A/N: This is being typed literally minutes after the last chapter went up because my wife is excited to introduce something.
I watched as the last shovelful of dirt came out of the earth causing the tree to fall.
As it did, the strange birch tree withered and aged to that of a hollowed out husk before it even it hit the ground.
The once bright and vibrant green leaves disintegrated to dust before it even fell.
The trunk seemed to expand and hollow itself out, almost as if termites had made this tree their prey many moons before.
When it finally hit the ground, I watched as the dead rusted oak trees around us come back to life almost instantly.
The rusted oaks were suddenly forty feet tall and covered head to toe with their signature rust colored leaves.
All of this happened in an instant.
When all was said and done, that's when we heard the, now, dead tree husk make a noise that we had never heard a dead tree make before.
"Fucking hell. That'll hurt in the morning." The log in front of us seemed to say, in a very feminine voice.
Without missing a beat, our entire group had their weapons pointed at the tree carcass.
Soap had a ball of electricity in one hand and a ball of flames in the other, ready burn or shock anything that crawled out of the tree husk.
A black painted hand suddenly appeared from one end of the log. "Son of a bitch! This shit heavy." The voice said again.
"uhhh" I heard Soap say quietly to himself.
It was obvious that Soap didn't have any idea what was going on either. Out of caution, I kept my broadsword pointed towards the sound.
The voice's owner finally managed to make its way out of the tree husk and stand up.
As she brushed herself off, I gave her a good up down.
She was an average height teenager, about 5'3", and had auburn colored hair with streaks of yellow and gold in it.
Her eyes were very intriguing. They were two different colors; a trait that was somewhat rare on Remnant. Her left was forest green and turned a very light green the closer you looked towards her pupil. Her right eye looked like polished gold.
I could only imagine the amount of time she spent stuck in her time loop had something to do with the odd colors of her eyes.
Her body was an almost perfect hour glass figure, with round, perky breasts, and a tanned complexion. (I am quiet literally typing this as my wife describes her)
She was wearing a black stretchy crop top with a black leather halter zipper top overlay. Her pants were these camo, baggy, cargo pants. The camo design was different than any other camo design than I had ever seen. She also had a black, cloth belt holding up a satchel on the left side of her body.
Her boots were black leather and hard tipped, presumably with some kind of metal under the toe of the boot.
It was a very unique outfit if I had to say.
"YOU!" She said walking up to Andy, clapping her hands enthusiastically. "Overactive imagination my ass, you got it right on the first try. 500 points go to Mr. Andy here."
Andy seemed puzzled. "Is this pipsqueak talking to me?"
She frowned, "You do realize that my fist is the same height as your balls right?"
We all backed up, keeping our weapons trained on the mystery person.
The next few minutes happened very quickly, I blinked and she disappeared and then reappeared next to Soap.
She seemed to bounce around as she moved, almost like she was teleporting.
"Oohhhhh, that's so fucking cool. How the hell are you holding fire and electricity? Is it magic? Is it a fucking hologram?" She then reached and touched the ball of electricity that Soap was holding. "Fuck, Nope, not a hologram." She shook her hand.
Soap jumped back, drawing his pistol and pointing it where the mystery person was standing moments before. The mystery person the reappeared next to Soap and turned his face to look at her's, "Nice, your eyes are also heterochromatic."
She then stepped backwards, disappearing again before she reappeared next to me, "Are those ears real? If they are, do you also have human ears under your hair?"
She disappeared again, before reappearing next to my broadsword, "How is it that you are so tiny and yet holding such a big fucking sword? Also, is that a real gun in the sword?"
"uuhhhhh...yes?" I said slightly confused at the whole ordeal.
"Cool, hey when did that mountain get there?" She asked pointing at the massive, ancient mountain behind us that housed delta base.
"huh?" The rest of us said in unison.
"Nevermind, I remember."
Soap lowered his weapon before he asked, "And that was..."
"Around the same time that my universe smashed into yours, I wanna say around 60 million years ago." She said.
"...WHAT?!" The rest of us said in unison.
"Ok, lets just back up for a second here. What's your name?" Soap asked.
"Its Magnolia, but call me Daft. What the fuck is yours?"
"Im Soap..."
Daft motioned for us to hold on for a second. She started reaching through her satchel and grabbed something.
She tossed the item to Soap before continuing, "All I have is hand sanitizer, will that work?"
Soap stared at the hand sanitizer for second before he realized what she had heard. "No no no. My name is Soap, I don't need soap."
"Oh, that's a pretty stupid fucking name. Who the hell names their son 'Soap'?" Her gaze shifted to the rest of us, "I take it that the rest of you are also named after everyday household cleaning supplies. If so, the you all must be 'Bleach, Toilet Scrubber, and Shampoo.' That one is Andy though." She motioned to the rest of us.
"yay. another smartass." I heard Andy say quietly.
"Actually, Im Daliah, that's Andy, that's Rachel, and that's Kevin. Soap over their is our employer, and no, his name is not really Soap. I don't know his real name."
"And you never will. It will be a bad day for everybody involved if you do." Soap said
A moment of silence passed before Daft spoke again.
"Anywho, why are you here? It's not like the carnival is in town." She said looking around at the Rust oak tree forest. "Unless...it's invisible." She said excitedly, "I've always wanted to go to an invisible carnival."
"Why an invisible carnival?" Andy asked.
"Oh so you do have them here, that's because I always wondered what it would be like riding an invisible 'Ring of Fire'."
"A what?"
"Nevermind. Could we please go inside now? I would love a shower, a hot cup of coffee, and maybe a salad drenched with ranch dressing." She said as she started running full speed at me.
When she collided with me, I was swept off my feet and found myself face first in Andy's chest. The next few moments were a blur, but we all found ourselves on the floor in the main hangar of delta base.
When I opened my eyes, I was met with the overwhelming urge the vomit.
I stood quickly and sprinted to the nearest bathroom.
When I finally kneeled before the porcelain throne to empty my guts, I heard four other sets of footfalls behind me; three of which took an open stall to presumably do the same as me.
After I finished giving my lunch a second try, I exited the stall to find Daft waiting for me.
"Soap didn't need to vomit? And why are you waiting?" I asked her, panting.
"Because I am used to teleporting, though I will say that it's been a while since I've been teleported." Soap said as he rounded the corner to the bathroom.
"Y'all are just weaker than wiskey on a friday night. Plus I needed to use the bathroom and didn't feel like asking." Daft said, a smirk on her face.
"Ok. Wouldn't it have just been easier to ask though?" I said, exasperated.
"Not really."
A/N: Everything that happened in this chapter was supposed to happen in the last chapter, but I decided that it wouldn't work right if I tried to rush it just because I wanted to introduce a new character.
Especially one that likes to break the 4th wall and bring in references from outside the RWBY Universe.
So I decided to spend a bit more time with the characters and let them talk, which they were pretty excited to do so.
Especially since it has been over 5 years since they had last gotten the chance.
I hope you enjoyed.
See ya in the next chapter.
