Hello everyone! :) Thank you for the support, I will continue doing my best writing!
The updating speed will probably slow down after this chapter as my exams are approaching TnT (need to study)
Wish me luck! In the meantime, here's the next chapter! :D

"Take it off NOW" I told her sternly.
Why didn't I realise it just now? When she was protecting Miku from the cabinet's fall, could she have injured herself really badly?
Ofcourse! No normal human wouldn't get an injury from an impact like that! The flashback of Shion preventing the heavy metal cabinet from falling onto Miku with her skinny arms reappeared in my mind. What was I thinking?! I was so caught up with Miku I didn't even do something as simple as ask Shion if she was okay! Instead, what did I do?
"You're horrible, Shion" my words continuously rang in my ears. Len, you're an asshole.
Shion peered through her glasses, her eyes fixated on me, as if trying to process what I just said. It was either that or she was just reluctant to do as I said.
Seeing that she wasn't going to take the jacket off herself any time soon, I clicked my tongue impatiently and slipped the jacket off her shoulders myself. She tried to move away from me but I had grabbed onto her shoulder and prevented her from doing so. "Don't move so much,"I looked at her straight in the eye and shot her a serious look.
When she saw the expression on my face, the glare in her eyes softened. She stopped struggling and stood still. I then gently tugged on her left sleeve and slowly pulled it off her arm. My eyes widened at what I saw.
No wonder she flinched so badly when I grabbed her just now, almost her whole arm was covered in a dark blue-black at the area she blocked the cabinet with. It was getting slightly swollen and it looked really bad. I groaned in frustration and hit myself on the forehead with my left palm.
What was this girl thinking?! Holding in the pain all this time! Doesn't she know how serious her injury could be?
I looked back at her and saw a troubled expression on her face. She didn't seem pleased at the fact that I had seen her injury. It must have hurt a lot when I grabbed her arm just now... I don't even know what to think of this girl anymore.
First, she glares at everyone she sees for no reason. And then she goes around saving her classmates and getting herself hurt for no reason. And now, I see her silently bearing the pain of a serious injury without even mentioning a single word of it to anyone, not even her friends?!
Come to think of it, does she have any friends at all? I don't recall her talking to anybody in class, or eating with anyone during recess... Has she been lonely this whole time?
"Are you hurt anywhere else?" I asked, concerned about her. Now that I finally understood that this girl was the type to keep silent about her injuries and pain, even if it was a large bruise like this, it made me worry that there were other severe injuries on her she was keeping quiet about.
The girl simply continued staring at me with her large, unwavering blue eyes. I felt uneasy seeing her looking at me like this, it also made me feel a little embarrassed.
"C'mon, tell me. I'm worried about you," I asked, my voice slightly shaking.
She took another few seconds to finally react to my words. I heard her sigh softly. She tugged on her right sleeve and finally removed her jacket, carefully placing it on the table beside her.
"...wrist..." she mumbled softly as she cupped her skinny wrist with her left hand. I never noticed how skinny and fragile she looked before. She was skinnier than Miku, making me feel as if she would be broken into a million tiny pieces if I used the slightest bit of force on her.
"Did you sprain it?" I asked as I gently held her right hand examining the swollen wrist. I was careful not to exert too much strength on her as I was afraid it would make the pain even worse.
"I'll take you to the Nurse's Office," I said as I gently grabbed her left hand. I slid the door open and slowly pulled her out of the classroom along with me. I continued holding her hand while walking in front of her. We started making our way to the other side of the school block.
On our way there, Shion was surprisingly quiet and didn't struggle as much as Miku did. I was expecting her to be reluctant listening to me or even getting angry at me for meddling around with her business, but she didn't. With her injuries like that, struggling was probably a bad idea as well.
The corridors were a little emptier than usual and it made the atmosphere even quieter. The walk to the Nurse's Office seemed to take forever with the silence that surrounded us. I noticed the rain had stopped and rays of sunlight were shooting down from the sky. Other than the occasional noise of rustling trees, the soft chirping of birds and the tapping of our footsteps, the hallway was eerily silent.
When we finally reached the Nurse's Office, I lightly knocked on the door a few times before sliding the door open.
"Excuse me, Ms Lily?" I took a step inside the room and looked around. Strange, she didn't seem to be here. I wonder where she went? The room looked almost exactly the same as it did a few minutes ago. I continued walking inside, looking around. No one seemed to be here at all. I tugged lightly on Shion's hand and led her to a seat.
"Sit here, I'll go get some ice for you," I bent over to tell her. I let go of her hand and walked away trying to find some compress for injury, as well as as one bandaging.
...
"Here Shion, place this on your arm for a while," I passed her the compress I found, "I'm gonna try to bandage your wrist."
