Hi everyone! I've updated again!

Thank you so much for the support you guys have given me, especially those who patiently waited for 6 months for the update! it's been difficult coming up with the plot line!

It's been so painful writing the MikuxLen scenes... I'm still thinking of how I can smoothly transit from MikuxLen to RinxLen :(

Anyway, here's the next chapter :) I made it longer to make up for the previous chapter! :D I hope you enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't Vocaloid (damn)

Len P. O.V.

I continued looking at Miku, awaiting for an answer, and an explanation on what just happened. The anger inside me grew the more I began to suspect that Shion was the cause of Miku's injury.

"Shion-san she..." Miku looked down at the ground and mumbled softly with uncertainty in her voice. She was nervously fidgeting around with her fingers. Why was she so hesitant telling me? Does she not trust me enough?

I frowned slightly and gently rested my hand over hers. "You can tell me, Miku," I looked at her with sincere eyes. Miku slowly looked up, her large green eyes bore into mine. My face turned slightly pink when our eyes met. "Tell me what happened, Hatsune-san "

She sighed covered her face with her two hands. "I... panicked..." she replied, "Shion-san walked up to me and... I panicked..."

I continued looking at her, waiting for her to finish the story. She peeked at me through her finger gaps timidly before taking a deep breath in.

"I tripped, okay?!" Miku exclaimed, "She came up to me, I was scared, I panicked, I fell backwards! Happy now?!"

There was a moment of awkward silence between us while I tried to process what she had just told me. Did I hear her correctly? "Come again? You... tripped?" I asked again. She nodded silently back, her face still hidden behind her fists. I noticed her face was flushing red and she was trying hard not to show it. "So Shion didn't do anything to you?" I comfirmed again.

"Yes... I tripped myself... Stop asking!" Miku sighed impatiently and mumbled softly. So all this time, she was the one who caused her own injury? She was the one who accidentally fell down over nothing? I knew Miku was a little clumsy at times but tripping over air just made her seem even more like an klutz. I covered my mouth and turned away from her, trying desperately to hide the giggle that was emitting from me.

"Hey! What are you laughing at!" Miku exclaimed, "This is why I didn't want to tell you Len! I knew you would laugh!" she pouted at me. "I'm a victim here! Look, I even injured my arm! Have some respect! Are you listening? Leeeen!"

"I'm sorry Hatsune-san... I'm glad you weren't badly hurt," I coughed nervously facing her again, "You're so clumsy sometimes. It's cute."

I heaved a sigh of relief. I'm glad Miku was okay. I thought Shion had purposely pushed her down...

It suddenly struck me.

Shion... She didn't do anything to Miku. Yet I called her a horrible person, and even glared at her when she had nothing to do with the accident! Thinking about it, wasn't she the one who actually saved Miku? What was I thinking? I lost my composure and told her off without even understanding the situation! I suddenly felt extremely guilty for misunderstanding her.

"I was such a jerk towards her..." I mumbled softly to myself while rubbing the back of my neck. I should really apologise to her.

"Len! Listen to me!" I suddenly jolted awake from my thoughts. "Shion really scared me! She was glaring at me reeeaaally fiercely you know?!" Miku said while attempting to imitate Shion's usual expression. From the fact that she was still rambling on about the incident, she was probably unsatisfied with the reaction I gave her.

"I'm sorry," I replied, smiling. At the end of the day, I was glad she was okay. At least she didn't injure herself badly. I slowly stood up from my seat, applying a bit of force on my legs, and gestured to her, "Shall we head back?"

Miku's eyes widened and continued staring at me for a few seconds. She seemed a little shocked, for some reason.

"Hatsune-san?"

She snapped out of her trance and slowly stood up, straightening her dark, green skirt.

"Sorry, let's head back," she replied simply before walking towards me. We finally exited the room.

Gumiya P.O.V.

I looked around the hall and saw no signs or Len or Miku. Where were they? Did they elope together or something? Or was Len slowly climbing the stairs to adulthood?!

WHACK! I felt a heavy blow to my head. I turned around to face my partner.

