Chapter 2- Not my child
"Are you excited to spend the weekend with your daddy?", Phoebe asked. A couple weeks had passed, and Heavenly was now allowed to stay over at Delante's house "Yes but I'm a little nervous", Heavenly replied. "why?", Phoebe asked. "I have never slept in his house before", Heavenly said. "I'm sure everything will be alright and if anything does go wrong you can always call daddy or uncle Leo", Phoebe reasoned. "I guess you're right", Heavenly said. "Alright you keep packing I'll go check on your sister", Phoebe said as she left the room. "Hello sister", Paige greeted as she entered Phoebe's bedroom. "Hello Paige what are you up to?", Phoebe asked. "Nothing really just trying to relax... do you think it's a good idea for Heavenly to stay over at Delante's house?", Paige asked. "Yeah I think it will be alright". "How do you feel about her staying over?", Paige asked. "To be honest I don't want her to go", Phoebe revealed. "Why do you think he would harm her?", Paige asked. "No it's not that... I'm just having a hard time being separated from her... I don't want to loose her... I know I sound ridiculous", Phoebe shared. "No you don't sound ridiculous you're her mother you are supposed to worry about her.. but she'll be fine and she can call Leo or Cole if anything goes wrong", Paige reasoned. "Yeah I just have to let go a little", Phoebe said. "Exactly and just believe that everything would work out", Paige advised as the door bell could be heard. "Looks like he is here", Paige announced, as they left the room. "Hello Delante", Piper greeted as she led Delante into the house. "Hello Piper how's it going?", Delante asked. "Everything is good thank you what about you?", Piper replied. "I'm hanging in there", Delante stated. "DADDY", Heavenly suddenly called, as she came running down the stairs. "hello baby girl", Delante greeted, as he carried her in his arms. "Hey Delante", Phoebe greeted. "Phoebe you look so beautiful", Delante said. "Oh thank you", Phoebe said, confused as she was only wearing sweatpants and a T shirt. "You know you look beautiful wearing anything", Delante said, as if he could hear her thoughts. Phoebe smiled. "Have fun Heavenly", Paige said giving Heavenly a hug. "I will", Heavenly said. "Bye sweetie", Piper said, as she gave Heavenly hug. "Bye aunt Piper", Heavenly said. "Bye baby love you", Phoebe said kissing Heavenly on the forehead. "bye mommy love you too", Heavenly said, giving Phoebe a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Alright let's go bye everyone", Delante said, as he and Heavenly walked out.
"Welcome to my home not much but it is home", Delante said. "It's looks... nice?", Heavenly said, trying to not to sound rude. Delante laughed bitterly. "What are we having for dinner?", Heavenly asked "Pizza it should be here soon", Delante replied. "OK thank you.. can we play with my dolls?", Heavenly asked. "Not right now", Delante said sharply. "Then what should we do? I also have other stuff". "Nothing let's eat first then we can talk about it", Delante said coldly. "Fine", Heavenly mumbled feeling disappointed. After pizza Heavenly brought out her toys to play. "Alright let's play", Heavenly said. "I'm tired maybe tomorrow", Delante said. "But you said you will play with me", Heavenly complained. "People can change their minds and as you can see my show is on so just play by yourself", Delante said. "not fair", Heavenly complained. "HEY RELAX I NEED YOU TO LISTEN TO ME I'M THE ADULT NOT YOU SO CHILL", Delante screamed. "Stop yelling at me", Heavenly said. "Or what? you are just a child you are supposed to be respectful", Delante said. "But you're the one being mean... I want to go home". "Why are you trying to ruin your mother's happiness why can't you just stop being a brat and behave yourself", Delante said. "Stop it I'm not a brat", Heavenly said, as she had started crying. "Would have fooled me only brats talk back". "STOP IT", Heavenly hollered. Then Delante slapped Heavenly on the back making her cry out in pain. "You don't talk back at your father... it's obvious that you don't learn manners at your mother's house but now you are going to learn", Delante scolded. "I want to go home", Heavenly sobbed, while she rubbed her back. "You better stop all that mess and sit down and I don't want to hear any crying", Delante said, as Heavenly sat down and continued to cry as silently as she could until she fell asleep.
