Leonardo pushed the badge into the soft part of Faye's armor, his thick fingers somehow perfectly buttoning it to her,

Faye could observe him closer than before now. The smooth looking skin on his thick hands and fingers were a rich basil color like his face. It was impossible if his skin was smooth throughout his whole body because of the steel plate armor that fit close to his bulging muscles. Not only that but he was tall, taller than her brother even, who in turn is taller than her. Faye looked up for a moment to glare at his stern face. His eyes were a rich deep blue and they were the fiercest blue eyes filled with determination she'd ever seen. He was clearly a turtle but his demeanor and eyes spoke 'humanity'. She seen human like animal people of their own specific race before, such as the nomadic Yeturi, (bull people) and even in the assassins guild there are Kanjas (cat people) but turtle men? She never seen or heard of such creatures before. Faye began wondering if more of their kind were roaming the world or if they were all there was.

Faye took a step back, taking a deep breath to settle her nerves. The entire room had their eyes on her, until the Queen spoke,

"Faye, it is wonderful to finally meet you in person. I imagine we will have an exciting time with you in or midst." The Queen turned to Leonardo with a dainty smile, "Please show lady Faye to her quarters in preparation for dinner."

Leonardo bowed his head to Augustaria reverently, Faye grimaced, she wouldn't be bowing to the Queen today or any day. As expected the room looked to her in expectation, Faye's scowl seemed to grow deeper, she swiftly turned away, her shoulder bumping her brother making him stumble and glare at her with a mixture of disbelief and anger. The room burst into gossiping whispers,

Faye made it just outside the court doors exasperated and overwhelmed, before she was physically thrown into the wall behind her. Leonardo's furious face only inches from hers. How the hell did he get in front of me?

"Who the hell do you think you are?" He hissed, emphasizing his words by pushing his armored arm into her throat. "You may be one of us, but you will not walk around here unchecked and wild. You lack honor!"

Faye snarled and combated his assault by violently pushing away his arm. Completely offended that this beast of a 'man' would ever lay a hand on her. She raised her hand to slap him when an obscenely powerful force, much like a man's grip tight around her wrist kept her from slapping the living spirit out of Leonardo.

Faye looked at her hand, there was nothing there! "What?" Her head snapped to Leonardo, who was smirking triumphantly,

"What did you do!?" Faye demanded. Leonardo's eyes dropped to her new necklace, Faye's arm was suddenly free and she clutched the necklace around her throat, no matter how hard she tugged and pulled the damn thing would not break.

"Faye stop it, it's not going to come off." Faye became aware that the 3 other turtle men and her brother were all surrounding her and Leonardo. "Can't you control yourself for a second Faye?" Rou chastised her.

Faye's tanned skin took on an embarrassing red tinge, "He..."

"Come on, I'm taking you to your quarters." Rou started off without waiting for her.

Faye glared directly at the still smirking Leonardo before taking off with angry stomps behind her fleeing brother.

Faye kept her eyes forward for majority of the walk to the Knights Quarters in the East Wing of Vvanfell Castle. Every maid, servant and worker she passed gave her looks that could send her to the afterlife by Alstrider himself. Faye was completely unconcerned, she turned her nose at the ugly looks. These people were brainwashed for all she knew, forced to be upset with her, forced to love that woman who calls herself a queen.

Her brother led her through large open doors and into a colorful garden.

"This is the King's garden. It's been here since the very beginning of time." Rou told her.

Faye rolled her eyes, "that's impossible." She mumbled just low enough for Rou to not hear.

Despite her rude remark, she quickly became curious of the garden. From what she could tell, this was only but the edge of larger land and was the only way to reach her quarters. The first flowers she saw were, unsurprisingly, blue roses. Along the path to the Knights quarters some red and yellows were blooming on the large bushes. As they reached the doors of the stone building the roses were blue again. Faye admired the beauty of it, willing to admit that some things around the kingdom may not be as bad as she initially thought. The garden was very quiet, perfect for stealth practice and reading a book or two, something else she enjoyed. This was certainly an area she would have to come back and explore if she was going to be stuck here for a while.

The two siblings reached the Knights Quarters and Rou let her go inside the large building first.

"Holy hell." Faye gasped.

The building looked small but the inside entrance was huge. There was blue on everything aside from the stairs, which were a gray stone. Faye wondered if the people who lived and worked here ever got tired of seeing blue on just about everything.

A large ornate golden chandelier hung from one of many beams that lined the vaulted ceiling, couches surrounded a table and large lounge chairs surrounded a burning fireplace. Faye's wide eyes told Rou all he needed to know, she liked what she saw so far. He could only hope that she would stay pleased.

"Come on, I'll show you around."

Rou led her to the kitchens, where she could ask for anything she wanted to eat at any time, and even showed her the doors of the turtle brothers. Faye felt relieved to know that Leonardo's room was actually farthest from her own on east, hers to the west.