"Thank you..." she replied softly, taking the compress from my hands and gently placing it over her bruised arm.
I took the seat in front of her and dragged the chair forward nearer to her.
"Does it still hurt really badly?" I asked as I gently cupped her wrist, wrapping the bandage carefully around her wrist.
"A little..." she replied, staring at her wrist.
"You should go see a doctor, it could be serious," the bandaging was a little messy as it was the first time I was doing something like this. Nonetheless I wanted to try my best to help her as I couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility for her injury. I wasn't exactly being the nicest person to her after seeing her get into an accident just now. I looked up at her, wondering she would say something
She noticed me looking at her and looked back at me, nodding her head a few times before her eyes trailed down along with her head. She ended up staring at her wrist again.
I continued to bandage her wrist and once again, silence had enveloped the both of us. Maybe I could use this chance to apologise to her?
"Shion," I heard my voice crack as it broke the silence. I blushed a little at the sound of my voice ruining the moment. That was embarrassing. I let go of her wrist that I had just finished bandaging and placed it on her lap.
I saw her look at me a little surprised. I looked away from her, scratching my head nervously. I mustered up my courage and inhaled deeply.
"I'm sorry I was mean to you just now... The accident with Miku um..." I uttered nervously, my voice dying off with every word I said. "I... I hope you're not angry... I'm really really sorry!" I bowed down to her, trying my best to show my sincerity. I could almost feel her stare glaring at me with even more intensity than before.
I slowly peeked up, wanting to see her response. I flinched in shock seeing her expression. Indeed, she was glaring at me even fiercer than before, her eyebrows were knit tightly together and she seemed really annoyed at what I just said.
"S..sorry! I..." I quickly added, inching slightly away from her.
"I'm not angry..." I heard her say.
"Y..you aren't? Are you sure?" I looked at her, stuttering nervously.
She nodded her head silently in response. I couldn't tell whether she was telling the truth, or lying. Either way, her answer wasn't convincing.
""
Shion's eyes widened. "I...do?" she mumbled softly. Has she never realised how scary her expressions usually are?
"You do," I replied her, nodding my head.
"I'm... sorry, it wasn't intentional. Don't worry, I'm not angry at all," she explained with her head hung low. This was the longest reply she has given me so far. I smiled at myself, happy that she wasn't bearing a grudge against me, but also because she was gradually speaking up more. Is she finally opening up to me?
"Give me your arm, I'll bandage it," I stretched my right arm out towards hers while smiling. It was nice that I was feeling more comfortable around her.
She shook her head and stuck out her left hand, "Y...you don't have to," quickly denying my offer.
"It will help reduce the swelling," I said as I reached out for her hand and pulling it in front of me. I then started carefully bandaging the arm. Once again, she was silent and did not speak anymore. All she did was silently watch as I tightened the bandage around her arm. I had to admit my skills seemed to be mproving as the bandaging looked neater than the one on her wrist.
"There all done, that should help with the swelling. But you still better get your wrist checked at a clinic or something."
"Okay," she retracted her arm.
I scratched my head nervously, the silence between us returned. I was trying hard to quickly find a topic to talk about.
"Hey Shion... um... Why don't you go home now, I'll finish up the cleaning alone. You won't be able to help me in your current condition anyway, so go home and go see a doctor or something," I gave her a glance and told her. I had ran out of things to talk about, it was the only way to end silence.
She gave me a nod and stood up from her seat timidly and started walking towards the door. My eyes followed her as she approached the door. I noticed her footsteps slowing down.
"Kagamine-san," she turned around and faced me. "I wish to tell you how thankful I am for all you have done for me today. I'm sorry to have caused you trouble," she said as she bowed down deeply.
"I..it was nothing," I replied, feeling a little embarrassed at how formal she was.
"Thank you," the blonde girl said with a faint smile plastered on her face. Shion then quickly exited the room. I heard the light tapping of feet as she walked away from the Nurse's Office.
I sat there a little stunned at what I just saw. So Shion COULD smile after all.. I pondered to myself. I had never realised the girl was capable of other facial expressions apart from the fierce ones she usually had until today. Seems like she wasn't as scary a person as everyone thought.
I don't remember ever seeing her smile before. I couldn't help but feel a little special seeing how she opened up a little to me today, something I had never seen her do before. This girl was so full of surprises and it made me curious about her. I wonder what other facial expressions this girl has?
I stared at the ceiling, maybe being her partner wouldn't be as bad as I thought? I smiled at myself before pushing myself up from the seat and made my way out of the Nurse's Office. Maybe things are going to all alright
So now, Len has discovered that Rin isn't as scary as he thought she was. So he won't be afraid to approach her in the near future! :)
This is the end of the "arm injury" arc
I hope you enjoyed this chapter! (Sorry it was a little tasteless and short)