"Gumiya! You'd better focus or you're gonna be receiving more than one blow to your head!" Gumi teased on the other side of the net, with an evil grin plastered on her face. She was standing in position, ready to receive a return from my side. Gumi was always a sporty person ever since I knew her as kids, and she wasn't someone I would use the term "feminine" to describe. Even so, she was still my best friend, my childhood friend, and my neighbour. I guess I'll be stuck with her for a few more years.

"Anywhere but my face~", I replied, touching my face, "The girls will be unhappy if this work of art was destroyed~"

"Work of art?" she laughed loudly, Go pick up the ball already!" she smiled at me, her eyes filled with excitement. I spun behind me and ran towards where the ball had rolled to. I'm not gonna lose to you, Gumi. I grinned at myself.

When I walked back, and prepared to give her a powerful serve. "Here it comes, Gumi." I saw the girl in front of me smile.

Just before I was going to serve the volleyball, I suddenly saw our beloved shota walking into the hall with Miku. I hugged the volleyball in my arms. Whoa, they came in together~ A smirk formed on my face, I'm definitely going to tease him about it ... What's that patch on Miku's elbow? Did she injure herself?

Len approached Gakupo-sensei and was bowing a few times with an apologetic look on his face. I assumed he was apologising for being late for class. He bowed one last time and turned around. He waved goodbye to Miku who then went to sit at the side of the hall, while he started jogging towards our direction. I wonder what happened to her?

"Gumiya!" I heard a yell right before I got hit in the head again.

"OW!" I groaned in pain and rubbed the area I was hit. I swear if this continues on, I'm gonna get brain damage from her. "God Gumi, be nicer to me, will you? Geez!"

"You should never let your guard down during a match Gumiya! Plus, I called you like five times!" she replied, her eyebrows knit together. She placed her right hand on her hip and scratched her head with the other.

"Seems like you two are having fun," a familiar voice commented.

I quickly turned around and replied, "Not as much fun as you had being alone with Miku. So tell me, what did you do to her eh?" I gave the blonde a smirk and elbowed him as he walked beside me. Soon enough I saw the blonde blush and snap back at me, "Shut up, I'll tell you later... And why didn't you wait for me to finish changing?"

"Gumi was dragging me along with her!" I exclaimed back in defense. He then mouthed an "Oh..." and nodded his head.

Len understood that when Gumi was excited about something, it was impossible to tell her to stop, or reject whatever she wanted to do. Being her childhood friend, I have sufferred alot from her enthusiasm. Some people say I'm too nice to her and I should try stopping her once in a while. But I couldn't help it. When I see that excited look in her eyes, I couldn't bear to take it away from her.

Meanwhile, another blonde appeared at the entrance. It was Shion-san. I noticed she was wearing... a jacket?! In this weather?! The rain made the temperature a little cooler than usual but it was so humid, wearing a jacket was just insane! I wonder where SHE went. I saw her approach Gakupo-sensei and started talking before being interrupted by Len.

"Hold on, I don't have a partner... Gakupo-sensei!" Len yelled across the hall, not noticing Shion-san's presence until he looked towards Gakupo-sensei's direction. He looked shocked when he saw Shion-san, but continued on talking.

"Um... I don't have a partner so... What should I do now?" Len continued on.

I saw Gakupo-sensei turn towards Len, "Hmmm, Kagamine-san, you'll just have to play alone, I'm sorry!" he replied, cupping his hands around his mouth so that his voice would be projected around the room.

"What?! I don't want to play alone!" Len murmured to himself with a troubled look on his face. I pitied the guy, but the idea of 2 against 1 with either or Gumi and me wasn't any better. When Gumi gets into her game-on mode, not many people could survive playing with her. Except me, having stuck with her for almost 15 years of my life

"Never mind Kagamine-san, Shion-san here can play with you!" Gakupo-sensei then yelled again. Len turned towards Gakupo-sensei and saw Shion-san jog lightly towards our direction. He seemed unwilling to play with the girl that was approaching him. Probably because he wasn't close to Shion-san, but then again no one was. He compromised anyway, I figured he thought it was a better idea than playing alone.

