Chapter 3- once upon a nine
"Mommy I have to have the best slumber party ever everything has to be perfect", Heavenly stated. "Don't worry baby it's going to be amazing and we can do our nails and hair it will be fun", Phoebe said. "yes I know... but", Heavenly said. "but?", Phoebe asked. "Kayla is coming", Heavenly said. "So?", Phoebe asked. "Kayla is the coolest kid ever and she's really good at everything she does... I really want her to like me", Heavenly said. "You are also really cool too and you don't a friend to verify that", Phoebe said. "You don't understand she always has the best parties and she goes to different birthday parties if my party isn't amazing she is going to tell everyone that her party was better than mine", Heavenly said. "If she's your friend why weren't you invited to her party", Phoebe asked. "Well we are sort of friends she said if party is cool then maybe I could hang out with her, Heavenly said. "Honey you are cool just the way you are don't allow anyone make you feel less than", Phoebe advised. "But mommy it has to be awesome". "It will but not because of Kayla the party is about you.. stop comparing yourself to her you are awesome just the way you are", Phoebe said. "Thanks mommy", Heavenly said, giving Phoebe a hug. "You're welcome baby don't worry we are all going to ensure that everything goes smoothly". "Is Uncle Leo going able to come?", Heavenly asked. " No I'm sorry baby Uncle Leo is training a future white lighter so he won't be able to come but he is going to bring a special gift for you", Phoebe said. "It's OK I know that he would come if he could... will daddy be there?", Heavenly asked. "yes with Aunt Paige and I", Phoebe replied. "No I mean Delante", Heavenly clarified. "Oh... I don't know I can ask him... do you want me to call him?", Phoebe asked, a little taken back. "Yes please", Heavenly said. "OK I will now it's bedtime", Phoebe said. "Good night mommy", Heavenly said. "night", Phoebe replied, as she kissed Heavenly and made her way to her bedroom. "She wants Delante to come to her party", Phoebe shared. "She is? but I will be there", Cole said, as he couldn't help but feel a little hurt. "I think she just wants to know him a little more", Phoebe said, as she put a comforting hand on Cole's shoulder. "I guess.. but you should call him first to make sure he can make it", Cole said. Phoebe then brought out her phone and called Delante. "Hello Delante... I'm good... she is doing great... yeah she is turning nine this Friday and she is having a slumber party from Friday afternoon to Saturday morning... and she wants you to come... great I will tell her... see you Friday... good night", Phoebe said, as she finished the call. "So he is coming", Cole said in great disappointment. "Baby it will be alright", Phoebe said as she went into his arms. "I know". "Baby no need to worry she loves you", Phoebe assured. "I know this sounds stupid but I just don't want to loose her", Cole shared. "You're not going to loose her she feels the love you have for her.. and she knows you love her and she calls you daddy because she feels that connection with you", Phoebe said. "I love you", Cole said. "Love you more", Phoebe said, as they shared a long passionate kiss.
"Give me the list of girls coming", Paige said. "Kayla Ava Tamara Victoria and Shaniah", Heavenly listed. "Shaniah? is her mom OK with her coming?", Paige asked. "Yes her mom is fine with it", Heavenly stated. "That's good then", Paige said. "How is my little nine year old doing", Phoebe greeted, as she walked into the living room. "great", Heavenly said. "You are getting big almost to double digits", Phoebe said. "I'm happy that my teeth are back", Heavenly said, as Phoebe and Paige laughed. "Yes you got that right", Phoebe said. "how is it going here?", Prue asked, as she walked in with Wyatt. "Good I'm so excited I can't wait to make this the best party Kayla has ever seen", Heavenly said. "Yes and it will be", Prue said. "Where is Piper?", Paige asked. "She is on her way from the club", Prue relied. "Don't worry I got Wyatt and Sophia is sleeping and I'm about to put Wyatt to sleep but I will be watching them", Prue said. "Thank you so much", Phoebe said giving Prue a hug. "No problem what are Aunties for", Prue said as she winked at Heavenly. "Thank you Aunt Prue", Heavenly said. "No problem baby.. and I'll be upstairs if you need me", Prue said as