The next morning Heavenly was having breakfast with Delante. "I am sorry I hit you... let me your back", Delante said. Heavenly continued to eat ignoring him. "Baby girl I'm sorry I didn't mean it I wasn't feeling myself... and to make it up to you I will play anything you want with you all day", Delante promised. "Fine", Heavenly said. "Now let me see your back", Delante said. Heavenly showed him her back, it was purple and bruised. "If mommy asks you got hurt alright", Delante said, as Heavenly nodded. "You forgive me?", Delante asked, with a big smile. "Yes", Heavenly said, as she gave Delante a hug. Meanwhile in the manor. "I miss my baby girl", Phoebe said, she was still lying in bed with Cole. "Same.. and right now she would be jumping on our bed doing dancing tricks and what not", Cole said. "I'll call Delante so we can speak to her", Phoebe announced, taking out her phone. "Hello... good morning Delante can I speak to Heavenly?... Hey baby how are you doing there... good... yes baby we miss you... yes daddy is here with me... have to had breakfast?... umm sounds good I love you baby... OK speak to you later on baby love you... yes I'll call you later bye baby", Phoebe said, as she ended the call. "How is she doing?", Cole asked. "Sounds like she likes it there", Phoebe said. "I hope he's treating her right", Cole said. "I hope so", Phoebe said.
That evening at Delante's house, Delante was getting ready for someone to come over. "I thought it was just the two of us all weekend.. alone", Heavenly said. "We are going to be alone with my girlfriend Tamika", Delante said. "I don't like it", Heavenly said. "You better start liking it cause she is coming", Delante said sternly. "Whatever", Heavenly mumbled. "What did you say?", Delante asked, as he grabbed her arm. "You're hurting me", Heavenly said. "Sorry... Heavenly you have to be on your best behaviour", Delante said. "OK", Heavenly simply said, as the door bell rang. "I'll get it", Delante squealed with excitement and Heavenly rolled her eyes. "Hey Tamika you look wow", Delante greeted, giving her a kiss. "And you don't look bad yourself... who's this?", Tamika asked, as Heavenly walked into the living room. "She's umm... my daughter", Delante said shamefully. "when were you going to tell me about her?", Tamika asked. "Today", Delante said. "Really Delante", Tamika said disappointed. "Really.. look it's a long story I found out my old girlfriend has a daughter for me and I am supposed to bond with her... but this isn't the time to talk about it let's just relax... please baby", Delante said. "OK D". "That's my kitten whiskers", Delante said. "And that's my deer kisses", Tamika said, as they shared a kiss. "umm eww", Heavenly exclaimed. "Heavenly what's the matter with you? stop being rude", Delante said. "I was just grossed out... and by the way I'm Heavenly", Heavenly said, as she put her hand out to shake Tamika. "Whatever", Tamika said, ignoring Heavenly's gesture. "What would you like to drink?", Delante asked. "Just water for now". "Heavenly go and get us bottled water", Delante ordered "Is it in the fridge?", Heavenly asked. "Don't be stupid of course it is in the fridge", Delante snapped. Heavenly sighed, as she left to get the water. As the evening went by Delante made Heavenly serve him and Tamika. "I don't like this plate I want a smaller one", Tamika said. "This is the third plate I brought you what exactly do you want?", Heavenly asked annoyed. "Are you talking back at me HOW DARE YOU", Tamika growled. "I don't have to listen to you you're not my mother", Heavenly stated "Better watch your attitude young lady", Delante scolded. "I don't care", Heavenly said as Delante grabbed her arm and took her to the kitchen. "What is the matter with you.. are you trying to ruin my date?", Delante asked. "She is the one that's being rude to me", Heavenly defended. "SHUT UP stop talking back", Delante scolded "I hate you", Heavenly stated, as Delante slapped her on the face. "Do you see what you made me do? I don't want to hit you but you keep pushing me". "I want to go home.. I want my mommy", Heavenly sobbed. "Stop being a brat your mommy is happy and now you want to ruin it... I never wanted you but you showed up... you ruined my relationship with your mother... I wish you were never born", Delante confessed. Upon hearing those poisonous words Heavenly ran out, as she continued to cry.
