No matter where Faye went the two nervous guards were on her heels. The red headed assassin wanted to go back to her room and hide until she starved to death. It was one-hundred times better than being followed by the fumbling and loud twits that destroyed her silent stalking around the Knights dormitory. When Faye's feet turned to go back up the stairs of the lounge room she suddenly realized what Leonardo had done. He sent these men simply to impede her movement and keep her from sneaking around. The turtle was more resourceful and paranoid than she expected. Faye rolled her eyes, if she wanted to kill the Queen that desperately she would be in the dungeon already for trying a second time. Faye's stomach plucked her from her irritated thoughts. With a sigh she turned from the stairs to the rooms and went to the kitchens, ignoring the jostling of heavy armor behind her. The smell of freshly baked bread began to fill her nostrils.

Faye turned the corner only to freeze in her tracks. Standing in front of the table that separated the kitchen from its waiting area was one of the brothers. He was talking to a male cook, ordering something that looked like noodles. Like the other brothers he was taller than her, but she couldn't tell what color he represented. Faye turned around intending to sneak away,

"Faye!" She froze. Cringing at the sound of her own name being called. She spun around, giving the most genuine fake smile she could muster and gave a sigh of relief. It was the one in purple. Donatello if she remembered the name correctly. A big friendly smile was planted on his juniper green face and his eyes sparkled at her. It unnerved the young assassin. She wasn't used to such a friendly non-judge mental state from any person. Usually people glared at her knowing what her occupation was. His skin was the same color green as his face. Donatello wore a white shirt, his muscles although not as big as Leonardo's still fit against the fabric, showing off his masculine physique. His collar ties were a bit loose on his chest and his legs were covered by loose black long pants. His purple bandana was tied around his eyes, showing off his rich chocolate brown eyes. Faye began to wonder how such inhuman creatures could have such expressive and human features. She was suddenly curious about him. "Lady Faye," he started, "do you like your new quarters?"

"Quarters?" Faye stupidly repeated, "ah! My new room...yes. It's respectable, it's different." She told him trying to control the foreign nervousness in her voice. Get a grip Faye.

"Your friends?" Donatello leaned slightly to the side to see the two guards shaking behind her. Faye turned to glare at the two guards behind her, suddenly remembering Leonardo. A sour look touched Faye's sharp features at the mentioning of the blue clad turtle. She glared at nothing in particular as she thought about the haughty creature,

"Your brother's stupid idea." She seethed. Donatello nodded in understanding.

"You two." The guards shaking knees immediately straightened at Donatello's stern voice. Faye could tell this sternness was foreign to him, "you're relieved of your duties." He ordered.

"But...sir. This is Leonardo's order."

"And I have also given an order. You wouldn't want to disobey me would you?" Donatello spoke lowly with a raised and naked eyebrow.

"No sir!" The guards responded immediately.

"Then I order you to take the rest of the night off." He smiled at the two. The moment he ordered them to take off they had scrambled out the door their armor noisily clattering behind them. she was unsure if it was because they were more afraid of her or the order Donatello gave them.

Donatello beamed at her, "well, you should get some rest in there. Tomorrow I will take you on a tour around the kingdom." Donatello reached behind him and held out a bowl filled with noodles and beef to Faye, "Were you hungry?" Faye stared wide eyed at the bowl, initially unsure what to say. But Donatello's kind and soft treatment toward her had rubbed off in a positive manner. Faye lightly smiled at the bowl, Donatello noted that she looked much more pleasant with a smile rather than her usual scowling.

"Thank you, Donatello." Faye nodded her head to him and kindly took the bowl from him. She turned away and headed to her room. This time unfollowed and alone.

It had become very late and quiet when Faye discovered that despite the fine black silk pajamas and the warm cozy fire in the corner of her room she still couldn't sleep. It didn't take much sneaking around the place for her to reach the roof and find a warm spot against the chimney to her room to lean on. She was mentally and emotionally exhausted. Disbelieving that in just a few days she had entered into a territory that she initially set out to destroy.

Faye groaned, she still had a plan didn't she? No, she really didn't. The only plan she had right now was to gain the trust of these people and right now that wasn't even close to happening. Especially with the one in blue on her ass 24/7. Her brother Rou was an extra pain in her ass. She knew exactly what he was doing, trying to get everyone to see the good in her. Faye vaguely remembered the fires that engulfed her village, the moments where Rou and her parents were murdered. Faye knew who she was and she was not the innocent girl Rou tried to protect 15 years ago.

"This going to be your spot too huh?"

Faye sprung up from her spot, ready to fight.

"Whoa! Wait! It's just me! Mikey!"

Michelangelo threw up his hands, basil green skin reflecting from the moonlight. His orange mask waving in the soft wind. Faye let out the breath she had been holding, he wasn't nearly as tall as his brothers, he was only a foot or two taller than her and had less muscle mass. He was the least threatening of the brothers and Faye instantly lowered her guard. I have to stop letting these men surprise me. Faye chided herself. She suddenly felt naked without her bow and daggers.

Michelangelo's soft blue eyes sparkled at the defensive woman. She was stunning with the moon bouncing off her tanned skin. It was still slightly pale but not as pale as earlier. Her red hair glowed like a menacing fire. He was initially speechless and wondered why he didn't see this beauty in her during her initiation.

Finally finding the words to say Michelangelo cleared his throat, "I guess you figured out this is a great place to hang out too."

"I thought it was the best place to be alone." The woman crossed her arms and huffed. Michelangelo could see that her signature scowl was back on her face.

"Well, it was." He teased, "it was my quiet spot."

"I didn't see your name on it." Faye smirked at him.

"Well, to be fair, you aren't supposed to be up here anyway." Faye visibly bristled at his playful comment. She looked at him with eyes practically pleading him not to tell on her, "don't worry," Michelangelo chuckled, "I won't tell Leo." Faye relaxed, rolling her eyes in irritation at her own fearful behavior. Michelangelo felt bad for her. Despite everything she did, perfectly deserving of hostility and anger he felt none towards her. The woman was obviously emotionally broken and being the most sensitive of his brothers and more in tune with his own emotions he could see right through her. He could see that Leonardo was going to bring out the worst of her and he decided that easing her apprehension of his oldest brother was the better route, "You know...Leonardo does what he does to protect us. He considers it a noble duty."

"And I bet you thought my idiot brother throwing me into military service for your Queen was fucking noble too." Faye responded with venomous sarcasm. That certainly wasn't the response Michelangelo was looking for. He paused, confusion written on his green face,

"Your brother?"

"Yes my brother, Rou. That idiot still thinks he can protect me like I'm 10 again." Faye told Michelangelo flippantly. His face twisted with more confusion, "shit..." she mumbled, "Rou didn't even tell you did he?"

Michelangelo simply shook his head. "I didn't know Rou even had a sister."

Faye glared at the turtle man, "seems like you didn't know a lot of things about my brother." Faye felt angry, "how could he not tell anyone? Is he that ashamed of me?"

"Do you want me to tell the others?" Michelangelo asked the seething woman.

"NO!...I mean...no." Faye told him, "if anyone is going to say anything it will be me." Faye was already coming up with hundreds of ways to embarrass her traitorous sibling.

"Secrets on the first day being a Queen's knight." Michelangelo smiles at her. "Glad to have bonded a bit."

Faye let out an involuntary chuckle. "Good night Michelangelo." Faye turned towards the turtle fully, enamoring Michelangelo with her beauty again. He blushed, a deep green dusting his cheeks and he looked down to clear them.

When he looked up, the red headed assassin had vanished.