she made her way upstairs. "Now time for the main rules you can come upstairs but don't bring your friends upstairs you all can have the entire downstairs", Phoebe instructed. Heavenly nodded her head in agreement. "There will be no breaking of rules", Phoebe said. "Crystal clear", Heavenly replied. After 30 minutes Heavenly's friends started to arrive, the first to arrive was Tamara. "Hey Tammy", Heavenly greeted. "Hey Heavenly your house is really big and beautiful", Tamara said. "Thanks", Heavenly said. "Welcome Tamara and you girls can go to the living room and wait for the others", Phoebe instructed. "OK mommy", Heavenly said. "OK Mr.s Halliwell", Tamara said, as the duo made their way to the living room. All the girls arrived, except Shaniah. Later on the door bell rang to announce Shaniah's arrival. "Shaniah is here", Heavenly squealed as she ran pass Paige to get the door. "SHANIAH", Heavenly screamed. "HEAVENLY", Shaniah squealed. "Hello Nicole", Paige greeted. "Hello... thanks for having her over", Nicole said. "No problem...girls go to the living room", Paige said. Shaniah gave her mom a hug before walking hand in hand with Heavenly to the living room. "See you tomorrow", Nicole said. "See you", Paige said, as she closed the door. After all the girls got settled, the party started. "So girls are you ready to party", Paige said. "YES", All the girls screamed. "Is there going to be ice cream?", Ava asked. "Yes ice cream sundae", Heavenly said. "Awesome", Victoria and Ava chorused. Phoebe smiled, as she was dying of cuteness. "We are going to have pizza then ice cream and cake later... but while we wait for the pizza we are going to have Mr Turner come and entertain us", Paige announced, as the girls clapped. Then suddenly the sound of the door bell could be heard. "I'll get it", Phoebe announced. "So girls-"Cole started as he was interrupted. "Happy Birthday Baby girl", Delante sang, as he walked in with a couple presents. "Daddy you made it", Heavenly squealed as she ran in to Delante's arms. Cole couldn't help but feel a little left out. "I wouldn't miss it for the world baby", Delante said. Heavenly smiled, as Delante gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Wait I thought he was your Dad", Shaniah said pointing at Cole. "Yes he is but he is my real daddy", Heavenly said pointing at Delante. "So Mr Turner is your step dad then?", Kayla asked. "No he isn't her step dad he is her dad", Shaniah said. "umm girls why don't we move on", Phoebe suggested. "Yeah let's go back to the entertainment", Victoria said. "Nice to meet you I'm Heavenly's best friend Shaniah and I'm nine years old", Shaniah introduced. "Nice to meet you too and all of you", Delante said. "Nice to meet you", The girls echoed. "Where was I", Cole started. "um no offence but maybe I should take over you know being her father an all", Delante said. It took everything in Cole not to hurt Delante. "Delante", Phoebe called. "Alright we should let Heavenly choose", Delante suggested putting Heavenly in the spot. "I got an idea why don't we play a game with two teams Daddy and real Daddy", Heavenly said. "Say what?", Ava asked. "Oh I know what team Turner versus team Jackson", Paige said pointing at Cole and Delante. "What's the game going to be about?", Kayla asked. "Let's see... how about witches and demons", Delante said. "Witches and demons? but it isn't Halloween", Kayla said. "It will be fun", Paige said. "OK I'll play then", Kayla agreed, as all the other girls shared their agreements "I'll be in the demon team", Cole said, cracking his knuckles. "And I'll be in the witch team", Delante said cracking his knuckles. "OK guys calm down", Paige said. "What are the rules of the game", Victoria asked. "yea how is it played?", Heavenly asked. "Who knows how to play capture the flag?", Delante asked. All the girls threw their hands up. "Good except it will be called capture the gems... Heavenly do you have any marbles?", Delante asked. Heavenly nodded. "I'll go get them", Paige volunteered. "But marbles are really small", Victoria said. "I know that's what makes the game challenging and each team will be given special powers in which they could use against the opposite team", Delante explained, as Paige came back and handed him the bag of marbles. "Sounds cool let's play", Kayla said. "Alright after this game Heavenly's aunt Piper is going to bring the pizza and the