Faye bristled at the thought of that turtle beast. She'd have to be extra careful around him for sure, which was something Faye wasn't used to doing. Being afraid of others wasn't something she was fond of either. Her reputation as an assassin made others naturally afraid of her, but Leonardo, on the other hand apparently had no fear of being in her crosshairs. And he certainly was making her even more of his enemy by being aggressive and hostile towards her too.

Faye looked around her new room, immediately noticing the giant window that she could fit her whole body into and look out over the kingdom. The rest of the room was surprisingly not covered in blue colors, it was actually a warm brown setting, with brick walls and a fireplace in the corner. The bed was King sized with black covers. Faye realized this room was just recently remade specifically for her. The room was like a small home and Faye frowned at its extravagance. She instantly felt obligated to like the room because it was spent on her.

"Do you like it?" Rou's voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Huh?"

"I said, 'do you like your room'?" He repeated.

"It's fine." Faye didn't meet her brothers eyes, she still felt overwhelmed about the whole situation. She was still angry that her brother was even here, that he worked for the woman she felt destroyed their whole lives.

"Faye look, I know you're still angry with me,"

"I said it's fine." Faye snapped in attempt to end the conversation. Her scowl was back.

"We really need to talk about everything sister, it's been 10 years years since I-,"

"Your sister is no more. She's not the little girl that she used to be. She's not forgotten of the past, nor forgiven it." Faye cut him off. Rou looked hurt,

"You know that's-,"

"Hello, I'm here to assist the newcomer."

Faye and Rou turned their heads to see a small blonde woman with blue eyes in a long dress clearly meant for cleaning. Immediately Faye noticed the bulge in the woman's stomach area and a distinct arching of the back that only a woman carrying a child could have.

The woman also wasn't looking too pleased to be in Faye's presence either.

"Ah, yes, Faye this is Lana. She'll be taking care of your room. I'll...let you two get acquainted, I've got some business to attend to."

Faye sighed, watching her brother leave as Lana went to work in her room, the hurt in her brothers voice made her feel especially horrible, but she would never let him know that.

Faye settled her eyes back on Lana, who was carrying some clothes in her arms.

"Now don't go thinking just because the Queen accepted you here that I'm just gonna pretend being nice to ya! Poor woman is probably still traumatized from your stupid assassination attempt!"

Faye's lip twitched, the woman certainly had a mouth on her. Lana brushed past her and plopped the clothes on top of the black covers of the bed. She left without another word and Faye was again alone in a room that she was very unfamiliar with.

She approached the large window, I can see the whole kingdom here, she wondered at the sight before her. She could see what looked like ants that were people going about their daily life. What fools, don't they know they live under a tyrant?

Faye took a seat at the window, she assumed someone out in this kingdom would protest for her. That maybe she emboldened the hearts of the people who too realized the Queen was not a fit ruler in this region. But she had yet to hear or see a thing. Not any word of uprisings or a whisper of bad language against the Queen. The behavior of maids and servants who did their job to please the queen didn't surprise her in the least. They were basically required by duty to serve the Queen and keep their opinions to themselves. Lana on the other hand was no ordinary mindless maid, Faye noticed a red glowing ruby around her lithe neck. Perhaps she worked here because her husband does too, necklaces like hers don't come cheap, so whoever he is he isn't a poor man, nor is he apart of the common rabble.

Lana's behavior towards her bothered Faye only a little. Such honesty coming from her was refreshing and bothersome at the same time. But SOMEONE in this kingdom had to agree with Faye's actions. All of these years of training, planning and traveling couldn't have been in vain. Faye's convictions couldn't possibly be wrong.

With a frustrated huff Faye got up and began rummaging through the dressers in her room. They were filled with nightgowns, undergarments, dresses and jewelry. They were stuffed neatly to the brim with clothing she was sure she'd never wear.

Faye threw open her closet, another suit like the one she was wearing hung there for her.

"My weapons are still missing." She pouted, thinking about her jagged steel daggers and her trusty bow.

Feeling that she explored her room thoroughly enough Faye decided to head to the kitchens. Her stomach was cramping since she hadn't eaten.

She peeked out of the door to her room, the sight of a guard standing alert at her door made her immediately scowl. Faye peeked her head out further to see a second guard on the other side of the door. With an exasperated sigh and a roll of her eyes Faye swiftly slid in front of the two nervous guards,

"What do you two want?" She demanded, "don't you know it's rude to stand outside a woman's door without her knowing?"

The two guards looked at each other, clearly uncomfortable to answer the irritated red head.

"We were ordered to stand outside and escort you." The first guard said.

Faye straightened her back, "let me guess, Leonardo gave you this order?"

The two nodded as if their lives depended on it. That asshole. Faye thought.

"Well, as a knight I order you to stand down." Faye smirked.

The two guards were practically sweating,

"Ma'am, we are very sorry, but Leonardo is the top rank. His order is not changeable."

Faye's haughty expression quickly changed into an angry one, her teeth bared in anger, gritting together, "fine." She scowled at the two. Without a word she stomped her way to the kitchens.

What do I have to do to get some peace and alone time around here?
