Maddie's favorite part of the full moon was when they got to run through the woods like the wild wolves inside them. Then she heard the unfamiliar howl again, her parents just heard it for the first time this year and exchanged a knowing smile.

"Ok, what is that smile about?" She asked out of curiosity.

"What smile?" They asked in unison.

"Oh, come on," Maddie said, "I know when you and dad know something that I don't."

"Don't worry you will know soon enough darling." Her mom said moving around the sitting room.

She didn't follow wondering what she meant. When Maddie didn't make to follow her dad turned to her,

"Know what?" She asked.

"It isn't bad. Don't worry something good is going to happen."

They moved forward again, her mind reeling.

Her parents had always been upfront from the start, their vagueness, mixed with the knowing looks was starting to really annoy her, when the howl sounded again, she jumped unaware it had moved closer.

Maddie felt the familiar tug of the bright large silver moon hanging above them, my body trembled with anticipation so much, so she shook off the howl and whispered.

"It's starting let's go."

As she opened the door there was a handsome young guy standing on the front porch.

"Mom, dad," Maddie said once she found her voice, "There's someone at the door."

"Ok sweetie can you get it?"

Out of habit more than anything she rolled her eyes, and the guy smiled his plump lips pulling over his white teeth,

"I already did."

"Oh, you did? Well thank you who is it?" Her mom asked her voice pitched higher than normal.

Her eyes roamed over the guy standing there looking more amused than anything. He was tall, at least taller than her, blonde hair framing his chiseled jaw and whispered. "I don't know I have never seen this guy before."
