
Ino's face was on fire, she was sure Naruto could feel it where she was pressing her face into his chest. Naruto began to run his fingers up and down her back, hoping to calm her back down. The rising water lapped at her skin, relaxing her, and making her body lean into Naruto's more than it was. Feeling a kiss on her head, she sighed, and looked up into the smiling eyes of Naruto. She could get used to this.
I am SO sorry I didn't update sooner. First I couldn't figure out what to write, then it was like I couldn't write at all. But my internet went out, and my creativity came to help my boredom, and wallah!
But, anyways, yea I'm sorry about the wait. I actually didn't figure that this would get much attention, so thank you to everyone who has liked it this far! I'm not gunna promise exact updates, I write most of this on my phone, so I'm sorry if I didn't catch all the errors.