On Sunday evening, Delante dropped Heavenly off at the manor. Cole,Phoebe, Paige, Piper and Paige were home, Cole was relaxing upstairs and The sisters were in the living room. "Did you have fun?", Phoebe asked, immediately Delante left. Heavenly nodded. "What's the matter?", Phoebe asked. "Nothing", Heavenly replied. "Are you tired?", Prue asked. Heavenly nodded. Paige noticed the bruise on Heavenly's back when Heavenly took off her jacket but she decided not to say anything yet. "Come on let's go upstairs I'll help you unpack", Paige offered. "After you change and get settled I'll come and tuck you in and thank you Paige", Phoebe said. Heavenly nodded as Paige picked Heavenly up and took her upstairs. "Is is me or is Heavenly acting differently.. I feel that something might be wrong", Phoebe expressed. "what do mean?", Prue asked. "Well she seems sad.. I hope he didn't upset her", Phoebe said. "I'm sure she is fine maybe she's tired", Prue said. "No I think there might be something going on after she gets settled I'll go speak to her", Phoebe said. "Does she have school tomorrow?", Piper asked. "No it's a holiday it's family day remember", Phoebe reminded. "oh that's right... yay that means no work", Piper said. "Yes finally a day off", Prue said. Meanwhile in Heavenly's room, Paige had just finished helping Heavenly unpack. "Are you alright?", Paige asked. "I'm just tired", Heavenly said. "Are you sure? you know that you can talk to me", Paige said. "I know", Heavenly whispered, audibly. "OK.. just change your mom will come and see you soon", Paige said. Heavenly nodded in response, as Paige left the room. As Paige came out of Heavenly's room she ran into Cole. "what's the matter?", Cole asked responding to the expression on Paige's face. "It's Heavenly... I don't know hundred percent but I think Delante is abusing her", Paige whispered. "what? How is he abusing her?", Cole asked, as he could hear his heart pumping in his ear in anger. "I saw bruises on her wrist and back and she wouldn't talk to me about it", Paige said, as she wiped away her tears. "Come on let's talk to her together I'll get Phoebe", Cole said. "No I suggest we talk to Heavenly first", Paige suggested. Cole nodded in agreement, as they slowly opened Heavenly's door. Heavenly immediately wiped her tears. "Come here baby", Cole said as Heavenly immediately went to his arms. "Tell me everything", Cole said kissing her forehead. Heavenly hesitated. "Remember you can tell us anything we love you and we don't want anything to harm you", Cole said. "Delante was mean to me and he... hit me", Heavenly shared, as she started to cry. "Where did he hit you?", Cole asked, as he did everything he could to pull himself together. Heavenly then showed Paige and Cole her bruises. "Please don't tell mommy", Heavenly pleaded. "Did he threaten you if you told anyone?", Cole asked. "No he just said that if I told mommy it would ruin her happiness", Heavenly revealed. "That bastard", Paige cursed. "Don't worry baby... yes mommy will be sad but she will only be sad that he hurt you but she will be able to help", Cole reasoned. "OK", Heavenly whispered. "Paige please call Phoebe", Cole said, as Paige nodded and orbed out and after a brief wait she orbed in with Phoebe. "what's going on?", Phoebe asked, as she went and sat on the bed. "I'll give you guys a moment alone", Paige announced as she left the room. "Phoebe Delante hurt Heavenly", Cole said, as he tried to put himself together. " Oh no..What did he to do?", Phoebe asked, as she was crippled with fear. Heavenly slowly lifted her shirt to reveal her bruised back, as tears fell down her eyes. "Oh my God", Phoebe exclaimed, as her eyes glazed with tears. "when did this happen?", Phoebe asked. "It happened on Friday... he promised to play with me after dinner.. so I brought out my toys and he started yelling me... and then he slapped my back...and then he brought a girl over and she was also mean to me", Heavenly sobbed. "shh it's ok you're safe now", Cole soothed, as he held her tighter. "I don't want to ever go to house again", Heavenly cried. "Don't worry you won't be going there again", Phoebe assured. "He was so mean to me", Heavenly sobbed. "I am going to kill that bastard", Phoebe threatened. "We can get Leo to heal her", Cole reasoned. "Leo", Phoebe called, as Leo orbed in. "Can you please heal Heavenly?", Phoebe asked. "What happened?", Leo asked. "Delante was hitting her", Phoebe said. "Oh my God are you ok Heavenly?", Leo asked. Heavenly shook her head. "I'm sorry", Leo said, as Heavenly showed him her bruises, so he could heal her. "Thank you Uncle Leo", Heavenly said, as Leo finished up. "Thank you Leo", Phoebe said. "Thank you", Cole said. "Anytime", Leo stated, before orbing out. "come here baby", Phoebe called, as Heavenly un-embraced Cole and went into Phoebe's arms. "I'm sorry this happened to you but I'm glad that you told us about it... It is not your fault that this happened it is all Delante's fault.. no matter what I will always love you", Phoebe said. "I love you mommy and daddy", Heavenly said, as she wiped Phoebe's tears. "I love you too baby", Phoebe said. "I love you too superstar", Cole said. "Alright it's bedtime do you want a story?", Phoebe asked. "No I'm good", Heavenly replied. Even though Leo healed Heavenly physically, he wasn't able to heal her emotionally. "Are you sure?", Cole asked. "Positive". "Alright then get comfy", Phoebe said, as Heavenly laid on her bed. "Good night my cookie and cream monster", Cole said giving her a kiss on the forehead. "Good night daddy", Heavenly giggled. "Good night baby", Phoebe said, kissing her cheek. "Good night mommy", Heavenly replied, as Phoebe and Cole exited her room.