cake", Phoebe announced. All the girls smiled in excitement. "Remember no one is allowed upstairs you can use the whole downstairs", Paige instructed. "Can we go to the sun room?", Heavenly asked. "Yes but you have to be careful in there because of all the plants", Phoebe said. The girls nodded in response. "Since Heavenly is the birthday girl she gets to pick which team she wants and I'll be picking for the rest of you", Paige said. Delante gave Heavenly his best smile. Cole just stood there feeling a little defeated. "I pick...daddy", Heavenly said, Delante smiled in victory "Which one?", Shaniah asked. "This one", Heavenly said as she went to Cole's side. Cole couldn't help but smile, as Heavenly winked at him. "Alright here are the teams... Shaniah team witches", Paige said. "oh I wanted to be on Heavenly's team", Shaniah commented. "Ava team Demons..Kayla team witches ...Tamara team demons and Victoria team witches", Paige announced, as each girl went to their team. "My daughter is so intelligent", Phoebe said to Delante. "I don't understand why she picked him", Delante said. "You can't buy Heavenly's love remember that", Phoebe said. "Let's make sure we beat the witches", Cole said. "Yea we have to win", Ava said dramatically. "It's just a game it doesn't matter if we win or not", Heavenly stated. "Yea it does winning is everything", Tamara said. "Let's crush those witches", Ava said, Heavenly rolled her eyes. Cole laughed. The game went on for ten minutes and the witches won the first round then the demons won the second round and it went on until Piper came in with the food and she also brought a surprise. "Grandpa", Heavenly squealed as she ran into Victor's arms. "Happy birthday angel", Victor said handing Heavenly her present. "Thank you", Heavenly said, as she gave him a hug. "Hello person I have never met", Shaniah said, giving Heavenly the 'you didn't tell me you had a grandpa look'. "I just met him a couple weeks ago", Heavenly whispered to Shaniah, as Shaniah smiled in satisfaction. "Alright first we have to sing happy birthday to Heavenly", Phoebe said, as Piper, Paige and Cole brought all food and everyone made their way to the dinning room. After the cake was brought out, everyone gathered, including Prue with the babies as they sang happy birthday to Heavenly who couldn't stop smiling. "Make a wish", Shaniah said. Heavenly closed her eyes, before blowing out the candle as everyone clapped. After pizza cake the girls had their sundae s promised, then Heavenly opened her presence while Phoebe and Paige handed every girl a small bag of candy. "I have to be on my way happy birthday sweet heart", Victor said. "Thanks for coming", Heavenly said, giving him a big hug. "Anytime", Victor said, as he waved at everyone before leaving. "The living room is ready you all can go get ready for bed", Prue announced, as she walked into the sun room where everyone was. "It looks like I should be going... bye baby", Delante said. "Bye daddy", Heavenly replied, giving him hug, as he said his goodbyes to everyone and left the manor. "You all can change in Heavenly's room", Phoebe said. After the girls brushed their teeth and change into their PJ's they all came to the living room where everything was set up. "sleep tight girls", Phoebe said, as she kissed Heavenly on her fore head. ''Goodnight baby", Cole said, giving Heavenly hug. "Good night everyone", Heavenly said. "night", The girls echoed, as the adults went upstairs, leaving the nightlight on. "finally they are gone I think we should do something", Kayla suggested. "Like what?", Victoria asked. "we can go upstairs", Kayla said. "we can't go upstairs let's just sleep", Heavenly said. "why not?.. what are you hiding?", Kayla asked. "Nothing but we aren't going upstairs period", Heavenly stated. "I will tell everyone at school that your party sucked", Kayla threatened. "No one will believe you other girls were here too", Heavenly defended, as she was automatically put into a dilemma on whether she should make Kayla happy or not. "They will say what I tell them", Kayla stated. "no they won't right girls?", Heavenly asked. "I know no one tells me what to do and Heavenly is my best friend... what about you girls?", Shaniah asked. Kayla gave each girl a look. "I don't know", Tamara nervously said. "Why are you guys listening to Kayla? she isn't your mom", Heavenly said. "You are just saying that