"Hey Gumiya, don't leave me hanging! I've waited forever!" I turned towards the source of the sound. Gumi was pouting and tapping her foot impatiently on the ground. I DID keep her waiting for a while.

"Sorry," I apologised and served the volleyball I was holding in my arms with a loud smack.

Len P.O.V.

Gumiya and Gumi started playing their game. I looked at the blonde girl jogging towards me. I admit I didn't like the idea of playing with her, but it was at least better than being alone. I sighed as I waited for her to serve me the volleyball.

"Are you ready?" I asked her, getting ready into position with my knees slightly bent and my arms stretched forward. She didn't reply, but simply threw the ball lightly in the air and hit it with her left hand. It was a pretty sloppy serve, I assumed she wasn't good at sports. I returned the ball with a light hit and watched as she ran back to catch the ball.

Strange... For a second there I thought I saw her expression wince as if in pain when she was hitting the ball back to me. I looked closer and saw her usual expressionless face. Must have been my imagination.

...

PE lesson had finally ended. Everyone started going back to class to change back into our school uniform. I had finished changing and started packing my bag. Shion seemed to have trouble returning the volleyball the whole time and we spent most of the lesson picking up the ball that had rolled off to the side of the hall. It could have been Miku playing with me but she said that she wanted to rest after the little accident.

Speaking of that incident, I suddenly remembered.

"I... still haven't apologised to Shion yet..." I mumbled to myself. How am I going to talk to her?

Just then, the loud sound of the door sliding open caught my attention. Ms Megurine stood outside the door. She glanced around the classroom and locked her eyes onto me.

"Kagamine! Don't forget your cleaning duty today! I will be checking on you and Shion later so you better not try to escape!" she yelled across the classroom. Right... I still had cleaning duties with Shion... And I was hoping I could go home immediately after this. I sighed before showing an "OK" sign to her. She nodded in approval and left the classroom.

Maybe, I could use this opportunity to apologise to Shion?

"Leeeeeen!" a high-pitched voice ringed in my ears. I heard quick noises of tapping feet coming towards me. I turned around to see the usual cheerful Miku grinning widely at me. "Thank you thank you THANK YOU Len!" she jumped in joy, her long cyan locks bouncing along with her.

"What happened?" I asked her, smiling, unsure of what she was thanking me for.

"Don't play pretend with me, you were planning on making it a surprise weren't you?" her eyes were shining with excitement. She was staring at me intensely with her large cyan eyes. Staring back at her, I noticed how long her eyelashes were, they were thick and long. I noticed how beautiful they made her eyes look. But most importantly, I noticed how close she had placed her face near mine.

I flinched back in embarrassment before answering her question, "What are you talking about, Hatsune-san?"

She sighed and pouted at me. Her face looked like that of a squirrel's with her cheeks inflated like that. It was cute. I could feel my heart flutter a little looking at her face.

"Boy, you don't make it easy do you?" she flashed out the leek key chain attached to her phone, "I'm talking about my key chain! You found it for me didn't you?" she smiled sweetly at me.

"Geez, you could have told me just now at the Nurse's Office that you found it already! Nonetheless, that was so sweet of you Len," she continued flashing her angelic smile, her voice tbecoming gentler and softer. I felt my heart beat a little faster. Control yourself, Len. "Where was it found, anyway?" she continued asking.

"Oh, it wasn't me, it was actually Shion." I replied straightforwardly. As much as I wanted to be person who returned it to Miku, Shion found it so she deserves the credit. I wonder why Shion didn't say anything about it?

I saw the brightness in Miku's face dim down a little. Her eyes slowly looked away from me and she stared at my empty table, deep in thought. Did I say something wrong? Before I could ask her, I saw her expression quickly brighten up again. She turned her head back towards me.

"Well then!" she grinned again and replied in a cheery light-hearted tone,"I guess I'll just have to thank her another day then!" She looked at her light-pink watch and added, "I'm gonna be late for my appointment, see you tomorrow Len!"