"Delante we need to talk.. I don't care you get here", Phoebe stated, before ending the call. "I can't wait to get my hands on that animal", Prue said. "There will no hitting anyone", Piper said. "I don't need to touch him to inflict pain", Prue said. "Prue", Piper called. "No body hurts my anyone of my family and gets away with it demons and all", Prue stated. "We need to first let him know that we are aware of what he did... then we can hurt him", Phoebe said. "Phoebe... no body will be hurting anyone", Piper said. "forget that", Prue said. "What if it was Wyatt", Phoebe said. "I love Heavenly like a daughter and I know he hurt her but we cannot take laws in to our own hands", Piper reasoned. "I'll try but I am not promising anything", Phoebe said. "deal... Prue?", Piper asked. "I will also try not to kill him and that's all you're getting", Prue said. "Fair enough", Paige added. 30 minutes later Delante arrived, and he was invited in by Piper. "Hey Phoebe", Delante greeted as Phoebe walked in the living room. Phoebe just replied with a half smile. "Is everything alright?", Delante asked, his voice soft and innocent. "Is it that you're dumb or what", Phoebe said. "what is this about?", Delante asked. "Why did you put your filthy hands on my niece", Prue asked. "Heavenly?", Delante asked. "well duh... not very bright are we", Prue mocked. "why did you hit Heavenly?", Phoebe asked, as she got angrier by the moment. "I..I didn't I swear", Delante stammered. "Oh save the lies we are not assuming you did it we know you did it.. I just want to know why you touched my daughter", Phoebe asked. "I didn't she played a lot and she must have fell", Delante said, nervously. "STOP LYING", Phoebe hollered. "I'm sorry I don't know what came over me... I have never been a father before and it got overwhelming", Delante said. "If you want to make excuses at least make them sound less stupid", Prue said. "I'm sorry it will never happen again please forgive me", Delante pleaded. "If you ever hit my daughter again I'll kill you... what am I saying you aren't ever allowed to see her again just get out", Phoebe said. "Please I'm sorry I don't know why I did what I did please let me get another chance with her... please", Delante pleaded, as he went on his knees. "How could you why would you hurt her like that... you know how hard her life has been... why would you do this", Phoebe cried. "I'm sorry please it will never happen again", Delante whispered. "OK stand up you'll have to apologize to Heavenly... and if you ever want to spend time with her again I need you to go get help for whatever issues you have", Phoebe said, wiping her tears. "I promise I'll go see a therapist... please allow me to see my baby", Delante said. "Heavenly come here please", Phoebe called. "Yes mommy", Heavenly replied, as she walked into the living room. "Delante would like to say something", Phoebe said. Heavenly gave him her attention "I'm sorry for being mean to and hitting you I was so stupid...please forgive me", Delante pleaded, as he went on his knees. "I forgive you", Heavenly said. "Can I please have a hug?", Delante asked. Heavenly shook her head. "Please if you forgive me", Delante pleaded. "If you want to give him a hug you can", Phoebe said, as Heavenly looked at her. Heavenly then went over and gave him a big hug "Thank you... and I promise to never hurt you again", Delante said. "It's alright... mommy can I go play now?", Heavenly asked. "Yes go ahead baby", Phoebe said, as Heavenly ran back to the sun room to play. "So Heavenly told me that she attends a dance studio", Delante said, as he sat down. "Yes I registered her in a dance studio... and she really has a talent so much rhythm", Phoebe said. "That's my baby girl", Delante praised. "Anyway for now Heavenly is no longer allowed at your house... if you must spend time with her you'll have to go see a therapist", Phoebe said. "I promise I will...I would have to be on my way", Delante said. "Alright bye", Phoebe said, as Paige escorted him to the door.