just because you want them to be your friends", Kayla said. "I thought they were already my friends", Heavenly said, feeling hurt. "No they aren't your friends they are my friends", Kayla said. "Let them speak for themselves... well?", Shaniah said. "I don't know about you girls but I'm Heavenly's friend", Tamara stated. Heavenly smiled in appreciation. "Then you are out of our group forever", Ava said. "whatever", Tamara said. "I want to be friends why can't we all be friends?", Victoria asked. "It's Heavenly that's stopping the friendship she won't allow us to go upstairs", Kayla said. "Why don't we just check it out and come downstairs", Ava suggested. "No", Heavenly stated. "Fine friends off", Kayla stated. "Whatever I have Shaniah Victoria and Tamara", Heavenly said. "Victoria and Tamera aren't your friends", Kayla said. Heavenly just changed her sleeping position so her back was facing the girls, as she wiped some tears from her eyes.
The girls woke up with smell of fresh pancakes and sausages, they went to brush their teeth before getting some breakfast at the big dinning room "I'm so hungry", Ava announced. "Since both of you aren't my friends you don't get to eat anything", Heavenly stated. "And who are you stop us?", Kayla asked. "The owner of the house so just keep quiet", Heavenly stated. "Heavenly what's the matter with you?", Phoebe asked as she walked in with Prue. "Mommy Kayla said she will tell everyone that my party sucked", Heavenly said. "Kayla that's a rude thing to say... but Heavenly two wrongs don't make a right", Phoebe advised. "I don't care it's how I feel", Kayla said. "You are so rude I wish you were never here I just want you to get out", Heavenly said angrily, as Kayla was suddenly pushed down.. "Heavenly", Prue called, as she helped Kayla up. "I didn't touch her", Heavenly said, but Phoebe and Prue gave her the 'I know you used your power look'. "That was weird", Kayla said confused, as she knew Heavenly didn't push her. "Yea really weird just eat your breakfast", Phoebe said. "Thank you Mr.s Halliwell", Kayla said. "You're welcome sweetie". "You're so annoying", Heavenly said. "Heavenly stop it... everyone just eat in piece", Phoebe said, as all the girls got seated. "You don't who you're dealing with", Heavenly said, once Phoebe and Prue departed. "And who exactly are you?", Kayla asked. "We'll see", Heavenly mumbled. After the girls finished eating, Heavenly sneaked upstairs unseen to the attic she needed to find a spell, and after flipping through the book of shadows she was able to find the 'to bend someone's will' spell. "Although Kayla you think you know what's right.. your path unto mine collide.. your will I bend but do not break.. and I shall be your guide", Heavenly chanted as she did the necessary incantations. "Let the game begin", Heavenly stated as she left the attic, leaving the evidence behind. "Where have you been?", Tamara asked. "I just went to the washroom", Heavenly said. "But you took so long", Shaniah complained. "Sorry I'm here now", Heavenly said. "Well Kayla suddenly shook a little bit then changed it was so strange", Victoria said. "Oh really", Heavenly smiled. "What?", Ava asked. "I mean is she alright?", Heavenly asked. "Heavenly so what do you want to play?", Kayla asked. "See she's acting really weird", Ava said. "People change ...right Kayla?", Heavenly asked. "Yes only if you think it's right", Kayla said. "good", Heavenly said. "Heavenly you are also acting strange", Shaniah said. "How am I acting strange?". "Well you aren't suspicious of Kayla", Shaniah said. "Like I said people change.. let's go play with our dolls", Heavenly said. "Only Kayla tells us what to do", Ava stated. "No you should listen to Heavenly she is the birthday girl", Kayla said. "Her birthday was yesterday", Ava reminded. "So what? my house my rules", Heavenly stated. "Fine", Ava scoffed. "OK let's go play", Tamara said. As the girls were playing in the sun room Prue noticed that Kayla was doing every single thing Heavenly wanted her to do. "Heavenly", Prue called from the living room. "yes aunt Prue", Heavenly answered. "Come here for a second", Prue said, as Heavenly excused herself and went to meet Prue in the living room. "What spell did you use?", Prue asked. "What do you mean?", Heavenly asked. "Heavenly don't play dumb you know what I'm talking about", Prue said. "Prue were you casting spells in the