"See you tomorrow, Hatsune-san!" I gave her a slight wave before seeing her skip away. Her long cyan locks swaying slightly in the air.

"Hey Len," Gumiya came up and tapped my shoulder, "me and Gumi are heading to the arcade today, wanna join us?" He pointed to the back with his thumb. Gumi was standing behind him listening to our conversation.

"Sorry bro, if you recall, I have cleaning duties today. With Shion." I added, feeling a little uncomfortable at the idea of staying with her after school. "I'm not going to risk my life going against Ms Megurine. Maybe next time?"

"Well, let's go another day then. Maybe next time, we could invite your darling Miku eh?" Gumiya gave me a perverted smile and raised his eyebrows. I blushed again at the thought of going out with Miku.

"Yeah yeah yeah, leave already would you?" I tried my best to compose myself, "and maybe this time you might actually WIN Gumi for once." I teased him back. He rolled his eyes at me with a grin on his face. He hasn't won an arcade game with Gumi for as long as I could remember. Sometimes, I suspected Gumiya was actually losing to Gumi on purpose, but he would always deny it.

"I'll see you tomorrow then," he turned around and gave me a quick salute.

"Bye Len!" Gumi cried with excitement before quickly grabbing Gumiya's arm as they dashed out the classroom.

The classroom was almost half empty by now, with a only a few classmates still lingering around. I glanced around and saw Shion at her seat slowly packing her things. I walked to the corner of the classroom and took out the two brooms from the cupboard. The brooms hadn't been touched in a while and had accumulated abit of dust themselves. I then walked towards Shion and handed her the broom in my right hand.

"Here, we're on cleaning duty today remember?" I smiled, trying to be as nice to her as possible especially after what happened with Miku just now. I was still feeling a little guilty about misunderstanding her.

Shion simply stared at me, and without a word, grabbed the broom from my hands and walked to the back of the classroom. Oh no, she definitely was angry at me. How am I going to apologise to her at this rate? She doesn't even want to speak to me!

A mixture of guilt and fear rose in my heart. Would she forgive me even if I did apologise? I sighed again and walked to the front of the classroom to begin sweeping the residue of the marker writings. How and when do I apologise to her...?

A few minutes passed and the class had become completely, leaving us engulfed in silence. The awkward silence made me feel uneasy about the situation. Should I try to strike a conversation with her? What should we talk about? School? Homework? Before I could decide, the sound of a moving chair pierced through the silence and startled me.

I swiftly turned my head and saw Shion carrying her school bag, walking towards the classroom door.

"I'm leaving now," she turned towards my direction to inform me.

"W...wait!" I quickly walked towards her to stop her. The cleaning hasn't been finished yet! I was not going to allow her to leave me alone to do the rest myself. That wasn't the only reason, I haven't found the chance to apologise to her either.

"Hold on just a minute, Shion. We haven't finished cleaning!" I frantically grabbed her shoulder just before she was going to slide the classroom door open.

She glanced at me for a second but ignored what I said. She placed her hand on the door handle and started to slide the door open.

"Oi, Shion!" I quickly grabbed her arm to stop her. I must have grabbed her too hard, because she flinched at my touch and I saw her expression instantly change to that of pain.

"S...sorry!"I quickly let go of her. What happened to her arm?

Wait a minute... Now that I think about it...

"Shion, take off your jacket." I ordered her sternly.

"W...w...what?" she looked at me, eyes opened wide. Confused at my words.

"Take your jacket off NOW"

Tada! A new chapter! :D

I sincerely apologise at how crappy and boring this chapter was. Firstly, I'm so sorry I killed the mood about the incident

Secondly, I feel bad for making Gumi stone there waiting for Gumiya's monologue to end.

Thirdly, the classroom scene. It was a little dull although it was supposed to be a RinxLen moment DAMN.

This chapter plus the previous and next chapter was initially supposed to be ONE chapter but I was so naggy it stretched out to three... =.="

I hoped you enjoyed this chapter! :)
