"You're kidding!" Jubilee exclaims, wide-eyed. "That's what all the weather changes were about last night? The tornado, the hail, the lightning, the whole storm, and then the pretty day today?!"
Kitty shrugs. Lockheed, wrapped around her shoulders, coos softly. "Everybody has needs, Jubilee."
"I know, but - "
"Ororo's moods affect the weather. She can't help it."
"I get that, too. That's not what surprises me."
"Then what . . . ?"
"You and Storm! Really?!"
Kitty grins. "Yup."
"I always knew you guys were friends, but - "
"The best of friends often make the best of lovers."
"How long?" she asks.
"A long time. But we didn't consummate our relationship for years. Ororo kept thinking that I would grow out of my feelings for her." She rolls her eyes.
"She can be as stubborn as Wolvy."
"You don't know the half of it! But that's why, for the longest time, we were just friends. We shared a few kisses when I was younger, but every time things started to move pass that, she'd push me away."
"And now?" Jubilee asks, leaning forward.
Kitty beams. "The wait was totally worth it!" She winks. "And don't be surprised if it storms again tonight!"
"She's wild, isn't she?"
"You have no idea!"
The End