attic?", Paige asked, as she walked into the living room. "No but I know who was", Prue said. "It could have been mommy or aunt Piper", Heavenly said. "They took the babies out when you were eating and I was in the attic nothing was there explain young lady", Prue said sternly. "Fine I cast the to mend someone's will spell on Kayla", Heavenly confessed. "Heavenly Oh my God", Paige said. "She was always telling everyone what to do and she was being really rude to me", Heavenly explained. "You are so grounded", Prue stated. "I'm so sorry please don't ground me", Heavenly pleaded. "You need to go and reverse it", Paige said. "I don't know how", Heavenly said. "I'll write a reversal spell", Paige said. "No Heavenly will write it", Prue stated. "But I don't think I can", Heavenly complained. "Yes you can just change the words", Prue said. "Auntie", Heavenly whined. "Now let's go", Prue said. "It's almost 1pm I'll go tell the girls that they should get ready for their parents", Paige announced, as Heavenly and Prue made their way to the attic. "Alright let's start casting", Prue said. After a while of working, Heavenly was able to rewrite the spell. "Kayla follow your path don't collide with mine I unbend you and I no longer become your guide", Heavenly chanted, as she did the incantations. "Good", Prue said. "Do you think it worked?", Heavenly asked. "Only one way to find out let's go", Prue said, as they went downstairs. "Heavenly I think Kayla is back to her old self", Shaniah said as she ran to Heavenly and Prue as they descended the stairs. "Yeah", Heavenly said. "My mom's here bye Heavenly thanks for everything Ms Halliwell", Shaniah said, as she gave Heavenly a hug. "Bye Shaniah", Heavenly said. "Thanks for having her", Nicole said. "You're welcome have a great day", Prue responded as the duo left the the manor. "Kayla did you like the party?", Heavenly asked hopefully. "Yes", Kayla said. Heavenly smiled. "But", Kayla said. "But?", Heavenly asked. "You were being rude me and all remember", Kayla said. "I'm sorry", Heavenly said. "Not accepted", Kayla stated. "That's not very nice", Prue said. "Whatever", Kayla said, as the door bell rang, and Paige went to get it. "Sweetie let's go", Kayla's mom said as she walked in the living room. "Is Ava coming?", Kayla asked. "Yes she is and thank you Heavenly and Prue for everything for everything", Kayla's mom said."You're welcome", Prue said, as they left the manor. After the remaining girls went home Heavenly went to her room as she cried her eyes out. "Heavenly aunt Prue told me what happened", Phoebe said walking into Heavenly's room. "It's not fair I did everything to get her to like me but she doesn't like me", Heavenly sobbed. "Baby what you did was wrong... I know what Kayla is doing is also wrong but casting a spell for revenge or on any mortal will never be OK", Phoebe said, as she wiped Heavenly's tears with her thumb. "I know and I'm sorry for that... but she is still going to tell everyone that my party sucked and no one will want to be my friend again", Heavenly sobbed. "No don't worry about them... you have Shaniah she's a good friend", Piper said as she walked into the room, she had been listening at the doorway unseen. "I know but it still hurts". "I was bullied in school and it was awful", Piper said. "You were bullied how?", Heavenly asked. "Yea I know I'm fearless now.. It was hard for me but what kept me going is knowing that I have a family that loves me and is willing to do anything for me", Piper shared. "It's just that no matter what I do she just doesn't like me", Heavenly said. "If she doesn't like you that's her loss don't focus on the people that don't like you just focus on those that do... we all love and I'm sure Shaniah loves you", Phoebe said. "Exactly you are good just the way you are you don't need Kayla", Piper added. "Thank you I feel better", Heavenly said giving Phoebe and Piper a hug. "We love you", Piper said. "And we will always be there for you", Phoebe added. "I love you too", Heavenly said, as she gave them another big hug. "Remember never use your powers on mortals it will almost be like we're evil if we do.. and they are mortal punishments so there is no need to use magic on them", Phoebe advised "I won't do it again", Heavenly promised. "Good now let's go downstairs and watch a movie", Piper said. "awesome", Heavenly said, as the trio made their way downstairs.
